I have been coming here for over 10 years and it is a terrific spot. The manager Ryan, really knows how to give great customer service and sets the tone for his Nail Parlor. Rosie is a true artist and takes such pride in her Kraft. She is always upping her game to bring you the newest in nail art. She also cares about the health of your nails. I highly recommend, Ryan, Rosie and the rest of the crew at Nails First Palatine! Wonderful service!

I was a regular customer here until they didn’t wanted to take care of me when my manicure got ruined after 3 days. They didn’t care about loosing a regular customer and said they are totally fine with me not coming back there :))Also, there are only 2 or 3 people in this salon that know how to do their job good.

Absolutely loved the dip manicure I received here as well as the flower nail art done. And my girlfriend got beautiful acrylics done as well. Overall the service was incredible, everyone was so sweet and I had an incredible time today :)

This was one of the most unrelaxing pedicure and no-chip I have ever had. It was very rushed, minimal effort when it came to cleaning up my nails and massaging, the nail tech made me bleed. In addition, the girl next to me was having her no-chip removed, they gave her a bowl of acetone, and made her remove it herself. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here.

This is the first time I was going to a nail salon so I was a little confused with what my options were and asked a lot of questions . The nail tech I had was being extremely rude and had really bad attitude. The rest of the staff was great but the younger nail tech just made the whole experience so unpleasant.

I absolutely love this salon. I’ve been to a lot of nail places in my time and I have to say this is by far the greatest one yet! Their warm and friendly personalities make you feel like you’re one big family over at Nails First. Every single employee is so personable and sweet. They’re very clear about their pricing and double check with you before doing anything to your nails. And also... they’re so talented!!! My nails look fabulous and they’ve lasted a good month now with no signs of chipping or wear and tear. This is the only place I trust to do my nails anymore.

Let me start by saying I am VERY picky about the nail salons I go to. This one was very clean and every precaution for Covid was taken which was great to see! I went with my sister and both the ladies that did our nails (Dana did mine) did an amazing job. I don’t typically leave reviews but this has had to have been one of my favorite experiences getting my nails done.

My daughter and I get our mani and pedis done here frequency. We love the staff and their prices (students get a student discount). No appointments needed but best to call ahead so you dont have to wait.

I drive 40 min from to come here !!! I had been recommended by a friend and ever since I’ve been coming here, why? Because they do great quality work. My no chips by Nana can last me for 5 with NO BREAKAGE or anything. Definitely would recommend!

Walked in only days after a horrible experience at another salon. I was quickly greeted and given options for services. Reasonably priced and quality work. Nails looked gorgeous.

I have been coming here for over two years now. Really loved it but now again with the price increase to take off polish is ridiculous... $5 to take off no chip - this is a service that should be included when I am already doing a new no chip !!! $2 increase for pedicure - which always chips so fast!Last year they ordered new nail polishes and increased price by a few bucks now this year they remodeled and again increase...crazy!Girl who does my nails does an amazing job and loved coming even after I would make an appointment and still had to wait 45 min to be seen!!! Hate that they don’t speak English to each other and not sure about steralization methods either - inside drawers are filthy so who knows how it is in the back where they take the instruments.....I recommended this salon to lots of people but now time to find a new salon....

This has been my go to for a mani/pedi for the past year and I love it. The owner and staff are professional, courteous and take their time. It is clean and is updated.

So impressed and sad that I didn’t know about this gem the past two years I’ve lived in Palatine. Dana did a great pedicure, my feet have NEVER been so soft. I’m always afraid of the grater they use on my feet, the last time someone else used it at a different salon they sliced my heel open. She did a great job. Kelvin was so sweet and made sure my nails were strong enough to withstand moving into my new home this weekend. He took the time to have a sweet conversation with me as well. Even though I will be a half hour away, I feel like I will continue to visit nails first for my nails.

Most of the staff was very pleasant but the tech that I got was having a bad day or something... She was upset the entire time rushed to get my nails done. She was rough getting my acrylic nails off.... By the end I just wanted to get out of there I got to my car and realized the edges of my nails were super sharp and on top of that one was way thicker that the other ones I had to go back in I kindly asked if she could fix it... Her response was appalled that I came back she had such a bad attitude...I hope her boss has a talk with her maybe she came back to work too soon and needs sometime at home.I hate to leave one star but getting my nails done is one of the simplest thing I do to relax and this was just the opposite.The rest of the staff was very pleasant.

I went to get a set of acrylics and i showed the lady a picture of the shape i wanted. she cut the nails very unevenly, she cut the skin under my nail 3 times causing it to bleed a little and proceed to messily apply the nail polish on the wound which burned a lot. i gave her my card to pay for the set and while she left i answered a call i was receiving. she came back and tapped on my card and yelled at me telling me to hurry up even though i answered the call for not even 5 seconds. when she applied the top coat messily she told me she didn’t have anymore time for me and sent me to dry my nails even tho when they were drying she was just sitting on one of the pedicure seats talking to the other lady workers. i have been to this salon about 5 times and i have only like the service and end product ONCE and that was definitely not today. definitely never going here ever again after today.

Jenny is awesome with acrylics! My nails are always even and beautiful when she does my nail!!

I’ve never had my nails done so bad... Tina was a disaster. She didn’t understand English, she couldn’t speak English. The latter wouldn’t be that upsetting if she was at least a good technician, but it was not the case. She couldn’t provide advice which I was seeking (except for the repetitive “don’t worry”); she kept painfully grabbing my fingers (despite of the burn on one of them), she attached chips which were extremely big for my natural nail bed; she applied so much gel that it made my nails look unnaturally thick. Literally, in 20 years of using nail salons’ services, I’ve never been provided with such poor service and never complained about nail care.

Been going to Nails 1st for more than a year. The owners are so Friendly and they all do an Excellent job, and at a very fair price! I have brought many many friends there for Pedicures and they all love it too!! I Highly Recommend this shop. :)

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. They immediatley asked me to take a seat at one of the pedicure stations. They then left me there for 20 minutes with feet in cold water before anyone even said “so sorry - it’s going to be a while longer”. I am patient, so I was Ok with that. But then after 45 minutes with my feet in increasingly colder water (in Chicago winter) I had enough and asked for a towel to dry my feel and leave. All I got was a “sorry hon”. Won’t be going back there again.

Great service, nice people, reasonable prices. And my nails look great too.

This place is clean and very fast. Ask for Tina to get a gel fill. Her designs are very nice.

Very accommodating, end product is always superior

It is new years day, I was desperate to get my nails done so I called around yes there were some places open but holy crap you can tell they were so mad they were open... so I called and got Ryan on the phone( never been there and my usual girl just had a baby) he was so inviting and really wanted me to come in and was so genuinely excited that it was new years day and that I had called( I work in the service and customer service industry) lol I felt I was seeing myself so excited and blessed to have my clients come in to see me and my girls... then he was so amazing about my nails gentle and he was so into what my needs were he said Im getting to know you and he felt so happy that I choose him (wow its like music to my ears, I really appreciate when I get treated as I would treat anyone) he says you are my boss I work for you so your needs will be met just lets get to know eachother... he is so humble its refreshing. Also I met his little man mama and some girls working there and they are all so inviting and the environment was such family oriented... in the end love this place and finally found a home for my pampering needs

If I could give it no stars or a negative -5 stars I would. this is absolutely the worst manicure I have ever gotten by far. I went in to get a fill on my acrylics with no chip on top like I normally do. All of my nails are different shapes and lengths and the neon yellow color I picked out N68 looked COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than it looked in the bottle. My nails look like bubbles and they are a horrid color and shape. I had asked to cut them down and they did, but so damn short that I cant even scratch my head. I absolutely hate this place with all my being and on top of that, I have a broken finger and asked the guy who was doing my nails to be careful but he disregarded what I had told him and worked with my finger the way he wanted to, to the point where I gasped and almost cried when he bended my broken finger back. please dont go to this place if you want a nice manicure.

Nope.** my legs itched all day while out with my cousin for her bday until I was able to get home and shower **I called the day before to make appointments for my cousin -mani/pedi- and I -hot stone pedicure- I explained 3 times that I need to have 3 services done. He clearly did not understand me.My cousin got a manicure, pedicure and we sat at the drying table for like 6 minutes and we were still done and out the door by 12:02.I did not get a hot stone pedicure. My cousin, who is 8, could have done a better job. She offered to use a cheesecond grater on my feet (the cover actully had a picture of cheese on it) and I still have rough skin on my heels (* I regularly get pedi so honestly my feet are not bad)The scrub was more like gritty goo being smushed around on my legs. Gently. The massage was pitiful, even after I asked if she could do a bit more pressure.Then she starts painting my toes. So I ask if my appointment was a quick pedi or a hot stone. She says, I dont know (he) told me pedicureLong story short.. I will not be back and I do not suggest going. The prices are average and the quality of service is POOR.
