Appointment was from 8 am to 5pm with assurances would be contacted if delayed. Service man called at 5:50 pm was not going to make it. How much more unreliable could they get?

After three visits from Sears repairmen, our washing machine is still not fixed. They have ordered the wrong parts each time and have no idea how to fix it. Supposedly, the last technician recommended a replacement washer, and we were told we would hear from Sears in 3-5 days. Today is day 4 and we are still waiting to hear from them.

I was not satisfied with our repair and will never buy another appliance from Sears. I had a piece break off that allowed the french door to close. It took 2 months for the first serviceman to come. He stayed on the phone one hour trying to make sure the correct part was ordered. He scheduled the next open appointment for 6 weeks later. The wrong part came in 2 weeks so I called and they said they recognized their mistake and would send the correct part. They sent the same wrong part the second time. I called and was told I would have to wait until the next appointment for the service man to come and order the correct part. The same serviceman from the first visit came. He called and was informed Sears doesnt even carry the part to fix our refrigerator door. He should have been told this when he called from the first appointment. My Kenmore refrigerator lasted 10 years with no problems until this happened and the door wouldnt stay shut. Sears service is terrible.

Repairman arrived on time and addressed problem in a polite and professional manner. Nice guy! The only problem I have with the whole repair experience is that I get disconnected at least 3 times every time I have called In to schedule a repair.

My first repair appointment was not kept by repairman who falsely advised that that he came out at @ 7pm and got not answer. The appointment was scheduled for earlier the same day (10am - 2pm), then by 5 pm and was missed. We spent all day waiting on the repairman who did not show and we had reschedule (2 weeks out).

I called because a yellow caution light came on on my freezer. The lady I talked to on the phone talked me through unplugging the freezer and plugging it back in again. Twice. The light remained yellow-and-green (it had always been solid green until then). The lady then searched through the manual for my model freezer and could not find any explanation of the light. She exhausted all her resources, and then booked an appointment for six days later. As I was concerned with what might happen if whatever the light was warning about happened during that time, she told me that if the food started to melt I should get dry ice and pack it around the food. Knowing that I can get dry ice at WalMart, I felt betterThe freezer continued to freeze and the light remained combined green and yellow. I originally had an appointment between 8am and 5pm, with a doctors appointment at 4:30. On the appointment day I went online and found that my appointment was scheduled for--you guessed it--4:30 to 5:30! So I had to call and reschedule my doctors appointment.Later in the day the appointment was changed to 4:15-5:15, and the repairman turned up on time. He knew exactly what the problem was--he sees it all the time. The green plastic cover on the power light is actually painted green on the inside. When the weather becomes very humid, the paint starts to melt off the plastic, making a big yellow spot in the green. Over time, he said, the green will fade completely, leaving the plastic cover looking yellow to white. So, he didnt do anything except explain what caused the appearance of a yellow warning light! Both the lady on the phone and the repairman were very polite--but WHY, if this happens all the time with this model freezer, is there not a NOTICE in the ladys computer to tell her the explanation to tell the customer calling about what looks like a warning light? My model freezer DOESNT HAVE a warning light--the green light just shows that the power is on. However, the manual DOESNT SAY THAT!So, because no one has told the customer service people a fact that all the repairmen know, about something that happens all the time, I was worried over nothing, had to arrange to stay home all day and cancel a doctors appointment, and Sears sent a repairman out on an unnecessary appointment! Someone with a real problem would have appreciated getting help that day instead of the next morning. What we have here is a failure to communicate!

This has been a very bad experience over a month with no dryer. Endless calls and waiting. Weve spent over $200 and still no dryer. Im not blaming the repair person, but the service overall and the endless calls and waiting from Sears to get a callback....unbearable. Call someone else.

Have a 1 1/2 year old Kenmore refrigerator. The compressor has already gone out. Since it was under a 10 year warranty, it was replaced but I had to pay for the labor. A couple of days later, as I opened the door, all the ice had melted and water poured out on the floor. Called them back and after nearly two more weeks, they came out and reset something on the back. The very next day, ice melted and water poured out on floor. The tech said if it happened again, it was probably the mother board which would cost me $600. I have already spent $459 and still do not have a working fridge and have not for over two months. I dont think I should have to spend another dime on this lemon.
