Daughter (three years old) enjoyed this place for awhile but we were then told of an upcoming recital. We decided to let her participate. For months they have been practicing their routine but come yesterday when they rehearsed their routine for the parents, my daughter could not focus and ran around the dance floor while the other girls did their routine. I do not blame them for that but what I do not appreciate is that come to find out apparently my daughter was placed in a group a tad older than she was, hence able to focus on stuff like that. The other parents were glaring the whole time and my wife wanted to scream SHE IS THREE, PEOPLE!!!!! . They also took pictures. The owner forcefully held my daughters hands down trying to make my three year old sit still.... again, she is THREE. It was obviously enough force to make my daughter scream Let me go!. The dance studio, more particularly the owner, could have told us MONTHS ago about our daughter not really focusing on the dance RATHER than let us pay all that money for a recital she will no longer be participating in. She apparently is unable to refund the money A MONTH before the recital. This right here just tells me that she only cares about the money especially being that she let us pay for a recital she knew our daughter could not do the routine for. COMMUNICATION GOES A LONG WAY! I DO NOT recommend Dixie Dance and Tumble. They are unprofessional and only care about your pocketbook.... There are plenty of other options for dance in Oxford. I would recommend you go there.
