Not at all impressed with the service performed on my 2001 2500 HD Diesel today. When checking in the service writer asked if I would like my truck washed. I said yes. I also asked that my fuel filter be replace since it has been some time since it was done last. The service writer said it should be done in about an hour so I waited in the customer lounge area. About an hour later the service writer stated the truck was almost done and asked If I wanted the truck washed. I again said yes. about 15 minutes later I went to pay for the work done to find out the fuel filter change was $170 making an oil change and fuel filter change $326. A bit of sticker shock but I suppose my fault for not asking for the price first. I then got in my truck to leave and they did not wash the truck. Disgusted at this point I just left. After making my first stop of my errands when I started the truck the change engine oil light came on. It was not reset. I called the service desk and they asked me to bring the truck back in so they could reset the system. I was 25 miles away so I asked the service writer the proper steps to reset it. All in all a very poor experience. Not sure if I will go back again or not. A lot of money for poor service.

Being as this was a breakdown on the Interstate, this was a nice experience!! The person we first called on the phone also called a tow truck for us. The tow driver (Sweet Towing) was excellent. He not only towed our truck, but also our camper, so we wouldnt have to leave it behind!! We are so very pleased with the service we got, but also the treatment we got was amazing. They kept updating us on the progress, and what was found. They also told us up front what the cost would be, and gave us the opportunity to approve, or not approve. The truck was fully repaired, and my husband now says it drives better than ever! Thank you so much for the service, and the treatment we received from everyone there. Also like the big area for customers to sit while waiting for service to be done. Liked the ammenities there for the customers, and also the charging station was nice as well for the phones. Also, plenty of magazines there as well!!!

Honestly, I thought since this was a bigger dealership that it’d be run more efficiently and professionally. I first began my interaction at drop off by stating “I have a warranty, and whatever is not covered in my warranty DO NOT TOUCH IT. My brother in law is a mechanic and will fix it for half the price.” My car sat all week in the shop. The first phone call I received had told me what WAS and WAS NOT covered in my warranty. During a phone call it was stated that my rack and pinion WAS FULLY COVERED, the other issues were NOT. I said “okay, do what is covered only. Nothing more.” The car was in the shop for a few more days, with phone call updates saying “sorry it’s taking so long we are under staffed” or “we ordered parts but they were labeled wrong and ended up being the wrong parts and that’s why it’s taking so long”. Which is so weird that you’d order different parts for 2 cars (I had a family member with a vehicle there during the same time frame) in the same shop, and ALL of those parts come labeled wrong? Fishy in my opinion. Maybe it happens, maybe it doesn’t. All I know is it was stated by a staff member at drop off that they had a hard time catching up on repairs. So did it really end up being the incorrect parts or could they just not get their stuff done in time? So finally, when my car was done, I was told it was going to be an $87 charge. How? Why? If it’s covered in my warranty, like you guys said, how do I have a charge? So I went in and started questioning my random charge, of course. Well 2 people stated they had called and left me a message stating the rack and pinion was only HALF covered instead of FULLY covered. So first, that brings me to my first initial statement….IF IT IS NOT COVERED DO NOT TOUCH IT. It’s not a difficult thing to understand. Second, I have ZERO missed calls or voicemails from the dealership as I ALWAYS answer the phone. No one called me, no one said anything. I TRULY wish I could say this is the first time this has happened but it’s not. House in OWATONNA MN has done this to me more than once. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but damn..you guys make it REALLY hard. I will not be returning to this dealership.

I was in an accident and my car was totaled and as we all know the claim process can take time. Especially in the trying times we are facing in the world today. I was having to walk two miles to and from work daily. The sales person at the dealership that I had gotten my previous car from said they weren’t able to help me at that current time. I filled out an application for House Chevrolet and not only did a salesperson reach out to me but Jason House also reached out to me via email. They were both very flexible on how and what time (I work nights) we communicated. I visited the dealership on a Wednesday and drove off the lot in a much nicer car then my previous one on a Thursday. There were many obstacles surrounding my unfinished insurance claim but Ambria Morsching worked through every single one. And the only reason I didn’t leave with a car Wednesday was error on my part while insuring the car. It was a humbling experience to say the least. And I am thankful for the time and effort that was put into getting me into a car quickly.I will definitely be a returning customer.

Great atmosphere and great people to work with. My salesman was very eager to answer my questions and help in anyway he could. I rated my experience as 4 stars because of the fact that my salesman did not know the vehicles on the lot. He did not know the vehicles and what features they had. Although very unknowledgeable, he went out of his way to get my questions answered by asking and getting someone else. So, all in all, I am happy I could help the salesman grow and learn. But, I think training is something the dealership needs to put high on their priority list because not all people at patient and forgiving as I am.

As a first time car buyer I regret making my first car purchase here. I wouldn’t recommend any one buying a car for the first time to go here. Unfortunately I wouldn’t wish my experience on anyone else. Be sure to bring someone with you who knows about cars and knows about what’s in your best interest because this dealership doesn’t think about your best interest.My family and friends will not be purchasing cars from this dealership anymore.

Purchased a pre-owned Chevrolet Equinox from Sales Associate Josh Gerdts. It was a pleasure doing business with him. Very cordial, but very professional. You knew he always had our interest at heart.It turned sour then when we had to sit with the business manager Steve after a 2-1/2 hour wait. He was rude and tried to be intimidating almost to the point of calling us liars when when we addressed why we were not interested and we refused to want an extended warranty.Just some much needed negotiation skills. House was a top notch dealership as was Josh a top notch salesman.

Best breakdown Ive ever had. My nearly new GMC Duramax Diesel started shutting me down while on vacation giving me a service error that sounded like I needed to add DEF. I was in 65 MPH max speed mode when I limped into Owatonna late on a Friday afternoon. I quickly called House Chevrolet to beg them to take a look and they obliged. The Diesel mechanic had left for the weekend but one of the great girls behind the service counter took a reading from my truck, called the mechanic at home and began to solve my problem. Not able to fix it that day they gave me a loaner for the weekend so I could attend my mothers 90th birthday party east of the Twin Cities. I returned Monday to a truck that was fixed ( replaced a bad fuel injector on the #4 cylinder ) allowing me to head back to Kansas with no other issues the rest of the way.Over the weekend they kept my truck locked in the shop ( the bed was completely full of camping gear ) I was able to park my boat in the lot behind the building in an area that is well lit and routinely patrolled. Everything turned out great. They really bent over backward to accommodate a guy they never met. I am sincerely grateful to have had my problem in this beautiful town. Thank you House Chevrolet! I was coming from Apple in Northfield, not feeling like they wanted to sell. I stopped by House and Landon was on spot. He brought me any vehicle into the bay I found of interest, we drove around the lot looking, it was so cold. We drove ones of interest. Even though closing was at 7pm, I decided to purchased a vehicle and I think it was like 9:45pm before we were done. I felt no pressure. He told me the plus and negatives, the differences of the vehicles. I was very satisfied with my experience.

Since moving to Owatonna, Ive been a loyal customer of House Chevrolet and have always had amazing customer service until recently. Be aware! Theyve implemented a 3.2% charge as of February 2021 if you choose to pay with a credit card for parts or service. This type of policy seems antiquated and out of touch with payment trends.

Car was serviced on a recall, for oil leaks which caused fires. Replaced gasket. drove off oil light came on, the next day I went to check oil it was low? So oil must not been check after gasket? Also the offer you a car wash, to all there customers. So they asked I said yes, never got the car wash. Lol

The good people of Owatonna and its environs deserve much better than this rattlesnake infested dealership. Check out the following disclaimer to be found in the fine print of their advertised prices: “Pricing does not include any dealer added accessories.” In practice what happens here is that the vehicle you are interested in, based in part on the “House Sale Price” to be found in their online ads, is bogus. The real price is likely to include up to several thousand dollars in grievously overpriced add-ons/accessories. Said add-ons are non-negotiable. In other words, you can not purchase the vehicle for the price House Chevrolet advertises. You must pay the increased cost, the sole purpose of which is to pad profit. The difference in “real price” versus advertised price of the vehicle I was interested in is $3,395 as I write, $3,395! Accessories included such things as “lettering” (what’s that?) and “light bar” among others. Some of these accessories may well be desired by the potential customer but the point is that the buyer should have the option of choosing how to accessorize and the opportunity to negotiate the costs. This all boils down to a classic “Bait and Switch” situation, one of the hallmarks of an unethical and dishonest dealer. Put less delicately, these are slimeball tactics on the part of the dealership, pure and simple. Hiding behind a sentence in the small print does not change the overall complexion of this scam. I would not be at all surprised if the shady and underhanded behavior is limited to what I have described above, but given that I refuse to do business with deceptive and unethical dealers I went no further with this one. House Chevrolet claims that “100% customer satisfaction is our utmost priority.” How does that statement square with the facts? Honest dealers are not that difficult to locate in the region and car buyers would be well advised to seek one out, avoiding this one.As to the Response from the owner: Does anyone find anything in that canned response that is not absurd and laughable? Does anyone think that calling The House Chevrolet Buick Cadillac Team is going to be anything other than a monumental waste of time? No, didnt think so.PS: Maybe thats why theyve now changed their response ------ even they realized how vacuous and inane it was. And, Ive already discussed my visit ----- see above.

I have the coverage for the covered maintenance and never received a coupon booklet. I told the gal I didnt receive one and she told me I needed to contact the company? That was disappointing - I would think the place that set me up with the coverage could look into it for me. Otherwise, everything else was good, over an hour long though!

We were treated very well. And our salesperson, Annie was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that they did not give us any hard copy documents. Everything was on a flash drive that they gave us. But other than that we were very pleased and we appreciated the large inventory they had on their lot. We were able to get exactly the car we wanted with the color we wanted right on their lot so we did not have to special-order it.

Worst car dealer related experience of my life. I will never go back. I purchased a car when it was Walser. Great experience friendly and flexible. Now you can tell the only thing that matters is the bottom line. Didn’t even try that hard to make the deal work. Sales good. BUT service department manager bad. Let me tell you my experience. Car less than one year old and tire went flat got hole in side of it. Had to take over to show service manager. He walks out scowling fills with air looks at me says we don’t cover tire hazard problems and walks away. Just walks away leaving me standing there. I get it maybe don’t cover new tires that blow out. But could you order me one? Could you put it on for me? Could you help in any way with my brand new car? NO just walked away and ignored me. Totally frustrating experience why buy from someone service team is so angry with their job won’t help their customers. Had to rank with my worst customer service experience ever. I have never just been walked away by some who is in charge. He should have offered some options to help me and been polite. I can by brand new car anywhere just thought be treated better here but was I WRONG. Please think about how you wanted to be treated next time your dishing out $30k+. Buyer beware with this service department can’t imagine how they treat you with something more problematic

To clarify, this update is due to a condescending phone call I received from Julie House. Kyle C and the sales team, and service team, were extremely friendly.Update 3/8/19. I purchased this car a week ago and thought everything was fine. Come to find out yesterday, the bank was unable to verify my employment. I gave direct names, including a direct phone number for my supervisor. Today, 3/8/19, I received a call that they couldnt do the title on my trade. My car was registered in TX but is titled in Minnesota. I have since lost the title, requested last Thursday to complete the lost title document that needs to be filled in MN. I was told it was fine and that I didnt need to complete that since my car was registered in TX. Now, after almost an hour long phone call, because I refuse to pay additional funds for this transaction, I have to go out of my way to sign the duplicate title next week. I am extremely disappointed at this point. If I didnt really like the Malibu, I would be bringing it back.Ive always brought my cruze in for service here, even when they were under a different owner. I was sad to see Ashley and Jaclyn are no longer there, but Amanda was just as friendly. She was honest and up front about the repairs my car needed. I bugged her multiple times about the different parts and breakdown of the estimate and she was very helpful. It never felt like I was annoying her with the multiple contacts.Due to the high cost of what my car needed done, even if I would have gone to a regular mechanic, I ended up just trading my car in on a new Malibu.I dealt with Kyle H, Kyle C, and Jessica K with buying the new car. They were very personable, asked many questions to ensure it was the car that I wanted and, that it would meet my needs.Through the entire process, they were readily available to answer any and all questions I had. This includes the many how much longers. Ive had many cars over the years and dealt with many dealers and I was very impressed with how quick this was done.I will definitely be going back here for my next car.

If I could give this dealership a 0 star rating thats what it would be been going here for 3.5 years for my oil changes and it WAS quick but I was there over the weekend and it took them exactly 2 hr to change the oil and rotate tires and all they could do was give $10.00 off and offer me $10.00 off my next service talk about a kick in the teeth. I know that I wont be buying my next car in the spring from this location.

Everyone at the dealership was wonderful to work with and very friendly. I came in with a plan for purchasing a very nice used vehicle and trading in my current vehicle. After meeting and speaking with Kyle and driving both the used vehicle and a new vehicle, that plan was readjusted. With all of the rebates and incentives available on the 2019 Equinox and for a slightly higher payment, I seconded Kyles recommendation to give up the leather seats of the 2017 Equinox and go with the 2019 with cloth seats. My wife did also. The new vehicle gave me pretty much all the options the used one did along with and engine I felt had a little more get up and go than the used one. Plus it just made so much more sense economically. And being I have known the owner Greg for a number of years, I like doing business with an owner who is also a fellow firefighter.
