Do not use Melissa At uptown salon for hair extensions. She claimed shes done them for awhile but clearly not the case. She used the cheapest tie in wefts didnt put them in correctly used wrong color thread and beads. Had to go back 1 day after i got them the first time then again a few days later they kept coming out. She told me to brush them with this special brush which I did and the way she had them in their it matted all of them. The 3rd time in there she said she called them and they told her how to do it tighter so they would stay in and again a few days later came loose. She is not taking any responsibility and I paid over 1000 for hair I cant use the I purchased 3 months ago. Definitely not experienced with these extensions. Huge money loss

They have a receptionist, which is wonderful. The phone is always answer. Most of the time I can get done something that day! They are fully staffed!!

I had a facial with Sierra this morning, she did an amazing job! I had so much build up on my face from having to wear masks at work. She made my skin feel so alive. She told me what she was doing and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. Thank you, Sierra!!

First time I ever got my eyebrows waxed, the lady there Sierra was really nice and made it a cool first experience! Only 15 dollars for the whole shabang!

These people are super nice and helpful. Got me in last minute after my usual salon cancelled on me, plus was able to work me in earlier than my scheduled appointment time. Washed, cut and styled by Melissa Moody who did an amazing job! She explained the ways she could cut it and how it would make my hair look in different styles which was extremely helpful and made me feel more confident about the outcome. Highly recommend!

Great service and great staff. First time my bangs were cut and styled and I actually feel 100% about them. Even days later! What a relief that I dont have to keep shopping around for stylists because Lauren Yoder knows exactly how to work with them

I have appointment with taylor at 9:30 she text me saying she stuck on traffic for an hour move me to 10. once i get there, i saw her already working on some one else hair half way done, what a lier i sit there waiting for 15 minutes she dont even care . bad service i well never go back there ever again .

Madison was my stylist and she was amazing. She had never cut my hair before, but I came with a few pictures and talked to her for a minute about what I wanted and it came out just how I had hoped! She also gave me a few options while she was cutting that would make the style work better with my hair type. I would love to have her cut my hair again.

I had a spa pedicure done by Vivian. She is amazing. Very thorough and keeps everything clean. Plus you can go to uptown and it wont smell like the normal nail salons... which is great especially since I am pregnant. I also had derma-planing and my eyebrows waxed by Lisa. She is also amazing and so sweet. I will definitely be coming back to see both of them!

This experience was the WORST for a woman who was feeling badly about her appearance & was made to feel even WORSE about it when she LEFT. And then was BLAMED for it!Went in for a perm; 1st in MANY years, since Im not a foo-foo girl. I found that these professionals wont listen to their customers AT ALL. I repeatedly pushed the point HARD that my hair was hard to curl on the phone BEFORE I got there, several times WHILE I was there and they ASSURED ME that they could HANDLE it & handed me off to a girl(the managers poor little daughter who was allowed to use me as a guinea pig) who had only done 2 perms in her life, & only knew ONE WAY to roll- the GRANNY CURL, which I EXPLICITLY & repeatedly said I didnt WANT, & she had no idea at ALL how to trim up my mop. She took about 5 snips directly off the back(which was fairly even to begin with) of 1/8 so they could charge me the $40 for nada- but she clearly DIDNT know what she was doing AT ALL. I had to keep telling her how to do her job, and she JUST didnt get it. I dont know how to do that; Ive never done that before. I only know ONE way to roll hair. I got a really bad feeling about it.. This has NEVER happened before! Then they ACCUSE me that I MUST have washed or done something to my hair OVERNIGHT- blaming the customer for their poor work! I showed up the NEXT DAY so that they could witness for themselves what had happened, because some other ladies found me crying in a bathroom directly afterwards about the horrendous hair that I had to have in PUBLIC(& THANKS for sending me out in frigid temperatures with a dripping wet head! YES, I caught a BAD cold and I DO believe it was from THAT act- who DOES that?), much less pay that kind of money only to be made to look worse than when I walked IN... (& BLAMED for it) & these ladies(who took pictures for me) AGREED that it was sub-par, but said I should give them a chance to make it RIGHT. So I tried- and they (in front of witnessing customers) said that they DID want to make it right- and wanted to do it again immediately! (still trying to blame ME! Im a liar too, apparently!) Im not the expert but even I know that you have to WAIT before trying it again to avoid FRYING your hair! My ex-stylist, who moved to Texas came into town and told me in no uncertain terms NOT to let them do it again right away. The poor guinea pig girl was ADVISED by their expert, & I REPEATED the fact that my hair was hard to curl, but I HAD had other perms WORK in the past, and work WELL. Clearly- the fault lies with this salon! Its NOT the girls fault that shes inexperienced and was ill-advised by the expert and even SHE couldnt understand what went wrong & was OWNING that(but since her momma RUNS the place, everything is golden for THEM, and its MY fault that it didnt take? SERIOUSLY?) After talking to my old stylist(who was rather shocked, as many were), I decided that at the very least I needed to WAIT awhile- but I wasnt about to let the same girl guinea pig me TWICE. SO, I called & asked to speak to the manager(momma) who stood behind her girl, accused me AGAIN of doing something to it, so I asked for a partial refund(THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN WITH THIS SHOP. BUYER BEWARE!) because I had decided the best way to get rid of the MESS was to WHACK IT ALL OFF. Was a bad idea to begin with. She asked if I wanted another stylist, but since I cant do anything about it for some time(at LEAST 2 months), and my confidence in their INTEGRITY was GONE when they wanted the same girl to TRY it again(she really needs some barbie heads to PRACTICE on before she tries any more PERMS for paying customers who have an idea of what they WANT) so she asked if I wanted the owner to contact me- I told her that if they CARED about retaining my business, that would probably be a good idea! AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME. So I have no reservations about warning the rest of you out there that theyre insulting & a WASTE of money & time. Youre welcome.

Had a very good experience getting my eyebrows waxed. The woman waxing my brows was very nice and the whole thing was pretty painless. Nice decor and atmosphere.

Alicia is the best! She always does my hair perfect! Very clean place and very professional!

I had an appointment with Marsha Miller to dye my hair from a light brown to a dark fading into silver. She dyed the roots black and stripped the rest of my hair, leaving black horizontal lines through the blonde hair that she stripped. After stripping it she applied the silver dye that didnt take at all. So instead of having dark faded into a silver, I got black roots with a very visible line, and completely blonde hair that was fried and breaking off a few inches from my scalp in some places. She made an appointment for 8am the next morning to fix it., but called me at 9:45pm that night and canceled the appointment and told me to take that money to somebody else and have them fix it. She refused to fix my hair. After going to another salon, they said it was so fried that they were worried it would damage it even more if we added additional color to fix it. Terrible attitude, and refused to fix her mistake. I will not be back to this salon.

I get my hair done by Kandis Gray at Uptown! She is amazing! Shes awesome with color and also with cuts! She also does beautiful makeup! I wont go to anyone else! She is fabulous!

Over-priced and snobby staff. I felt like I was an inconvenience for the manicurist who gave me a mediocre service, and bad polish job. She was more attentive to her cell phone than me. Very awkward experience. I will not return.
