Went in there today to get my hair wash and blow dry as I hurt my hand. I was a bit hesitant as I have very curly and thick hair and not a lot of people understand that texture. Mira greeted me with a smile and said she would take care of me. She was very honest in stating that she is not familiar with my type of hair and recommended her colleague Melissa to me going forward. Melissa was off today and I was desperate. Needless to say Mira did a wonderful job!!! Def will be back!!

I have been going to the Sweetwater Salon and Spa for over 10 years. Everyone there is so kind and thoughtful and engaging with the customers. I have watched the owner, Mira, build this business up to the high standards it has become known for. I will never forget my first appointment. There was lots of conversation and care, as well as education on what should and shouldnt be done for me. My favorite service is getting my eyebrows waxed because they take the time to shape my brow while hiding a small scar where hair no longer grows. Before going to Sweetwater Salon and Spa, my experiences with this type of service at other locations was disappointing. I recently moved out of Oviedo but I still drive the 45 minutes to see Mira. I have found a professional who is like an artist with my unusual eyebrows. I look great every time I leave, and I wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. If in the future I have to drive a couple hours, then I will still do it and make a fun day out of it. I highly recommend the services here, and encourage anyone to give them a try.

Melissa cut and highlighted my hair last night. This was my first visit to this salon and first time having Melissa work on my hair. To say that I am pleased is an understatement. After having a stylist at other salon completely destroy my hair while attempting to do a balayage style color, that she never achieved. My hair was left broken, brittle and with 3 shades of blonde😡. After many tears I stopped at Sweetwater salon.. they were very prompt and did a consult that put me at ease that my hair could be fixed. The next day I went in for my appointment and was pleasantly surprised by the chance in my hair. The owner did everything possible while keeping in mind the integrity of my hair. It will be a process to get it by to healthy but we are off to a good start.😉.thank you very very much, now Im very happy with tears of joy!!! ☺️

I have seen Melissa a few times. The first time I called was on the spot and was seen within the hour. I wanted a super short haircut and Melissa pointed out if I went as short as I wanted I would not be able to even do a pony tail and given it was July she suggested going a bit longer. I listened to her and sure enough she was right! It was the hottest July so far and I would ave been miserable with hair all over my neck.I have seen Melissa since and she is great, VERY GENTLE (I have had hairdressers try to pick my brain out of my scalp when washing my hair). I love the place, it is beautiful, quaint, and peaceful. The owner Mary is very accommodating as well.I will definitely be returning and would recommend them to anyone!

I went in for my first Guyzilian wax. Mira was very friendly and explained to me how the process worked. She was very thorough and a master of the craft. I was very tense and a little fearful since it was my first wax but she eased the tensions and fear by explaining everything she was doing before she started. I highly recommend Sweetwater Salon & Spa!

She was great! Went in for a wax, she was very thorough and made sure I was comfortable. She knew how to help a client deal with any pain that comes with that service. She was very friendly and kept a delightful conversation the whole time. The pricing is a little bit higher than a run-of-the-mill salon but I definitely would pay a few extra dollars for the kind of service she provided (and Im a college student!); plus she made sure to charge in the lower portion of the range of prices and even charged me much less than within the range for one thing I had done. The place was very clean and very professional looking, not to mention beautiful interior. She also gave me some tips and taught me some things as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Awesome experience!

Sweetwater Salon & Spa is located in a very conveniently-accessible area of Oviedo. There, I regularly schedule my haircuts with Diane, an exemplary, intelligent and accommodating hair professional, who always exceeds my expectations in a time-efficient manner with great attention to detail. Furthermore, Diane and I regularly engage in riveting conversations, another factor I admire. In conclusion, I am very pleased and I cant recommend Diane enough and she has been my go-to hair professional for about a decade!

I would like to share the bad experience I had with Sweetwater Salon & Spa, Oviedo.I wanted to try out coloring my hair for fun. This was the first time I wanted to color my hair and I wanted less damage, so I requested them to not use any dye on my hair and no chemicals. Melissa, the hairdresser told me that the color will have chemicals in it, and I told her I was ok with the chemical in the toner, but I don’t want to dye my hair. She went inside and discussed something with the other ladies and came with the cup that was already mixed with something. She apparently applied dye on my hair. I have to say she did the highlights well but what she used was not what I asked for. The dye will slowly remove the color from your hair and makes the hair blonde if left for a long time. I believe that they wanted to trick me by just applying dye and say it was the color. It was very unfortunate for her that my hair turned blond by the time she removed the dye(bleach) (I just wanted highlights so most of my hair was black and blond highlights was looking so ugly). They kept convincing me that the color is pretty.I was so upset that my hair was dyed. I couldn’t just express how sad I was, I paid the money and I left. Although they said they will tone my hair, I didn’t want to sit there and get another service done with someone who permanently damaged my hair. My hair is long, and I have 18 inches of damaged hair. I went the next working day and I asked for a refund because I didn’t want to get any service from them done to my hair as I didn’t trust them. As soon as I asked for refund the owner Mira started recording my hair and me. She said she would take pictures to show it to Melissa because she wasn’t there in the salon that day, but she started recording me. I was really upset by the way they treated me. She kept accusing me by saying I’m such kind of a person who gets a service done and not pay. She said this at least 4 times and when I told her I’ll capture what she’s saying. She said get out, or I’ll call the police, it’s a private property and you are harassing me. I even texted them and emailed to explain how hurt I was and why I didn’t want to get service from them and requested for refund and they think it’s harassing. They just assume things and behave so badly. First, they damage my hair and instead of apologizing they insult, accuse and behave so badly to me. They think I’m harassing but, they took advantage of me for being a first timer and in fact harassed me by recording.Lastly, I want to conclude by saying that I am writing this review because I do not want them taking people granted and I do not want anyone else to suffer as I did. I was not able to sleep for 3 days thinking about what happened to my hair. The way they behaved later was more hurtful than the damage on my hair.

Melissa cut my hair and she did a wonderful job. I was seen immediately and she gave me some great advice regarding my haircut. Everyone was very friendly, Ill definitely go back.

Sweetwater Salon is outstanding! Melissa is a miracle worker. I came in with a trainwreck on top of my head. Another professional did highlights and it looked awful. I gave Melissa exactly what I wanted and she nailed it! I now have a GORGEOUS balayage look with all the colors I wanted from the beginning.Mira, the store owner is also extremely friendly as well! She created such an amazing atmosphere with each of her employees and CLIENTS! It felt like I was apart of their family. I cannot wait to go back!!
