Great course! Traditional in its layout, both friendly and challenging. This tree lined course in Overland Park has an intriguing appeal. Well maintained, even despite the recent aerated greens we had to play on. Several go-for-it holes accompanied with undulating, challenging greens. My group was from Wichita and very used to the trees, but not the hills. Blind corners but a great experience. Will come back soon. 👍

Great course - gives you that Ozark feel and some really creative holes that will force you to use most of your clubs.The staff there is top notch. Driving range is always off mats, but it is lighted so you can hit at night if you wish. Good chipping/putting area too.Clubhouse is a bit dated.

Got rushed through our entire round. Ordered food at the turn and took a bit to get in cause the people in front of us were slower than molasses and went in to pick up our food and it hadn’t even been dropped yet. Will not be playing here again. For $50 this may have been one of the worst courses to date!

First time to play there. Good facility and well maintained

We recently celebrated a 70th birthday/family reunion event at the Highlands Room of St. Andrews Golf Club. We couldn’t have picked a better site to have it. All staff, from banquet manager to chef, to facility manager, to bar and serving staff were unusually helpful, pleasant, and accommodating to our needs. The room and tables were set up to our specifications, and the all-inclusive services of the banquet manager and all AV equipment, dance floor, table settings and linens made my party planning very easy. The overall cost was very reasonable. The banquet manager was immediately responsive and flexible whenever I had email or phone questions, and she made the facility available for us to try out the AV system prior to the event. She stayed onsite for our entire event from set-up to tear-down. Our guests, including many young children, enjoyed the spacious windowed room and outdoor patio. The plentiful barbecue buffet and added sundae bar was a big hit!

The course was beautiful, the staff was friendly and accommodating. The service after our round at the bar & grill was top notch. Recommend highly! Great prices too!

Great course well kept

My first time playing the course; in all honesty I likely wont be back. Me and my four friends were arranged in two different tee times back-to-back. After the first nine we regrouped and tried to have a rotation where one player sat out each hole so that wed only have 4 playing at a time. We were also scrambling to play quickly. The Marshall we ran into didnt like that and demanded that one person drive back and put away their clubs after the non-player for the hole was observed walking towards the green with the rest of the group. The Marshall didnt care to listen to what we were doing, he didnt care that only 4 people were playing each hole, he treated us like he didnt want to listen so we just decided wed all turn around and go home. I understand that there is a rule against 5-player groups but a cursory glance would have seen only 4 people playing at a time. The Marshall was rude and if he had just warned us to keep one person in the cart each hole there would not have been a problem. I used to work at a course in the area and Id be embarrassed about my behavior if I treated a guest like this.

My daughter and her new husbands wedding reception was held on 7/20/18 at St. Andrews. The attention to detail was amazing. I realize how important a venue is to a newly married couple and you want to choose something extraordinary so everyone will remember your special day. St. Andrews is all that! The location is convenient, the food was delicious, the room for the reception was beautiful AND you dont have to worry about a caterer, chairs or coverings for chairs, candle holders, tables for special displays, silverware, glasses, etc. The golf course setting was serene and beautiful.And all the practical things aside, Amanda was amazing to work with. Her calm kindness was appreciated on multiple occasions. She was there to greet us when we arrived at the reception to make sure everything would go as planned. As only one event takes place at a time, we had the undivided attention of the entire staff.I cannot say enough wonderful things about St. Andrews or Amanda. It was the first place we looked at when planning the reception and we never looked back. Thanks so much!!!

Played back 9 after work. Fun course. Challenging to attack, but still very playable. Great land movement, with some well placed elevated greens and tees. Conditions were great, couldnt believe it was a municipal course.Want to play again.

I dont know anything about the golf course because well I dont golf. However, the banquet hall was top notch. Allison and her team made everything so simple and exceeded our expectations. From getting every detail right on the ceremony and reception area to getting all of the ring bearers and flower girls down the aisle, to keeping everyone calm. It was perfection. So easy and so perfect.Also- shout out to the bar tenders. They were some of the best i have ever seen. Great job gals!

Great public golf course. Lot of trees but if you can hit it relatively straight you should be okay. Good golf for a good price.

During Storm cleanup efforts, Toni, the manager was fantastic and truly inviting... Ive not golfed there yet, but if the staff is as great as the course Im coming back in the spring!!! Thanks for letting me keep the pole saw out of danger!!! God bless!!!

Golfed with my friends and had our usual social hour! Nice golf course and managed well. Fees are very competitive for quality of course. Nice layout with some good hole layouts. Worth your time to play. And, we played our fivesome in 4 hours and 15 minutes.

Nice place. Was there for a company function. Food was much better than the usual chow at some of these affairs. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Five stars!

This course absolutely surprised me with its layout and condition. I didnt expect much as a municipal golf course, but overall it was in great shape. The rough was a little thin but you expect that at a muni. Fairways were tight lies and the greens in great shape. One of the better munis in the area.

Great layout. Fairways are in good shape, greens are decent but a little rough due to the high amount of traffic. The main issue with this course is the staff. My group showed up to the first hole before our tee time ready to play. We were then rushed and hasseled by an angry old man who was convinced we were trying to sneak on the course. Do yourself a favor and play a different course, there are lots of local courses just as good where you don’t have to deal with that.

Another great golfing round at St. Andrews Golf course. The course is looking good. The greens are recently airrated and surprisingly firm, but Im sure itll pay off in a few weeks. As usual its easy to get on as a single. Great day for golf.

Visiting from Houston TX. Great course for the money! Fairways are lush. Only issue is they let walkers on the course. Walkers are great Monday thru Thursday, but Friday, Saturday, & Sunday it creates a bottle neck.

Love the new course layout. The greens are usually in good shape and the service is good. However, the speed of play can be slow... 5.5 hours at times for 18 holes.

Excellent course for my skill level, and I think with the variety of tee boxes, it could be a good experience for just about anyone. Well-maintained facility with a friendly staff. I think one of the best public courses in the Kansas City area.

Was looking forward to playing this course. My friend and I arrived this morning ready to warm up and putt a bit before we tee off. Sadly when we checked in we discovered we had been included in a fivesome...what course in their right mind sets up fivesomes !!It’s one thing to allow them on the course (which I don’t approve of), it’s all together something different when the course itself promotes it. It must be about the all mighty dollar and the heck with the experience. On that alone I’d never come back...BTW, we walked off and did not play the course.Played another city course in Overland Park yesterday, beautiful course but saw no less than 3 fiveaomes...must be an OP thing.

Have played about 30 rounds here never has it been under 4.5 hours usually 5 on 18 holes, 9 holes takes 3 hrs on evenings because they double tee time ppl off the front and back every five minutes. very short course, the management does not care about anything but packing ppl on. The marshals just act like its normal if you ever see one. Im officially done playing it and will be spending the extra 2-5$ depending on time of the day and make my way over to iron horse or sycamore a true 6800-7000 yd course with minimal waiting and keep on track with the 4 hr round policy as well as issuing full refunds for rain checks not skimming 3 dollars off you by acting like you paid for a 14$ cart but the carts actually cost 16$ shady place, If you ask me. Donzo 🤘

I really enjoy this course, its not too difficult but it is challenging enough to make you work. Lots of fun to play and the pricing isnt too bad.

Fun golf outing at a course I hadn’t played at in years. Not very challenging, and fairly open, so I scored better than I’m used to, which was fine with me!

Worst golf experience ever. We had 2 groups cut in front of our group twice on a busy Saturday evening. It was apparent that people were hole jumping . They did not even having the courtesy of asking if they could play though, and of course, we had to wait on them for several holes as well. We never saw a marshal. Play was held up by a wedding party taking photographs out on 6th hole. While playing the 9th green there was a wedding guest on the balcony heckling a member of our group. I will never play there again. Good luck on your wedding business, as that seems to be the current priority for St. Andrews.

The marshalls are a holes. They dont tell you about tournaments and expect you to play the same nine twice. Will never play here again. Heritage is nicer and friendlier staff.
