We just moved in the area and found this shop by luck. Very cool ambience. My teenage son loved his haircut. He is very picky and specified exactly how he wanted his cut and it’s what Nick gave him. Very talented barbers!

Ive been here twice in the last 3 weeks. Once for a date downtown Chicago, and just the other day for a wedding Im attending Saturday. Nick and his brother are very friendly, professional, and make you feel welcome. I cant imagine going anywhere else while I remain living in the area.

These guys are you but good at their craft. On top of that, they are in a great location in downtown Oswego, and they arent expensive. I take two toddlers here so they are super good with kids haircuts as well. I wouldnt hesitate to make an appointment if youre looking for a new barber.

Made an appointment over a week in advance just to come in for the appointment and be told at that moment the shop owner didnt come in at all. Very unprofessional! The barber who was there said it isnt the first time either and I quote I dont know why he does this, but he didnt come in today. Im sorry he didnt call you. Who runs a business like that?!

Was referred by a friend to bring my son here and my expectations were exceeded. My son is 7 and had a bad experience at a different barbershop from the barber being a bit rough and my son had no interest in ever going back to one. After I decided to try cut his hair myself (and failed 😂 whoops) the owner was able to fit us in almost immediately. I was a bit worried about my son being sensitive to the clippers but the barber was so gentle and made it a fun experience for him. I was beyond happy with the outcome. Oh and also after chopping my sons hair off he made him look like a kid hair model. Will be definitely be going back.

I was recommended to this shop by a co-worker. I needed to have my hair shaped and I spoke with the owner. He told me if I did not mind letting another Barber do my hair and I could get done and out quicker. I was fine with that. I was very, very satisfied upon leaving this shop. Very comfortable atmosphere, very clean!

I happened to stumble upon this shop (for the first time)after needing 2 haircuts for my boys aged 8 and 3. After a quick Google search, we came across 5th Mill Barbershop. We were pleased to have an appointment within 2 hours of my call, which was fantastic. Once we arrived, I noticed that the shop had a really good zen vibe to it(relaxed and calm). The owner/barber(Nick) is extremely personable and did an awesome job on my boys cuts. He was professional, kind and even informative. Overall, I highly recommend this location for your cuts. Nick, the owner, has been my go to for a few years now and he is easily the best I know! Ive had my hair cut multiple places due to travel, and Im never more satisfied than after hes done his work. He deeply cares about the art of the barber, and same goes for anyone he hires. Cant go wrong with anyone at 5th Mill!

Stopped by these boys yesterday. The shop is really nice to be in. I got trimmed up by Andrew. Free hand work has me looking clean AF. The owner Nick, is a friendly dude. The only problem I have was that I didn’t realize they have been there for two years and I’m only finding them now. I highly recommend this joint. Can’t wait to go back like clockwork to keep myself looking clean and professional.

I brought a friend of mine in today for a cut- no waiting at all. My friend is deaf, they pulled up pictures and worked out what cut he was going to get. When he finished, they asked me how to tell him thank you in sign language. He got an awesome cut and it was an overall great experience!

I’ve booked two appointments and have been pleased. My haircuts have been well done and professional. My mother in law has been a barber for over forty years and recently had to stop cutting hair. I wanted a professional barber who knew how to cut men’s hair. My mother in law was impressed with my haircut each time. I’ll be a returning customer!

Got my beard trimmed there and was not pleased. Not only were they twice what I paid at my old barber, but it was uneven and not faded very well. I only gave it one star because I couldn’t give zero. Would not recommend this place and definitely won’t go back.

Awesome barbershop I been going to this barbershop shop for a little more than a year now and I can count on nick to leave me walking with a fresh cut every time.

Nick has a nice thing going on in here in Yorkville. He definitely knows his way around a set of clippers and straight razor. I’ll be back time and again and be sure to send anyone I know looking for a modern barber his way.
