I have been going to APG health for over 6 years now. I have seen so many changes in the staff and the doctors. I was referred to Maria about 5 or so years ago after my first doctor left. Maria was slightly different from my last doctor and could not prescribe me the same medication dosage I was receiving before. Although that wasn’t a really big deal to me, Maria did her best to help me every way she could. Since then Maria has been absolutely amazing. She truly cares about the well-being of her patients, and takes many factors into account, not just your mental health. I had an emergency last week and needed to be seen ASAP. I sent a message on the portal and had someone from the office call to schedule an appointment about 2 hours later. I was able to get in the next day with Maria, and she helped me with the issues I was having. I used to really really dislike the office staff and the way they treated their patients. I was very very close to leaving multiple times not because of the doctors, but because of the office staff. They were extremely rude, didn’t listen to you, and NEVER called back. I don’t know what has changed this past year but I have seen the office staff do a full 180. They’re so polite and accommodating. They always get back to you when you have a question and can usually transfer you to your doctors assistant immediately. If not they’ll leave a message with them and my doctors assistant will usually get back to me that same day. I really appreciate the changes APG made and they have saved a very loyal customer from leaving their practice.

I was referred by a friend and I currently am with Juliette Nelson. She is super nice, positive and has such a natural caring personality and I definitely feel she is genuine and I’m completely comfortable with her. I am extremely happy I chose to give APG a try because she is amazing and the staff as well that I’ve spoken to when having to reschedule appointments.

I have been seeing Dr.William Jeter for 10 years and can’t say enough good things about him. He has always been respectful, welcoming and has shown to be true master in his field. I moved to Jacksonville 5 years ago and refuse to find a different doctor. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about your individual needs and will put in whatever time & effort necessary to get the results you’re looking for then I recommend booking an appointment with him. Make sure to do it ASAP because he books up fast!

Worst practice I have ever dealt with. Discrimination at its finest. I have been seeing a pain doctor as well due to chronic back pain and a prescription that is for 1 month last me about 3 4 months and they cant see me because of it. The prescription I get from Jesse Mayne last me about 5 6 months because I take it as needed. Now Im being told she dont feel comfortable. What a joke

I was a patient with Dr. Balsam for the last 7 years and for the last two years, I had been working with Dr. Balsam to get pregnant the safe way on medications. I am now pregnant, but once I got pregnant I was told by the APG healthcare that Dr. Balsam was on medical leave, which they are now saying he is retired after asking them multiple times. They gave me an appointment with Dr. Nard who went against everything that Dr. Balsam and the maternal fetal medicine doctor recommended for me. I went to get a second opinion from another provider at another office and asked for my medical records to be sent to my new provider. I see my new provider after a month of waiting, and they say that they cannot treat pregnant women. I call APG healthcare back to try to get another appointment because I am now without a provider and in my second trimester of pregnancy. I have not seen a psychiatrist since my one appointment with Dr. Nard which was in May. After being a patient for 7 years, the office manager is now saying that they cannot see me anymore since I decided to see another provider. This is not how you treat a patient/customer of 7 years, much less a pregnant patient. To APG Healthcare, learn to be honest with your patients. I had been asking since April if Dr. Balsam was retiring, and I kept getting the same lie, He is on medical leave. I would have found a better provider back in April when I first found out I was pregnant if I would have been told the truth. I do not recommend Dr. Nard to anyone. He is extremely arrogant and does not listen. He likes to hear himself talk. It was very hard to get one word in the conversation with him. All he would say is, in my 8 years of study with this and my 9 years study of that. Lastly, patients should be allowed time to get established with another provider. I was treated unfairly and this has caused me unnecessary stress during my pregnancy that I do not need.

Dr Jeter is an insightful and caring psychiatrist.

My experience has been a positive one with APG. I find they are responsive to my issues and needs. My provider listens and responds appropriately.

If possible, avoid this practice, especially Dr. N. To summarize quickly, he has refused for months to refer me to a psychologist, and refuses to even refill a prescription or see me now since Im past the check-up point, even though I thought it would be okay since he gave me two refills the last appointment that lasted for six months. I also did not have the funds to see him, as the pandemic has not been kind. Now Im told to find another psychiatrist from another firm. He essentially told me that I and the ER physician are lying, since the ER physician said that the prescription prescribed was negatively affecting my diabetes and Dr. N would not believe me at all. He also exhibits dangerous behaviors, including downplaying self-harm and deleted records of previous medications prescribed while screen-sharing with me, including records that stated negative side effects and allergies to previous medications prescribed at this practice. He also does not pay attention to your medical history when prescribing medications. He also stated when I sent him a list of covered psychologists from Aetna, he said I sent him a list of dead psychologists. I would advise to at least avoid this psychiatrist. I am out of medication in a few days and so far any other psychiatrist is unwilling to take my case so wish me luck.

Pleasently surprised that my initial appointment actually took the full hour! They took the time to delve into any and every relevant piece of information from my past and present to have a full picture of me as an individual.I felt so intently and specially cared for, and was comfortable allowing myself to trust their suggestions and help because of it. :)

It’s been three months now and I can honestly say my experience has been truly life changing. Dr. Nelson listened, I mean really took over an hour to do a complete evaluation and determine what was going to be best for me based on 4 years of suffering with depression and anxiety. She than gave me hope. She assured me that if the plan didn’t work we would find other methods and get me right. I’m doing and feeling great for the first time in years. I can’t say enough about Dr. Nelson and this place.

As a long time patient, I needed to ask provider a question about medication. I called the office and the calls were transferred to, 4 different people. The om, Alex, told me that my provider would not answer my question unless I paid for a session. I had a session 2 days prior and only wanted to ask a question about medication. I agree to pay for another session, but only Alex was allowed to take my credit card information. I was an exemplary patient and did not understand why I couldnt ask a question sine others ask questions about medication on the portal. I paid $135 but later decided it was unethical not to get a medication question answered. I work in healthcare and patients call often to ask a question without paying for a session. I was treated horribly for no reason. I cancelled my appt and will return. They obviously dont care about me.

Jessie listens to me carefully. Addresses my concerns with empathy, compassion and efficiency. She is thoughtful and asks appropriate questions pertaining to my physical and mental health. She is patient. I don’t feel rushed at all and I am appreciative of no contact appointments using my computer. I can recommend her without hesitation.

App Healthcare is the most organized, professionally staffed practice I have ever been to. I have been a Pt. for five years now, it’s as good now if not better than the first day I became a Pt. The front receptionist is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. She always greets me with a smile and a caring attitude. If I ask a question or need a copy of something in my file she is always happy to accommodate me. Never makes me feel like she has something more important to do. Dr Jeter always makes me feel comfortable. His attention is always 100% on me while in session. He’s very caring, humble, and genuine . Ive been seen at Advanced Psychiatric Group for about a year now. I continue to be pleased with my treatment and service.I find the doctors are good listeners and take my concerns seriously. They have me on a good treatment plan and I feel well cared for.The front desk staff are superb and treat you with the utmost respect.The parking is limited, but usually not a problem. The waiting room is small, again they keep a good flow so there are always seats.

Dr. Chyu is caring and professional. Just the right kind of provider to help our family. I do recommend her.

Dr. Zecevec is of course professional, which is important... but I also felt like she really considered all the awful nuances of my life too. That’s incredibly important as NO medical care, not even cancer care, is one size fits all. Everyone will require individualized care, and I’m so glad I found someone that understands and respects that. I look forward to working with her in the future.

I had no problem getting a new patient appointment. I have very much appreciated the attentive care that I have received from Juliet and her assistant Alexis. They are very responsive to any concerns I have and feel that they genuinely care about my well being. Juliet keeps abreast of information and trends in medications and has worked closely with me over the past few months to find the right combination and I am thankful to have found her.

I had Felicia for a few months before she moved. I loved her realness and that we were about the same age, and that I could relate to her. I was so scared to change NPs when she left but I’ve enjoyed getting to know Maria. She is so caring and genuine! Together I think we’ve found the right care plan for me. Office staff is great too, young and energetic.

I have been a long time patient here, Dr. Jeter is the absolute best. Especially since he’s changed his assistant, no complaints! I recommend my friends to Dr. Jeter all the time, and the staff is also courteous with the exception of his Ex-Assistant, Lourdes. Ever since Lourdes been gone, I have not experience any Issues. APG has been amazing, they have really helped me get better and the staff is so nice they are like family. It’s the only doctors office I don’t get nervous going to.

I have to pay double my normal copay here. That being said I feel as though the service makes the payment worth it. It is tough finding decent medical care especially in the mental health field. Luckily, I found Felicia Turner. She has helped me understand myself more and always encouraged me to be positive and strive for more. I finally found someone I could trust and open up to without feeling stigmatized. I was sad to find out that she will no longer be with APG anymore. I wish her success in all of her future endeavors because she is a beautiful person inside and out. I hope more people like her come into this field of work because her awesome attitude and empathetic nature is what is needed when it comes to mental health. I’m unsure about my future with APG, when I visit the office everyone is like a robot. I never feel like they care or actually concerned unless it has to do with a payment, but when I see Felicia she always greeted me with a warm smile. I feel bad about APG’s future without this shining star.

My dr is a life saver.When I had severe depression, Dr Nadjafi kept helping me until we found the right combo of drugs.He is the most confident, experienced, and kind psychiatrist I have ever met.His assistant Jessica is great and everyone in the office are super nice and helpful.

I was in desperate need of some help after I had some tragic life events happen and thank God I found Felicia Turner. She has been patient, empathetic and she is amazing at what she does. She knew exactly what medication I needed and I feel like a brand new person. The staff here is great, I am very surprised by the negative reviews. I have had a pleasant experience every time I go here. I really would give this place a chance, it had changed my life and I know it will to yours if you need the help.

DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! They are horrible. The Dr’s here do not care about your well being, or your mental health. They will also mislead you to thinking your insurance will cover your visit and then you’re hit with a bill over $200! A total bait a switch pill mill office. Find a a therapist who cares about you, doesn’t lie to you about your insurance coverage and actually gives you more than a 10 min session for a $295 fee!If I could give negative stars I would. Stay away! I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. It’s scary to think you can’t even trust a dr office anymore. It’s not about the patients, it’s about their revenue. No thank you!

We are always so pleasantly greeted when we arrive and we just adore Mrs Sasha (she is very understanding and patient of my sons very loud sounds and quirky behaviors(Thx Autism!!) we really are very grateful we found this practice!
