I called to ask about having my Honda looked at for the ac, and he said that I could drop it off and they would try to look at it today, but likely tomorrow. I asked if there was an appointment I could make, for a future day, and his response was “cars don’t operate on a schedule, they break down whenever. We’re not the dealership we’re not going to hold your vehicle for weeks.” I’m not sure why he responded this way, I was really trying to work around his schedule, but I also won’t leave my vehicle with a new mechanic for even a couple days without a valid reason, and some kind of rapport built. I simply don’t have the time for a fussy mechanic, hopefully he has some coffee takes a break and has a better day.
Great service and great customer service. I feel sure they know what theyre doing.
Not too worried about being taken advantage of because Im2 a woman with no knowledge of what to expect mr.Pinto comes highly recommended and trustworthy.
Treat you like family, work on my vehicles several time the only place Ill go 5 stars
Honest and clean auto repair shop. I have recommended them to others as well, never a bad experience.
Three thing s come to mind In regard to Pintos:Honesty, quick turnaround and they dont try to upsell everything.
Went there today to check my car’s AC. Asked the man in the office if they would charge to check the problem and his answer was “off course we charge, all places do, people got to eat”. (I know not all places charge to check). Probably would’ve pay them to fix it but his answer to my question was very unprofessional.
My dad and I have been taking our cars to Pintos AC & Auto Repair for a couple of years now. They have great mechanics; they do it right the first time, your car is ready when promised and they treat you right. If youre looking for a neighborhood repair shop that treats you like a neighbor, take your car to Pintos. You wont be sorry!
They were all very helpful and willing to work with me.
Absolute worst experience with customer service ever. I eased my car to the local complete automotive repair shop called PINTOS. I used to live less than a mile away and worked across the warehouse complex where they are currently located. Id seen them working on old drag racing cars and vintage muscle cars regularly.I brought my 86 corvette in and explained that it wont shift out of second gear(automatic transmission). I explained that it was my fathers car and it meant a lot to me and I wanted to support the local business. Im not kidding when I say that it took months to get my car back. After multiple calls and visits to the shop and seeing my 30 year old car baking in direct sunlight and rain I was told that the car was finally done and I could come get it. I paid 896.98 after the owner waived 13 hours of service at $90 an hour because it took so long.I left pintos to get gas and opened the hood to take a look... first noticeable thing was that my hood almost fell off because the entire inner fender well that holds the hood up had been ripped in half. After quick inspection I found matching smash marks on both sides of my hood. I have a great idea of how it happened but that is beside the point. I brought it back immediately and he acted surprised and asked me if the damage was there before I dropped it off. WHAT???Please, please, please! If you love your car. Even if you just like your car, do not take your car here.I paid the $896.89 because of transmission shifting issues and it shifted with great difficulty before eventually doing the same thing I brought it in for after 37 MILES!I paid all that money and ended up with a car in worse condition that it came in. The amount of time it sat in the sun fully burned out my entire digital dash cluster, they neglected to put aesthetic engine compartment pieces back in the car, they smashed my fender well, and destroyed the fiberglass and paint on both sides of my hood.I never received any call back or follow up information. I paid them and they smashed my car. I dont feel safe going back and I would suggest that anybody seek other options before being scammed by these individuals. Do not support this local businessThe car was dropped off 4/20/17 and picked up 7/24/17. I just discovered google reviews and felt it necessary to post this
Did a great job diagnosing issue and reasonable price to repair. Great communication too
Billy and crew get the job done. Rare to find a trustworthy auto shop these days. Keep up the good work.
Once again they’re keeping me and my family safe on the road. Fair price for labor and good group of guys. Thanks again!
Love having a small shop in my community that actually looks out for me, doesn’t just try to sell me things I don’t need for a profit! Cute spot with drinks/snacks if you have to wait. Would recommend!
Great bunch of knowledgeable and honest guys! Very reasonable prices!
Fair, accurate and honest best describes my experience. Glad i was referred to them for a second opinion.
I happened upon this auto repair shop because my regular mechanic of 25 years closed his shop and transferred his phone to this establishment. I was told that they do business in the same manner so I decided to give them a try. I came in for an estimate. Was I horrified and disappointed at how Shady and deceitful they where. They claimed the vehicle had lots of urgent repairs that needed to be done the same day. Including tires that were about to blow. I didnt feel comfortable with their Diagnostics and how hard they were trying to pressure me to do the work that day so I took the car elsewhere including a reputable tire place in town and found quite a different version. I am truly disappointed this is where customers of what was a great mechanic shop are being rerouted.
I have been using Pintos auto repair for several years. They have always completed quality work. Although theyre not always the lowest price for the project they get it done on time and they get it right the first time. I have tried several other cheaper solutions only to waste my time and have to make multiple trips to solve one problem. I highly recommend Pintos auto they have worked on my new Mercedes-Benz as well as my classic Chevy Chevelle
I took my husbands car because Genes had relocated to Pintos. I dont know if the price I was given is because Im a woman or because they are delusional. Their manners where filled with an underlying tone of standoffish behavior and shadiness (mind you I said nothing of what they should or should not do. Im not about to tell someone how to do their jobs). After they looked at the car for maybe 15 mins they said they didnt know what was wrong with it and they needed for me to leave it there so they can diagnose. If in the first 45 mins they couldnt tell what was wrong then Ill have to pay their $109 an hour fee. WHAT?!? Neither my husband or me get paid 109 an hour, theres no way Im paying that much for a diagnostic.I continued to hear how they didnt know what was causing the misfiring and that if it were to be the spark plugs, because of the model of the car, I was looking at $350 and that it could also be moisture in the tank and that was a whole other process Do they realize a $10 can of Sea Foam takes care of that?) . Well no estimate was given other than leave the car here. Uhmm hell no. At this point I wanted to get out of there as fast as possible.I took the car to Carlitos tires (giving credit where credit is due. Im not affiliated with Carlistos tires) where no shadiness was to be had. For $50 they diagnosed the car. The fuel injection was dirty AF $60 to clean it from black tar to awesome clean and three motor mounts needed to be replaced. At Pintos they said the car was running rough due to misfiring... no it was the motor mounts. So the car two days at Carlitos tires, diagnosed, cleaned fuel injection, 3 motor mounts replaced with parts and labor a total of $500 and something. Yeah not going back to Pintos if it were the last place on earth.
Great crew rogeris quick to help and will track down any parts you need
Charged me the same price as the dealer, so why am I coming here when I can sit in comfort and drink starbucks and eat snacks for free
I have taken my car in the past to Pintos and again most recently as yesterday. I read several negative comments on here and was a bit concerned, but Im happy to report they did a great job of repairing the problem, and they did not suggest any unnecessary repairs, etc. I am pleased with their work and I will continue to refer and recommend Pintos to anyone who needs their car serviced and/or repaired.
2 yrs ago billy worked on my svt cobra. he did a great job. i live 50 miles away in poinciana, and have another mustang, yesterday i went to get some work done and again, an outstanding job by his shop. his guy javi busted his ass most of the day trying to get this triple gauge pod cluster to work. good job guys....recommend
Great service and amazing selection of parts for imports. Locally owned.
Great place to get performance parts and mechanical work
Mr Pinto is the only mechanic I trust with my 99 Ford ranger. Fast and friendly service any time all the time
I had a flat tire and Pintos Auto Repair patched it and had me on the road in minutes. Came back for a new tire and again, the service was fast and professional. Thanks Pinto Auto Repair!
This is the only place you should ever take your car!
