I had an air leak in one of my tires and decided to come in to see if they could help. Terry was very honest and let me know that they dont do tire repairs, but went they extra mile by pointing me in the right direction to trustworthy and reasonably priced tires shops nearby. He also educated me on how tire repairs should be done and why its important to get it done right.While I didnt get my service done here, I wanted to commend him for his level of professionalism and customer service. I was able to get my tire fixed on the same day at a great price thanks to his recommendation.

Love this place. I’ve been taking my car here since I moved here 5 years ago. They always accommodate my needs and take care of my cars. They don’t however do great with cars that don’t have computers in them (antiques for example) but that’s kinda a niche market anyways. They always give fair pricing and reward loyalty. Great experience. I was referred to Macs by AAA and I decided to go there instead of going to Toyota. I thought my computer system was toast and was extremely anxious to see my final bill. They kept in constant contact with me throughout the process. They had my parts ordered and installed in 1 day and my bill was 1/2 of what Toyota was going to charge me. I’ve unfortunately had to have a lot of transmission/clutch work done here, but it’s been great service every time. I had a transmission/clutch replaced with a used one and the clutch gave out on me in 2 years. The warranty was obviously done but Terry went out of his way to give me an awesome deal on a brand new clutch, which he didn’t have to do. Got my car back quickly and showed me the part that was clearly shot. Good experience, great work, and really fair pricing!

This place gets 4.6 stars? Must be people who work there to make them look good. Firstly I use to be a mechanic but now constanly on the road so taking the time to fix cars (or my own) isnt really a option. I was told how highly good this place is. With my car wanting to start when it feels like it, I had diagnoised it to possibly be neutral safety switch and/or brake switch. I took it to these guys and they claimed it to be the IPDM and sure enough the car acted as it did before. They said they searched online to help find the problem 😑😑😑... (red flag) A good mechanic does not need the internet to help diagnois a problem. And now Im out $600 with still a car problem. While I admit I also searched the internet the difference is I already knew 2 possible causes before finding a forum with the exact same issue. These guys arent mechanics, not even considered techs. These guys are more like parts installers (antbody can be a part installer. They finally switched the brake switch and wouldnt you know it, it worked (just as I diagnosed it prior before going to a shop). So I now have a new IPDM and neutral safety switch (a universal one 😑) (whitch did not fix the car) and a new brake switch (which did not fix it), no extra charge was made for the neutral switch and brake switch but the cost and labor of the brake switch, would have been a lot less, grant it again theres a new IPDM and neutral switch installed but thats on the owner for keeping it in, at least ill give 3 stars for that, the point is they should have listened to the customer rather then search the internet and should have at least refunded everything and charge for labor (ill give them that at least for trying) (again thats there problem for leaving the other new parts in, it doesnt help if its not needed)...GOING TO THE DEALER WOULD HAVE SAVED ME MONEY AND TIME...👎👎👎I will also say there is a possible chance my issue can be caused by remote key at which is a dealer issue....then again I did warn them about that too, so its not like they thought that up on their own.***UPDATE*** Finally getting a chance to look at it myself, I found the issue...its a simple switch next to the shifter, over time the metal piece bends just enough not to activate the red trigger which u can barely see in the pic...this piece can actually be about $1 and is the same switch used in pinball machines to trigger the plunger....so while I out smarted a master tech (in reality a master parts installer) its a simple fix that they could not figure out twice, while it took me nearly an hour and no need to purchase parts...and now from 3 stars to one...🤔🤔🤔 2 if the refund the $600

I found Mac’s online as I researched engine mechanics. I was pleasantly surprised to see the shop was open early and on a Saturday. I went there on a Saturday morning and spoke to Gene, who explained exactly what was wrong with my car and showed me where the problems were, which was two oil leaks and not engine problems. He explained everything I asked him about concerning dashboard lights that were coming on. I really appreciated the honesty because he could have conned me into getting repairs I didn’t need and I wouldn’t have known. When I took my car in for the repairs a few days later, it was fixed within a few hours on that same day. I was EXTREMELY pleased with my service. All the workers are very pleasant and helpful. I felt very comfortable doing business with them. The repair cost was very reasonable and I didn’t feel like anyone tried to rip me off. I will definitely use Mac’s for any more repairs I may need in the future and I definitely recommend them.

My Husband and I had our breaks go out while we were out of town to visit the springs. We found this place on Google and could not be happier. It seems to be a family run business with friendly honest employees. With the covid going on we figured we would be left out in the parking lot but no we were invited in and offered tv and stuff. They ordered our parts and repaired our car in no time. The prices are great and the staff is friendly and honest. They checked our air in our tires and everything filled them and test drove. As always, the customer care and service was exemplary. My vehicle died on the road and had to be towed to the shop. The diagnostic revealed a dead alternator. The car was repaired and ready the next morning and the repair cost matched the estimate almost to the penny.Mac’s Auto has kept my car alive and well for many miles and will continue to do so because the service is excellent, prices fair, and the owner and crew are always willing to go the distance to be sure the repair is right and the customer is happy.

Paid for a f150 transmission rebuild from terry at macs.It comes with a 1 year warranty but Terry offered me two additional years for an additional 300.00 so i purchased it.Everything went fine for approximately 1 year then something broke.I took it to terry he said the drum broke and that part was not under warranty so i had to pay 800.00 more to get it repaired. What a lousy warranty and a wast of 300.00When i picked it up and drove off i didnt get 3 blocks down the road before it started shifting loudly so i turned around and took it back. They put an chemical additive in the transmission and said to drive itThe shifting was rough in 2nd and 3rd but settled down after a few days to just a grinding noise from the shift from 1st to 2ndI went back and terry said to keep driving it that it must be the wiring of my truck causing the problemI went to another transmission shop and they said most likely there was some trash in the valve body or they didnt change the shifting solenoid when it was rebuilt.After approx 1 year it finally cleared up so it must of been some trash.I called terry to let him knowThe problem finally went away and asked him if i should come in for a preventive maintenance oil change. He said that he didnt want to work on my truck anymore.I still have warranty left but i now know its worthless.I thought a lot of terry in the beginning thats why i went with him instead of a national chain. I always like to support the small business owners if possible. However i would not recommend him anymore and i hope the ones i had recommended to see terry are luckier than i was. Best of luck

I went to Mac auto service hoping to find a mechanic who knew what the sound was that was coming from the bottom end of my engine I knew i wanted to just replace the motor instead of rebuilding it . Terry quoted me a price that was right in my budget told me how long it would take, within a week I was rolling again he said they stand behind everything they do. Macs Auto is my new go to mechanic shop! After having a horrible experience with another shop, Mac s Auto fixed my transmission and had my car running like new again. No more check engine lights or codes came up after they fixed my car. Terry and all the mechanics there are respectful, kind, courteous, and genuine. When a part took longer than normal, they offered me a rental which they reimbursed me for. I have never had such a pleasant experience with a mechanic shop like this one ever in my life. We love Macs Auto and will go there for all of our cars mechanical needs! We highly recommend them!

I recently brought in my 16 year old car for a major transmission repair, and am very happy with their service. The staff is great, and I know that they did everything to keep the cost of the repair to a minimum. The job was finished quickly, and they were also able to diagnose some other issues with the vehicle. I wish I knew about Macs many years ago. Ill definitely be going back for any future work.

Most honest mechanic Ive been to in Orlando. They wont change any parts in your car that dont need to be changed. True professionals, they know what theyre doing and wont rip you off. Theyre very friendly; i was really impressed with their costumer service and I highly recommend them.

Ive gone to Macs for brakes, shocks, a transfer case, and a fuel pump. Ive found them to be reasonably priced and easy to work with. In the case of the fuel pump, the fuel sending unit failed after 10 months, and Macs stood by their warranty without hesitation, replacing the pump free of charge.

I visited this business today for the first time due to reviews read online as I didnt have a hometown mechanic. Needless to say, I do now. The employees at Macs were very friendly, accomodating, fast and communicated every step of the way. They are also very reasonably priced and do great work with a smile. I will not hesitate to bring my car here in the future!Update: Took my wifes car in today after having issues with starting it. Great mechanics they really know their cars. I have a 2005 Ford Explorer with over 100,000 miles now. I met them through word of mouth and glad I did. One time I ran the engine while overheating not knowing it had aluminum heads they did whole engine swap probably 50,000 miles ago and not had a problem with motor since. Just had altenator replaced along with belts tensionator I believe its called all I know they know what they are doing. Never returned because of screw up. Had major work done all at reasonable cost remember you get what you pay for the boys at Macs are great team who have treated me fairly constantly in touch with me while doing great work at fair price and great warranty. They even came in on a holiday to complete an ABS break job for me now thats going the extra mile. Put it all together and you have one hell of a repair shop for your vehicle. Thanks guys I really appreciate all your great work and I recommend your shop to anyone with car trouble. I drive for Uber so I rack up miles quickly and you get me in and out really fast also. 5 stars all the way fellas and thanks again for your hard work.

Macs Auto Service simply is the best place to take your vehicle for repairs period! My wife and I were having charging problems with our Acura. Being on vacation it was our only means of transportation. I called for a tow which took two hours itself. This put my chance of repair pushed out to probably the next day. Boy was I wrong. Arriving at Macs the mechanic was waiting outside with a battery charger in his hands. They put two people on the repair while another went to get the alternator I needed after a quick diagnosis. Macs finished the job in less than an hour and I was speechless. I did manage to tell them that was the best service for my vehicle I have ever received and I am 57 years old. The guys at Macs have been taking care of three of my familys cars (our two cars plus my father-in-laws car) for several years now. When they fix something, it stays fixed, and when something doesnt need fixing, they will come straight out and say it doesnt need fixing. Theyre as honest as the day is long, and they are very flexible, willing to work around our schedules. We drove by one Saturday morning with a coolant leak issue and stopped in, and 45 minutes later, we were on our way. Their prices are extremely reasonable and their word is their bond. We cant imagine taking our cars anywhere else for service.

I am a busy college student and having a car is essential to my everyday activities. When my check engine light came on I researched local mechanics that were AAA approved to hopefully avoid the pricey dealership mechanics. When I came across Macs and read the reviews I felt safe taking my car there. I spoke with the owner directly and he was very helpful in explaining what exactly needed to be done to my car and gave me an invoice for needed parts before he started working. I dropped it off at 10:30am and was able to pick it up at 4:30pm the same day. The price of service and parts was fair and low (which as a college student on a budget, I appreciated) and the ability to pick up my car the same day was exceptional. Ive had my car back for a week and have yet to have any problems.

Macs Auto was first recommended to me by my dad when he had a quick, positive, painless time getting his cars AC recharged. I have brought my car in a few times since to get mine recharged as well, even getting my muffler replaced once (at one third the price of the dealership).Recently they spent a lot of time putting in extra, free, effort to locate and resolve the leak in my cars AC that was causing me to have to keep bringing it in. I have a Nissan Maxima 2004. I needed engine mount and oil cooler o-ring replaced. I came with the parts from Nissan and they didnt complain about bringing my own parts (plus #1). He had the best price based on calling competitors in the area (Plus #2). Mac was down to earth and after mechanic was complete they showed me the old parts and how they did the job. (Plus #3). Everyone at this place was friendly, kind, and helpful. Having been told that two head gaskets are blown was very scary and I knew it would be very expensive. This place allowed my AAA discount and I was very pleased with the outstanding service and price to repair my car.

The guys were very helpful and pleasant to speak with. They fixed my car quickly and efficiently, which is all you need out of a mechanic. They also, however, fixed something that was causing a noise underneath my dashboard - Ive taken my car into the Ford dealership at least 5 times to have them fix that and they never did. While the mechanics here were working on the other issue, they found out what was causing that noise and fixed it too. Blown away! Thank you guys so much!!

This place is horrible, they did an engine swap for my car and promised to have everything about the engine checked out, before handing back to me. As I drove off the shop, a service engine light lit up and now they want another 400 bucks to get it fixed. They denied any resposibilty, since they already got my money. Not to mention some people running this place are straight up arrogant.

Close to closing time, I brought in my 1997 ram 1500 with a spark plug that broke halfway while my mobile mechanic tried to take it out. They assured me they would get it done by the next morning, and explained to me theyre reasoning. The price was definitely fair and they all came out to get an exact description for me so the issue was understood. Im very thankful for their help!

This is the best place to go to. When I needed service for the first time after my warranty was over I was a little apprehensive of auto mechanics. I know must of them are not telling the truth and I know that they try to take advantage of females since we do not know about cars. My father taught me a good bit about cars, but not enough to really know what is wrong. So I looked around and found this place via AAA. I called a bunch of places on the AAA site and he had the lowest price. Better yet when I went there I found out the dealership (the place I originally towed my car too) said I needed more than I really needed. He easily could have charged me for everything since I came in thinking I needed XYZ, but he didnt. He was honest and told me I did not need Z. He shows you the old parts, brake pads, etc. He explains everything he did and why. It has been such a pleasure to know that I can take all my cars there once the warranty is up and know Mac will make sure we get the best deal and only do the things that really need done.

My harmonic balancer aka crank shaft pulley basically fell out my engine this morning, AAA brought me to Macs Auto. I have always been very wary of mechanics because of their infamous reputation for taking advantage of customers but I am happy to say Macs is a breath of fresh air in the automotive industry. Upon arriving to the shop, I was immediately being helped my Mac himself. His technician Ernie checked out my car and confirmed that it was the crank shaft pulley and my serpentine belt was worn out. He showed me exactly what needed to be fixed which was reflected on the bill statement. Mac said that my car would be fixed at 4 p.m. and sure enough I received a call at 4:10 saying it was good to go. He even checked my fluids and added 2 quarts of oil to the engine. Overall, this was quite possibly the most smooth and friendly repair I have ever had and I would recommend his shop to anyone. The shop motto is If it aint broke, we dont fix it. Cant get any more simple than that.

Went in to replace a starter. The starter Mac ordered was faulty, so they ordered a new one and installed it completely free of charge. Always coming here now for car issues.

Took my truck there to get the A/C fixed. Didnt even make an appointment and they said they could get it done within a few hours. No jerking around on the price or anything, very straight foward, told me what I needed and they got it. Employees are respectful of your vehicle and you as well. Would highly recomend!

Im a young woman who doesnt know a whole lot beyond what is necessary at the bare minimum to own and operate a vehicle. Natutally, this makes me an easy target for your average auto mechanic to be less than honest with me about what needs to be done to my car... and they usually are which makes an already stressful situation worse and something I always dread. BUT NOT WITH THESE GUYS. The guys at Macs treated me with respect and charged me waayyy less for several repairs that, when I did some research online to check the average cost of similar repairs, were going to cost me waayy more. They also didnt try to tack on any unnecessary repairs. Very straight forward. Very nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Charged $150 to change R-12 fittings to R-134, I had to go back because my A/C was leaking, they still charged $45 to fix. They charged me $260 to put on a carburetor after I was originally quoted $150, and mechanic didnt have the tools to adjust idle on it, the timing wasnt checked, and there were vacuum leaks,Im never going to them again. Its a rip off.
