Usually pretty nice, and orders of magnitude better than garbage companies like Aspen Ridge. But also weirdly disorganized in some of their procedures and records. They think one of my roommates from over a year ago still lives here, even though we told them twice that she doesn’t.So like, better than many management places, but don’t expect the bar for customer service and organization to be too high.

This is a review for the property management! I haven’t bought anything yet but I am hoping to use their agents soon!Matt and Gabby are great to work with!Any maintenance problem have been taken care of in a reasonable time, their handyman, Paul, is just the nicest and he cleans up after a maintenance repairs. (Ps: that is rare, speaking from years of rental experience)If we have any questions they answer promptly and have worked with us during hard times. I can’t say enough how I appreciate everyone in this place.Thank you and keep being great!

Home Basics Real Estate values their profit over anything else - remember that if you plan on living somewhere that they manage. They wont accommodate mistakes made from their poor organization. Stay away from them if you dislike greedy companies like this one.

This company is beyond words! They are very poor with communication and wont even talk to me without it being through email. Matt is extremely unprofessional in the way he handles conversations when you can reach him. He will hang up on you if he doesnt agree with how the conversation is going. I would absolutely not recommend working with home basic real estate. When we moved out we left a playhouse that they decided to donate without giving us a call first hadnt even been but a few days. If you plan on renting a property and they are the management company I would run! If you are looking for a good management company to manage your home I would highly suggest you look elsewhere!

This is a review of the rental application process. We submitted our applications for the house we wanted to rent, and then were called back quickly to let us know the next step. We emailed a copy of our drivers licenses, and the next day a staff member texted us and let us know how to go in an view the property on our own (being able to do it at our own convenience was nice, and it felt safer not having a staff member there due to COVID). We let them know we wanted the place, and they quickly processed our applications and background checks. Whenever we had questions they answered them, and made it easy to see where we stood. Were looking forward to moving into our new home!

As a former property manager, we were very disappointing in deceptive language, fine print, notifications, and extra charges imposed by Home Basics Real Estate. I would never recommend them as a property manager, agency, or real estate brokerage. There are many more out there with bad or average reputations that I would choose before Home Basics. I would happily pay more for an honest deal. I believe anyone in business with Home Basics will end up paying more than they were promised, but not quite enough to resort to litigation.

I recently was in search of a townhome to rent. I requested info about a townhome managed by Home Basics Real Estate. They replied very quickly and got me in for a walk through straight away. The application process was flawless and I was able to move in rather quickly. I recommend using them for your own rentals or to find a property managed by them. They have a great staff that are responsive and extremely helpful.

They dont give you at least 12 hour hour notice before coming by and they dont dont take care of the property and dont fix problems with the the apt.

Justin & Jared took such good care of me as a first time home buyer!! They gave me unbiased information to help me make my own decisions. They made it such an easy process and though they are busy with clients I felt like I was the most important! When we sold our house 4 years later they put up the most professional YouTube video to show off the house to out of town buyers. They really went to bat for us and we got WAY more for our home than we thought possible. I really felt like I had a knowledgeable resource knowing them. I asked them about solar panels when the sales people came around. I asked them about contractors to fix cement steps, when I needed plumbing, & handy man work too. They are incredible at serving! Cant recommend them enough!

Justin helped find our house that we love. Justin is very knowledgeable about the market and the value of homes. He returned our calls and texts very quickly. We love his assertiveness with sellers and attentiveness towards us. Justin bent over backwards to get us into our home. We absolutely love Justin and this company!! We will continue to use him for our future needs and recommend him to everyone we know is buying a home.

Terrible company. They were notified about damage blinds when we moved in. Because there wasn’t written proof they blamed us for it and said we never said anything about it. They will squeeze as much as they possibly can out of your security deposit

We didnt end up renting with this company, but we worked with Kaia when trying to find an apartment. She was super nice and helpful, and made our experience wonderful! If we ever need to find an apartment again, I will be coming back here first.

These are some of my favorite guys. We found them in 2011 to help us buy our first home. They helped us find exactly what we needed at the time and Justin was so good to be patient and work with us. These guys are awesome and I would recommend them to anyone for realty issues. They also continue to work with you and help after you buy your home. Weve had so many questions answered over the years after we signed the papers. Very impressive guys.

Home Basic takes really good care of you. I rent from them and my AC went out! They contacted Jeremy from TecniCOOL Jeremy is the best I would recommend him to anyone. He knew exactly what the issue was by me explaining it over the phone. He got here and confirmed it. My motor went out and instead of ordering the part and making me wait a couple days. He called around and drove 20 miles away to get the part to make sure my AC was fixed the same day! Thank you Jeremy from saving me from the heat! He was very fast got my house cooked down with in 1 hour!

Im a loan officer and have been working with the agents at this real estate company for 15 years. Great agents to work with. Ive used them to buy my current home and 3 other investment properties. Their rental management is a plus when looking at investments because they have a great feel for what it will rent for.

These guys sold out house in 3 days! They advised us not to update certain parts of the home because we wouldnt get a return on it for the sales price, and really ended up saving us money. Jared and Justin are extremely knowledgable and experienced. Caught a bunch of errors our buyers title company made at closing and got those fixed. Took a solid video tour complete with drones. We couldnt be happier!

Dont do it. Very unprofessional. They will rent out their properties without fire alarms in home, not do ANYTHING other than send guys to take pictures of it every time we complained regarding a leak coming from the roof, which was damaging the entire property, potentially could have been creating mold. They also claim to mow the lawn was $450 which they will do 3 weeks after you move out. So, expect less than half of your deposit. Just dont do it.

We are currently purchasing a property that Home Basics manages. They have been such a pleasure to work with, and have gone out of their way to help us as we purchase our first home. They have met us to have the carpet measured, make sure a few of the repairs were completed, and have done much more than I ever expected!I work in the real estate industry and work with 30+ property managers across the country, and in my opinion, Home Basics Property Management gets an A++. I rented a 2 level condo unit from HBRE for a few years & was very excited to rent from them. They were very professional at first & always kind. Two months I was living there I was put on bed rest for a hard pregnancy & they worked with me on my rent. They allowed me to pay late without huge late fees & penalties. That being said before i moved into the unit had to have the top left bedroom cleaned 3 or 4 times because it had such a strong odor of urine & an animal. Not a dog or cat, but more like a hamster or ferrets. When i moved in i worked full time & had a 2nd part time was pregnant, & was a single mom so i was usually at my moms. it took me 6 months to really settle in. The first time i went to use the stove 6 months after i lived there, we ate dinner at my moms. i worked at the hospital 5am-530pm sometimes 5am- midnight. When i did the maintenance request their response was clean it, you need to clean the grease out of it i literally had never used it. When a maintenance worker finally came. I couldnt communicate he barely spoke english & came at an hour i wasnt going to be available. My friend came over walked in while i was gone and the maintenance guy was upstairs in my room. I pulled up right after & he wrote a note that said stove no work right after i walked in & put it on the stove. What was he doing for 3 hours in my home?! Im my room?! I called home basics & they acted like i was lying, not one person did apologize. I got a call one morning from HB requesting that i call my cable company & have them come out & remove the wires because the trash truck could not get to the dumpster never had cable. He said i needed to figure it out because the wire was connected to my unit. I had been there a month. I had not even hooked up my TV. They kept insisting that i call my cable/ dish or id be fined but again i had none. Finally they came out to see that i didnt have any but i got fined for a maintenance visit. After i got settled i noticed things holes in the walls & when i slept i heard crawling in the walls... rats!!! You could hear them when you showered and took a tub sometimes, it grossed me out so bad. I left for a weekend and came back home and one had eaten through the wall! I never once saw one, but i sure heard them. There was mulitple floods that were never taken care of, the swamp cooler constantly broke, the outlets didnt work, there were ants & every year it got worse! My fridge broke right after we went grocery shopping & they brought a fridge that night, which was great, but the fridge they brought was older & looked in worse condition. The maintenance guy who brought it was a very old man with one arm who could barely push the fridge. My husband did everything because he wasnt going to dare have this sweet old man hurt himself. That night we went grocery shopping again & when we woke up the fridge went out! So i called HB & they would not do anything because it was a holiday weekend. Were didnt have a fridge for almost a week & spent 3 grocery trips on food. They finally showed up with a new fridge but had no idea how to put it in or anything so again my husband did it alone. There was a metal piece when he was helping them lift it & they let go, my husband got cut & needed stitches. I knew it would be a battle we just paid for it. The unit wasnt taken care of. i understand that their hands are tied to some extent with the owner, but it was bad. Every att the condos talked about it & it was frustrating. The unit sold as i was living there & i continued to live there for 4 years, 2 being home basics. I wouldve moved earlier had i not been pregnant with my own daughter, then as my husband & i were a surrogate for a friend of mine. As ownership changed things got better. I put a $2500 cashiers check deposit down with HB with $125 non refundable cleaning deposit when i move out. when ownership was transferred i was charged for maintenance, they added late fines from 2 years when i was pregnant & charged us 1 month rent when i had reciepts to show. Highly dissatisfied & felt robbed

Watch for hidden fees! Their lease agreement is 25 pages!! All adults have to sign separate leases. Have an attorney look at it, and they laugh and tell you to walk away. They want YOU to pay for the owners property insurance of $100,000

They provide great service, arent pushy at all - making sure you get the house you want, and are great negotiaters.

Home real estate is the best ever I worked with Shane he helped me and my boys find a place that was safe it was so easy I found a place on there app then I contacted Shane he got me approved and moved in so fast, now that Im moved in Im able to pay my rent each month on there portal when ever I have maintance issues they get it fixed. Thank you shave for helping me chsnge my life Im so happy I found home real estate.

Don’t, just don’t do it. They will break contract on you, force you out (so they can fix their apartment), then add charges to your account without explanation. It started out well, but ended terrible. The sheer lack of communication is what disappointed me most about this company.

This is just me talking. Even a couple of years after we bought our house through them, and the transaction is done, we continue to be impressed by them. I happen to be connected to Justin on Facebook (Certainly not a requirement to do business with them, FYI) and after our baby was born recently, they sent us a congrats card with a free pizza coupon and a free redbox movie code. No big deal, but it was nice. Thats just one example. Years out from the purchase, Im still happy with the home-buying process with them. And these extras are not necessary, but it just shows the personalized attention they give. Again, props to Home Basics, and Justin Schauers specifically.

My husband and I rented an apartment that was managed, not owned, by HBRE. We had minimal interaction with HBRE, but I felt our interactions were impersonal.Pros: rent taken out in timely fashion, little to no unncessary interaction with management, reasonable (not considerably low in comparison to similar apartment types in the area) rent priceCons: -the property wasnt taken care of, and while that may be the owners job to maintain, if HBRE is managing they also have a responsibilty to make sure the owner is getting things done. Which wasnt happening.-impersonal interactions (ie, when talking with them they seemed to be unsure of who were were,etc)Overall, our experience with HBRE was fair-average--nothing over the top. I wasnt impressed with the apartment complex or how things were run, and I believe that HBRE could have a much bigger impact on the improvment of that situation.

Fair and consistent. My family leased from Jared Schauers for 3 years in the Lehi, UT area. While we had few maintence issues, we did go through a basement flooding caused by our own ingnorance of how plumbing is done in the NW part of the country. Jared arranged for maintence to be there the next day. Once we decided to buy a home, he became our primary Agent for the home purchase. Suprisingly, after looking at the homes we requested, he showed a house near our geographic region which we ended up buying. I found him to be fair, honest and gracious. As well as intuitive to our familys home buying needs. I have and will continue to refer my friends, neighbors and co-workers to Home Basics Real Estate and to Jared.

Usually pretty good but theyve made some clerical issues that remain to be fixed. Theyll admit to the mistakes but actually fixing them is seemingly difficult. Their administrative organization is quite poor.
