They were the true Apple experience, but a lot faster and easier to reach. All the employees where very helpful. They didnt make me wait for too long, there was always someone touching base, and they called when they said they would. They even found out my computer had a recall and changed the battery and keyboard for free. Excellent service. I prefer this over the Apple Store 100x.
Ethan recently helped me at Simply Mac and was so great! He was super kind, personable and also clear/concise with me as to what the issue with my MacBook was and how to resolve it. I highly recommend talking with him about any Apple product issues.
I went to go purchase a new charger, and they pointed out the charger I needed. Spent $85 on it, and when I went home to finally get some juice in my laptop, it turns out that it was a later model of the charger I needed. I went back to return it, there was a 10% fee for an open box, even when the only way I was able to find out if it was the correct charger was to open it for two seconds. Nothing was misplaced and it was still wrapped in its packing. So instead of getting the $85 I spent to get the incorrect charger (and they didnt even have the one I ended up needing even after I called Apple support the previous evening), I got $77 back. I ended up going to Best Buy right down the road and they had it there for cheaper and they dont have any restocking fee or anything for their returns. Trust me, I asked them.
The team was great! The manager went above and beyond to make sure my repair was covered under the warranty, which I really appreciate. Everyone there was super friendly. Highly recommended!
My phone had a ghost touch issue with the screen. The staff at Simply Mac very quickly diagnosed the issue, and even replaced the screen within 30 minutes. It was a super fast and a great experience!
David is absolutely amazing to help an 85 year old grandma. I could not have done this task without David. In fact, I didnt do the task, however, David what aware that he needed to tell me the steps he was taking to solve my challenge. Please do not let him leave. Well, anyway, whatever, he has been wonderful.
Talked with one of my customers today, they said that when my company factory rest phones we add other software to the phone after the rest. Terrible staff that lies. In the past Ive recommended this store to customers if I wasnt able to help, I will NEVER tell ANYONE to visit this store again.
Thanks to DAVID, I was able to get the data transferred from my iPhone 7plus, to my new iPhone 12! He was extremely patient, as he clarified a number of my questions, as well!I appreciate the extra mile effort, DAVID put into helping me! Simply Mac is lucky to have him on board! THANK YOU, DAVID!!!
I have always received stellar service from this place. I have also sent several friends of mine to this store for that reason, all of whom have made purchases and/or received service from the store. Way to go, Simply Mac.
Very happy I took and chance and called Simply Mac. My computer is fixed and it was all under warranty. Highly recommend Simply Mac.
Very knowledgeable and helpful; friendly and respectful too. Never made me feel stupid with my myriad of questions!
Help was very helpful and friendly upon arrival.I love shopping here!!
Shout out to Mohammad who went above and beyond to get me the best deal on my phone repair. It should have been qualified under warranty and when it wasn’t, he made sure they made an exception. Saved me $250, and did a great job on my phone repair. Thank you!
I made an appointment on a Thursday and showed up in time, the place was understaffed and overburdened. I was peeved that I stuck to my appointment and they were unable to fulfill my request.BUT! When I finally did get in with a technician the next day, they listened very intently to my situation and they worked very hard to resolve it. They presented excellent recommendations and cheap solutions. What more could you ask for? They did their best and it turned out great for everybody.Thank you Simply Mac!
Stood in line for 15 minutes, once it’s my turn I’m asked if I have an appointment. (I did not). I’m told to sit in the corner and someone will help me. 2 different people walk in after me and get help (neither had an appointment). Waited another 15 minutes. Enough time to schedule an appointment at Best Buy for a repair. This place sucks and doesn’t treat customers well
NOT SO SIMPLEMy experience with this scam started out complicated. I had an appointment for repair set up by Apple Support. I disregarded the reviews, as theyre certified by Apple. The only thing these guys are certified for is incompetence. It took me 2 visits just to drop off my phone. I was told my phone wasnt under warranty and that it would cost $80 to repair. Adamant that I was covered, I went home to find my warranty info. I called in and they apologetically asked me to come back. After 45 minutes and the threat of a $30 diagnostic fee, they took my phone and said they would elevate the case with Apple, in order to send it in for repair. They gave me a 1-2 week time frame, with 2-3 of those days for the actual shipment to an Apple Depot.Fast forward one week. The repair status page online has not been updated at all since I took it in. Worried, I called Apple Support to see if the repair had been completed.A ticket had not been made with Apple. Simply Mac and their cronies had lied to me.I called Simply Mac and was told that the phone had already been sent in and couldnt be repaired, and that I would have to pay for a replacement as it wasnt under warranty. I asked them to have my phone ready for me and went in to pick it up. It had sat in the back room for a week. Unapologetic and apathetic, they nonchalantly gave my poor phone back to me.Please dont make the same mistake I did. Just make the trek to the real Apple Store. Youll avoid the headache of meeting these charlatans.
I went in expecting to have wait a few days but they did same day repair on my screen. Very nice
I dont understand some of the other reviews claiming that they dont honor AppleCare warranties. Ive come in on my warranty at least three separate times, and theyve fixed every issue perfectly without ever charging me.
If i could rate them lower i would. DONT TAKE ANY APPLE PRODUCTS HERE YOU OWN HERE OR THEY WILL BREAK IT!!!!I took my daughters computer there because we thought she dropped it and the lid was not closing all the way. When I arrived the lady said it was the battery expanding they can get it from Apple for my vintage model. When the tech called that was not the case no battery track pad will not work after they checked it. Went to pick it up and they trashed my system. Please people read the reviews they are accurate they stink at this store and I would rather drive to Bad Apple in Orem to get service. The people in this store stink at their job!!!
Took a macbook in and they didnt even look at it made me wait 20 minutes to go to the back, just to tell me i have to get a new one and tried to sell to me. Even though my problem was fixable
Mohammad was really nice to me. Great help and service.
Easy to work with and reasonable people. Have loved working with SimplyMac and would recommend coming in. I frequently have Macs that need repairs and theyre my go to store. Easier than the genius bar.
My (ancient) phone kicked the bucket out of the blue and I was pretty desperate. I came in practically in tears trying to get a new phone and these guys were spectacular! They swooped in like a platoon of fairy godmothers and made sure I understood what was happening every step of the way. They never made me feel stupid for asking a billion questions and I left the store in a much better mood than when I arrived there. I cannot say enough about these guys!
My phone quit working and I had traveled quite a distance so Muhammad and Angel didnt quit until my phone was back running! They are the best!!
Great customer service. Thank you for my new Apple Watch.
Worst place to go. Don’t know what they are doing and try to charge you an arm and leg for something that takes 2 minutes. Apple does almost everything they do but for free.
Fast and easy. Love apple products.
Amazing customer service and great employees! Mario was a huge help with my MacBook Air that wigged out after a software update. He was patient with my lack of tech knowledge and even answered unrelated questions to my current issue that will help me in the long run. Very grateful for their service!
The clerk was very talkative and personable. Took care of my problem very quickly. Even though the store was busy he was able to keep all customers engaged. I will be back.
Service was quick and now my iphone will charge!
We knew what we wanted and It took only about 30 minutes after entering the store and walking out with our purchase. Very helpful and friendly staff that answered all of our questions. However, prices are more than other products on the market for comparable products.
STAY AWAY!!! I needed a battery in my 2017 MacBook Pro so I called and got a quote for $450. It seemed expensive but I needed it and work was paying so I scheduled an appointment and went in. I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled time and was told it was $320 for the repair (yay!). My speakers are also blown out so I inquired about the cost of that repair. I was told $700!!! I politely declined and left with my machine so I could back up the data. They never told me on the phone that they would have to wipe it and I wasn’t prepared for that.Out of curiosity I called the Apple store and got a quote for $199 and it INCLUDED the speakers. Apparently it is all one assembly that they replace together. The Apple technician also informed me that Simply Mac ships to the same service center for repairs and their pricing is the same. All that extra was just greedy margin. Never will I do business with Simply Mac again.
Fantastic, fast help at a great rate.
I came in for a diagnostic. They were very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. The agent even printed the diagnostic twice for me, and went back to review everything with me before I left! I had a great experience. I really appreciate simply Mac.
In this pandemic world Simply Mac was the only place I could go to with my Apple care coverage. When I went into the store I took 20 minutes for someone to even come talk to me. And then truly, another 40 to get set up and the paperwork done and all that nonsense. I needed a simple repair of the cover of my MacBook they said it would take 2 weeks because they have to have the part shipped to them. It took over a month to get it back. Every time I called to get an update and ask when I could pick it up the phone rang for about 10 minutes then defaulted to a voicemail. I left a voicemail twice and they never called back. Eventually, I called enough they picked up and said it would be ready today, that they would call when it was finished. They never did call. This happened 2 more times!! Eventually one day (and it was over a month since I dropped off my Mac) they said 30 minutes which I held them to because I showed up in person and waited for them to bring out my computer. About 20 minutes. So avoid this place at all costs! If you have to use them like I did because Apple stores are closed, plan on taking a good break from your device and everything taking twice as long as they say and it should be!
Not normally one to post online reviews but the dude here saved me 2 weeks worth of work I had done on a lawsuit categorizing emails, and contracts and subordination agreements over a 3 year period. After finishing it and trying to send to attorneys it vanished and was nowhere to be found. My autosave wasnt working and all hope was lost. This guy did some magic and retrieved and kept me from the depths of depression. Admittedly Im not very tech savvy but good to know that someone is and can help me when I flub. Then he gave me a discount cause he didnt feel good about the price for the time it took him, bang up guy!
Had to stand in line for an hour just to be told I couldnt check it in and would have to make an appointment to check it in where I had to wait another hour to do it😒, so only 2 stars here for customer service. But there technical know seems to the best. When I picked it up they were right on top of things.
My wife’s iPhone was locked and disabled for the last 3 days of our honeymoon. She was very emotional because she had some special voice memos from our wedding that likely couldn’t be recovered. We went to Simply Mac in Orem to see if there was anything could do. Kevin helped us out. His kindness and optimism soothed her emotions. Ultimately, he had to wipe the phone, but the customer service and understanding he demonstrated during the process really left us feeling very positive about our experience. Kevin is awesome! Thank you!
We went in because my iPhone screen hasn’t been working and responding to touch on the right side. They did some diagnostics and found it was the display. They looked on Apples website and found that the problem had been acknowledged by Apple and that they could replace it for free. We sat for about an hour, waiting for them to finish everything and they even printed the paperwork for us to sign, but then the head manager came over and did some more research and told us that actually, they couldn’t do it for free, and it would actually cost more than the value of the phone. We sat for an hour and a half, just for them to change their mind on us and tell us it would cost us over $300. Very unprofessional behavior, and we are very disappointed. Only go here if you’d like to sit for 2 hours for them to just tell you that it will cost hundreds more than they told you initially.
Really good customer service!! Helped me out alot!
Ive been to this location a few times and theyve always been terrible. Nobody to help, customer service is terrible and so forth. You can tell they dont care as these negative reviews go back for years and nothing has changed. On top of that, its a copy and paste reply back to the negative reviews. They could care less if you are happy here. They just want their money.
Your “appointment” means nothing. I waited for over an hour past my appointment. They made me wait outside in the cold, and then they let people who came later go in front of me! Then they said it would take 14+ business days to fix my keyboard (one key is broken). I understand that it takes a long time, but I would’ve loved to know that up-front. This place sucks.
Listen to all these one star reviewers. Brought a MacBook in for a battery replacement. They charged us almost $700 total and it took over a month. Virtually no communication with us about the status of the repair. We had to call in at least four times, and if we were even able to get through, all we were told was, “It’ll be a few more days.” I’d buy a new laptop next time rather than taking one here for repairs. Truly horrible service.
My 2017 Macbook Pro has been giving me issues all COVID SEASON. I live 150 miles from an Apple store. I just so happen to need to have a specialty MD appt. at the UoU. So I called and this Mac store is open for appointments for tech help. We were a tad late, because of the unpredictable long 2.5 hr drive. No one was in the store at first. I was expecting the worst. Angel went through my machine with me. Installed a malware app and scanned it. Showed me some tricks and settings, deleted a few things, and frightened out some stuff, explained things about warranties, recalls, and instead of dreading the worst, my Macbook Pro works perfectly. She just needed to be organized and some settings adjusted. I also was out of memory space with documents, not music not photos or videos, not applications. So I dont need a new computer or faster computer, I need more storage, Angel hooked me up with a 2TB hard drive. I can download everything to that and reboot her wiping out everything starting New like a new computer with everything attached that I need on the HD. He answered every question, was kind, professional, and could have really taken advantage of me, but was honest, patient and never got frustrated with me and my hard of hearing constant request to “repeat that please” “what” over and over. Im deaf in one ear and nearly 60.
Horrible service! I waited 6 months for them to “work” on my recovering my computer data. The worst part is they never communicated with me on anything. I had to call multiple times for them for them to tell me that my computer was shipped out somewhere only to find out that it had never actually left the store. Ultimately, they did nothing for me-they couldn’t recover my data and took $80.00 for “labor” I made the mistake of not trusting their low ratings. I would give them a 0/5. Literally anywhere is better than here
My dad went to Simply Mac and got there before they were open. The manager, Mohammed was in the parking lot and noticed my dad. He came and talked to him and asked what he needed help with. My dad said that he would come back once they were open, but Mohammed let him into the store early. Great service! Thank you very much.
Simply Mac does not honor Apple Care. They want you to pay even though you have Apple Care
Saved me from having to buy a new laptop. Thank you!
Evan and Mohammed both provided fast, superb service for my old Mac Pro
I brought in my AirPod pros for repair and they were able to fix them within 3 days for no cost because they were under warranty. But it’s an incredibly long wait to get any help here, even if you have an appointment. When I brought them in I waited in line for 40 min, and watched as they helped ppl ahead of me who did not have appointments. To pick up my AirPods, I had to come back 3 different times. The first two times, the line seemed to be over an hour. The third time, I waited 30 minutes just to PICK UP my AirPods. Nothing else. While the fix was great, time is valuable - but apparently not to Apple.
Simply Mac - just stopped by the store and intended to pay for a service call and Mohammed helped me so fast!
If you want timely service, DO NOT GO HERE. I had an appointment and waited an hour to be served. Then, I was told later that week that my Mac would be done with a screen repair on Saturday. Called Saturday morning and they told me it would be done that night and they would call. Walked in Monday night assuming it would be done by then. Employee told me Tuesday night. They do not communicate when there are delays. I’m never coming back!
If I could give negative star I would!!! Worst service I have ever had!!! Appointments mean absolutely nothing!!! I went in to get my watch fixed on January 7 waited an hour and 10 minutes then they told me I had to make an appointment to get it fixed they couldn’t help me so I make an appointment but the earliest that could get me in was January 11 I show up 15 minutes early to my appointment and still had to wait an hour and a half after my appointment time!!! Then they tell me it will be 3-5 business days to get my watch fixed. Today is January 22 they don’t even know where my watch is!! They made me pay up front so now I just have to wait!! They also said they would call, text, email every time there was an update: when they shipped it to apple, when apple got it, when it left Apple etc. I never received anything!! I had to call and all they could tell me was I think it’s still at Apple or we don’t know cause it isn’t updated in our system!!!!
I explained to the initial guy my intentions to give my IPhone 8 Plus phone to my niece who was moving on Sunday out of state (10/25)It was 10/22 when I came in.After being there for almost 2 hours....A simple screen screen repair would allow her to take it with her. He was adamant“Sorry, Apple is adamant we can only do a device replacement!” I asked him to ask for help. He refused! Only option... pay $99 and wait 3-5 daysNow almost 3 weeks later, “Apple is adamantwe can only do a screen repair”The guy had the screen right in front of him!!!!It would’ve been done that day! 10/23 or latest10/24!!!!Right now almost 3 weeks later, still no phoneMultiple lies, conflicting messages anddisappointment I can only pray I get my phone back untarnished, this year!I purchased a new phone for myself10/26...received it 10/31!If I hadn’t I’d still be without service today! Not one person has apologized!
I destroyed my left AirPods pro. I would normally go to an official Apple Store by I live in Orem and didnt have time to go to the nearest Apple store. I use my AirPods daily for work. The people at Simply Mac helped me and they took care of my well. They called my properly as soon as the AirPod arrived and I felt their service was great Thanks!
Nothing simple of this Simply•mac store or their policy. When theres nother outlets out there providing the same service for apple products why do people still come to this place. I know Im done with them, they denied my screen protector replacement because I didnt have the other one for them to sent back. Had the person who sold me the screen replacement said that they needed it when he sold it to be I would of saved it when I had my screen replaced. But he didnt and now seem like they didnt even care to fix the issue. Its not about the money as my company is paying for it but its about them educating the customer about the warranty. Its the same thing...sales sales sales..and the more they dont tell you the more they screw you when it comes to doing a actual warranty with them. Their reviews are horrible. Avoid them.
Mohammad helped to get the right lap top that need for my dj thank you so much great service
We had an appointment at 11:20 and haven’t been seen still and it’s been 40 minutes. There was someone who has an appointment after us and was helped before and some guy was just restocking instead of helping us. Super annoying. What’s the point of having an appointment if you don’t get seen anywhere close to that time.
The service technician went above and beyond in resolving our issues with both our iPads and iPhones. He won our respect and our business in the future.
If you can avoid coming here, you definitely should. It’s hard that the location being in Orem is tempting to avoid driving to the Apple store in Murray, but in the end it would be worth it. I brought my phone in to get the screen replaced. I knew it would be expensive because it didn’t have apple care, but I did not expect this. They turned me away at my original appointment because they didn’t have the part in stock. The part was supposed to be in next day, but they didn’t call me for 3. Once I dropped my phone off, they told me it would only take 2 hours. I returned 4 hours later, and waited in line for 40 minutes. They came back saying the tech had “just started” on it and it wouldn’t be ready until the end of the next day. I called half way through the next day and they told me there may be complications that they already tested for at the original appointment and that it would take a few more hours. When I came for the last time, they were continuing to run tests, and had me wait another 30 minutes in a crowded lobby. My total came to over $60 more than they quoted me. The service manager that came out to talk to me dismissed everything I was saying and had a very matter-of-fact attitude, acting like I was stupid. I never write bad reviews, but I couldn’t help it when this was such a terrible experience from start to finish. Just don’t come here if you’re looking for quality customer service or competent employees.
Courteous and helpful staff. Sorted out of repair without a hitch and were very flexible with us.
The only reason I am not giving them 1 star is because so far, my Macbook does appear to be functioning okay.However. The service I received at this location was honestly horrible. I brought in my 2015 Macbook back in December, with a swollen battery that needed to be replaced. I had bought it used, so I wasnt sure of the original purchase date and therefore didnt even bring up a warranty or anything of the sort - I fully intended to just find out the cost (I expected around $250) and drop it off.The person who helped me noticed the year of my computer and the swollen battery and checked to see if I was eligible to have my battery replaced at no cost due to a recall with my specific model. He told me I was covered under warranty/was otherwise eligible for getting this repaired at no cost. I was very pleasantly surprised. He typed up the paperwork, I signed, and he told me it would be about two weeks.Over three weeks later I received a voicemail telling me my computer was NOT actually covered under warranty, and the cost for repair would be over $400.I promptly called back to get clarification and no one answered.I called a few days later. Again, no answer. Finally, another week had gone by and I managed to get ahold of someone. I asked for an explanation, and was not given any clear answers, just a lot of Im not sure why they told you it was covered, but it wasnt. Youre outside of the 3 year warranty and you dont qualify for the swollen battery blah blah... but no explanation as to how someone who works there could make a mistake like that when I hadnt even asked about a warranty in the first place.I told them to go through with the repair, as I need my computer. And I scrambled to come up with $400... today I went to pick up my computer and I waited forever in the store before I was assisted.Ive still yet to receive an explanation, apology or anything of the sort for what was a huge mistake and just plain horrible customer service in my opinion. I will not ever use this establishment again, certainly not this location.. and honestly Ive kind of lost my faith in Apple products and their policies in general.
Knowledgeable, pleasant employees. They found many ways Apple will cover repairs for free that I was not aware of. Wait time can get long.
Scheduled an appointment to get my battery replaced. When I arrived, they said they would have to order a battery in. Why wouldn’t they order the battery in before my appointment? Then, they finally get the batter in so I take my phone in and they say they’ll have it done by the end of the day. End of the day arrives and there’s no call to say they’re done. So I callThem. No answer. I leave a message. No call back. Finally, two days later (any many Unanswered and unreturned phone calls later) I just go to the store and have to wait there until they actually fix my phone so I can have it back. Horrible customer service. Go somewhere else.
I would give 0 stars if I could. When you need to schedule an appointment to go into this store, DO NOT CALL THE STORE. They WILL NOT be willing to make the appointment/ reservation for you over the phone. David, whom I got in contact FINALLY in the store after leaving 2 urgent voice-mails yesterday, and after their site wasnt working, did not want my business. Unfortunately, as this is the closest Mac repair shop in Utah County, we will be going in to upgrade our ram. I urge you to stay away from this location and make the drive up into salt lake county for better customer service.Update: 12/7Instead of going to this dreadful place, go to Expercom in Sandy! Way more professional, and quick repairs! Much better experience there!
I was quoted one price over the phone to repair my MacBook Pro screen and then they did not honor the quote when I arrived. The estimate went from $650 to over $1100. Not cool.
I had to get my keyboard fixed on myMacBook Pro recently and when they took 30 minutes longer than planned I was kind of snappy with Paul the general manager. He was very kind in response and handled it as well as anyone could. I took the computer home and the WiFi wasn’t working so I walked back in the next day and Paul saw me and said hey Travis how can I help you (with a smile) and within 2 minutes had my WiFi back up. No company is perfect so I don’t mind people or companies making a mistake. what I care about is how they correct the mistakes and Paul handled me and the situation even with my frustrations perfectly.
If I could give zero stars I would be tempted to. I have been trying to get my phones screen fixed for over two months now. I have made multiple appointments only to get turned away for one reason or another. The staff seem nice, but completely overwhelmed with the amount of people coming in for appointments. I wish I would have just gone somewhere else to start with.
Great service. provided service as promised
Terrible. Don’t ever go there. No one answers the phone. They had my computer for 2 months and never fixed it. Charged me $500 and it still didn’t work. Then didn’t answer the phone. Again. So mad I ever went there.
Had to wait an hour despite having an appointment and they had to order a part. No one at the store answered a phone in the 90 minutes I was there, the employees seemed harried and overworked. I was assured the part to fix my phone would be in in 3-5 days and I would receive a call when it was. It has now been 2 weeks, I have not heard from them. No one will answer the phone when I call the store. Id drive to the Apple Store in Murray, but they are closed due to COVID. Meanwhile, the warranty on my phone expires in two weeks and I will likely have to pay to have it repaired, despite beginning this attempt to get it fixed several weeks ago. Apple, if this is your approved service provider you need to do some research on how well they actually help your customers.
The greatest provider of the worst customer service in North America. Thank you so much Simply Terrible Customer Service Mac in Park City, for letting me drive over an hour to get my phone serviced at your store with an appointment for you to tell me upon arrival that you cant do it today. Call me before, yeah Im disappointed. To have the guy in the store unapologetically tell me after driving over an hour to get there....never coming back.
I drove down from SLC because this was one of the few Apple stores with open appointments. When I arrived I found a long line of walk-in customers waiting to be helped. Instead of honoring my appointment I had to wait behind all customers. I stuck it out because my phone wasn’t working and I had no other options. Simply frustrating, why even take appointments.
These people dont seem to be capable of handling simple tasks, they are severely understaffed at any given moment and each of the three times Ive had to go in the past year I have had to wait over an hour beyond my scheduled appointment time. They told me I would have my laptop back within 2 weeks and no later and its now been 3 weeks and they will not return my voicemails and calling the store means nothing because they wont even pick up the phone anyway.
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Horrible, awful, service. Every visit was at least an hour long, only to be turned away twice. I finally was able to get my phone serviced (a crack screen is all I needed to be replaced) and it was such a hassle. They told me I had to send in my phone to apple. when I called Apple they told me that is not true, that it is because the store doesnt want to do it or they dont have the equipment. I had called the day my phone arrived back at their store to see if it had come in. They said it didnt. 2 days later I called to check in again because it should have been there and they said it came in 2 days ago (when I called). They said they called and left a voicemail which I did not receive either of those. They didnt think to call me the next day? I was with out a phone for over a week. I cannot run my business with out a phone. I have not been more dissatisfied with a company in my life.
I had a great experience there with my mom! Our sales rep was Mario and he was super helpful and friendly!!
I spilled water on my laptop and took it here to get some files off of the computer. The employee told me it would cost $500 for him to even look at the computer, and even then, he most likely wouldnt be able to do anything about it and suggested I just leave and forget about the files. I took the computer to Expercom and they said the damage was minor, fixed the computer, AND made sure I got the files from the computer for $50. Take your business to Expercom where the employees help instead of turn you away and charge literally a tenth of the price.
TL;DR: nearly 2 hour wait for scheduled appointment & now it has been 2 weeks since the repair was submitted and I have not been able to communicate with them by phone or email.I arrived for my scheduled appointment and after standing at the desk for about ten minutes somebody finally told me Id be helped shortly. While I waited and other customers came in for their appointments they were told itd just be a minute even when I had already been waiting an hour and they were looking at something like a 2 hour wait. They also kept serving people out of order and we had to remind them that it was so and sos turn since their appointment was earliest. Then, if that isnt bad enough, it has now been two weeks (10 business days) since I submitted a repair. The online status was last updated when I submitted the repair, so either they dont use that or they havent even started the repair yet. Ive tried calling--no answer. Ive left a voice mail--no answer. I tried emailing--no answer.
Moe and Ethan are great
Terrible service. We had to wait awhile for a tech to look at our phone which was having software issues. Apple customer care had set up an appointment for us to go see them and when we showed up we still had to wait to see a tech. Eventually, the greeter/non tech came over to us, asked a few very vague questions then said they cant do anything and the phone just has to be replaced. Frustrated we went home and called Apple who then had us do a supposedly well known fix through iTunes. I think the store employees just wanted to hurry and get us out of the store because the line was long and they didnt want to take the time to actually help.
During this Covid time I understand the need for safety. However, they are limiting 5 people at a time. Two come out so you assume 2 can go in. You head in and they yell at you to get out. People walk in in front of you and that tends to upset people. Come to find out they have an appointment and now the 5 people rule goes out the door. Also, standing outside you don’t know whether to go in or if they are going to come and get you. Absolutely no instructions. So you either wait and miss an opportunity or you walk in and get yelled at by a store worker. Currently 9 people outside, 3 have walked out.... and absolutely nothing. WHAT A JOKE!! Don’t waste your time, go to SLC to a real Mac store where they are friendly and don’t seem put out and poised off!!!!!!
I have to be honest, the reviews had me pretty freaked out, but they werent too bad! It took them an extra day to get me my phone, and I wish they would have reached out to let me know about this delay, but my phone is fixed and they did it all at no cost because they were able to use my Apple warranty.
Last time I went I was told they were to booked to get my screen fixed. I have Apple care and I checked before the appointment that I have made to get it fixed . I was helped after a while of waiting and was told it would take a whole day to fix my screen. Meaning I wouldn’t have my phone for the rest of the day. Then after whatever he was doing moving things on my setting and logging to me out of find my iPhone which I don’t even know why. I was told I didn’t have Apple Care even tho on my phone it says I do. He even checked before taking me to where he said okay good you have Apple care. After doing things on his computer he said I didn’t have Apple care and it would be $200 + tax. Just to get my screen fixed. He even said just get a new phone honestly cause I’ll just be better. With Apple care it’s only $30 and I just checked their website and it says that for an i phone 8 plus it says I’ll only around $149.99
Simply mac did an excellent job answering questions, helping us pick accessories that fit our needs and got us out asap.
I dropped off my iMac for repair on 11/16/2020 after spending some time with Apple on the phone. The person that checked my computer in said they would reach out within a business week with a diagnosis and estimate for repairs. After about 10 days I tried several times to contact support via the phone only to be hung up on, or placed on eternal hold or asked to leave a message. I stopped in on December 1 and when they went back to check on the status I was told that the computer had not been looked at but they would right away and would get back with me that day. Never heard back.... I returned a few days later and got the same speech. I decided to take my computer back as clearly it had not been looked at. I don’t know how SimplyMac can run an operation as poorly as this. I felt like all I got was lip service every time I stopped in. I have made several purchases there in the past but will never return. I will be letting Apple know of the poor service I was provided as well as anyone who brings up SimplyMac. I understand that you may be a bit overwhelmed since the Apple stores are not open but why does a company take in extra work when they know they can’t get it done in a timely fashion? I would give no stars if the system would let me.
We got helped and they knew that the iPhone needed to be sent to Apple to get fixed/replaced. Our backup was still in progress and they took it to the back to let it finish later that night and then theyd box it up and ship it. That was very helpful. It came back 1.5 weeks later, just as they told us and all is well. Thanks Simply Mac - the store thats open when nobody else is!
Great customer service
Great quality service
I dropped my iMac off three weeks ago to be fixed (completely wiped and a new os put on). They told me it would take two weeks. Didnt receive a word from them at two weeks, so at two weeks plus three days, I called and left a message. No call back. I called on Wednesday, and they said it would be ready Thursday. Went to the store on Thursday, they said it would be ready Friday. Called eight times, but no response, so i Went to the store on Friday, they said it would be ready Saturday. Called and finally got a response today (Saturday) that it was ready, so I went in and picked it up. They were nice while talking to me, but calling with no responses and having to wait in store three times at least thirty minutes each time, I can solidly say that I dont recommend this store.
Scheduled an appointment per Apples customer support. My macbook pro just 3 months old had stopped powering on. They ran a diagnostic test and then told me the test came back showing no problem even though there was clearly a problem, it would not boot up!! They told me there was nothing they could do since Apple wouldnt authorize a repair if the test came back normal. They tried to sell me a $100 service to reinstall macOS to see if that would help. I left and contacted apple again who walked me through the reinstall for free. Apple also told me that the diagnostic report is only one they they do and they always do everything they can to fix it. 2 hours of my saturday wasted and a week of waiting for an appointment. would never go to these guys again
While not the fastest work Ive seen, and probably due to covid, the work was well done and everyone was very polite and professional.
Absolutely incompetent. I brought my Mac in for a RAM upgrade. They had to add two RAM cards and said it would be 3-4 days. Now 6 weeks later, they still arent finished. I have to call every few days, and it is the same story every time. We ordered the RAM. It should be coming. We dont have a tracking number. They will not call me to apprise me of updates and the end date is just floating. Six weeks without my home computer. I had the same thing done to an identical Mac at a shop in CA. It took 3 days. They should not be an Apple-verified provider. Calling Apple to report.
I was not really wanting to come here because of all the bad reviews they have but the apple store is still closed and it was the next closest option. My expectation coming here was that I was going to have a bad experience, which I did. I scheduled an appointment through apple for 3:00. I got there just before 3:00 and got checked in. They told my to wait at this desk. I didn’t hear from anyone for 30 minutes. Meanwhile walk-in’s were showing up after I had been there for 25 minutes and they were getting helped before me 3 people that showed up after me had been helped before I was helped. After the 4th person was about to be helped before me, I stepped in and told them I had an appointment and have been waiting for 30 minutes. Whoever manages this place really needs to look at their check-in and scheduling process and managing walk-in’s. I was finally helped but I would not recommend giving this place your business if you can help it.
I should have read the reviews before coming here. The first gentleman I worked with seemed apathetic or neutral at best. However, that is not my biggest complaint. My biggest complaint, is the wait. I’ve had to come to the store three times now to get simple answers to my repair. Every time I come, there is a line and a minimum wait of 20-40 minutes. I believe their biggest problem is the lack of organization in moving people through the process of a repair. Even people trying to make purchases on new merchandise have to wait in a line this long. The last time I went in, I had to walk out after 20 minutes and will still have to return just to deliver an external hard drive for them to clone my old laptop. I was about to just write my name on a sticky note put it on the hard drive and set it on the counter! Now I have to make another trip to deliver that and set aside at least an hour and a half to make sure I can get it done. I don’t have time to waste at this store again.
Same day screen repair but only if your the first person to come into the store. I came in multiple days in a row to get my phone fixed, every time they told me that it would take at least until tomorrow, and to come in earlier so that it wont take so long. I come in the next day and am quoted for two days until they decide to simply replace the screen on my phone. So I waited multiple days to go in, just to be told my wait time had only increased. Customer service here is bad, they dont really care about or consider their customers, they falsely advertise, and their prices are high. If you have no other choices, then thats when I would suggest coming to this place.
Mohammad was most helpful with a very frustrating problem. Helped me greatly!!!
Im just an iPad guy, so take that into account. In the past, theyve had the covers and basic things I need. Like others, Ive been frustrated with the COVID experience. Waiting to get an appointment to come back and wait for the the appointment frustrates. An appointment doesnt get you in front of anyone in the line without an appointment. They have no problem with anti maskers. The three people in 2 groups in front of me had no masks. My iPad has been sent out. I have Apple Care +. Well see how it plays out. So far, so good.
