I moved out at the end of July and still have not received my deposit and unused rent back nor have I received an itemized list of deductions despite having called and asked about it. At this point, Im going to serve a Tenants Notice to Provide Deposit Disposition but its incredibly unprofessional that I have to. Not all college students know the legal process for getting a deposit back from an uncooperative property owner so it feels like theyre taking advantage of the fact that their tenants are young adults who may not know their way around tenants rights. If you choose to live here, be prepared to take legal action to get your deposit back.
I have only great things to say about the property itself. The rooms are amazing and a great place to make friends. Ive only had a negative experience with management, specifically Callie. Every-time Im in the office she makes me and and other tenants feel like an inconvenience. Shes extremely rude and I wish I could say Im surprised Redstone hasnt fired her yet, but Redstone is the worst leasing company Ive ever been in contact with. As for some of the 5 star reviews the majority comes from leasing agents working there.
Ive been living here at the green since the beginning of April. I have finally been compelled to write a review to commemorate everyone in my apartment officially having their vehicle booted. Be aware that you will be booted on your first night moving in if you do not put your parking sticker on. As ungrateful as it may sound none of my roommates have enjoyed waking up to the greens welcoming gift of a 75$ non-negotiable parking ticket. As of the new semester The Green has also changed their opinion on where motorcyclists can park. Throughout the summer semester motorcyclists have been able to park in the Striped parking zones besides the designated parking stalls. The Green holds the stance that this has never been allowed and that I somehow never get caught before. This is clearly nonsense as the parking enforcers have walked past my bike and others with no issues up until this point. I believe it would be easy for The Green to give a warning to first offenders or have at least some level of leniency with their residents.
This place has a lot of potential but I think it opened a bit too early. 1st day of living here our oven wasnt working. I was told to flip a certain switch on the breaker and the power in our apartment was out for 16 hours and no one seemed keen to help us. Appliances dont work sometimes and still trying to get used to it but like I said it has the potential to be a great living place. Super close to uvu and great neighbors.
If you never have an issue arise that the office needs to resolve, youll probably have a great time here. If you do ever require their help, however, GOOD LUCK. Theyre either severely understaffed, or need to just hire a whole new set of office workers. Probably both, because everyone Ive talked to was very short with me, very confusing/vague in their communication, and honestly just unhelpful. Its funny, because when I was an applicant with questions and concerns they were SO helpful!!
This place is perfect if you like weed and parties. However, if you’re a college student who needs to sleep and study, I would look anywhere else. Stay away from UVU student housing if you need quiet time, because you won’t get it. This place had students blasting music well past midnight, despite quiet hours in the contract and the rules were never enforced. They only offered to move me to another loud apartment after I paid $200. I had to stay in a hotel half of the week just to sleep and do homework.
I have lived here a week and already made so many amazing friends! If you want to live in a social complex the green is the place! The staff is the best, everything is new and clean, and the amenities are epic!!
The apartment complex is nice and new, it is a little bit expensive but I can live with that because it is very close to the UVU, but I could not stand is the staff and management is absolutely rude and they will not help you, and there now management Behavior and, also the new policy about the parking, it would be easy for The Green to give a warning to first offenders or have at least some level of leniency with their residents. Hence, if you were to consider living at the green, I would suggest avoiding it, since the staff and management will make your life difficult.
This apartment complex is an absolute joke. The buildings are new and nice, but the staff and management is an absolute mess. I considered moving here for 2021-2022 but turned away very quickly after seeing how they’ve treated my friend who lives here multiple times. They are completely unprofessional and don’t handle their problems, instead tell you one thing, when it’s completely another. Definitely recommend taking your money somewhere else so you don’t have to deal with such poor management and pay so much in rent.
So hard to get help with anything, most of the time would not reply to my texts or calls. The place is nice but the service 👎🏽
This complex is a joke. I had roommates breaking UVU Code of Conduct, which is part of The Green’s lease, for weeks. I was told over and over that the leasing office would speak with them. No one ever did. The small 4x2 rooms are miserably cramped and the furniture doesn’t align with the layout well. Even though we all signed a lease to follow quiet hours, I could hear people partying two floors above me at midnight. I was told that The Green doesn’t handle noise complaints and to call the police instead. There were multiple times where my roommates put my health in danger the only “help” I got was an offer to move to a more expensive floor plan. It’s already beyond inflated for what you’re getting. I literally had to evacuate one weekend to avoid my roommates’ dangerous behavior. Even though they failed to hold up their end of the lease, The Green refused to let me out of my contract until I sold it after weeks of sitting empty. The amenities hadn’t even opened by the time I left, but I’m not missing much—one tiny pool less than 5 feet deep for almost $600 a month after all fees isnt exactly a glowing selling point. If it was $100 a month cheaper and under better management, I’d reconsider, but that’ll change when pigs fly. If you value your health, your safety, and your money, avoid this place at all costs.
This place has great potential but its sad to see it go downhill so quickly. My appliances are constantly breaking, and nothing is taken care of because instead using our money to maintain the place like general janitorial services in the hall my moneys going towards activities. In the picture I attached theres dog poop smeared across the stairs and left for days along with the layers of other types of filth thats built up.
The events are pretty well planned out and I feel like there’s always something going on. For the most part the staff is always kind and ready to help. I enjoy the living environment overall :)
Really horrible place to live if you’re looking to actually sleep through the night. You can hear EVERYTHING that is going on outside.
It’s been amazing living here. They have such fun events and always giveaway free food and prizes! I would totally recommend living here. Emma runs the events and she makes everyone feel welcome.
The green does not care about anyone if they don’t like something like playing volleyball at night they will make new rules so that can’t happen wifi also goes out every month currently we don’t have wifi in our room. Also when we first moved in our washer flooded because they didn’t install my washer they just put it in the room
The set up is really nice, Erin gave me a tour, she was really welcoming and made me feel comfortable and covered all my questions without being overwhelming :)
Emma is the best person ever her events make me so happy I look forward to them every month. I highly recommend living at the green great place!
Love this place! Great people and great maintenance. Friendliest people!
Don’t park in the visitor parking if you are visiting. You will get a boot put on your tire and it’s $75 to get it removed.
Shoutout to emma for the free jersey mikes. The green is a party every day for sure. First week here and i love it. Roomates are mad chill, everybody’s super nice and outgoing, the biggest pluses for me have to be the less than 5 min walk to campus and the hot tub 🎉 Come live here for a good time!
The Green has a gross history of mishandling the struggles of college students at UVU. Through an enlarged rent due to additional charges for amenities that weren’t available for months on the end, and a hot water issue that has been going on for nearly a month with very little communication as to when/if it will be repaired. They are increasing our rent while neglecting our concerns, including those about disruptions in the halls at 3 AM, via running, yelling and screaming on a regular basis. Very seriously consider your options before picking The Green on Campus Drive.
Out of all the minor inconveniences about the green the worst has got to be the water temperature. After many complaints the green finally said they raised the temperature on the water heater, but the last few days there has been NO hot water in the showers, bathrooms sinks or kitchen sinks. We tried numerous ways to get in contact with someone who could possibly do something about this and even through the 24/7 emergency line no one answered or got back to us. For such high rent prices I expected more out of the green. :(
This apartment complex is the best! I had to move back to Utah last minute and the management team was so helpful with me. They answered all of my questions (I had a lot!) and they responded super fast so I wasn’t waiting super long. Everyone is super friendly and accepting of everyone that is coming to this apartment, definitely feels like home.
Flush power of the latrine is quite low. If you’re a guy or gal that frequently drops torpedoes with much excess loo paper then you may find yourself having to flush multiple times to complete the task.If this applies to you then you may want to look for housing elsewhere than the green.
Love living here and Emmas events are always a blast to go to.
Decent new place, very lacking on services, package delivery is a pain, rarely do I get things on time because staff fail to report package at office or use the Amazon hub for pickup, I still have damages from initial construction in my room that I’ve reported multiple times that have yet to be fixed, if you’re a working individual you’ll most primly have to take time off work in order to get in the office, have had to have maintenance come and fix, on multiple occasions, amenities (washer, dryer, dishwasher, internet) because nothing was installed correctly, if there had been less problems I would have gladly given a much higher star rating
Not worth the rent. The wifi that is provided to the apartment is slow. About once a week I get kicked off for a few hours and unable to do homework. I dont get hot water when I shower. Whether its early in the morning or late at night. I enjoy having my own bathroom for personal reasons, but I am only staying here for one year before heading somewhere else. Wouldnt reccomend to a friend
Everything looks pretty nice so far because it is new. But even though there is an after 10 p.m. quiet time on the contract residents have to sign to live here, every night people are out playing loud music, playing games and yelling even after midnight. The apartments are set up with the volleyball court in the middle of the buildings, so balls are always hitting the windows and the yelling and music echoes throughout the apartment complex. We reported to the management OVER AND OVER AGAIN but...
There is no better place to live as a college student. It’s like one big happy family, there’s so much to do all the time and the office employees are so helpful and so kind. Everyone needs to live here!!
10-10 catch me here next year
I signed a lease with The Green recently and they already have exceeded my expectations. They made the process so easy and their customer service was amazing. I can’t wait to start living there!
Havent moved in yet but the staff has been so ready and willing to answer questions and help me with getting all signed up! They definatly have made it easier for me to get all signed up
I love already The Green! They have an amazing staff, they will seriously do anything to help you out!
Wow great free events and food
Emma puts the best events on
Its called The Green but they dont even have recycling bins. That doesnt sound very Green to me.
I have been here since August and so far it’s been really good besides the WiFi connection. The WiFi is extremely slow. I have some online classes and work on the computer a lot so it’s really frustrating to have to deal with that during class or while on an assignment. Other than that it’s been a good place to live, lots of friendly people and roommates and a ton of activities to do here.
