Two words: Too Easy. We had a very short timeline for a government/military job-relocation, so we decided to give Red Ladder a try. They appealed to us because of all the good reviews and because they were a local Omaha-area company.We contacted them via the website on an evening, and they contacted us the very next day. A couple of days later Brandon came to see the house. He was extremely transparent and he explained the process to us. Some of the appealing features were: no middle men or processes, no fee after fee for this and that, not having to leave the house for showings, having strangers go through your home during a pandemic, no inspection, no modifications or repairs, no cleanup, ability to leave artifacts behind, extreme flexibility on when to vacate the home.The same evening Brandon called us back with a very fair offer. We accepted it. We did most of the transactions with the title company online, except for one in-person meeting for about 20 minutes. On the closing date, we didn’t have to do anything. The same afternoon our old loan was paid off and the proceeds of the sale were wired to us. From the time we contacted them to when we left the house, it was roughly 3 weeks.We will miss Nebraska for sure, and it was great dealing with a local and honest company. Quality Foundation Repair has been working with Red Ladder for about 5 or 6 years, one thing I admire about Owen or Brandon is they want to the solve any issues with waterproofing or structural issues without cutting corners. Lets do it the correct way and be done with it. I work with a couple other house flippers and they want the very minimum work done, and about 50% of the time they want to cover up the issue, we at Quality Foundation dont bid on jobs that cover up any issues.My opinion is You can trust Owen and Brandon with buying a home that was remodeled or up-dated the correct way. Not great. Did a lot less than a homeowner would. Left a big mess, wouldn’t let us walk through until the day before sale as they “weren’t ready” despite having 5 weeks to prepare. Refused addendums that they agreed to. Kind of a cheap way out kind of company In my opinion. Overall a 3/10 is how I would rate this company. Eh but not even good or okay.
