Management does not allow staff to answer if they have been vaccinated or not. Used the excuse that it is too controversial, violates privacy and HIPAA, this is not true. No law says you can’t answer a vaccination question. Every other salon I called readily gave out vaccination status if asked. Even w Delta strain, Gloss will refuse to answer if you ask about vaccine status of your own stylist. I’m sad to say goodbye after going here for 20 + years. Masks help but not enough if the stylist is unvaccinated and in close proximity to you. Don’t be afraid to ask, keep yourself and family safe.

Don’t waste your money. These services were not nearly worth the money. 2 out of three massages were good. None of the facials/manicures or add one were worth the money it costs. This place is severely understaffed and after $1,000 was spent for three Mother’s Day gifts the response was “we don’t think you are a good fit for us”. Well, provide service worth the money and the fit will be much better.

Friendly, upbeat staff. They make sure you get in and out of the kayak without taking a dive. And being out on the water is quiet and peaceful. Definitely a spot Ill be visiting multiple times during the open season!

I had the best time! I felt so relaxed and comfortable! It was my first time getting a facial done there and everyone was very polite and I loved my facial even more because my best friend did it! Best Facial ever!

Katie is the hairstylist I have been going to for almost a year now. She is really great at listening to what you want and making it happen. It was super easy to book the appointment online with the stylist of my choosing. I appreciated the salons commitment to health and safety of every one with the mask requirement for every patron, the hand and phone sanitizing requirements. Halle made sure I was able to navigate the floor in my power wheelchair, transfer safely to get my hair washed (always the best part). The aromatherapy spritz of citrus while getting my hair washed was new for me and I liked it. It was simple for Halle to move her hair cutting chair and allow me to sit in my wheelchair while getting my haircut (I was able to sit to the sides and raise up the armrest for her to more easily cut). She made sure to cover the back part of my chair and headrest so that it didnt get little hairs all over which was much appreciated. My cut is cute and I would go back. 😀

I was a few minutes late and felt like it was an inconvenience to the masseuse. I rolled up at a few after 4:00. My massage was done by 4:45, and paid for one hour. Yes, I arrive at 4:05? However it was like I was 30 minutes late and never called and felt like the masseuse was in a hurry to get home. I got a right leg and upper back massage in 45 minutes. Very disappointing. She even told me she was up against the clock. I;ve had nothing but good experiences at Gloss but this one makes me want to never come back or at least not book with whoever it was, she is very forgettable. As I said, I walked in at 4:05 at the latest and when I got off the table and looked at my phone, it was 4:47. Thats a shame.

I originally had a 90 min massage scheduled but my masseuse ended up having an emergency and had to leave for the day. I instead had a 30 min massage and express facial. Through out my sessions, I had totally forgotten about my original appt. The ladies went nothing less than above and beyond to make my experience special for my birthday.This was only my 2nd time there, but best believe there will a 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc!

I had a shellac mani with Ally. She is very personable and easy to talk to, and does a fabulous job. Gloss is set up very well to handle Covid cleaning and social distancing. Highly recommend. Ps Ally also does hair!

Holly gave me the best facial I have EVER had. Ive been skincare obsessed & getting facials since I was 18, and I have extremely sensitive skin, so here is my honest review:LGBTQIA+ SAFE! As a queer person I felt 1000% safe and comfortable in this salon and with Holly. She took ample amount of time doing my consultation, and actually listened to my concerns about my sensitive skin, which usually I feel estheticians dont take me seriously about and I end up with rashes or products being used that burn. Not with Holly at Gloss, I did not have a single issue! Products were soothing, and my skin has never looked better. She gave great product recommendations and explained thoroughly how to use each. She also explained some skin irritations I had and what they were, and how to deal with them.Then there was the facial itself. HOLY RELAXATION. The shoulder/neck, arm/hand massage was AMAZING. The aromatherapy really helped me relax, and the bed was SO comfortable!!On top of all of this, the spas COVID policies are awesome! Temp check before your appt, and mask required until your facial starts. The spa room was separate from the hair salon so youre not around a ton of people, which is nice.Just do yourself a favor and book a facial with Holly. Your skin and your mental health (hello self-care and relaxation!) will thank you!!

I had gotten a perm from Katie. At first it looked amazing! Throughout the day it fell though. I know this sometimes happens before you washed it so I waited the 48 hours, washed and styled it and it looked good again. At first. Throughout the day it continued to fall so I did some searching and found that that that can happen when your hair is dry after a perm, so I got some hydrating shampoo and conditioner, and a mask for my hair to give it some more hydration. I waited a few weeks and it still was falling quickly after it dried. I went to see if I could get something to hydrate my hair better from Ulta and the stylist there recommended that I reach out to Katie to see if it could be fixed. I had this perm less than a month and it wasnt staying. I called her up and she said that theres nothing that could be done for me other than trim my hair as it looked curly when I left that day. She said she wouldnt re perm my hair for a few months either. I was very disappointed as I paid over $100 to get this done and my hair is flat and straight by the end of the day, with less than a month of having it. I had perms when I was younger that had stayed just fine so Im not sure why this one wouldnt have worked. It might work for some people out there but it didnt work for me.

I see Rebecca at Gloss and she is AMAZING!! Rebecca is so knowledgeable about the products and skin care routines. She answered any and all of my questions and never seemed annoyed. When I left my skin was GLOWING like it never had before. The skin room was very clean as well and Rebecca took all the proper precautions. I would recommend everyone see her for their skin needs!!

Make an appointment for a massage here RIGHT NOW! Kidding... but seriously, they were amazing. I called upon receiving a gift card, and was blown away to get in the very next day for an appointment. I have never experienced that kind of swift scheduling at a salon. I enjoyed the actual appointment immensely. The therapist was skilled and knowledgeable. She did some intense deep tissue massage and it left me feeling great for days. I liked the atmosphere and the staff. The pricing was a bit more that I usually pay, but I will definitely be back, especially if they offer any promos or coupons via text. Ill be watching. ;-)

The place was very clean. The atmosphere was inviting overall. I was pleased they explained extra services available (and what the upcharge would be) without pushing them. I had an amazing massage! Becca was very professional throughout. She gave extra attention to my shoulders and lower back (where I carry all my tension) upon request. I will definitely be back for a massage. I was less impressed with my manicure and pedicure and will not utilize those services again. They did have a few lights burned out above the pedicure station. That happens, and when I pointed them out assured me that they would be replaced. Its nice to see people take pride in their building. Everyone I encountered was polite and professional. I had no complaints about the staffs professionalism.

I just walked out of my first facial with Bailey. It was by far the best experience I’ve ever had for a facial! Her knowledge about products and the services I would need to get my best skin is exemplary. I left feeling relaxed and my skin looks amazing! The salon itself is very clean and welcoming. Plus, the natural product lines they carry work with my extremely sensitive skin....and I got them at a really great price!

If I could leave no stars I would. The staff was friendly and inviting. The facility was clean. I took my daughter here to get our makeup done for a girls day out. I told the make up artist that foundation didn’t work well with my skin and I was assured they had products that will work with my skin type. I wasn’t sure exactly what look I was wanting but I went with a Smokey eye. Needless to say by the time she was finished I wanted to cry. I had her remove all the face makeup because I looked like a 80 year old woman it was horrible. The girl said when I told her I wanted the face makeup off that she put the correct stuff on and I guess your face just doesn’t like foundation. I was so frustrated I just wanted to pay and leave. What was supposed to be a fun day with my daughter just broke my self confidence down even lower and I had to pay for it. Maybe other people will have a better experience than myself but for me it was a disaster and a complete disappointment.

Went to Gloss for the first time today for a lash lift and tint, and I was BLOWN AWAY. The salon is so clean and classy looking, the front desk people were friendly and helpful, and Kristen was fantastic with my lashes! She walked me through what she was doing, and kept the conversation flowing and light. Absolutley requesting her again!

After moving from another state and leaving the salon I was with for 8 years, I was worried that I will have difficulty finding a good stylist here. I was told to check out Gloss, stylist Beth B. To be honest, I actually am so much happier with her creativity, attitude, patience and understanding what would work best for me:) almost 6 years later, and I cant imagine going anywhere else. Great salon... clean...refreshing and kind people. The price is typical of the surrounding area. The salon is a bit noisier than other salons kind of like being at a restaurant. The spa side is just as fabulous as the hair side but much quieter. Great place for pampering.

I drive quite a distance to Gloss Salon and Ive never been disappointed. Every massage Ive had there has been worth the time and effort. The last two massages were by Crystal. She worked wonders for my neck, back, and shoulders as these are problem areas for me. All of the staff has been courteous and helpful on each visit. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends.

My daughter and I were booked for massages; it was my treat while visiting her in Omaha. My daughters experience was lovely, but mine was awful. The head/chin rest would not stay in place and finally broke right off 10 minutes into the massage. 20 minutes was spent trying to locate another chin rest that would not fit. No other beds available. I felt bad for the masseuse in that she would not be paid for her time so offered to lay face down without the headrest. I should have just gotten up and left because I was tense, the masseuse was tense and there was little time left to actually get a massage. The masseuse was apologetic but I was upset and reception was unsympathetic. I complained at the front desk and they grudgingly reduced my bill by $10 but the next day, my neck was sore and stiff and I felt cheated. I see a lot of positive comments for this Spa, and my daughter goes regularly for massages. I just feel I should have been fully compensated for what happened to me.

Micah is excellent. I drive all the way from Hastings to have her do my color and cut. I have received numerous compliments from many ladies. She also does one of the most relaxing pedicures. What a professional she is in the work that she does and what a nice easy going personality she has.

My hairstylist is very knowledgeable and up to speed on all the new styles and products. I loved my first massage so much that I now have monthly appointments. This is the best salon Ive ever been to, they incorporate massage into everything, making it so easy to relax. Scalp massage while youre getting your hair washed out, face massage when youre getting your eyebrows waxed, and today I tried the new bamboo fusion massage itself. It is incredible, highly recommend!

The place looks awesome but when I arrived the person at the front desk never greeted me, smiled, or anything. I just simply had to say Hi, I’m here for a manicure and pedicure appointment. When I was waiting for my gal to come get me I noticed that every person that walked in after me, she greeted them, asked them how they were, etc. Either she hates her job or maybe it’s because I’m not their typical customer that comes in. Even my husband said that when he came in she just looked at him and didn’t say a word and had a rude face on. I would think that if you are working front desk you are what sets the tone for the customer because you are the first to be seen and last to be seen. Wether you do much at the place or not you are still playing a very important role. Overall my gal who did the mani and pedi was awesome. The last thing I did not like us that the shellac pedicure did not last more than a week and a half. I have been other places and it’s lasted longer than two weeks. Mind you I don’t do much since I’m at home all the time because I am currently on maternity leave. Just hope the next time I decide to come here because I loved my gal, the front desk person will set a much more genuine tone.

I had a wonderful week of services at Gloss that included a much needed facial, haircut, and pedicure. Being 34 weeks pregnant, I was concerned about having a good experience, but the staff was friendly, professional, and more than accommodating. I was given the opportunity to relax and enjoy every moment I was there. Most importantly, the outcome was amazing!

I have been going to Gloss for several years now. I get my hair done every 4 weeks, and I often get a pedicure, a facial, or a massage. The salon has specials all the time, such as $15 pedicures or buy 1 get 1 on products, and they are so great about accommodating any last minute requests, such as brow/lip wax or pedicure, along with my normal hair service. Another thing I like about it is its close to my home.

I have an upcoming wedding and so I tried my first ever spray tan. I cant believe how nervous I was! But Bailey was awesome and I dont look orange! My tan looks natural and even! Thanks!

Had a hair emergency a few days ago (i made the mistake of bleaching my hair at home so as to lighten it but it of course ended up horribly yellow and too light) and needed to get it fixed ASAP .... called the next morning as soon as they opened and explained I had a little hair emergency ... they asked when i was able to come in and 40 minutes later I was there and they had someone ready to take care of me -- Stacy was great and took her time and really consulted to figure out the exact look I had attempted to go for and she outlined what she was going to do to get me back to the desired shade and definitely did just that! when i left my hair was in such great condition, it had never looked or felt so full and healthy and the color was so perfect (light ash brown) and I realize I should have just gone here first rather than attempt cheap drugstore dye first but we all make mistakes and learn. Bottom line great salon and very cozy atmosphere!

I had seen that Kyleigh was offering lash lifts for 10 dollars and I was excited to get it done because I’ve always wanted a lash lift to make my lashes longer and I should have known for that price I was paying I was not going to get a quality lash lift. I was promised longer lashes and my lashes don’t look any different!!! I will be going to someone who knows what they’re doing from now on and I will not be going to Gloss again!!!

Today I had the most amazing facial I have ever had in my life at anyplace. It was performed by Meg at Gloss Salon. It was not like put the mask on and walk out of the room for 20 minutes. It was working the mask into my skin with massage! Thank you so much for a wonderful start to Spring for my skin!

I have been coming to Gloss for several years now and I love it! Everyone is very professional and fun! I started using Rachel as my stylist this year and love her! She is fun, talks you through everything, and does a fantastic job!

I started coming here for pedicures last summer and just started up again now that the weather is almost time for sandals. Morgan was so friendly and professional and she did an excellent job! My feet will continue to come here to look pretty!

I go here for the luxury pedis. It is great when you need some pampering. I wish the prices were a little cheaper but the service is great.
