Please avoid this place, this place is simply terrible. Their service is always slow and for the times that I have went here they do not always tell the truth on when they will get things done by. I have called a few times to check up on my order and they will usually tell me they would have it completed in a few days but then I call a few days later and they still do not have it done. From my experience that usually means they will start looking at your equipment on that day they said they will have it done and if it requires them to order in a part, you will have to wait another two weeks on top of that. Because they do not have all parts for equipment in their store, I am not blaming them for not having certain things in stock but if they would have at least looked at it earlier and diagnosed the problem then they would have been able to order the part in earlier. The part also took another 3-4 weeks and they still did not have it, I called a few times and asked for a tracking number on the part but never gave me the tracking number and just talked around my question, for all I know they could have never ordered it and I would have never known. They continued just to tell me it will be in soon, and would never apologize or give me any other details on the order just the same excuse every time I called. So for me it took over a month before I gave up on waiting and just went in and picked it up and took it elsewhere. This place is incredibly slow compared to other small engine places in Omaha. I have brought in equipment in the past and their service has been sub-par in the past as well. I usually do not leave negative reviews and I really wanted to enjoy this place but I have been to other Small Engine Repair shops in Omaha that were simply a lot better, and always completed jobs in reasonable amount of time. Please save yourself a trip and go elsewhere!
Took a 5 year old Toro to Terrys for them to diagnose and fix. Had to take the mower back 4 different times over a 6 month period and the mower still did not run. Greg continued to tell me that they would get it fixed or I would get my money back ($90). You would think that they would try and fix the mower immediately when I had to continue to bring it back every time, but they wouldnt work on it for 2 weeks. Each time they would tell me that they cleaned out the carburetor or re-built it. They even tried to adjust the choke but the mower blew black smoke everywhere and died off. Finally I had enough and told Greg that I was going to take it somewhere else and I wanted my money back. I have been lied to numerous times about getting my money back. I would not recommend Terrys to my worst enemy. They obviously do not know what they are doing as Teds fixed my mower for good by adjusting the valves and replacing the carburetor- which they said had never been done. If you need a good mower repair company, call Teds.
Great service! Fantastic people.
I called this place and asked if they had free estimates and they said yes, so I dropped off my fathers (who passed away so this chainsaw has sentimental value) poulan pro chainsaw and they never called back so I gave them a call and it turns out they did work on it but the mechanic wasnt there to explain but when I used it it didnt work and when I took it back and told them they said they would work on it as soon as possible and a couple of months pass and I go to the place and turns out they closed and stole my fathers chainsaw
Took my near new Crafsman mower for what I thought would be warrantied service/repair. No call or follow up that the service required was not warrantied and was charged $104 to pick up my mower. Buyer BEWARE!!!!
Very friendly, reasonably priced repair shop. Would definately reccomd them.
Every time I call to ask a question they have taken the time to explain what my options are and what I need to make my equipment run better.
Not open! Not there!
Terrys is no longer at the listed address, now he is at 4529 S.90th Street. I have had Terry work on a Toro Lawn Mower of mine years ago and it is still going, now it 15 years old. I also had him work on an old Montgomery Wards tiller and after he put in a carb kit it went from rarely working to always being dependable. I now have a different Toro in his shop that I am going to give to my daughter.I have found his prices to be very reasonable and his work outstanding. Additionally, his wait time is much less than some of them by far. I highly recommend his stop for any small engine issues, lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc,. I have made him the only person I will trust after two other bad experiences before I found him.
Quick service, friendly staff, cost was a little high though.
Good and friendly service.
When getting quotes for a repair these guys want more than double for a repair than every other shop I have called, and so far I have called seven places. Ouch on the wallet!!
Good customer service
