This place took my lawn tractor and tore it apart without notifying me of this action. It was suppose to be repaired; replace a pulley bearing. Now I do not have a lawn tractor to cut my 1/2 Ace of lawn. They choose to ignore my complaint and make this right, so I filed a BBB complaint. They will not respond to BBB complaint case to resolve this outrageous business behavior. So the BBB complaint will be profiled on Little Engines for three years. The owner is very confrontational. Bad behavior!
Should not be in business bad experience had to go through with this business took my power washer to get carburetor fix get it back waited a little bit to use cause didn’t need to but when got out to use realize this is not my commercial hose they switched it out goes up there owner calls me a idiot said my moms a idiot and y’all calls that business they are terrible in that place needs to be shut down this not my hose or sprayer
Love this place they took care of me and the middle in the middle of a clean up they had no power but they still had the doors open
No customer service. Improperly trained employees. They used to be excellent until the pandemic. Now I will drive all the way to Bellevue. What a waste
This place is terrible! Tried to get some wheels for my mower he said there were used ones you can go down and look through a big old box of them find them well thats not really what I wanted to do then he told me I need to climb up on a ladder as a customer to see if theres any on a Shelf thats not what I was going to do so then finally he supposedly ordered the wheels I wanted and the wrong one came in so then he ordered them said theyll be in on Tuesday, then he said they were on back order. Days later not a call, very terrible business would not recommend them at all if you need your blade sharpened go to Three Bs on Maple Street cheaper and they get it done in a couple days and they are so much more polite
I have no idea how this place stays in business. I dropped off a mower over 3 weeks ago. When I called last for an update they told me no one is showing up for work and they were going to have to start calling people to come pick up their mowers. Ill be one of those people picking up their mowers. Dont go here.
Been going there for years. Went today. LOVE going out to the junk pile and finding my own parts. spent $3 bucks today. thanks!!
DO NOT and I MEAN DO NOT give your business to the company as they are completely unprofessional and the owner Mick is as rude as possible to people. Their service has gone down hill and is not want it once was, I have been a long term customer for 16 plus years and can tell you I WILL NOT be taking any of my equipment there any longer. They DO NOT do a overall good service. THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER !!
Our lawn mower was left at Little Engine on May 15, 2021. We were reluctantly given a loaner mower on June 5 with the expectation of a further search for our mower the following week. Our original receipt and mower model number was left at Little Engine on June 9, 2021. A person earlier identified as the Owner or decision maker of Little Engine on June 12 was rude and dismissive regarding the status of our lost mower. My husband was told to leave the shop.
This business is AMAZING! Everyone was able to help me and get what I needed! Great Service! I will be going back
Waited in line for 20 minutes just for them to tell me they weren’t accepting any more jobs. If you don’t have people showing up for work hire more.
Just called to find out the status of a repair on my snowblower and was told by a very rude woman at the business said that it would be done when they got to it and they would call when it was done. I simply asked when that might be, since they have had it over a week, and she raised her voice and repeated that they will call when its done. So I have no idea when we will get it back or even how much the repair will cost. Very unpleasant and unprofessional.
Employees are nice. Work quality is not.Have had my mower up there three times for the same problem. Taking my business somewhere else.
Never do business there ever again. Bought a stihl chainsaw took it home and used it. Worked well. Went back two months later and they said they sold me the wrong saw and I had to pay $200 more for the saw that I had already bought two months prior. Not very honest..
Get your lawn mower, chainsaw or snow blower fixed here.Helpful staff :)
Garbage Service. Go to Teds
I have been using these guys for several years. Always great service at a good price. Three weeks ago I dropped of a string trimmer to just have them check it out. I hadnt run it for several years. I waited a week and called, they said be ready next week. Week goes by and called again. They say not yet next week. Another week goes by, I call and, you guessed it not ready, so at the end of the third week and still not ready I told them to get it ready I would pick it up and do the work myself.Used to be good, but not any longer, stay well clear.Well, I picked it up today, and what a surprise, it was done and ready. I havent tried it yet, but guess they just needed a kick start to get it done.
I went there for a replacement wheel guy at the counter was very knowledgeable and instead of buying a new mower i fixed mine and gave it a tune up im very appreciative of him helping me save over $200 also been there in the past for parts for my snowblower and aunts rider mower never a problem and will always go back and refer them to people
Long story short....My experience was Grade A. I was served my a gentlemen, I believe may have been the owner, Mick. He was patient and professional. Looked up the particulars for my snow machine and made sure he was sending me with the appropriate spark plug for my equipment. The plug was $4.25. He said...If you have $4 it would be close enough. After installing the plug he sent me home with, my blower fired off and was fully working again. I would go back here in a heartbeat.
They were really nice people to work with great experience.
Had mower in for service. Two weeks and not even looked at, tech said he would get done. Third week, I am third on list to be serviced. Andrew hung up on me, when asked if I need to take it somewhere else?Obviously they have enough work and do not need to be bothered with additional work!!!!!!!!!!!!
They seem to have had a change in the level of service recently. I have used them for many years probably 10 years, with no complaints. Now they seem to have consistent problems getting the parts in a timely manner. They promise 5 business days but Im on calendar day 14+ with no resolution.I guess its time to be looking for another shop.
I just stopped by looking for air/oil filters for my John Deere push mower and the employee at Little Engines knew exactly what I needed right away... I bought the filters, spark plug and oil for about $30 (cheaper than online). Very happy and will recommend Little Engines to anyone looking to do an oil change on their lawn mower.
I recommend Little Engines. They have always been very and accommodating and helpful. I took my blower in because it wouldnt run well and they fixed it on the spot without charging me. I didnt even buy it there.
My neighbor and I couldnt start the lawn mower he adjusted the back cover and started right up. It was a safety feature. He charged nothing.
Not only did I have to wait 3 weeks to get a belt installed on for the front wheel drive. it worked one time. Started mower up today and the dang thing did not work. Paid over 100 dollars to get it fixed. Dont take your stuff there.
Been a customer for about 20 years. They do good work and stand behind it. I did have an issue this year where they claimed to call me to ask about going forward on a repair and could not leave a voice mail. They had the wrong number and blamed it on a computer switch. Dont know why they did not call my other number which they had that was correct. They do not want you calling to check on status, so I didnt and this caused a delay. Had to hire to have my lawn done in the interim. This happened once before with them. I also witnessed an older very grumpy employee talking to a customer in a way I would never allow myself to be talked to. I wish I had said something on her behalf. What he was saying made sense but he was beyond rude to her and it was in front of a room full of customers. Not sure if he is the owner?
I stopped in 3 weeks ago looking for a trimmer and the guy helping me did a good job explaining the differences in the stihl trimmers, especially the different (new vs old) carburetors in the models I was looking at. It was exactly what I was looking for and has been working out great for me.Fast forward to this week and Im changing out my blades on the deck of my riding lawn mower, only for them to be stuck and Im unable to remove with a 12v impact. I called Little Engines and they tell me to bring it in. They got out the Pneumatic impact and took them off for me and wouldnt charge me.
Have all ways had good service and been very helpfully with parts I need
5/12/19 I heard they are closing. Anyone confirm this? I hope they dont sell someones equipment or rip people off. Now I wish Turf & Trail was still around.
Been taking my snow blowers and concrete saw to Little Engines for years. Ive been pleased with their honesty and prompt service to keep my equipment up and running.Owner, Master Deck Builders
We recommend this business to anyone in business! Our landscaping equipment was purchased and serviced by this place. They take such good care of their clients and keep our small business-in business and growing. We wouldnt go anywhere else.
What a great place! I brought my mower in and asked for a spark plug. James was very helpful and I really appreciated just help! Made my day!
The man that answers the phone is a jerk who acts like he is doing a big favor if you call to check if they have a part in stock before driving to their store. There are two girls that work there who are very nice, but the guy is not fun to deal with at all. Other places have lower prices on parts without the rudeness.
The Lady at the front counter is very very very rude. I will never use this service again nor will I recommend them. Someone told me not to use them but I had used them in the past and they were decent then but not anymore. I did not allow them to tune up my snowblower...I came back and got it before they could get to it.
I took my Ariens riding mower to Little Engines on 90th & Military for blade sharpening and service. It cost over $200 and when I picked it up - the engine was sounding bad. The guy said it was because it had been sitting. I took it back 2 weeks later and the owner said it was because there was water in the gas (a lie). I changed the gas and took it back because it was getting worse (the engine froze). A mechanic said it had too much oil (I added none). The guy behind the counter told me to take my mower somewhere else. Do not do business with Little Engines -- they are crooks! In addition, they called the police after they threatened me if I did leave (Im 77 years old).
I own a lawn, landscape & tree service. Mick and his crew always take good care of us. My guys are in and out of there a couple times a week and theyre always available to solve our problems, whatever they may be. Thanks, guys!Ryan HumlicekSunworks Lawn Care
Took chainsaw in for repair . They said would be 90 dollars for carburetor. Nothing for three weeks . Went to check on it they say it would be 160 dollars to repair. I could buy a new one for that price . No thanks then charge 26 dollars for diagnostic or give them the saw. Never doing business with them again.
My car wasnt towed, thanks for your patience
Tried getting a replacement cable for my mower. First time got the wrong cable(was 18 inches too long), then waited a month for the right cable. Still wrong one.
Dropped lawn mower off on morning of Saturday, March 25, for standard maintenance (blade sharpening, etc.) The mower had run well the previous summer. Was told that it would take 2 to 3 weeks due to busy season. After 3 weeks had passed, called shop and left claim ticket number on voice mail on Monday, April 17, at 10am.Did not receive any phone call from shop. Called again on Friday, April 21, at 3:45pm and left second message. On the morning of Saturday, April 22 (4 weeks after I dropped it off), I went into the shop and asked to check on the status of my claim ticket. A mechanic looked it up in the system, seemed confused about the nature of the service that it was awaiting, then confirmed that they had not worked on it yet and that it would be done by Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week (April 25, 26).After receiving no phone calls, returned to the shop on Saturday, April 29, and asked to check the status of my claim ticket again. Salesperson responded dismissively If it was done, they would have called you. He took the ticket and looked it up in the system, but seemed confused by what he saw and said that he needed to send me downstairs to the shop to look into it.I went downstairs, and a mechanic looked up my ticket and seemed similarly confused. He confirmed that they had my name in the system but no mower under it, and the claim ticket record itself was closed which meant that he no longer had access to any information about the record or its history. We proceeded to walk around the shop attempting to find the mower. After more than 10 minutes of walking around the shop and two separate outdoor areas, on our second pass of the junkyard we found the mower. It had a sign taped to it that included the claim ticket number, and the description Junk. Dipstick had no oil. He pulled the dipstick and showed me that there was only small amount of oil on the very end. When I asked if the mower still ran at all, he showed me that the cylinder heads werent even attached, and instead were inside a plastic bag that had also been taped to the mower handle. I could also see that a vent cover on the side appeared to be partially detached as well.He pointed out that the sign indicating that the mower was junk was dated March 31, meaning it was sitting in the junk pile for:- 2 weeks before I called the first time- 2 weeks before I paid someone else to mow my lawn (when I could have just gone out and bought a new mower and saved money)- 3 weeks before the first time I went into the shop in person, where i was told they had not worked on it yet, and that it would still be a few more days- 4 weeks before the second time I went to the shop in person where the salesperson dismissively told me that if they had worked on it, they would have called meThe mechanic said that he didnt want to put too much time into it for fear of driving up the cost of the total service, but agreed to put it back together and see if he could get it running. One hour later, he called me to let me know that he could not get the mower to start. At no point has anyone from the shop ever called me about anything, with the exception of the call from the mechanic to let me know that my mower was dead, approximately 5 weeks, 2 phone calls, and 2 in-person visits after I dropped off the mower for simple maintenance.
I was told ten days to get a part in and my lawn mower repaired. Every time I called to check status, the phone was not answered, forcing me to drive there to get information. After three weeks (not ten days) the mowers was ready. I suggested a discount to compensate for the horrible customer service, it was declined. This company preferred to lose a customer rather than to try to make things right. They lost two generations of business for life.
Call to find out about getting a part. They said they had it in stock. Drove all the way out there to get it and the 12 year old boy working told me he just never checked. I really cannot understand what kind of customer service this is and should have taken notice of the bad reviews before going.
I appreciate LE fixing my blower. It works now. Glad it was what I thought it was. Thanks guys
It seems anything we bring in to be fixed, including a seldom used Poulan weed eater we purchased from them, always is short lived and the next season the equipment breaks down. We even had them put in a part in our snow blower but the next time it was started, it broke off in the engine. We have never had problems at other shops but this happens to be the closest to us. In addition, service is very slow and parts we need are never in stock and that often delays the repair a month with all kinds of excuses why the manufacturer is the problem.
I should have read the reviews prior to bringing my lawnmower there. They said it would be 5-7 days, and it ended up being almost 2 months. I called 4 times asking what was going on, and every time they kept giving me the run around. The last time I called to ask if it was ready, and asked why they didnt call, the guy just kept telling me what he charged me, and that 7% went to the government. Who cares? I just want to know why they didnt call to tell me it was ready! Never got an answer. Find another small engine shop please!
Ill never know what their service was like, as they never got around to working on my mower/trimmer. When I took it in they told me there were only 5 units in front of mine for repair and that it would take no more than one week. A week later they told me there were 12 units in front of mine, and by the end of week 3 their response was they had no idea when they would get to it. Not recommended.
Big shout to James. Took my snowblower in to get it fixed and he had it diagnosed within 5 seconds, just a bad primer bulb. Thank you for the time and $avings.
Great service, timely, and well done.
I took my weed eater in almost a month ago and was told it would be few weeks. I called in after 2 1/2 weeks and was spoke to very tude on the phone. I was told they would call in a week or so, I still haven’t heard from anyone. Very bad customer service here and super slow in getting the work done. It is still to be determined how the quality is but I am keeping my fingers crossed after all of the negative reviews!
Man the service department dont answer.. and the parts department told me I had to come in, I libe across town I asked if they could please look and see if they had it the lady said no and slammed the phone down on me.. whats the deal and they are still in business ?
LoL they know what they did and they did it on purpose. And then the way they handled it was absolutely unprofessional. I feel sorry for the attention that this will get their business. They made a choice to do me wrong. The person in the picture I submitted with this is an employee there. Talking to a customer like that on social media LOL.
Worst service I have had any where
Dropped off a weed eater that wasnt running right. Took weeks to get it back and was charged nearly the price of the weed eater itself just to get it fixed. It worked for about a month and then the same problem started again. Took it back and the rude and mouthy front desk desk girl told me it must be the gas Im using even though its the same gas thats used in numerous other weed eaters and mowers and they seems to work just fine. Its one thing to not stand by your work, but its a whole other problem to get defensive and immediately place the blame on an outside source without even looking into the problem. If youre looking for polite customer service, quick turn around time, and good prices, this isnt the spot. Then when looking on here at other reviews I see they get responses with the same rude attitude and BS excuses that they give their customers at the store. Wish I would have seen these before I ever decided to take my business there. I wont make that mistake again!
Not sure how this place stays open...illegal activities to stay afloat perhaps...when I walked in it was like a hole in the wall bar...like wow
I thought they were a good company. I did not have any problems. A little high priced but the job is done.
Horrible service and staff is rude! Go to Ty’s and save yourself the hassle.
Has drastically gone downhill since the so called manager has been there. She says what you want to hear and then does the complete opposite and dont bother trying to call the place, whoever answers seems annoyed that you called (and will probably put you on hold forever) The place is trashed, over priced, and I am completely unsatisfied with their business practices.
Rude, rude, rude. Dont know their facts. Or lied to me to get me off the phone. I wont be going here for anything. Bad business model.
Little Engines we above and beyond to help me figure out what part I needed to fix my snow blower of on the eve of the first major snow storm. Thank you!
Great for help. It can get bust at times.
Went in to get a coil place was trashed. Came back a few days later and they lost my part made me start digging through broken saws to find one. Its been to weeks and still havent found part and they have not done anything.
Left knowing my equipment was In the WRONG hands...
Knowledgeable and helpful! I recommend Small Engines. ©¿©,
Called for information then told different things at the store. Put wrong tire on my rototiller then said they werent the ones who put that tire on. Will never go back
Excellent service and very reasonable.
Incredibly rude staff and comoletely unhelpful.
Very rude and unprofessional if you have a parts phone number shouldn’t be worried if you have someone in line if you do t have time to take phone calls don’t answer the phone and be rude to your customers on the phone we obviously call you to check availability because we are more than 30 miles away from your business So future reference be nice you might keep a customer
Steven makes the wheels turn
Just looking at all small engine repair services for a friend. Noticed the owner responding to a customer with a negative reply. Ill continue looking if theyre treating people like that.
