Between the apathetic staff and the sheer volume of payment, West O Fitness is a scam. Their attatchments for certain machines are plastic. Even their clips have found a way to be outdated. The only redeeming quality of this shabby gym is the hoist machines. These are of good quality, and I genuinely enjoyed using them. I honestly wouldve given a higher rating if the staff just didnt exist.

I have been going here for two years and love it. If you are looking for a gym that has all the equipment you need, you can get in and get out, and gets the job done with 24 hour access with a great price then this is it. Seems like a lot of the bigger gyms it’s always a show and not many are there to workout but West O is the opposite. The staff is friendly and awesome and the people that go here are friendly. It’s like a little community with the same friendly faces at the different times every day but we could use some new friendly faces so give it a shot and don’t wait til next Monday start now!

It has everything I need to get a full work out in. The area is always clean and Im able to completely focus on working out.

When looking to sign up at a gym be VERY cautious about signing up at West O. The staff is rude, misleading, and completely unhelpful when there is an issue. I was told I was signing up for a trial membership. After I used the gym a handful of times I decided that it wasnt for me and I would stick to where I was going. Never was told that I was signing a contract or anything, so the guy at the front desk said You are good to go. Let us know if you change your mind. I figured that was that.... however, today when looking at my credit karma I noticed 1 collection account... I clicked on it and WEST O SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT EVEN SIGN UP FOR. I tried disputing it and their collection agency and them were absolutely no help. I am not even sure that I gave them my SSN, because there is no way I would give that out to sign up for a gym. They were unable to furnish a contract that I signed etc. Be very cautious when giving them any of your information.

I love the place, I have been going there for 3 years without complaint. Equipment works all the time, and if its not they usually replace it relatively quickly. I usually go after hours but when I go during the day the staff are friendly.

Poorly managed facility. I had to un-authorize access to my bank account when they continued taking dues 3 months after written cancellation. They dont seem receptive to refunding fees taken in error.

West O Fitness is amazing! Ive been going here for a year now, and it is easily my favorite gym. There is plenty of cardio machines if thats your thing. Im more of a free weight person and theres lots to use. Rarely do I ever have to wait for something and if I do, I never have a problem finding an alternative exercise. The facility clean and the staff is super friendly. Also the price Is affordable and I have access 24 hours a day.

For a serious workout, not fashion show. Clean & Friendly. Premium package includes message and tanning. No daunting personal trainers following you around. Great price.

This is the best gym in Omaha. It is always clean, friendly staff and low prices. They have the option of a month to month membership or year contract to save on enrollment fee. All the equipment is new and they dont have a bunch of broken machines as previous post mentioned.

Policies at West O fitness do not make sense compared to other gyms. Never in my life have I had to go in and sign something to cancel a month-to-month membership.

Tried canceling 2 memberships back in September. Then in October we were hit with $90 for yearly maintenance fees. I called down to talk to manager and he said we should not be charged and they would send us a check. The check never came and then in December they started charging our bank account again. I tried going in to gym but was told that manager was no longer there and no one would help and left info for manager but never called back. I called them 2 days later and talked to manager and she said she would investigate and call me back in hour but never did. I called back later that day and was told she left for day. Finally got the cell number of the owner but he was no help either and did not seem concerned about our billing issues. Manager finally called me back the next day with allot of excuses and telling me they werent refunding my yearly dues or what they were charging me in December. Was told that even though it is a 30 day notice for cancellation that depending on when you do it they still can charge you 2 months dues after that which seems dishonest. Staff never calls back and seem disorganized or just dont care. My advice would be to not go to this gym but if after reading this you still decide to, dont give them your bank info, only credit card so you can cancel your card if you are treated like I was. Allot of good gyms in West O so shop around.

I have been going for about 3 months and I enjoy it. Its smaller so when it gets busy it can be difficult to get on the machine you want but overall I am happy. The people that workout there have been nice and not judgey

Very disappointed to have a gym so close be so bad. Ellipticals don’t read heart rate well. Machines don’t have chargers for your phones. No Scale!! I’ve been trying to weigh myself there for over a week now. They finally got a scale after ordering it and a day later the battery dies and they tell me no one sells batteries. When I tried to talk with a young male there he was rude and couldn’t believe I was upset enough to quit this gym since they didn’t have a scale. Please pick a different gym!!

I should have stop with the signup process when they where have to ask for my email over and over even tho I spelled it out for them a few times, so I didnt the membership contact that they send by email to you.I did the meme of signing up and never using but they make it hard to cancel your membership in that you have to cancel in person and that you have to give them 30 day notice of cancelling before they will cancel the membership.Then today I found that they where still charging me a membership that I canceled back in June. Even in their system showed that is was canceled back in June. Stay away if you value your time.

They will give you the run around and NOT do as they say and they will even charge you again and refuse to refund. Manager is extremely rude. I went in today to cancel my membership only to be informed I will be charged the $30 maintenance fee and the membership fee in November as well. I had a year contract that was up several months ago I’m now month to month. Why should I pay $30 for a maintenance fee for a gym I no longer belong to. They refused to do anything about it! Absolutely horrible. Has greedy management written all over it!

They just want your money. The Manager RORY is terribly rude. Bad customer service. The man at the main desk likes to use the word retard and doesnt even want to do his job. I do NOT recommend this place.

Never have to wait to get on equipment. Plenty of cardio equipment. Sauna is a great added feature and the hydro massage is awesome.

Staff and managers are very rude and dishonest. They do not care about their members or their issues they have. Good luck trying to cancel your membership youll be charged for months and months after. Pay for a gym that actually cares about being a good gym.

UPDATE: I am very impressed by the turnaround at WOF. They have hired a new manager that cares and she listens to members and employees. They have abandoned the video approach to classes and have been good about keeping classes lead by qualified instructors. They have replaced the old tattered weights too! You rarely find equipment thats not working and the place is keep pretty clean. Its a good value.ORIGINAL: Join at your own risk....Remember you get what you pay for. When I joined I ignored the reviews on Facebook because I tested out a few classes and they were really good (its all about the instructor). Speaking of reviews... where did they go? West O must have taken them down because they were all VERY unfavorable.That awesome instructor has now quit because the managers and owners would never reply to her messages. When I signed up I said I was a class girl and was concerned about the number of classes. I was told they were working hard to add more! I went today at 7:00 and class was canceled without notification. And, check out the photo I posted...more classes canceled permanently. In spite of the equipment we had and the dangerous rack the weights are held in (see pics), I never missed.At one point the gym had 8 machines out of order and it took them over 8 weeks to fix them. And the broken mirror...well, its still broken. If you dont mind germs, sign up. Theres one chemical bottle for the entire gym to use to sanitize equipment before and after use. I dont think Ive ever seen anyone using it.Speaking of joining, most people I talked to there are paying $19 a month with no contract. Im paying more than that and they wont let me out of my contract even though they have changed what I purchased.Just dont do it!

Very easy to get a membership and a great place to exercise as well as very open to letting others workout together.

Their equipment breaks down every week almost, constantly crowded, no rules followed like not sitting on a machine for a hour talking to your friends, and the list goes on. When explaining my concerns on the equipment fixes was given a snotty response. Its super easy for me to like a gym; Im old school, dont care about slamming weights, hot vs cols temperatures, no judgements but you HAVE to keep equipment working especially if your gym is overly crowded.Oh and update, they took away the review option on their Facebook because they were so bad 🤣

Great gym, been going for over a year and had no issues. Always kind staff and gym-goers, happy to spot or otherwise help you out. Pretty low cost (under $20). Good equipment and almost never too packed. Never had any trouble finding a machine to do my movements. Details: Mostly Hoist Fitness equipment, a few squat racks, two of each of the more important machines, one machine for most things, dumbbells up through the 100s, rack of curl bars thru 100s, 3 bench presses, 5 tiltable single benches, two large cable sets, over 25 cardio machines.

Reasonable prices, but can get pretty busy during peak hours. Open 24 hours with secured entry. Some amenities not available for non-staffed hours.

Great gym with everything you need for your workouts at a good low monthly price

I recently signed up for this gym and will never step foot in it due to the lack of professionalism and the rude staff. Miscommunication on my part, I tried to cancel the membership less than 24 hours later. The employee was very rude and told me no because I was in a year contract. I stated when I signed the forms (electronic signature, never saw the forms) I asked what I was signing and they said it was permission to pull from my account every month. I spent 3 days trying to get ahold of the manager and leaving messages. Finally got ahold of him and he was horribly rude. I tried to negotiate with him and figure out a solution to cancel my contract and he refused. After I stated one of his employees repeatedly used the word retarded while speaking to me, he never apologized and brushed it off. My dad went in later that evening because he felt I was being taken advantage of. The manager was just as rude to him and told him he thought I was lying about the language of his employee because I didnt get my way. Once again, never apologized. I do not recommend this gym to anyone. I will never step foot in this gym until its time to cancel and praying they dont cause this much trouble for me then.

This seems to be managed extremely unethically. I find random charges and price increases all the time, and when I tried to cancel they attempt to continue to charges. This place wont be around much longer if they continue to push around members like this. The staff is rude and doesnt seem to care. Trust me Im not the only one out here thinking this. Dont join this gym, unless you want to be snaked by money hungry management.

Inexpensive workout facility! Great place to get a workout in if youre not interested in any extras like childcare, a sauna, steam room, etc. It can get pretty crowded during the normal gym rush hours though.

Signed up and paid online. Showed up to train and told I have to fill out paper work like what I did online. Can’t you print it or save the online version? Then told I need to write my credit card number on a piece of paper so they can run it later. I said no that’s how fraud happens with CC numbers sitting around. Their solution, come back tomorrow at 5:00 am so they can enter it then. Oh and there will be a monthly $5 service charge for using a credit card each month. I’ve been working with credit cards my whole life and it does not cost them $5 on a $15 monthly dues. Its around 0.25 cents or less on a $15 transaction.

When I was little, my mom would do cardio videos in the front room, and while she did weights, she would give me and my little sister cans of Campbells soup to lift. My reccomendation would be to save your money, (and plenty of it; they dont take their legal responsibility to inform you of money they are taking out of your checking account overly seriously) and maybe you can ask my mom if you can come lift campbells soup cans with her in her living room.

A very clean gym with friendly staff that dont pressure you. The prices are very affordable and they have almost every piece of equipment you could need.

Terrible customer service. Very rude staff. They cant keep personal trainers. I had one and she left. I called to get another one and he left. Numerous trainers have left. Very unorganized.

Wish I would have read the reviews prior to joining. When we signed up the kid (who we thought must have been new) gave us inaccurate information, didn’t tell us about the cancellation policy, didn’t tell us about the hidden fees, etc. Be wary!

Been a member for months now and it fits my needs. Only downfalls I see are machines being broken down all the time for long periods. Currently 5 machines down and 4 have been down for more than a week. Also, always seem to be out if paper towel to clean the machines.

Tried cancelling my membership and was given a laundry list of charges and costs to do so. I have no plans to ever use the facility but I have to pay for a year, maintenance fees, etc. What a rip off.

The staff at this gym are really rude especially the manager her name is Shelby. I tried to talk to her about my membership. They told me they had a cancellation takes 2 months before it goes into effect. So youll be paying the next two months even without going to the gym.
