3 years ago, we started attending Premier. Immediately after the first class with Ms. Syd, my daughter was in heaven. Constantly asking when she was going back. Her skills and CONFIDENCE quickly escalated and now she is on team getting ready to enter her FIRST meet season.Over these past few years, she has made some of the BEST friends, and I have bonded with a group of those gym moms who are the kindest, caring, stand-for-nothing type of people. Most importantly, my daughter is having so much fun and for spending 9 + hours a WEEK at the gym, this is what parents want to hear. Her favorite is when Mr. Tom (the owner) comes and coaches because as she says hes so funny, makes me laugh, and helps me be the best. Words from a 7 year old.If you are looking for a gym where you will be surrounded by a true sense of team, THIS IS YOUR PLACE.
Our daughters have gone to Premier since they were 18 months old and are both on team. We seriously could not ask for a better gym environment coaches, parents, and staff. They are very good at what they do and it shows in the girls performances when they compete! If you want your child to excel this is the place for you - they will coach not coddle, they want your child to achieve success in all areas and the girls have a great time learning from their coaches, especially with Mr. Tom he knows his stuff, the smiles and giggles they have when leaving the floor with him is priceless.
My Daughter Grace has been in the program going on 3 years and has excelled in every way. Premier is her favorite place to follow her love of Gymnastics. We have had a disagreement with the owners on one occasion but they were very professional and accommodating to our family. They were open to communication and we both left feeling great about this gym. We highly recommend Premier Gymnastics! A great place for your kids to learn, grow, and have fun.
My daughter has been attending since she was 2 and she’s 6 now. I love how they always capture her attention and influence her to do her best. She trains 9 hours a week and LOVE this place. She begs to come on off days. (So we do some rec and open gym) The owner, and the coaches are always looking out for my daughters best interested, and the interest of all the kids. They keep her safe, while building her confidence and strength. They make gymnastics fun and the kids always leave happy. Can’t wait to see how far she goes at the best place in Omaha!
Our daughter has been attending Premier for the past 5 years. She loves Premier and is excited for every practice. She absolutely adores the coaches and Mr Tom, the owner, who also takes his time to help coach the girls. This place is more than a gym, it’s a family. My daughter has met some of her best friends here. She has gained so much more than gymnastics skills as a result of her time with Premier. She has learned self confidence, positivity, sportsmanship, and how to accept constructive criticism. My daughter loves this place so much, she even asks to come back for open gym so she can have more time doing what she loves. One thing that I think sets Premier apart from other gyms is the level of respect shown for each individual in the gym. There is no “hierarchy” of importance. Mr. Tom, the owner, will be coaching girls one minute, instructing the staff the next minute, and taking the trash out after that. The coaches and staff treat each other with respect, and that positivity trickles down to the way the gymnasts are treated as well. I could not recommend Premier enough. If you want a caring place where your child is treated like family, this is the place for you.
My daughter has been attending this gym for almost 4 years. She participates in the team program and we are very happy with the coaching she gets from the coaches and the owner. Their dedication to helping the girls reach their goals is something we really appreciate.
Understand if your girl is in the lower levels of team that the criteria to move levels is entirely discretionary, and much more restrictive than at other gyms. Even if your girl meets this preset criteria, delineated months and weeks before, they will come up with excuses to not progress your child—at their discretion. The really unprofessional part is that the reasons for not progressing (a constantly changing bar to meet for progression) is placed entirely on your child as their problem. Discretion is fine, but be transparent as to why. If you only have so many spots at a higher level, then state that. Don’t have staff cut down and nit pick kids as an excuse to not progress them, when former teammates moved up with lesser criteria. Ex: asking to perform a skill COLD with no warmup on the event as the child’s 1 and only opportunity to demonstrate a skill successfully. “Sorry, you failed.” Such unethical behavior. There are many issues regarding staff turnover at lower levels, changing criteria for level progression, and overall management of numbers in JO lower levels (sometimes really high numbers, low staff—like 2 staff to nearly 20 girls). If you are a new parent to JO in the lower levels, just know that they need to fill the lower levels because they recently had an exodus. They need workers to staff Booster club events. Check out other gyms.
Last May I signed my daughter up for Gymnastics. She was allowed to not wear a mask while on the floor since she gets bloody noses randomly while wearing them & being physically active. She wore them in line while waiting. There was no problem last May, I was so thankful for their understanding. Im being told this isnt acceptable now. Unless they deem what shes doing as physical assertion, she must wear it. We opted out after her teacher shes had this entire time waited for me to leave my daughters side to go directly up to her & tell her she needs to keep her mask on, even after knowing she couldnt & didnt last may. If youre looking for a place where you can trust that the staff will have enough respect & gut to directly ask you a question or state what theyre expectation is especially when there are particular circumstances for the well being of your child, then Id suggest looking elsewhere.
Your covid policy is absurd. You make kids wear masks while exercising? Someone is going to pass out and die in your gym. Not all kids can wear masks and many many doctors are warning parents of the effects of mask wearing for children! No one should go to this gym unless they change their mask policy. They should pot EVER force a mask on anyone! Also sounds like they were asking for proof of vaccination a few months ago? who does that? Go elsewhere.
If you want to subject your children to PROVING they have gotten a covid vax before they are allowed to enter without a mask, even without a mask mandate in Omaha, this is your choice. They also are requiring all of their staff to prove their vaccinations as well. Not sure who this place thinks they are.... used to go to you but never again. Lets all not forget your poor choices in the past as your former coach sits in prison. Do better.
If you like to have you and your childrens medical privacy and rights violated then this is probably the gymnastics studio for you. However if you like businesses that respect your rights, then you may want to look elsewhere! I would rather support businesses that respect mine and my childrens right to privacy.Premier gymnastics, have you ever heard of HIPAA?? The ADA?? Do you know that requiring people to disclose/ prove their vaccination status in order to be mask free or asking what their medical condition is that exempts them from wearing a mask is a violation of HIPAA? Refusing services to somebody because of their inability to wear a mask due to a medical condition (the condition is none of your business) is discrimination, the ADA prohibits that. If you come across the wrong person, they will sue you and they will win! Tread lightly. You may want to study up on the HIPAA laws before creating policies like you have. You should also probably study the ADA too (Title III of the ACT specifically). Also being a private company doesnt matter, it doesnt make you exempt. You are not the parent so why dont you just leave the masking and vaccination decision to them! You should probably just stick to teaching gymnastics.Stop being tyrants. It could cost you your business.
My girls have been going here for 3+ years and the staff are awesome with them.
We came for a team tryout and were treated so poorly by the other families we encountered. The level of pretentiousness was disgusting. My daughter also fully felt it by the team girls she encountered. It was clear that my child was seen as a threat rather than an asset and that she had to prove herself to be of benefit to THEM, before she would be welcomed in any way. Not a way to encourage team unity, that’s for sure. A whole lot of pointing and “who’s that girl” from parents accompanied by criticism, not knowing that I could see and hear them the whole time. There’s definitely an “in crowd” here and we were not welcome to be part of it. I’ve had that sense for years from the gymnastics meets we’ve attended hosted by Premier in prior years, but we wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and a shot when we were forced to find a new gym. Nope, it’s even WORSE! I’m looking for a welcoming and affirming environment for my child, not a place that rivals “Dance Moms” on TV. The fact that families feel emboldened to act like this is also a reflection on the business practices and professionalism of the gym. Reading other reviews, this doesn’t surprise me. We luckily found our new home elsewhere and couldn’t be happier! Premier cares more about fanciness and money than they do about building the positive character of their gymnasts, and it definitely shows. All of this trickles down from the TOP!
Great teachers, disciplined, attentive, kids having fun. Couldnt ask for anything more. Also since were in the midst of a pandemic I was extremely hesitant about trying this now but the frequent cleaning, social distancing, sanitizing were better than any Ive seen or could have imagined. Great place!
Great 1st time experience!
In the best interest of my son I chose to remove him from this gym. We left this gym quietly, but after some new revelations I do not want to be quiet anymore. My son competed for this gym for several years in the T&T program. Although I shared my concerns about how much time the kids spent standing around not being engaged it was never addressed. Too bad the coaches have so much knowledge in the sport but pick and choose which kid gets to benefit. With lackluster coaching my son still managed to win. Premier has a Wall of Fame in their stairwell. In order to make the wall you must be a Regional or National Champion. At only 7 years old my son was a Regional Champion. It was a goal of his to make that wall. For reference, this wall has pictures of kids from more than 20 years ago. Well, in March we decided to leave Premier. We left very amicably. I went into Premier recently and they removed my son’s picture. Why I wonder. What did he do to get himself taken off the wall? Was his status as Regional Champion no longer valid because he wasn’t at Premier. No way right because most of the kids on that wall no longer go to Premier. So, why was his taken down? Before writing this review, I called the owner for an explanation. His response, when an athlete is associated with another “competitor’s gym” they remove the picture. Which baffles me, the wall is supposed to acknowledge your contribution while you wore the Premier name on your back. But, that’s beside the point because my son has always been associated with another gym because he participates in another sport at another gym. Premier does not offer that specific sport. They were aware of his “competitor’s gym” association all along. They had no problem with his other gym association when I was paying an arm and a leg for their over-priced tuition in return for mediocre coaching. This gym fosters an unhealthy environment for their athletes and parents. It’s a “their way or no way” kind of place. If you want to be a part of a gym that supports your athlete GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
We had a birthday party for my son here. Two young gymnastics instructors actually lead the group if kids through a series of activities, including a bounce house. It was incredible, the kids loved it, and so did the adults. It was much more calm and organized than your typical trampoline b-day party. And the price is great!
Our daughter has attended Premier for over a decade and during that time its has truly been as though she has a second home. As with any athletic activity, its not all rainbows and butterflies as they work through the uos and downs of competitive spots but what Premier does so well is keep the lines of communication open if the parent or athlete ever feel they need to discuss their progress. The life lessons our daughter has learned here are priceless and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Our family has been going to Premier Gymnastics for approximately 6 years, and absolutely love it! The teachers have all been fantastic in every different class/age group weve registered for.I just read the post by Justin K., and felt compelled to respond. I was there that evening, and do not believe the staff onsite did anything wrong. Was the little girl scared by the incident? Absolutely. But if the teacher had not grabbed her & pulled her out of the way, she could have been trampled. The teacher prevented an injury, and that is something everyone should be thankful for.I currently have a 3 year old in the Mini Stars class, and a 7 year old in Trampoline & Tumbling. The kids love it, and cant wait for the new session to start!
Both our daughter and son have taken classes here and have loved it. Weve been very satisfied with the progress they have made and the professionalism of the gym.
I will start off with saying that Miss Karla is great with the toddlers in the upstairs room and their gymnastics. Here is the reason for my poor rating. We went to have a makeup session for our daughter since they had an open gym for Little Squirts. Our daughter was excited to go and do things. The lady in charge of supervising the gym was watching and telling some of the little kids where they could and couldnt play. Our daughter was on the trampoline run and was going to jump into the foam block pit but before she jumped off she did see that there was another child in the pit laying and covering themselves up. Our daughter didnt want to hurt the person so turned around to run back since there was no one waiting to run down the trampoline. The lady manager then saw my daughter and proceeded to grab my daughter in a tight bear hug manner and refused to let her go. My husband ran over to where my daughter was (only 5-10 feet away) at and told her to let our daughter go. The lady refused to and said she had to walk beside the trampoline and she needed to tell my daughter that. My husband grabbed my daughter, who was screaming bloody murder and saying Daddy, help me help me help me! In the midst of this my daughter also wet her pants in sheer terror. My husband went to the lobby area while I grabbed our shoes. While in the lobby we told the front desk person about what had happened. In a few minutes the manager came to the front desk acting as if nothing had gone wrong. She told us that we need to control our kid even though she grabbed our child and wouldnt let her go. The thing is out of all the parents that were at the gym we were the most hands on with our child whereas others were sitting in the balcony or laying on mats playing on their phones. The manager could have handled the situation completely differently. Earlier in the evening there was a boy that was a maybe the same age as our daughter. He was jumping on a trampoline that he wasnt supposed to. The manager just clapped her hands a few times and told him that he couldnt do that and he got off it. When he sat on the trampoline that he could jump on she kept asking him if his parents were there or if he was there with his sister. The boy never replied to her. My husband did get in contact with the owner and talked with him. The owner was very polite with hearing what went on.
I love this place it is absolutely amazing and I hope that I will join very very soon. Thank you so much Premier Gymnastics for the experience and I would love to go every day.
My daughter loves gymnastics at Premier. I assume my previous 1-star review was just an accidental click while scrolling on my phone.
My daughter has been at Premier for a year in October in the Mini stars program with miss Cyd. She is always enthusiastic and happy to see my daughter! She has very creative and fun ways to implement all her curriculum for the kids and keeps them motivated and interested with lots of positive coaching and encouragement that yes they can do it! As a preschool teacher for the last 12 years working with a similar age group I give Premier and Miss Cyd 5 stars! We are excited to come to Premier for years to come!
Dont let the name fool you. The owner has lost touch, his continued ignorance to the cancerous legion that is his Head Coach Bob, is driving families away with no fear of consequence for his actions or those of his staff.
Great place for my kids to learn trampoline and tumbling.
I love Premier Gymnastics! Great staff and my daughter loves taking classes here!!
My daughter wants to go she thinks its pretty cool
Well i have not been there so i think it is going to be a 5 stars
My daughter wants to go there because my older daughter went and she love tumbling i might give it to her for christmas.
I Was thinking about sending my daughter here and after visiting the facility I felt super unwelcome by the front office girl with green hair she gave me a tour and I was asking questions it was like pulling teeth to get her to talk back to me so after tour she told my I had to sign up online and then I could come back to pay so I went back after the weekend and talked to that same girl telling here i was here last week all she did was nod her head and didn’t say a word so I was like well I’m here to pay to start my daughter and she’s like did you sign up online which I did forget about it but over all she was super rude and not very friendly so after that I decide to find a new dance school for my daughter
I enrolled at Premier and it is a very good class they teach you step by step and they are very patient
Ami daughter will sing
