I have been going to Garbo’s for years and have always had a great experience. My wedding was this last weekend so I scheduled a manicure/pedicure, hair, and makeup appointment. I also was able to add my mother and sister-in-law to my bridal party where we all walked away with exactly what we were wanting! The girls at Garbo’s were amazing and really heard what we all wanted then made it happen! Highly recommend!

I see Courtney at Garbo’s. She does a great job with my blond. I’m quite particular and she listens and helps me decide when I have a new idea. Highly recommend!

I wanted to update my review from a 1 Star to a 5 Star. Thank you Darcy for genuinely caring about the customer experience and for pairing me with a stylist who is extremely knowledgeable about hair color and who was able to fix my hair and get it blended until my next real appt. Im so excited to go back for my next appointment. Ill post new pics after my next appt so people can see what a great job the stylist did.Ive tried 3 different stylists at this location and, even though they claimed to have training and are good with color, it wasnt the case. Attached are pictures. The one where Im smiling is what my hair looked like until I started going to Garbos. The other two are my last experience. They werent able to blend my highlights, get my color right, and in sections, there was over processing of the highlights. Thats why it looks like I have a wing on the side of my head. There was no blending and my hair is a mess. I tried going back for color correction but they said no stylists available to help but I could go to another location. I am now looking for a new salon and will NEVER go back here.

I moved to the area and, after a lot of research, decided to try it out.My first two experiences were good. I had the same stylist. My third appointment was cancelled because my stylist was ill. Perfectly understandable. I rescheduled and, again, was cancelled because of illness. I rescheduled with another stylist and had a good experience.I had an appointment scheduled with my original stylist on my one day off and was, once again, cancelled. This time due to a “family emergency.” When I called Garbo’s I expressed my extreme frustration of being cancelled three different times by the same stylist. I was offered a time a week later during the day, however I work during the day and this wouldn’t work. I rarely have days off, that’s why it was scheduled then. I told the gal that answered the phone that they just lost a client and was told “sorry.” I told her that’s how much they think of their clients? See you later? She told me she would have the manager or owner call me. That was four days ago and have heard nothing. I gave them time to make things right, but they never did. So, I decided that I would have my voice heard another way.By wary: unreliable staff and uncaring attitudes. I expected much more.

Courtney L. has been doing my hair for over a year now. She does a great job! Always listening to my ideas and concerns. She colors my grey, highlights, and cuts my hair. When I was interested in a smoothing service she doesn’t perform, she had no issues referring me to AND coordinating services with one of her colleagues.She has also cut my boyfriend’s hair. He wanted a completely new hairstyle. I was nervous, but she pulled it off and he looked SO handsome. Most important to me, Courtney is genuine. She truly cares about people, easpecially her clients.

A couple weeks ago I had an appointment with garbos and upon walking in was greeted with the biggest attitude. I then proceeded to the front desk where a nice young woman helped me check-in to my appointment. The issue was there was no appointment under the books. When the young woman got confused, the rude, come to find out manager, Sarah began disrespecting both me and her fellow employee. When I asked to speak with a manager she replied “I am the manager and now she’s out on lunch” and stormed off. After I left the salon with a rescheduled appointment. I then found her smoking a cigarette outside. Not good customer service what so ever. If she was my employee, I would fire her on the spot. I won’t be returning to garbos for my appointment.

I will never go back to sam for my hair.

I moved here from Georgia a few months ago, I’m very particular about who cuts or colors my hair. I met Lindsey B., and I was fascinated with her passion and knowledge. She did a fabulous cut and color for me and took her time in explaining to me the best way to style it and the best products to use. Very talented! Go see Isabelle! I am a curly girl who has had A LOT of bad cuts. Isabelle took the time to listen and make sure my hair would be EXACTLY as I wanted it. She cut a little at a time to make sure it would not bounce too short, and was super friendly the throughout the entire process. (She also gives a fantastic head massage with your shampoo 😉) I cannot express how appreciative I am! Loving my hair!!

I have gone to Garbos for a year now. Marie is my stylist and I LOVE HER! She is so thoughtful about making sure my hair is exactly as I envision it every time I get my hair cut. I have also had a facial done and the facialist was so personable too! Never have I left Garbos without feeling I achieved exactly what I wanted! The receptionists are also always friendly too. The Village Pointe location is first-rate!

I booked my first appointment at Garbos with Emily. You are always a little apprehensive when choosing a new stylist, but I had a great experience! I had a picture of what I was interested in, and she did an excellent job. She was very friendly and put me at ease from the jump! I would highly recommend her!

Hailey did a wonderful job cutting my hair! They have a great clarifying shampoo with apple cider vinegar that smells good. Its terrifying trying out a new salon and stylist but you will be in good hands with Hailey!

I am not gonna recommend this place, they are not reliable they canceled our appointment and they try to blame us for it . My wife had an appointment when she showed up she was told that someone else took her spot and she had to reschedule . We explained that we have kids and we made arrangements but they said nothing they can do. We would never use this place again and would not recommend it to anyone .

I had my hair dyed here and had an A+ experience! I was looking to dye my hair brown for a long time and I was apprehensive to come in at first due to having poor dye experiences in the past. However, the hairdresser I had -- Christian, was super helpful, attentive, informative and very professional and an all-around great stylist. You are in good hands with him! Thank you all!!

They were very accommodating and pleasant. My daughter and I went and got a mother/daughter massage (couples) and our massage therapists were super sweet and did a fantastic job.

My color is always exactly what I envision and my cut is forward-thinking and meets all my maintenance needs. Thanks to Lindsey I dont have bottles and bottles of various products - I know exactly the ones I need, how to use them, and I am so thankful. She listens, has flawless skills and is a great person. I love Garbos! Everyone is super nice and Sam does an amazing job everytime I go in! She had NEVER given me a bad haircut and is the only stylist Ive had that I can say that about! She also does a fabulous job on my 6 year old daughters hair and my daughter also has autism. She is so good with her and makes her feel so special!

Its not unusual for me to go to a different hair stylist every time I need a trim. However, after meeting Ashley I think Ive found someone Ill stick with. Shes amazingly sweet and extremely talented. I love my new hair cut!

This was my first time at Garbos and it was a wonderful experience. Im from Minneapolis but spend a lot of time in Omaha and was looking for a new stylist. Taylor was my brow stylist and she was amazing. Best brow wax to date and she showed me a great new product for my VERY blonde brows :) I went to Alyssa for my cut and I really appreciated her opinions and enthusiasm for changing up my cut. It looks AMAZING and I am very glad I let her do what she thought would look great. Highly recommend this salon and Taylor and Alyssa!

Christian is so great! His first time cutting my hair and he gave me exactly what I wanted, and was super fun and easy to talk to I think I found my new hairdresser!

Ive been going to Garbos at Village Pointe for 5 or 6 years now. I always have a great experience and come away looking 10 times better than when I walked in. Its like magic. The stylists are great and I look forward to catching up with them from my last visit.

Going to get my hair done by Crystal is my treat to myself. She makes me feel and look like a million dollars each time I see her. The rest of the staff is all bonus. I always look forward to my hair appointments at Garbos and wish they rolled around more often! They are relaxing and I feel pampered by the staff. They know me the minute I walk in the door. My stylist is ready immediately and I never wait. Jesse has suggestions if I am ready for a change and always actually listens to me regarding what I want in the style and care of my hair. For the last 20 + years Ive been going to the same stylist Trish Story. She is wonderful and the experience is enough to rate the place a five. What can I say? No problem with the receptionists. No problem with the calendaring. Excellent in each and every way you could rate a place. I get a cut every quarter. So that’s 20 years X 4 cuts. In over let’s say at least 80 contacts with Trish and her crew I never had anything but a five star encounter.Dick Rensch

Mary was this person I have ever got my hair cut from in the many years of my life. I will recommend her to as many people as I can.

Terrible. Orange, gray stripes. Hair chunks falling out. No return from manager. Over priced. I just want my blonde/ lowlights back. Way over processed my hair. Ive had my hair done for over 20 years and this was the absolute worst. Charged for a cut a blow dry...and when out with two uneven snips and and a straight blow dry. My son even commented...Did she even. trim your hair? And it took over 2 hours...because she was in the back for over 30 + minutes. I dont usually complain but this was ridiculous.

I had a vague idea of what I wanted when I came in, but I usually ask for the stylists opinion before I decide what I want to do. Im so glad that I was scheduled with Kaylee! She was so great and I honestly never thought I could be this happy with my hair!

The services here are TOP notch, I have zero complaints and Ive always been treated kindly, professionally, and feel like this is how theyd treat their friends. But twice when Ive gone in, I have waited so darn long I almost left.. so frustrating. I feel like there should at least be a Im sorry youve been waiting so long, can we get you a glass of water, etc. The last time I was in, I got taken back right away, thankfully.

I have been going to Garbos at Village Pointe since it opened. They have always been friendly, professional and efficient. I have visited a variety of stylists there and they all were very good.

Courtney Shipp is an excellent stylist! She listens carefully to what you want and ensures you are happy with your cut each and every time. My hair is thinning, but with Courtneys layering, it looks much fuller and lays so nicely. The front desk ladies are friendly and work with you to find appointments to fit your schedule. Garbos Village Pointe is the only place I trust with my cuts!

Sherri and Garbos are the absolute best! My wife, my daughter and two granddaughters love it. There is not a better salon in Omaha.

Very very overpriced for the quality haircut I received. Don’t go there. There are many more reasonable places in Omaha that are much better.

Garbos is awesome!!It took me 3 years after I moved here from out of state,and multiple bad experiences,to find a salon I love.Ive had 2 stylists,both excellant,The one Im staying with is Lindsey B.I get multiple colored foils,and have been way overdue a couple times,which can be a challenge.She makes me look and feel fantastic,without any sign of the growth.I recommend Garbos to everyone!!

I went to this salon few times before this last visits, and up until then I liked them to a certain extend. I decided to color my hair and since they are Aveda salon I thought I will go there for color, I made my appointment for Friday @1:30 PM, apparently the receptionist wrote it down in their books/system for 12:30 PM instead. So I showed up @ 1:30 for my color appt, and they tell me ooh your appt. was at 12:30 PM and sorry the stylist doesnt have enough time now to color your hair. They didnt even make an effort to try to reach me via phone to follow up on the appt. that I should be coming to according to their books. So, I was a little upset but not so much and was okay finding me some other time to get my hair colored, they made me an appt. with the hair stylist I requested at 6:00 PM the following week. Here I am excited again, showed up on time, they greeted me, I waited about 10 minutes before the stylist came out and took me back to her station, she then says. So what are doing today?? I immediately felt this is not going to go well, she doesnt even know what is her appt about? I said, I would like to color my hair.. she then looked at my hair and said, it will probably take me a long time (2 or more hours) to get it done and I am suppose to be off by 6, do you know what color you want?? So my first response was, well if you cant do it now then dont ( I didnt want someone coloring my hair and is rushing, and all can think about is when will be done to leave). So she looked through colors with me and walked me out to find a bigger time slot to schedule my hair color appt., they found me one the week after (which is the week I am traveling on) and I took it. as I was walking out, was very upset and felt like they dont appreciate peoples business, they could have called me before I got there to inform me that she will not able to make it.. so I called in the next morning and cancelled my appt. although I am not a regular customer there but I go often but I just didnt feel they deserve my business, I will not go there again, I bet there are other Aveda salons that treat people much better and appreciate their business and also be considerate of their clients time.
