We saw Andrew Mchamon here and absolutely loved it. The venue is intimate, and there really isnt a bad seat in the house. We arrived there early enough for a railing spot on the balcony and that provided a stellar viewpoint. This place has charm on the inside so try not be deterred by the exterior. Parking is a problem however, we had to park on a residential side street about 7 or 8 blocks away. Great time overall!
Fantastic venue - have seen numerous shows at this place over the past decade. They have a good mix of known, and unknown, along with various musical stylings. Also easy to deal with when purchasing tickets. The only thing that kind of sucks is parking. If its winter, and theres snow - definitely consider getting an Lyft to drop you off and pick you up as the surrounding neighbor is very hilly and the sidewalks are not always the best.
Great time for the haunticon but it was a little bit warm in the auditorium
Great staff great venue reasonably priced. Just wish there was a little more parking
I attended a concert at Sokol Auditorium, it was everything the event needed. There was a large stage and ample standing area on the floor and balconies. The small concession stand had multiple counters to allow for fast service. This space is set up great for performances, I would happily attend another concert at this venue.
Seen some pretty fantastic shows here!
I havent been inside this hall in years ...I recently attended an awards event there and it was lovely... The temperature was perfect... Small groups of people were able to talk while a 2 Man band played in the background... Perfect for small to medium-sized gatherings
Historic venue. One of kind.
The venue is very unique. Open with a balcony. Great sound! Very close to stage no matter where you are.
Saw Hollywood Undead and Butcher Babies here! The concert was absolutely amazing and it is a decent venue.Pros:ATM if you don’t have cashSet up is nice - Had concert in one area and drinks and merchandise in anotherMusic so loud you can feel it!Drinks aren’t badly priced and they have a wide varietyCons:Neighborhood it is located in is extremely bad! (My newer car got broken into and one of my windows got broken)Very small parking lot - I had to park 3 streets awayNo seats - Just one big mosh pitPeople push and shove to get through - Too many people in one area
This is a very intimate venue. Its about the size of a high school auditorium. Some shows work really great here, some are better suited elsewhere. There isnt a dedicated parking area so arrive early and prepared to park in the residential area.
Been upstairs to Sokol in the past, first time last night at Sokol underground, basically if a dive bar and a basement concert venue had a baby...paid 20 bucks to see an insane John 5 show. Had a blast
Attended 2 weddings at Sokol, one of which was my Daughters. Awesome venue
Had ordered ajr tickets with a meet and greet pass well in advance. I arrived 2 hours early because I had not received my tickets in the mail. It took them so long to look up my information that I missed the meet and greet. I asked them if they could do anything about since the fault was clearly theirs only to get told they couldnt do anything. Was a total waste of my money and time. Would not recommend this venue for any event.
The place is old small no handicap access and security is the worst scene a fight go on and took all to get one guy out thay need to keep day job By the way it was and even the guys fault whose security start the fights One more thing no parking anywhere except on the street in the neighborhood and the neighborhood is a little rough so your car will probly get broken into so take a Uber Better Yet stay away From this place
The Elle King show was great but the soccer mom in the crowd standing near the back who said she was married to the general manager threatening to get her husband because my boyfriend and I were looking at each other and talking was pretty lame. Sokol used to be a fun place but now apparently its a place to be shamed for how one enjoys live music. So when you go make sure you stand still, dont sing along, never look away from the stage, and dont talk until after or else sokols own Linda will talk to the manager. Ive been to well over 100 shows, festivals across the country and I have never been so disappointed in a crowd in my life, its a concert not avengers end game, so bang up job sokol GM. Maybe next time leave your wife at home with a nice oaky chardonnay, shows dont need a vigilante.
Really good memories in this venue due to solid metal performances. Like the fact that they open up another section for merch sometimes. There is no parking at all for you.
Pretty great experience here. Parking is difficult so arrive early and park in the neighborhood. If its a sold out event, pack light. The building can get pretty warm. How close you really are to the stage no matter where you are is really cool. Balcony seating is nice if you show up early.
Awesome atmosphere. Great place to get up and close to your favorite artists. Get more of personal experience. Balcony seating and bar.
Fantastic venue with walls that have sen everything! I have been to concerts, weddings, pro wrestling events, art shows here. My favorite event? The annual Groundhog Prom!
This place is garbage. Basically a dive bar with a big stage. No ac, no fans and everyone working here has a bad attitude.
I go to shows all over the country and this place is a dump. I mean, if it makes the Truman look like a gem by comparison thats saying something. For those that havent been imagine walking into an old high school gym that hasnt been used in years. Then decide you are going to to host concerts there by putting some deplorable sound system on the floor. The one positive: at least the sight lines are good (proper stage height). But the sound, aesthetics, and location (no decent food or drink around) are terrible.Being from KC this is leaps and bounds worse than our worst venues (Sandstone, Riot Room, and the Truman). Unless its your favorite band and the only show in a 300 mile radius Id avoid at all costs.
Iconic venue in Omaha. Plenty of mainstream artists have come thru this venue. Must visit!
Great event space offering limitless options!
Came here a few times for a couple concerts and it was okay. Kinda small but thats fine
They were easily the most hostile people Ive ever dealt with. You would think that over charging people for concessions would make you at least a little friendly too them. If someone stole a time machine, brought the Beatles from 1967 and booked them here, I would not come back.
Will never go to this this venue again after the Dirty Heads show last night. Had a great experience 2 years ago but its now garbage. They strip search everyone on the way in and the security guards kick people out for enjoying medicine. Ive been to every venue in 100 mile radius and Ive never seen anyone get kicked out for a joint. Mind you, it wasnt even me but I witnessed very poor handling frok security in numerous situations. Unacceptable. Do not support this establishment. The waiting room and stir cove make this look like a dumpster in the ghetto.
Very decent drink prices, big venue, staff was kinda rude 😐😑😒 but it was a good show bvb and AA. Decent first impression however theres no parking lot and we had to walk 3 blocks but that was not bad.
Great for small concerts, much better for feeling the band knows your there. Actually like the theater seating it kept people organized.
A good reason to stay in the Omaha/Council Bluffs Region, I love Sokol Underground.
Was lied to about having my camera, for the Styper show....they said, i could have it and then when i got there, they said no. I have been waiting years to see Stryper live and take pics and meet them. I did get to meet them....but sokol, said no cameras, yet they had four people with cameras up front taking pics.....they were jerky and i will not go again...the place is crappy....Stryper was great and i did get to meet them.......i hope if Stryper comes to omaha again, tbey play a camera friendly place....avoid sokol
A decent concert hall. I saw Andy Mineo here!
Historic venue, from polka legends to modern indie, a true treasure!
Place is a great to see a good rock show.
Smaller venue, fun place for a show.
Cool place to see bands.
Always a great place to have fun
Great venue and lots of fun.
Love it. Small, dark, if you want a brutal metal concert, go here.
My favorite place to see a band.
I enjoyed this as a music venue even though it seemed the balcony could fall down at any moment
Terrible venue
The worst venue in town
Great people
Halestorm Rocks!!
