Mad Hatter has done work on two of my family cars and it has been great both times. Their prices are affordable, and the their work is top notch. Their customer service is excellent with keeping you informed and even following up on their work. Highly recommend this shop.

I walked into this place not knowing what i was getting myself into had a good amount of referrals to this place from so many friends, i come to this place and man!!! DID THEY HOOK ME UP!! i just wanted a simple custom exhaust done and they got it done on the spot and was absolutely blown away from the experience, they showed me upfront what they were gonna do to my exhaust line, TOP Tier Customer service and top tier experience over all!!! i still cant thank them enough for making my car sound aggressive and professional!! mad hatter is the place to go for any thing!!

These guys are great! I was traveling through Nebraska when an object fell from the pickup truck in front of me and damaged my radiator and its components. Zach gave my family a lift to the hotel, promised to have the car fixed by 14:00 the next day. Instead of immediately pushing for a more expensive fix than I needed, they were able to diagnose the root cause of the issue, fix that, and save me money. I called several muffler, auto mechanic shops on Monday, early morning to get my catalytic converter worked on after someone tried to steal it over the weekend. Zach, at Mad Hatter got me in the same day (Monday) after setting a 1pm appt for me. I drove to a different location and called to tell him I was running 10 minutes behind. He was so kind over the phone, telling me that wasn’t a problem and he would see me when I got there. After arriving, my car was immediately brought in, put up on the rack and I was out within 30 minutes with a VERY reasonable charge. These guys are the best. Everyone always ask others “if they know of a good mechanic shop?” I can say, with 💯 confidence, “I do, Mad Hatter at 144th and Center!” I will go there now for even oil changes! My regular mechanic recommended Mad Hatter to me. Jeremy was courteous and professional. They have a nice waiting area and guest Wi-Fi, so I was able to work while I waited for my exhaust system repair to be completed. Mad Hatter replaced just the flex portion of the exhaust rather than that whole section which included the catalytic converter. That saved me many hundreds of dollars. I got out the door for about $250. I call that a win.

I appreciate the response I got to the original 3 star review; and and upgrading to 4 because my overall experience was truly excellent. My disappointment was the recommendation for $3K of brake work, when I took it to Mazda the next week and they told me my brakes were fine. Do not get me wrong, you were all very helpful, patient and nice - but at the end of the day, I couldnt help but feel like being treated like a naive woman who was supposed to pay a whole bunch of money for something not currently necessary.

Made an appointment to get a hanger replaced and was seriously in and out in a flash. Great work and incredibly cheap! Staff is super friendly as well and made me feel comfortable!

These dudes are top notch. Stepped in for the first time for an exhaust upgrade and decided this was the place for me. Came back for an oil change shortly after, followed by some more routine maintenance. Every time they make quick work of it, all while being incredibly professional/ respectful. I took an older sports car here to have some radiator worked on Ive some radiator worked on. When they returned my car they returned my car I couldnt even make it out of the parking lot before it died on me before it died on me. I also took a car here to be I also took a car here to be inspected before I bought it. I bought it. They a didnt even drive it around the block drive it around the block when I asked them repeatedly to test driver. To test driver. Do not trust them and do not trust them at all.

I have had work done on my Kia a few times. Corey and his crew are always professional. Corey is honest with you. He doesnt jack you around like most mechanics do. Corey will give you the price of what is wrong and wont fix anything without speaking with you. I love Mad Hatter. This place has been a life saver for me. The guys here do amazing work! very nice and super fast as long as you have an appointment. I had my charger in to get tips put on and had to get the resonators deleted. I was in and out within about an hour give or take 5 minutes. Their prices are extremely reasonable as well. I would most definitely recommend this place to family and friends

Mad Hatter has been the place I have used for more than 20 years. It was such a great experience I definitely recommend using them! Being new to Omaha, was looking for a mechanic to fix my Ford Edge with a gasket leak. I got recommendation from Kim, Joes daughter, for this facility. They are now going to be a part of our family for our vehicles. They fixed my car with What would I do to my car? attitude. Warmed my vehicle up on pick up day and texted me to see if all ok. Their cost was considerably lower than other garages and that is with items not recommended by other places. ALL AROUND WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

They were professional and fixed my problem within an hour even though they still needed to get the part. Not cheap, but not expensive. I think they were a good value.

They did an insanely good job on my installI brought in my 2.5 inch exhaust cutout & their exhaust guy tucked it up under my Solstice gxp... hidden & you cant see it... Its sounds really good..I am addicted to the way this thing sounds right now, I dont have a way to shut the butterfly.... so I keep it wide open and I love the way this thing sounds.. When the car is cold and I have a cold start up it really does have a nice sound to it I can read it up I can hear the terrible blow off the pressure it just sounds so nice now. Sounds like a Ferrari. Rawrrrrawrrr... Especially cold starts, its moderately to almost too loudI dont care

Called shop to have a custom pipe made to have a straight pipe (DE-CAT) on my car. Shop was aware of my actions and agreed to complete the work. Dropped off my exhaust to have this made for my car and again they agreed to do this work. Three days later I had to call to find out they would not make this for my car. Please do not waste peoples time in the future. Thank you.

Having a modified car, I am always worried about taking it to get worked on. Found Mad Hatter through Facebook. Was able to see some of their work on there and get a quote. Worst experience Ive ever had, had to wait multiple times on many different days and schedule times for my car to be left there 3 times for a simple muffler job. They were unprofessional and rude. To start with they welded half of the pipe, and when i brought it back the next day they acted like theyd never seen it until I pulled put the receipt. Overall a waste of time and disappointing for just needing a muffler welded on.

I came in an talked to Jeremy about getting some new mufflers installed on my Challenger 392. I was between a Catback system and just new mufflers, instead he talked me into going straight pipes. He saved me quite a bit of money.I also brought my truck in for a few items, after all said and done, I needed a new master brake cylinder. He recommended that save my money and take care of it myself.Clearly Jeremy is in it to provide excellent service to customers and ensure repeat business. Turn around time was excellent too.

Friendly, prompt, knowledgeable! Mad Hat Muffler & Brakes completed repairs on our son’s 1999 Firebird which had a combination of mechanical issues. They did a great job in a short period of time! Totally loved the text option which included appointment confirmation and notification when repair was completed that included the invoice attached to pay online before picking up vehicle!

I needed my car to be looked at due to a gear problem. The first place I had taken my car was certified transmission and they told me my transmission cable was broken and it was going to cost upward of 1,000$. Then I brought it to mad hatter and Cory was courteous and helpful from the beginning. He checked my car again and actually found out there was nothing wrong with the cable, it was just disconnected. I’m so glad and grateful these people are genuine and honest about helping people and not looking to make money off people that don’t know any better. Will be a customer for life.

Last Friday I saw an elderly man on the side of the road. I pulled over to help and found out he was an 80+ year old veteran from 100 miles away, he was in town for an appointment at the VA. After a couple hours his truck was towed to Mad Hatter. He didn’t have the money for the repair. Jeremy and the employees at Mad Hatter took care of the installation of a new alternator plus the overhead on the part, I paid for the tiny bill that was left. Amazing people doing amazing things for the people who need it the most. Highly, highly recommend them.

Amazing service. Had some suspension work done... quote was below price with 3 other auto shops! I got same day service as well as a loaner vehicle. Staff was very comfortable explaining the car lingo and what was being done with great communication. I had a recent steering concern so I called and within the day, I had a free tow to the shop issue solved and my car was delivered to me at my place of work same day! I am very pleased I met Zach and his team!

Brought my car in to install a brake kit I purchased online. Mechanic did a great job handling a small guide pin issue. Servicing time was also quick for installing brakes on both axles. Would recommend this place to my friends!

Disappointed to learn Mad Hatter doesnt work on older cars anymore. This was my go to place for exhaust work. I guess they just dont have the skilled craftsmen any more. No more custom exhaust or even minor repairs. FYI, Mikes Classic Cars is not a muffler shop.

Do not go to these people. Went to get exhaust problem fixed and ended up with over $1,000 in radiator repairs due to them. Their response I dont do radiators when it was their fault. Very unprofessional and all about the money. Please use caution when using them.Also check your lug nuts on your tires!! We get home and one nut if missing and the rest were completely loose. Good thing I checked could have been deadly. Please, please do not use this place! Most unprofessional place in omahaBEWARE!!

Will fix you exhaust then tell you to buy all new brakes smh I’ve never replaced or needed to replace a caliper ever. 770$ brake quote and it was just there for a flex pipe. Don’t try to make me charge my whole bank for just a simple fix.

I wanted to add a nice low growl to my F150. Spoke to Jeremy about a couple of choices for a muffler and decided on a Magnaflow. This is exactly the sound I was looking for. Price was great and service was fast.

Only took a 5 minute conversation/quote to be bewildered as to how this shop is BBB accredited, or how they have a Best of Omaha accreditation. The price I was quoted was TRIPLE of what it should have been, and I was supplying the muffler and tip! Their only explanation was, its a lot of work. Keep in mind its a single 3 pipe with 2 simple bends that runs approximately 5 feet. If thats a lot of work, I dont know how they tie their shoes in the morning. Velcro perhaps? Probably still too much work...If I could post 0 stars I would. This place is in the business of ripping people off who either look inexperienced with vehicles or appear affluent. I was looking for a place I could do repeat business with, but clearly it wont be here.

5/5 Stars. 1/7/19I managed to acquire an exhaust leak on my VW R32 during earlier December. Left a nice nasty cracked piece of my exhaust blaring that wonderful exhaust leak noise. I went to a shop to get an estimate and they said they would be able to repair it by replacing the entire catback exhaust system for 1900$. I ended up taking my car to Mad Hatters about an hour later after a quick call and they got me taken care of the moment I stopped in. I was in and out within maybe 1 1/2 hours with a fully fixed exhaust system, as they were able to repair it rather than replace it.I highly recommend this place.Jeremy, your team rocks and I appreciate you all!

These guys kick ass. Theyve always gotten to my Buick quickly and Ive never had issues with their work. Straight forward, honest, and dont recommend unnecessary work. They told me on one of my visits that I needed new rear suspension. Told them to go ahead with the work and when I picked up my ride they showed me the old ones. They were completely blown out. Great group of guys.

My daughter brought in her car with a rattle. They were honest and fixed it free. 6 monyhs ago I also bought a new exhaust and catalytic converter my F250. Sounds amazing! I highly recommend them!

Exceeded expectations at an affordable price. Took the time to re-cut the muffler tip after I told them I wasnt happy with the shape.

I went in there to have my muffler repaired. The guy at the front desk did not even look at me when he said: We dont do that here! I said, you are a muffler shop arent you? He did not even answer. I left to another shop. I will never return to them or send anyone their way.

Been going here off and on since the 80s. Was always happy but something has changed. I had a flex pipe replaced and two years later it was leaking again. Took it back and they said it needed a new flex pipe, no warranty. Gave them one more chance and took my trailblazer in, it had a cracked manifold. They replaced it and a couple weeks later I had another exhaust leak. Took it back and they said they fixed it. A couple weeks later started leaking again. Debated about taking it back to them problem is I wanted it fixed correctly. I took it somewhere else they said it was hobbled together with some extra bolts and some kind of sealant. That explained the smell I was getting. The other shop replaced the gasket and put back the way it should have been and no problems since. Sorry to say I have to find a new exhaust shop after 35+ years.

Backed my new dodge ram truck into a light pole curb. Dented and mangled my back right exhaust. I am handy myself but dont have the tools or expertese to do a professional repair. Literally a little under an hour later and 104$ it was like factory again. I got under to inspect and can see that the old man in the shop removed and heat treated/repaired the pipe. Im a pipefitter. Good work. You get what you pay for and these guys are worth it.
