First time ever writing one of these up, but these folks went above and beyond, so I am trying to give credit where it is due.I have had car trouble for months visiting numerous mechanics, around Omaha with no success. Skip everywhere else, these guys are the best.These guys are hardworking, competent, and most of all honest. I was informed every step of the way including pros and cons of different fixes, and multiple repairs we could undertake.The final cost even came slightly UNDER what I was initially quoted, because they were able to repair some parts they previously thought would have to be replaced.Additionally, kudos for excellent customer service. When I brought my car in, I was in a bit of an automotive emergency. Eric at the front desk said they were booked out for several days, but if I left my car, and by some miracle something happened he would see what they could do. Lo and behold I had my car the next day. Even if you have to wait a week, these guys are worth it because you can trust them. I’ll be going back for all my automotive needs.

I have taken a few cars here over the years, and they gave the same high quality care to my beaters, that they have to my Subaru for the last 17 years. They do great work, for reasonable prices. I have been going here for over 25 years.

These guys are amazing. I live out of state and my daughter goes to school in Omaha. When her car was having issues, we brought it here and Randy and his team took care of everything without any pressure to address unneeded services. Theyre honest, professional and timely. I only wish I could find a shop like this in my home town.

Ive been going to Auto Specialists since I was a teenager. My Uncle told me they were a reliable place that did honest work. Ive occasionally gone to other shops and regretted it every time. Now I wont go anywhere else. They do great work, are very friendly, and wont jerk you around or treat you like youre below them because you dont know anything about cars.Theres usually a wait to get your car looked at, but theres a reason for that... People know its a good shop that does honest work.

After getting run up onto a rail we called and they sent a flatbed tow truck to help get us get out. Derek showed up and was able to shovel underneath the car and use the hydraulics to lift it off the rail. Huge thanks to Derek and everyone at auto specialists.

Randy and his staff looked at my car and called back with a 3k-4k estimate but then let me know he called to check on my warranty which covered the repair that took it upon himself to call GMC certified dealers that could do the work under warranty. He gave me with the name and number of the service department that could help me and let me know my car would be ready for me when I was ready to grab it. All while dealing with power outages from a storm. Wow - Im blown away with the professionalism and courtesy they showed me! Especially as a first time customer. They have my business for life!

I took my car here to inspect a rattle on my front end. I scoured google for the best mechanics in Omaha, and this was consistently a top recommendation. Randy was very friendly and took the time to show me the problem and how they were going to fix it, without making me feel inept. The service was top notch and the pricing is very fair. I will be taking my car and my wifes car here for any issues we have.

I had the engine replaced in one of my cars....now I have nothing but problems. Took the car to another mechanic that stated whoever worked on this car last CUT EVERY CORNER they could possibly cut and used CHEAP parts. Took another car in...mechanic said that there was antifreeze in the oil and the car needed a new head gasket....been driving the car for 3 years with no repairs and since then I stopped going to Randy and his ripoff mechanics. Thumb down.....definately.

Took my car in because another place said I needed new tires, shocks, and struts. That seemed fishy to me, as my car only has 50k miles. Auto Specialists agreed on the two back tires needing to be replaced, but found that the suspension was fine. What it really needed was a realignment. Now it rides smoother and quieter than I thought it could. On top of that, Randy is maybe one of the friendliest car guys out there.

Randy and his team had to work on 3 of our vehicles the end of last week and Monday of this week. As luck would have it, something needed repair on all three one day after another. Randy was very accommodating by taking our vehicles in right away. His service team did an excellent job on all three vehicles. Thanks guys!!

Randy is an exceptional person to talk to. Hes personable, and very kind. I had an antifreeze problem with my aging pickup, and I gave these guys a call. I described my issue and asked when I could take it in to have it looked at. It was a Monday, and I was told they could look at it on Wednesday. I had classes and work all day then, so I brought it in later on Monday. They were finished much earlier than I expected, a day early in fact. Their prices were very fair. It didnt feel like I was being serviced when I was talking to the guys at the front desk. It felt like I was being helped by people who genuinely care. That is something very rare to experience at a mechanic. Ill be suggesting Auto Specialists Inc to anybody I know with car trouble in the future.

Have always been real helpful when I needed something done.

From a customer service and friendliness aspect, these guys are pretty good. However, had we gone through with our fix, we wouldve been out $860 and no closer to a solving the loss of power we explained. They charged me $140 to diagnose a check engine light (which we already did, and told them). All 6 cylinders mis-firing even with all brand new spark plugs. They do a compression test to determine the van needs a Valve Adjustment to the tune of $860. Had they even looked at the ignition coils? Nope! I mean a bad coil would certainly have symptoms of shaking and power loss as we explained!I contact DSA Performance in Lincoln, NE and speak with Kyle. He stated, even if we do a valve adjustment, they would only charge $525. Whats more, is they discover Coil #4 was bad, and simply needed replaced. THIS SOLVES THE SHAKING AND POWER LOSS! NO NEED FOR A VALVE ADJUSTMENT TO THE TUNE OF $860! GTFO.Im amazed of the # of rave reviews of this place. Im hoping this was just my experience and that of no-one else. Lesson for me: Stick with trusted DSA Auto Performance in Lincoln NE. They are simply the best.

Ive gone to Randy and the guys for about 15 years now. Even when we had moved about 45 minutes and two towns away. Excellent service and they always do a great job on my car. When I have an emergency, Randy always gets me in pretty quick. Ive always felt like Ive gotten a decent deal with his techs. I even go to him for all my tires and my oil changes.

I wont take my truck anywhere else. Period! They have had a couple of opportunities to screw me and they didnt. Nice to see a place that values my repeat business over one time gains. They have definitely earned it!

Ive had a few incidents where I needed my car back ASAP and they have always done a good job of fixing my car quickly and doing a good job. Id recommend them to anyone who needs repairs or general maintenance.

My car will sometimes stall in idle so I towed my car over to the shop. As a person who doesnt know a lot about cars, I appreciated that Randy didnt charge me when they couldnt find a significant problem with my car. I will definitely bring my car back in the future if new problems arise.

Our daughter is in college in Omaha and we live in Lincoln. She recently had some trouble with her Mazda and we initially took it to the dealer. We were told repairs would be $900 - $1000 then $1400 - $1500. We drove the car to Auto Specialists and dropped it off Tuesday after hours. By 3PM Wednesday the car was repaired for less than $200. Talking to Randy on the phone felt comfortable and honest. Saved us several hundred dollars. He even offered to look at the problem area every couple of months if our daughter would just stop by with the vehicle. It is very refreshing to find this kind of service for our daughters vehicle.

I was quoted $1900 for one wheel bearing, rear brakes, and a muffler on my 2000 Buick Lesabre at another shop(wont say names to avoid drama). Auto Specialists has been helping members of my extended family for years so I scheduled an appointment with Randy for a second look. Two days before my appointment, my power steering dropped out so I babied it over to Auto Specialists and left it with them. Within 2 days, it had been looked at, and I was given a substantially lower quote from Auto Specialists for them to take care of more and keep me on the road. What a life saver! This is the only place I will take a vehicle in Omaha from now on. Honest, friendly, and trustworthy.

I called and spoke with Randy to get some estimates on some maintenance work on my vehicle. He told me that he would call me back that day to go over pricing. He never called that day. I proactively called again and spoke with him the next day and this went on three days in a row of having to call him. Never returned my call after several days when we spoke three days in a row. Terrible customer service.

Quickly and accurately diagnosed my Hyundai and it is driving like new. These guys are honest and do good work at a fair price.

Their website states they work on rotary motors. I inquired to know how much it would be to redo the motor due to a bad apex seal. I received an email with only, we dont do rx8 models. Ok then why does your website straight up say you do. If you lost your mechanic then just say that. Id hate to take my car here if they lied about something as simple as this.

Horrible experience with this shop. This is a long review, but please read it if you are considering bringing your vehicle here.I made an appointment and the soonest they had available was 3 weeks out. I read all of the great reviews of this shop and thought I would have a great experience with them so I decided I could wait for them. I brought my truck in the night before my appointment and dropped it off.The reason I brought my truck in is I had a knocking sound from the front end, and at home I jacked the truck up to examine the ball joints to find that the passenger side ball joint was visibly loose.At 2pm I called because I hadn’t heard from them yet, and they had not looked at my truck yet. At 330pm Randy called me to explain that my driver’s side ball joint was bad and all of my sway bar links were bad as well. I explained to Randy that I had jacked my truck up and that the passenger ball joint was loose. He put me on hold and came back to tell me that it is tight and doesn’t need replacement. I figured he was wrong, but trusted his judgment. I decided to have just the driver’s side ball joint replaced for a total bill of $350.I got the truck back and jacked it up at home to find that the passenger side ball joint is still visibly loose. I remembered I had my front sway bar links replaced by Jensen Tire about 12 months ago so I called them and brought my truck in right away, but only mentioned the sway bar link not the loose ball joint. Within 30 minutes they called me to tell me that only one of the sway bar links were bad and they would replace it for free. They also mentioned that my passenger side ball joint was “very loose”. I asked how much they would charge for the ball joint and it is $80 less than Auto Specialists. Plus they had it done in two hours without an appointment versus waiting 3 weeks and having my vehicle there for 2 days.I feel that Auto Specialists didn’t do a good job troubleshooting my vehicle, are horrible at organizing their day when it comes to taking care of people who made appointments 3 weeks in advance, and are overpriced by 35%.I will not be going back to this shop again.
