We’re done. So many of us are done being silent. Morgan Property is the worst management company in the city. They don’t even have an office here, they are in Pennsylvania. So they don’t even actually come here to see how bad it is. They just cash everyones checks. They did come two months ago and in a panic the local managers planted flowers, replaced grass (all dead now), installed handycap signs, and made repairs that were years old. But after they left it went right back to being disgusting and neglected. This is their definition of luxury. Day 9 walking by this dog disposal. This is their normal response time. And we pay pet fees, amenity fees and trash fees. Grass is all weeds. Pool bathrooms closed all summer. No public trash cans so everyone throws trash on the ground and in the lake and it’s not a gated community so trash is from outsiders that walk around the lake every day. The few public benches outside are rotted wood, no picnic tables or places to gather. Van parked in Carport for months has flat tires and no plates. Kitchen appliances have been on a patio for months, rained on and birds and squirrels on them. Looks like a junkyard. And they will probably put the appliances back in that apartment. The sidewalk around the lake is so thick with goose poop it’s not walkable. They have equipment to clean it but never use it. Last time was when owners were here months ago. Girls in the office are the worst and always rude. They never follow through on service calls. They just drive around on a golf cart yelling at the old people and people at the pool and peoples kids. When we had a huge city storm last month and lost power and had damage, they didn’t check on anyone. They don’t like residents in the office, they don’t have any community events, they didn’t do anything during Covid except tape up a mandatory mask requirement in the buildings. The windows havnt been cleaned in years. We used to have a large maintenance team and full time landscapers and it was well maintained and beautiful. Now it’s embrassing to tell anyone we live here. The Morgan family would NEVER let their parents live here. They ignore all of us and their years of bad reviews. DONT put your parents here. The office girls will treat them badly. Morgan needs to hire managers that will actually do the job and take care of the complex and residents. It’s clear the current ones can’t or won’t because these managers have been here for years! Get new managers!! You want to show you care? Send a survey to all the residents that the office managers have no access to. Call past residents and ask why they left. Call current residents and talk to them. We pay you on time. We take care of our apartments. We are good tenants. We deserve better.
I appreciate Mikes timely response to my maintenance request. He showed concern for my request and stayed on the job until it was complete.
If you are moving in from a nice place just brace yourself to see many tacky details in your apartment and in the common areas. A great old structure, too bad it is being used by people trying to eek out every dime. I dont even know where to start. lets start with air, it will be hot in the summer unless you luck out and get a unit with a functional A/C unit. Prepare for battle. Get ready to deal with seasoned game players that know their schtick. Like the other lady said, advocate for self, it can be exhausting. Lots of bugs too, its a buggy place with all those cracks and humidity, gross, we had all kinds of bugs, makes me sick just recalling it. The office people, I know they know better. The grounds look awful, no flowers anywhere except around the front office. All kinds of janky broken handles, fixtures, things fell off into my hand the first day. Lastly, the keys barely worked, getting in and out was at times a challenge. Now, the good part is they have many nice people living there. The shops nearby are great.I think the office does try, I would guess their upper management has them on a budget, not sure. it would be great to see new owners really restore the place. it is rock solid sound proof, warm in the winter and has spacious units.
I am so pleased with the service I received with the maintenance department. I had some water damage from the last big rain and they checked it out as soon as I submitted a work order. They did everything on a timely basis. And I’m very pleased with the out come and how they cleaned up and even put things back in place for me.
My husband and I have lived here since the end of April 2021. We moved in and the AC wasn’t working. They got it running cool air by the evening. Since then it has consistently gotten above 78-80 degrees in our apartment this summer despite keeping the window blinds shut, purchasing two fans, and purchasing a portable AC unit to at least cool the bedroom. We notified the front office and maintenance repeatedly over the last month and a half. They have come to look at it and then mark it repaired. When I have spoken with the manager of the property, she told me it is common to have it get that high in third floor apartments here for a variety of reasons. She also told me a newer AC runs the same as the old AC so it wouldn’t matter if they replaced it. I was also told by the manager it will get cold in the winter, which was not mentioned during my walk through or signing of the lease. I feel like a broken record, constantly email and calling about AC unit.I do not recommend moving in unless you are willing to advocate for yourself endlessly when there is a problem that makes your space uninhabitable.*Update: Shortly after writing this, they had an HVAC contractor they work with come and look at my AC unit. So far it is cooling the apartment now.I have given 2 stars. The building I am in has an elevator, underground parking (included in rent), trash pickup (extra charge included in rent), and fast internet (extra charge included in rent). There is a nice lake, but you can’t walk around easily due to the many geese. You also need to watch your step because of geese droppings. Their building need updated because the hallways are dimly lit, have peeling and scuffed up wallpaper, and discoloration. Inside the apartment, they are remodeling some with a new kitchen and bathroom at an upcharge similarly equal to brand new apartments. The pools are moderate sized and nice to swim in. There aren’t usually that many people. I have not used the bathrooms so I am unsure of what condition they are in. For us the location is great with easy access to the interstate and many outdoor areas to go to.
Do not move here. Only pro is the lake. Lived there for a year. The apartments are outdated and over priced. But my biggest issue is since I moved out I have yet to see my deposit back. It has been 6 months, I have tried contacting them on 5 separate occasions. Each time I was told my information would be given to someone higher up as the people in the office could not help as they could only see that I had a return check coming and they believed it was sent. But here I am 6 months later still with no check, no explanation and no return calls back from anyone. It was the same thing if anything came up when I lived there. They just passed the buck to someone else that couldnt be reached. When I did live there the pool by apartments was broken basically the entire time. The elevators went out in our building on multiple occasions. One time for over a week, didnt receive any information when it was down, had to track people down to find out when it would be fixed, and didnt receive anything for our troubles. There were numorous people over the age of 70 in our building with walking disabilities so I cant imagine what they did. The building mostly smelled like mold whenever it rained, The hallway curtains were from the 70s, I think you get the idea. Cars were constantly being broken in to and they just would send out an email reminding people they werent responsible. From my experience you are just an occupancy quota number to them that they need to fill.
As ALWAYS, the Regency Maintenance Team is the BEST EVER!Thank you for your timeliness, and expertise! Well Done!!!!!Regency Resident
I have recently needed to call maintenance for two different problems I was having. Staff took care of these in a quick and courteous fashion. Thank you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In Appreciation, C. Crawford
Maintenance is always prompt and Edward always gets the job done quickly!! We have never had any issues in the time that we’ve been living here (almost a year). It’s a great place for young families. My kids love taking walks around the lake and the pools/playground.
Pros: Moving OutCons: old appliances that need constant calls for maintenance, bugs in apartment, car break-ins every night, expensive, nickel and dime you with deposit, walking trails COVERED in goose excrement, pools are not cleaned regularly, argumentative office staff, I could go on and on but I think you get the point. This place would need some big changes before I would recommend anyone move in here.
I know this isn’t the apartment management’s fault, so I am not looking to blame at all, but I am looking to warn everyone who thinks about moving here. Yes, the location is next to the lake, but the geese are absolutely horrible. They wake me up at 3:30 am every single day, honking so loud and literally stomping all over the roof. They honk from 3:30 to about 8. I am a super heavy sleeper and even these wake me up. I can’t handle living here and can not wait to move out.
I requested the repair yesterday and it was done today. The guys are always friendly. Good job. Thanks
I really liked living in regency living right next to the lake was really nice. Although kayaking and other things would make it alot better. For the price this place is amazing. I miss living here. Very spacious and lots of natural light
I m very happy with the work that was done. The professional maintenance is done well every time. The people are also very friendly and very accommodating.
Edward our maintenance guy has done a great job at taking care of our area! He is always happy and waves if he sees us. Very happy to rent at Regency!
Edward is the maintenance man for my building. He is very professional and polite and does a good job. He answers the request in a timely manner.
I have lived at Regency Lakeside for 11 years and enjoy living here. I live in one of the high rises buildings and we have underground parking. We have security cameras. Garbage is removed from a garbage closet twice a week from all apartments. My apartment is spacious and, on the lakeside, I have a wall of windows. I have a wonderful view of the lake. My kitchen is 13X13. Maintenance service is within 24 hours. Regency Lakeside was built in the mid 70s. There are aging problems with the buildings, but the maintenance staff are always repairing problems when they arise. The management staff has always been very helpful. Restaurants, Whole Foods and Trader Joes are within walking distance. I have greatly enjoyed living here.
Ed fixed our problem promptly and efficiently!
We live in a 3 bedroom townhouse style apartment near the lake.5 stars: Maintenance only: Eddie, the maintenance guy is very helpful and knowledgable. He knows how to handle all of the jobs, and does so in a timely manner. He has a very positive attitude, is very polite, and always willing to help!1 star: Apartment management: The management office people are terrible. They never get back on any matters, are extremely rude, and weve been racially profiled and discriminated against by the people working in the front office (who once called the police on us while we were bringing up a maintenance issue). I would not recommend renting here, particularly if you’re a person of color.3ish stars: The apartments themselves are nice, and the lake is pleasant to live near. Its also very conveniently located. Removing a few points because of how difficult management is to work with, and because we can never find parking near our apartment since so many people come fish on the section of the lake near our house even though they dont live here.
I have had sometimes trouble dealing with strong winds, snow or ice.And without exception, every time this has happened, Ed has been around to help me out. He is a kind fellow, always ready to help out. Thanks Ed!And on the other hand, when things have needed fixing, he has done a very good job.
DONT NOT RENT HERE!! Just a warning if you move here and your car is out in the parking lot or the cubby type parking your car WILL GET BROKEN INTO. I lived here for a year and my car was broken into TWICE. The second time I had absolutely nothing in plain view and the windows were still broken out. Also honestly the apartment was over priced for how outdated it was. The view was nice but honestly not worth it. The service elevator always seemed like it was off which was unfortunate due to Covid and having to wait for one elevator when someone wasn’t wearing a mask. Also wasn’t that happy when we got an email of a “break in” with no mention of elderly women assaulted and hospitalized in critical care or that a dead body was found in the lake until after the news already covered it. Overall extremely happy to have moved on and moved out from this place.
Edward is the man ! Best maintenance guy very helpful and super friendly!
Issue was fixed quickly and efficiently!
We have lived here almost 2 months and absolutely love it. Very quiet, beautiful view, spacious. Liz and Mari were so easy to work with! What more can I say☺️
The move was terrible the elevator was broken, the other elevator was stuck so it was 3 hours more for my move and cost me a extra 300.00 with the moving company.Nobody at the office seemed to care about the situation.
Thanks for the quick response and repair to get on heat back on.
I am staying here for almost 2 years now. Perfect location. Very nice management. I have had all my issues resolved within one day till now. All amenities are good. Would be great if you could upgrade the gym :)
Zeb at Lakeside Regency gave us excellent service on problems we were having with our washer and dryer. Very helpful. Kept us informed on progress of the repairs. Excellent people skills.
My 80 year old grandmother has lived her for a little over a year. In that time she had to have a total knee replacement meaning I had to move in to help her after surgery. Their very unprofessional office staff tried to get me to pay a couple hundred dollar fee to get my name on the lease for the few months I had to stay there. Not to mention that from last May to this April her AC did not work at all. To which their solution was to give her box fans and a dehumidifier. Would not recommend this complex to anyone.
My parents and sister live here now, and they really like the apartments. However, it is an incredibly unsafe complex. There’s repeated vandalism, and my parents’, sister’s, and my car were all broken into a total of four times with things stolen (luckily of little value). My dad’s car was stolen. Yet, even after all of this, they refuse to pay for any type of security (more cameras, security guard) after talking to management and filing complaints. Do not live here if you want a complex who cares about you and your safety.
The staff goes the extra mile and are extremely friendly. They are informative and are always willing to help with a comforting smile. What I love the most about the property is how beautiful it is. The huge lake is just gorgeous especially at sunrise and sunset. I wish I could post a picture at sunrise because it’s just breathtaking. One of my favorite things to do on Saturday is to wake up early sit out on my balcony and watch the sunrise while drinking my coffee. It’s the closest thing you can get to Heaven in Nebraska.I also love walking my dog around the lake. It’s just so peaceful. Everyone I come across while on my walks are so friendly. The people who stay here are just awesome. This property is so unique and there is no place like it in the city. This place gives you city life which is located right off of Pacific Street and literally less than a minute drive to the interstate all while giving you the feeling that you are living in the country. The wildlife that the lake brings is just beautiful!! I enjoy watching the geese swim on the lake and in Late Spring/Early Summer you can see the baby geese follow their parents around the lake.I don’t know if I will ever leave this place. I love it here.
Always a pleasant experience walking into the office. Liz and Mari are just the lovely faces I want to see. 👍👍😸
Great apt complex to live in...quiet and well built. Mari and Liz in the mgmt office are the best. They are always super helpful.
We had a maintenance issue in our apartment and within 48 hours it was repaired by Zeb, he was very courteous and completed the repair in a matter of minutes. He is a great addition to the maintenance staff
The apartment facilities are unique and of good quality.Pricing is also reasonable unless you find it go up $65 each year. No individually metered water and gas charge is a con. Maintenance they are genuine and staff are pleasing and polite. But maintenance requires patience and reiteration to have it done. But still the best. Childrens play area or common park space not there though you have lakeside joggers track. But other than the ones I highlighted everything else is commendable. Morgan properties can provide yearly complimentary shampoo of carpet for early renewals!
My elderly parents live in this building and today it was so hot my father could hardly breath. He tried calling and reaching the office all day but never heard back. It’s 100 degrees in the hallways, because they don’t turn the air on in the building, and it’s 80 degrees RIGHT NOW in their apartment. They just had a new ac unit put in too but it’s really hard to keep your apartment cool when the whole building feels like it’s on fire. It’s so hot, like I said in the hallway, that my father could hardly breath when he went out. And they are on the top floor, so it’s quite a ways down to his garage that he has to spend in the heat. It’s dangerous when you have elderly residents. I understand it’s hard to keep every apartment cool when it’s so hot outside but why not turn on the air inside of the building itself? It’s cooler outside then inside the building. Please PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE IF ANYONE WORKING THERE READS THIS. THANK YOU.I must add though that any other issue my parents have had has been answered in a timely manner and they have been happy with maintenance and the office up until this point. They think it’s absolutely gorgeous here, which it is. The lake is beautiful and they keep the pools nice and clean.EDIT: Next day and it’s 85 degrees in there apartment today. Office told my dad they didn’t know why the air isn’t turned on in the buildings and said it’s usually on by now. That’s the only answer they got. Oh and that maintenance had a lot of ac units to fix and they didn’t know when anyone would get around to checking out their apartment. This is a JOKE. MY DAD SAID THEY CANT DEAL WITH THIS ALL SUMMER SO A MOVE MIGHT BE IN THE HORIZON. MORGAN PROPERTIES WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON??? YOU HAVE ELDERLY PEOPLE SITTING IN APARTMENTS WITH 85 DEGREE TEMPERATURES AND YOUR WORKERS SAY ‘OH USUALLY THE BUILDINGS AC UNIT IS ON BY NOW. WE DONT KNOW! OH AND MAINTENANCE WILL GET AROUND TO IT EVENTUALLY!’ I AM SO ANGRY TODAY. THIS IS INEXCUSABLE!
Wow!, people couldnt have left any worse reviews. Im just researching apts. in the area for a planned move. This was a classy place in its day. Apparently that day has long past. The reviews caught my attention because most are articulate and informative. Ill have to keep looking further but Id suggest to the owner, that they take care of the tenants that are still there. Good luck youll need it.
I was seriously considering living here and were working with a nice woman named Noel who sent us lots of videos and information. I started with the oldest comments first after seeing the high ratings on other sites, trying to get to the bottom of why Google Reviews were so much worse when my fiancee pointed them out. Every single response is that comments have been forwarded to management. Then the next complaint is that management didnt do anything. Then that comment has a reply that says those comments have been forwarded to management. Repeat almost 20 times until within a month and the same thing is still happening. If management cant manage to handle these issues then the problem is management. Well be moving elsewhere. Thanks for the honesty, folks. Also, two $400 pet deposits for having two dogs AND $50 a month pet rent is ludicrous. Pet insurance is like $23 a month for a complex. Thats $1400 of additional expense for us as renters and just under $1200 extra profit for the complex. No thank you.
I have lived here for about 7 or 8 months. In my building, they shut off the water at least twice a month for maintenance. They usually post a sign on the front door a few days prior as a warning. Today, however, I went to shower and get ready for work and found that I had NO WATER. There was no warning sign posted anywhere. The rent is way too much for things like this to happen. I called the office about this several times (10:30 am on a Thursday) and there was nobody answering the phones. It is almost 1pm and I have not received a call back after I left a message. Luckily, I have a shower at work but think of all the people that dont! Also, the master bedroom in my unit is FREEZING in the winter. The vents are positioned on the ceiling right by the windows so the hot air goes right out the window. They do take out the trash for you, which is nice, but they dont take all the trash. It is quiet, there are geese and ducks but there is goose poo ALL OVER the trail around the lake. EVERYWHERE. Not worth the money at all.
I lived here for 3 years, and that was 4 years too many. As another reviewer pointed out, the location is the only reason I stayed in this atrocious place. We lived in the high rise building, which comes with a nice view and better construction than the other buildings. However, nothing had been updated or cleaned in years. The place was literally a 1980s museum. Sadly, this was not even remotely the worst part. The management here have to be some of the laziest people ever to possess an actual job. They lie, they steal, and frankly do not give one s*** about any of the tenants. I literally have dozens of stories that would make you run for the hills, but I dont have enough time or room to share them all... just trust me. Stay far, far, far away from this place.Oh and Kim, dont waste your breath responding to my review. I dont live in that hell hole any more, and I know you wont do anything for me anyway. You never did when I lived there.
Lived here for over 2 years and the rates have skyrocketed. I am now being asked to renew my lease at over a 35% increase from when I signed at the lowest, 12 month option, or I can start looking for another apartment and sign for over 45% for a month or two. Standard practice to raise rates as occupancy gets easier for the rental company, and I understand that, but 35% is pretty extreme.Old apartments, all appliances are fairly old, but work okay. The sinks/showers show their age, but work okay. Space is great, little to no sound from other apartments is also nice. Take out the trash for you, which is a nice little extra. All in all the apartments are nice, but nothing spectacular. for a a few hundred bucks more I could live in Midtown Crossing and get live events, concierge, a great view, and more access.Management is a little slow, but maintenance is great. Youll have to call them fairly often with all the aging stuff. Just a bit jaded by the terribly high rate increase, look somewhere else if you plan on living in the place for longer than a year, they will jack up the price.
I would NOT recommend this apartment complex. Although the staff is nice, it takes an act of Congress to get a work order taken care of. I called 3 times today for the same work order and its still not fixed! The apartment is completely outdated and way too overpriced for the things included. The main thing this complex has going for it is location.
After numerous calls to maintenance regarding the AC unit, my family STILL has to be subjected to 80 degree temperatures inside the apartment. As residents we pay entirely too much money for such subpar appliances period. I find the entire matter quite ironic, especially when you take into consideration the property apparently has no qualms about sending notices filled with veiled threats of potential fines when residents do not comply with their wishes. I wish my apartment did not reach a scorching 80 plus degrees!! Perhaps if the property is penalized by having to offer monetary compensation for every day my family has to endure this heat we would see some results.
I requested someone from maintenance to check out an issue I had with an electric outlet and lights in the kitchen. Zeb came in and took care of the problems . He was very professional and pleasant explaining the problems and the fixes. Very happy with Zeb
The regency lakeside staff is unprofessional and untimely. Im writing this review after several run ins with their staff. Our previous run ins include 2 broken washing machine which took months (and a destroyed floor and destroyed load of laundry) to be replaced, a part of the garage roof that caved in and was not fixed due to a lack of funds, a door bell/ buzzer that took an entire year to replace, a hallway light that also took over a year to fix and replace which is still dysfunctional, and disrespectful staff encounters. Most recently, a worker came in and identified that the noises wed been hearing in our apartment were squirrels that had made their way into our AC vent. He said hed be back the next day to fix the issue. Not only did he never come back, not a single staff member has answered any of our 3 voicemails. Our apartment now has an odor coming from our AC vent which we believe is linked to the squirrel dilemma. I am writing this to warn possible tenants and in a hope that the office will recognize a need for communication.I will include a positive statement despite my ongoing disappointments with the staff. The workers (when they do come) are always polite and work with your schedule. Theyve made comments about how its impossible to convince the office to invest in things like new washing machines. I trust that the workers do their best to keep tenants happy. I cannot say the same for the office staff.
We continue to thank Amy Smith for all the help she has always been.We call her when no one else responds and she always looks out for us as a tenant.Rich
Do NOT rent an apartment here. If there was an option to give 0 stars, I would gladly choose it. After living here for one year, I am thrilled to finally leave. My main complaint is the management, especially the property manager, Nicole Vogel. She is unresponsive, unaccountable, and irresponsible. Of course, she will post below that, she is sorry we had a bad experience, below, but that is a complete mockery of the rating system.Lets go over the negatives:1) Cars get vandalized and stolen on a frequent basis. When confronted about this, management said Well, the residents are leaving their wallets out in the open.2) Our AC malfunctioned for 15 days before management did anything other than tell us that it was too hot out.3) Our door was broken for 2 weeks before anyone came by to fix it.4) I complained about our broken microwave 2 weeks ago and it still hasnt been fixed.5) Cockroaches. You can check my Google history. I never leave bad reviews. However, I would feel irresponsible letting someone rent here without telling the truth. Im sure Ill get a call from Morgan Properties HQ soon to fix the situation, but they had 11 months to do that.Regency Lakeside Apartments gets 1 star because the lake is pretty.Management gets 0 stars because they make living here miserable.
Garage Door fixed quickly -- once again, Regency Maintenance team came through quickly. Thanks for the super service. Craig Lutz-Priefert, Broadmoor Court at Regency.
Nicole in the office is fantastic. Had an air conditioner problem. She followed up with the maintenance, and was back to me with an answer in 10 minutes. I have also had numerous positive experiences with Sharon which started with a pleasant move in process. We will be moving out Aug 9th into a house, but would definitely recommend. Please pass on my thanks to Nicole and Sharon.
I have lived in these buildings for 1 year. Just because I had agreement, else I would have left them in 1st month.I would give these people negative ratings iff possible. they never address anything right. They heating and cooling system in these building is worst. it gets either super hot or super cool. You will never get a utility bill less that 200$, its not because you have used it. It is because they have this worst systems in place. Ask this with any active resident and they will tell you this.My car was stolen when I lived there, management didnt even react to it.Ducks poop allover place. management never cleans lake.I gave so many feedback about their bad service no response or actions.I would never recommend any one to live here.PLEASE BE AWAY FROM THESE APARTMENTS. IF YOU STILL WANT TO LIVE THERE, ASK ANY CURRENT RESIDENT ABOUT THEIR RESPONSE AND THEN TAKE DECISION. AT YOUR RISK.
They collect the garbage fee but they could keep your garbage for up to two weeks and then you have to deal with it by yourself. You will not get your deposit back and you need to pay them for something they want to replace due to so-call damage although it is functioning properly. They do the inspection before you move out but they will not tell you what they will replace cause it will show on your final bill and simply put due to damage. You need to wear a wristband to get into the pool, they collect $50 deposit for every wristband, you can get you $50 back when you move out and return the wristband, are you kidding me? Seriously, you never want to move into an apartment like this, you will regret. To be honest, they really disgust me!
Very poor customer service and respond back from the management team. They do not know how to utilize common sense or multi task. All of them including their manager need some help learning how to take care of the residents needs and at minimum a 101 training on how to provide a proper customer service. The complex is great as long as you are lucky enough not to interact or have to deal with the management. Personally, I try to avoid them as much as I can. They are good people that has no business managing. Their parent company does have very low expectations!.
I would not recommend this apartment to anyone, especially after the new local management team on board. There are few reasons:1. It is not a safe communitee, my car window has been smashed twice in this year within 3 months. No camera or any security system deployed. No response from the staff.2. The staff normally did not respond to the tenants’s request.3. A new package room has been setup and you can not get product delivered to you room. You have to drive to the package room far away to pickup.4. You are not allow to even park your bike in you assigned garage.5. More and more...You will regret if you move in.
I would NOT recommend this complex to ANYONE. It is very old and the apartments look NOTHING like the photos. The office staff is terrible to work with. After calling the corporate office about the issues, they said they could resolve, the local office refused to fix the issue and said exactly opposite of what the corporate office said. I have asked for explanations from the local office, they explain and then next month there are additional charge. The took rent early when changing apartments and then charged that month again after moving. If I could give a negative rating, I would. I have told everyone I know how awful the experience is. Worst ever.
Horrible apartments!!!!!!! Don’t waste your money here!!! Bad quality and overpriced!!!! Listen people don’t rent here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maintenance responds very quickly. I love the location. All original appliances make for a very loud washer, dish washer, and old smoky range/oven. There could be updates like that and sidewalks/railings redone--but other than that, we have enjoyed our lease. PS--they have allowed the pool to sit stagnant thru September and now its a disgusting moss green color. :/
Ive been in these apartments for almost a year now and Im coming to the end of my lease. These apartments would only be worth the money if you manage to get one thats been renovated. The older apartments have numerous issues, and that in itself wouldnt be a problem if the maintenance staff bothered to help. When our AC wasnt working one of them literally lied to us about what was going on with it and did next to nothing to get it fixed, resulting in us paying outrageous AC bills while having never had a working unit! Not to mention out apartment has a serious mold problem. Theres standing water in the sub-basement causing it. Never taken care of. It was so full of spiders and mold the Cox worker couldnt properly hook up out internet, resulting in a much spottier connection. The location is great, and the lakes beautiful. The only problem is there are so many geese that if you park outside your car will absolutely get hit with poop every single day, not to mention its all over the sidewalks. Im not blaming Regency for the birds of course, but they make absolutely no attempts to clean up after them. For a luxury apartment that makes outrageous amounts of money every month youd think they could do SOMETHING about the state of the sidewalks.Parking is horrendous if you dont have a garage. (Only one allowed per unit, cant rent extras) Its constantly full on the weekends and you can sometimes expect to be parking pretty far away from your building. In conclusion; Regency is only worth it if you get a new apartment. If thats not available seriously dont bother. Its not worth the 1600~ for mold, shoddy appliances, outdated interiors, terrible parking, horrible maintenance and massive amounts of geese poop.
This is the absolute worst complex ever. I have had nothing but issues. It took over a year to have the entrance fixed, and when my mother tried to switch apartments it was horrible. The staff is impossible to work with, and wont give a written confirmation. Asked for written confirmation because the verbal conformation was not valid. The apartment hallways smell terrible and the upkeep is nonexistent. My mom lives here because of the lake, I would do anything to get her out of this mess. I would suggest looking elsewhere. You would not have a record of phone calls from my mother as she had a stroke and doesnt speak well. You have taken advantage of her and charged her incorrectly. I have told everyone I know about how horrible the experience has been here. You are lucky my mom refuses to move, my family would move her out in a heartbeat. I would NEVER recommend your complex.
This is a great place to live. Quiet. lots of trees, grass, has a lake. The management responds in a timely manner to maintenance requests.
We lived here for a year. There is zero air circulation in the high-rise apartments due to the floor layout. We came home every day to the stale smell of our neighbors cooking/hygiene/whatever. The gym was a joke with over half of the equipment not working for the entire time we were there. The staff do not seem checked in either. We were promised a phone for buzzing folks in but never received it. We were promised that the carpet would be shampooed before we moved in, but that never happened. We were told to paint the walls and do whatever we want to make it ours, yet when we moved out, they kept our deposit because we werent allowed to paint the walls. There was a mold in our bathroom, so we requested new tile. They just laid the cheapest vinyl tile over the top of it(is that even legal?), but then a few weeks later they bought about a $10k golf cart for the staff to ride around in. The noise from the interstate is pretty bad, even in the buildings all the way on the other side of the lake. And when we moved out, they suddenly decided that they wont give you the elevator key anymore, making a slow process even slower (the elevators are maddeningly slow). They also wouldnt give us an extra key(and the doors lock automatically when you close them), they raised our rent after our 10 month lease was up, and there was lots of water coming in on the walls when there is a significant storm. The damage from that water intrusion was also held against us as a reason to keep our deposit even though it would be impossible for us to cause such a problem.Long story short, there are much nicer apartments for much less money. Dont be fooled by the Regency name. Its a dilapidated building that has only received minimal maintenance since its construction in the 70s. The people that work there are checked out, which is just a sign of management not taking care of their employees in addition to not taking care of their tenants. Its just not worth your money.
I wish there were negative ratings because they deserve that, I would never recommend anyone to live in this place. Here is the list of problems most definitely you to come across (its not individual unit problem):Apartments are good sized, perfect location and great community around but very old, they have things breaking every often (mostly sewer and water line problem which effects the whole building)Snow removal is really bad only the year 2018-2019 (they will be the last one to clean up), previous years were really quickThey dont have separate gas and water lines so they send the bill for gas and water with apartment rent basis the square foot of your apartment, so if you are living alone then you end up paying more than you will ever use. (800 sft to 1300 for 1 bedroom and 1000 to 1500 for 2 bedroom)They shut the water every week for half a day or more and the only notice they give is put a paper by the mailbox or inside the elevator with sometimes (mostly) about 12 -15 hours notice, If you take stairs you miss it and when you ask them they will just say its not their fault if you didnt look at the notice they put, basically every night you need to go to the mailbox or elevator to check if they have some plans to cause inconvenience and then you plan your day accordingly, I dont have a problem them shutting water to fix the issues but every often? and we live in age of technology so an email would be convenientLastly the most IMPORTANT one the most rude staff you will ever come across. The maintenance handy man are good but the leasing office staff OMG only if its a die situation you should call them otherwise its better to live with that problem. Everyone working there are frustrated for some unknown reason, no one has the basic courtesy or know how to talk with fellow human being. They care the least about the residents or in some cases potential residents too (my colleague was looking for place and he came by and the staff was rude to him, literary as if they thought he is brown so he could not afford living here, he told me about his experience and I couldnt agree more abt the staff, bitterly I see that happening more often than before).Morgan properties: if you ever care to read this or care about the residents living in this apartments, please fix the staff issues. Every human being deserves to be treated well.
I was looking into these apts. and am glad I read the reviews. It is also obvious that the staff is writing the 5 star reviews. Do you know every neighbors name? Thanks for the reviews.
PLEASE READ: I have lived in a few apartments across omaha; currently at The Biltmore which I enjoy. I want to address the CAR VANDALISM I keep seeing on the Regency Reviews; this truly is an issue that happens EVERYWHERE I have ever lived in Omaha. This is not a Regency issue, unfortunately due to people’s perception of Regency=Rich, I think they may be targeted more frequently, much like my parents West Omaha neighborhood. Criminals gravitate towards places they think people with means live.... and criminals also hit apartments because there are multiple cars in one spot and they know the cars are far enough away that the owners are less likely to hear alarms or windows breaking. This seems like common knowledge. what I find INSANE is that people are blaming management for this? I am not saying anything about the quality of management but I DO NOT SEE HOW THIS IS ALL ON THEM? We all have choices in life and if you choose to live in an ungated complex, leave valuables out and skimp on renting a garage then having your car vandalized is a risk YOU take.. Management could hire private security to cruise the lot like Biltmore does but cars still get broken into here. They could add better lighting to any dark areas but again Biltmore does that and cars still get broken into here, so short of management hiding in the bushes all night. It really falls on YOU to mitigate your damages. After having my car broken into twice at Lake Zorinski I made 2 small poster board signs that I kept in my car and when I parked in places where I feared theft Id put them in the windows..they read “All Valuables have been removed” I’m not sure if the signs worked or if a thief just hasn’t tried since I started doing this but the point is; Ultimately it is up to you to protect the things you own. Here are a few gated properties that are comparable in price to Regency; The Larimore (gated and underground parking)The Enclave, Wyndham Villas, Midtown Crossing and Tip Top Apartments.... I’m sure there are others...
I know there are plenty of negative reviews and I cant speak for anyone other than myself so, I wont try to discredit any of those. I will say, it seems unfair that some reviews are 1 star simply because they read someone elses negative reviews...give the place a chance or dont but, dont add to the fire unless you have legitimate, first hand experience. My experience with staff and management was always pleasant. Any concern or minor issue I had was addressed within a 24 hour period. The only real issue I had, that couldnt be easily addressed, was the thin walls in my particular unit. I was in an older building with somewhat noisy and inconsiderate neighbors but, management did talk to them for me.I did notice that the staff seems to be going through and upgrading some units, as tenants move out. They are also upgrading certain elements of the grounds, such as lighting. Admittedly, probably some things which are long over due but, the current staff has their hands full trying to correct issues handed off to them by virtue of being neglected for years prior. In short, my own experience was good...minus the thin walls. For the positive gains I can see, I would consider a new lease with them when I move back to the area.
I have lived here a year. It is the most poorly managed property in town. I am not just a disgruntled renter, I moved in because of the location and the plan was to have a nice apartment home in Omaha. The property has not been updated since it was built in the 70s. Appliances are the cheapest they can find, there is mold in our ceiling and the management has not appropriately responded, they keep spraying paint over it. There is frequently issues with the water heater and we have cold water. The lake is dirty and full of dead fish. The elevators dont work half the time and people have been trapped in them. There are several older people living here but it is not a retirement community, I think the management takes advantage of the elderly living here. I would definitely NEVER recommend it to anyone.
Yo-yo. This place will introduce you with a great price but then up the price when they feel like it. I stayed there 2 years and then suddenly they raised the price $200 per month. The grounds are pretty but unfortunately, dont plan on staying there for long unless you are prepared for the yo-yo.Also, I should say there are few children here and my experience leads me to believe they favor the elderly by management style over the kids. Also, a month to month lease is upsurdly crazy. If your lease ends and you have problems with getting a new place in time be prepared to pay an addition $500 over your year lease. After living here I feel taken advantage of.
DONT RENT HERE. The police are here several times a week. This isnt an exaggeration. This should be a public service announcement.Three cars have been stolen and many others have been broken into in the three months I have lived here.Yes. You read that right. But it doesnt end there with Regency Lakeside. The property manager is rude, defensive, and utterly incompetent. She doesnt answer phone calls when you have issues; as evidenced when our door was broken and hanging off the hinge. It took a phone call to corporate to have her visit and acknowledge the issue. Please keep reading because the worst is yet to come.Yesterday, I went to the lobby to see what Morgan Properties was doing to resolve the REPEATED CAR BURGLARIES.Her answer: It happens everywhere, and Residents shouldnt leave their belongings out in the open.I repeat. This is not an exaggeration. After telling me that Morgan Properties would not invest in security systems or personnel, she said that they would be posting signs to warn residents about the recent burglary spree.Where were those signs the last three months?Even worse, WHERE ARE THOSE SIGNS TODAY???It takes less than 30 minutes to print a sign and post it on every apartment entrance.Am I crazy for thinking this is inexcusable? This the most flagrant form of commercial negligence I have ever experienced. Here are a few other things you can expect if you rent here:1. An extra $130-170 in utilities because the air conditioning infrastructure is outdated and insufficient.2. A maintenance staff that has no choice but to throw its hands up when problems arise.3. The staff will give you shopping carts to take your groceries up to your unit. The same shopping carts that maintenance uses to carry and throw away trash in.4. A nice lake to look at. (there has to be something good.)Im a millennial and I have never made a review online. Im not exaggerating. This place is a joke. The property manager wont let you finish your sentences before stuffing words in your mouth when you complain. The only thing that keeps this place open is consumer apathy.I pray it stops today.Do yourself a favor and stay away until further notice. If Morgan Properties resolves these issue, I PROMISE TO WRITE A FOLLOW-UP REVIEW.The ball is in your court, Morgan Properties. Will you listen this time?
Management is very disrespectful. Dont go by their words when you tour the property. Once you sign the lease, they dont care any more and you are on your own. Buildings are old and have rats, etc. They charge ridiculously high money for gas heating as it is shared by the entire complex. It can be as high as $90 per month in the winter, even if you are try to save heating in your own apartment. If you want peace of mind, stay away and look at different properties. The beauty of lake is overshadowed by the horrible management and rude staffs who make false promises. The management is just horrible and if you need mental peace and a happy place to live, look elsewhere.
The worst problem here is the lack of protection – after several thieving, the whole region still has little monitoring cameras. Thefts even took place in the closed garage –The managements response is to prohibit tenants from placing personal belongings in the parking space.
What a garbage organization. I read all the bad reviews but signed the lease anyway because I liked the property and the location. Big mistake.
We were given one price on an apt and went back the next day and were told it has been rented. We looked at another one we didnt like and as we were leaving the agent said the original apt was available, she had made a mistake, but then she said it was 20.00 more a month than she quoted two days earlier!!The water is turned off every week for half a day and there is mold by the w/d that was reported a month ago in person at the office but is still there. Pieces of the walls near the garage elevator are falling out and the place is dirty.Do yourselves a HUGE favor and dont rent here. They have so many hidden feed! They pro rate your heating bill based on the size of your apt they say. But our hear was never above 70 and we paid through the nose. The water is worse. Its off for half a day almost every week and our last water bill was 62.50! I dont even do the laundry here most of the time!Insane. Thevwkevator hasnt been inspected in more than 7 years. The hallwAy carpets are too filthy to clean and the entryway leaks like there is no roof when it rains!
Couldnt rate lesser then then that there is no option. The worst place ever . Management is good for nothing other the collecting rent and saying no for everything. We requested them about taking care of upstairs neighbors who are still making thumping sound as i write at 2:11 in the night but management did nothing they did not even remember my complaint which i gave them in writing.Every now and then water runs out. Increase significant amount in rent every year. Trash is everywhere no good in cleaning. Garage door broke all the time. The favorite word for management is NO.They will only listen to you at the time of moving in after that they just treat you as third-class citizen.Be aware before moving in this place is crap. I am still here cuz of their lease policy but not for long.
I do not recommend this place.Cons:Theres a massive rat, bat infestation throughout this building. Ours looks like a very old one with lots of holes for rodent to crawl in and out through building walls. At night you can hear mice roam amok over the ceiling and boy they are LOUD! We had contacted the leasing office about mice problem, the response was honey youll be fine. So I got myself earplugs.Recently after seeing mice in the kitchen we got them to put mouse traps (lesson: they respond if your complaint is in writing) and it caught one mouse. First, they asked me to dispose it myself as no one was available for next two days. But I couldnt get to it without proper tools. It took numerous calls and 3 days to dispose the dead mouse. Now that we have treated the symptom, I feel its going to take them a while to fix the root cause i.e. identifying, plugging entry holes. Also, since we moved in, there have been two incidences of bat entering our apartment. These were dealt with more efficiency. But again, theres no guarantee it wont happen again. So unless youre an adrenaline junkie looking for wild kicks, or like skipping heart beats, dont live here.Pros: Good view of the lake, Location. That will be all.
I DO NOT recommend this place to live. Way too many other choices to live in Omaha NE. Unfriendly, helpless staff & maintenance is slooooooooow, not very knowledgeable and full of excuses why its not done. The only positive was living at Regency Lakeside Apartments, Trader Joes was close by and the end of my lease term.
As a business owner myself, I reluctantly leave a poor review for Regency Lakeside Apartments online. Weve lived there 6 weeks and never had a cool apartment. Weve left calls up to 3 times per week ever since we moved in and we have a HUGE electric bill for our air conditioner that doesnt blow cool air and never shuts off. They dont respond over and over again. They say theyll call back and they dont. I read another review and we had similar interaction with Noel and Amy. They say its just too hot outside. Sheesh. Really? The air conditioner should work. Last night, we brought our kids home and our apartment was 85 degrees. No cooler inside than out. We had to get a hotel room for our family. Our building smells like yucky, old carpet. I admit that the pools are nice, if they are open. They let residents feed the geese, and unfortunately, this likely adds to the massive amount of goose droppings around the area that are rarely, if ever, cleaned up off of the sidewalks around the lake. Just not a good experience. Poor, poor, poor, customer service. Might I add that the metal closet doors are ancient and ridiculous, the appliances, cabinets, carpet are all bottom of the line. Our countertop was literally taped on in a corner when we moved in. The garbage doesnt get taken out M-W-F like they say it will. Its awful. Im so glad we dont have to be there much longer.
I have had mold off and on for three years. I show the maint staff pictures of water damage in the master bathroom and still it doesnt get done. I told maint manager Pat that water is filling up in my dishwasher, sink, and utility room floor and his response is tell the folks upstairs to not use so much soap really? I have to purchase my own grass seed if I want grass outside my patio. and so on, and so on, and so on
Do you want to stay with rats in apartment unit/lobby/garage?Do you want to stay with house flies in your unit/ or bats?Building constructed in 1970s?You want to spend hours and hours working with maintenance people to fix oldest appliances?Do you want to save 20-30$/month by compromising all the above?just completed 10 months here by raising 11 maintenance requests. i am very unlucky and my lease just got renewed and i have to stay here because of that.Dont ask me how much they will change to break the lease ? that would be sad story.I just moved out and the staff squeezed $$$$ saying carpet damage charges. And my dear friends this they charged me after staying in same unit for 4 years . Stay away.
This place is the best if you like East Indian culture like I.Youll always be greeted by the rich smokey smell of curry permeating throughout your apartment.I love the East Indian population as they are about 1/4th of the tenants here.Dont forget about the lake which is a bird lovers dream. There a hundreds upon hundreds of geese.Forget about walking around the lake though as there is a toxic amount of droppings from these birds littered about the walkways and shoreline.Your dog will be violently sick if you try to walk them around. Also unfortunatley there is quite a rodent problem here so you might have a mice infestation in you apartment.Again though for me the $1500 for a 2 bedroom is worth it as Im able to smell like curry all the time.Dont hesitate and rent here.
The buildings are old and outdated. The plumbing is faulty, and I was constantly dealing with mold issues. These apartments are not worth the high rent they charge.
Worst, most non-existent management staff in the world. Manager is always either on the phone or on vacation. I cant even begin to count the number of times I was told someone would get back to me that day. Yet no return calls are made. AC has been out for over a month. Sick and tired of daily lies about fixing it.
Listen to everyones reviews, read all of them, believe them!!! I have lived in two cities and 6 apartments before this - these are the worst Ive ever experienced. The inside of the apartments are really decent but everything else is horrid. I have lived here for 3 months (moved out after a year) and have had multiple things break. More things than what I can list here. The office staff are disrespectful, passive, and unaware of their responsibilities. They feign knowledge of incidents when I can speak to the same office member about a problem 3 days in a row and they will pretend (yes all of them) that they dont know what were talking about, who I am, or what is wrong with my apartment. When we moved in, the window was broken and they told us it would be replaced within a week of move in (we reserved the apartment 1-2 weeks before we moved in so they had additional time as well) - it took 6 weeks. Our bathroom vent fan was broken - this took 1 day to replace; NICE! Our AC unit broke after a week - were not too picky, its whatever, we put a maint. ticket in. They checked it out same day as call. However it was still broken the next day. After around 5 calls to the office (we arent sure anyone actually came in after the first 2 visits, they stopped fulfilling maintenance reports) they told us the AC worked just fine and there was nothing for them to fix. Our apartment is regularly 80 degrees if it is hotter than ... 85 degrees outside. It does shoot out cool air and only cools the apartment when it is colder outside. But our electric bill just arrived at $280. But wait, theres more! Coming home a month ago my new neighbor downstairs introduces himself and asks if we have any water leaks? I reply no. The following day he tells me maintenance checked his apartment out and my shower is leaking into his apartment. Ok. Sorry!!! **My neighbor** then tells me not to use my shower until they fix it. I received no call from the office and no notes or information of this. We werent sure and used the shower for 2 more days until we called the office. They had no idea what we were talking about - but informed us to stop showering. 2 weeks (a week ago) into everyone being aware of the problem (and us sharing the 2nd bathroom shower), there was a note on the building door, water shutoff tomorrow for maintenance, etc.. We assumed wed receive notice when the issue was resolved. Nope. We have called 4 times to the office and had the same person (Samantha) 2 times (we have also gotten Sharon and 1 other). I have talked in person once to Samantha about this. They have no idea what we are talking about when we ask every single time. They ask us to submit a maintenance ticket every time and blow us off, in the politically correct way, after all. So thanks, but no thanks. The lease contract is extremely hard to break. For us, it would be around $4,500 to break the lease. There is mouse poop on our deck constantly without staff acknowledgment. The geese are kinda aggressive and the mile trail is poorly designed (it just ends without a full connection). Our fridge is leaking tiny amounts of water and our food in the freezer always has a thin layer of condensation water on it as if its leaking air into the freezer. The best appliance we have is a new(?) microwave. All kitchen furniture is quite old but functions well. Overall, you dont want these problems; you dont want these people. Spend the effort, keep looking elsewhere before youre committed to 12 months of this. I have 8 months to go. :( Edited for clarity.
My dad moved here and I am so disappointed. He loves the lake, but thats the only good quality to him. Personally, seeing dead fish floating all over isnt appealing at all to me. The geese are terrible with their droppings everywhere. They chase people and hiss at them. They advertise that you can walk around the lake, but you cant. The path doesnt go all the way around. The hallways arent air conditioned and are stifling on hot days. im not sure what the winter will be. He has had mice, which we had to get rid of on our own because they couldnt. The pool by his apt would always be locked and the front office staff didnt care when we told them. Rather than apologizing and fixing the problem, I was met with there are 2 other pools and its not an emergency other than Im sorry, well open it. She said she would have to call the guy at home to come unlock it. The bathrooms in the pool area are disgusting. There are no trash cans, so there is nowhere to put used diapers or sanitary supplies, which are just sitting in there. The office told me they couldnt control the tenants, but where are they supposed to put them?? Everyone gathered at the pool said the office staff is rude and not helpful. The pool is NOT heated as advertised. It is freezing! My dads lease said the pool was open on Labor Day and we went to swim with him today and it was closed. The water drained out!! Ridiculous! I cannot recommend this place at all. My dad will stay because he is 75 and doesnt want to move again, but I will have to work hard to keep him happy and comfortable there. The word regency implies elegance and doesnt describe this place at all! I wish I could give it zero stars! Kim: I never trust anyone who says, I have a call into . . . That is code for I did nothing. Update on 9/23/16: Nicole in the sites office called to get my fathers number (the resident) since I have been his representative in most matters. He gave them permission for this. Rather than discuss MY review with me, she called my father at work. Let me make perfectly clear that she wouldnt have known this review was about my father except we share a last name. My dad told me he was upset that she called. He said (and this is sad) that he doesnt want to GET KICKED OUT so he chooses not to make complaints. Nicole chided him for not calling more than once about the mice and attempting to get rid of them ourselves when their interventions didnt work. I thought it was highly inappropriate for Nicole to call my him and called to tell her so. She was immediately defensive, rude, talked loudly, was condescending, and kept telling me I wasnt the resident or on the lease. This after she called me in the past (as well as Sharon) almost all other matters and didnt even have his phone number! My review was MY review and not my dads. She then asked me, Well, do you want to know what your dad said about you? in a snotty tone like a grade schooler.. He said you overreacted. Again, my dad said he told her this because he wants to stay there to fish on the lake and is willing to put up with the problems. He still complains about them and asks me to call the office. I was at my dads apartment during this call. I ended the call because I was getting too upset. She then CALLED my dad after I told her he didnt want to be bothered with this. He didnt answer and told me to go above Nicoles head to corporate and complain. He wants no further dealings with her. The office staff is probably the main crux of the poor reviews on here since you have to go through them for everything. They have even responded to me with call corporate and complain. I dont know how they keep their jobs! So, thats it, folks! Write a bad review and get harassed and treated poorly. p.s. He still has mice.
I currently live here. I wouldnt recommend Regency Lakeside Apts unless you plan on never leaving. Its a retirement community apparently. Grounds are not well maintained. Structure and appliances look like they are the originals, which im sure they are. Its on Regency Lake. It is apparent that Regency Lake is better suited for dead fish than live ones. Come take a look, Im sure the smell will greet you before you get near this place. Oh and dont get on the elevators, they are not safe. i.e., the lawsuit with an elevator here. Problem hasnt been fixed. Come see for yourself, unless you are under 70, then dont come at all......
Have a question for the owner. Why does every single msg response say Ill make sure to pass those comments along and well get in touch with you. I wld like a phone call from the supposed owner and love to show him some pics of an incident that happened which put me in er and then took 2 weeks to fix after I walk in with blood on myself from incident. Even then nothing was done until 3 days later
In January of 2016 I was looking for a place close to my employer. I decide upon Regency Lakeside due to quick move-in date, move in specials and location. Biggest mistake I have made when it comes to housing. The condition of these units is extremely poor. Screws holding ceiling up are falling out, the carpet was falling apart within a week of move in it was in such poor condition, the kitchen and appliances are outdated to say the least. This property is desperate need of renovations. I am only in a 10 month lease so decided it was cheapest to just finish out our lease and deal with the poor conditions and lack of any respectful customer service. The trash fee and online service fee are already ridiculous enough when youre paying all utilities but it gets worse. The month of July I received a electric bill for $300 dollars which I assumed had to be a mistake since I live in a small one bedroom apartment that has not been cooler than 75 degrees. I immediately called OPPD to ensure this was correct and not a billing error of some sort. The OPPD representative confirmed it was an actual read and the bill was right. Thus I moved on to speaking with the leasing office to check on how old the unit was and if it needed replacing. I was told someone would come out to inspect the AC unit and apartment for any problems on either Friday or Monday. On Tuesday evening after no call or communication whatsoever with property management I decided to follow. I was told by Amy the assistant manager that she was going to follow up with maintenance because they should of left a note in the apartment. Here I am Thursday afternoon with no response so I decided to stop in the leasing office to check up on the status. I spoke with Nicole, who I must say in all my years is by far the least qualified individual to be running an apartment community when she has zero people skills. As she proceeded to tell me that bill was higher because of weather and her house OPPD bill was double this month too (she stated 250) did I mention for her house when Im paying 300 for an apartment but that apparently seems reasonable. She continued telling me the age of the unit didnt matter and that she could call OPPD which was clearly irrelevant as I had already spoke with OPPD. After asking her questions about what if any action was going to take place she continued to be rude and then refused to speak with me. I have lived in a number of apartment complexes and I would highly recommend any of them over this place no matter the situation. At this point it seems I can either deal with the ridiculous bills or pay the remainder of my lease in full and get out of this nightmare as quickly as possible! Save yourself the troubles, stay far from this place.
They refuse to trim the tree so their American Flag outside will not get caught.
After checking several reviews of these apartments it seems I am not the only one having problems with the leasing staff and living conditions. Its a convenient place to live due to the location. Its well lit at night and I feel safe walking the dog or to the car despite the rumors of theft and people being robbed at gunpoint. I have had several maintenance concerns and it has taken months to get them resolved, some of which still need attention. From what I understand a mouse infestation wont go away over night. The fly infestation seems to be getting a little better due to them finally fixing the water leak under our building that caused a gut wrenching stench for the bottom floor units. The smell only lasted for the 2-3 hottest months of the summer. Other concerns, water backing up in to my kitchen sink, bathtub (which left a very difficult stain to remove. It took maintenance over a week to get someone back out to clean it after the first guy couldnt get it cleaned) Rusty water coming out of the brand new washing machine when you start it. (came out twice to work on it, still rusty) The pool by my apartment is broke. I understand problems like that and can live with it, there are two other pools. What I dont understand is why they let the water just sit stagnant in the pool for weeks till they finally drained it. It was green and smelly. Something between the washer or dryer is ruining all my good work clothes as well. I cant figure it out. Ive been doing laundry for years and have never had this problem before. Ive tried different detergents, etc to no avail. The maintenance staff actually questioned my ability to do laundry and said I must be doing something wrong. REALLY?! I had a meeting with the leasing manager to address my concerns. I even sent an email letting her know of my extreme dissatisfaction for the terrible living conditions and what I would like to see as a resolution. In the end I was offered a $100 maintenance credit for all my troubles. I literally LOLed. $1000 worth of ruined clothes, rusty water, mice, flies, and a raw sewage stench for the summer is apparently only worth $100. I will not be accepting it because OBVIOUSLY regency needs that money FAR more than I. Extremely dissatisfied, and extremely disappointed. The property could be such a great place with the right people and the right mentality running it.Update: 9/16/14So... a regional manager did finally get in touch with me. However I was offered the same $100 credit and nothing more for all the headache, ruined clothes, and overall terrible living conditions and management in general. On a good note, the smell has finally gone away and the large biting flies are no longer an issue. They were replaced by gnats and mosquitos... UNGH!!! My neighbor across the hall is having the same issues with bugs and they tell me nothing has been done about it despite calling several times. I just stopped calling because nothing ever gets done anyway. I only have till November till I can get out of this place so I suppose Im stuck doing my time till then. Please for the love of god do NOT rent an apartment here! There are so many other better options. The only thing going for this place is the location. Trust me when I say its worth the extra few minutes drive from any where else, like say Plattsmouth, Gretna, or Blair even.
Outside the apartment looks awesome. But its an old apartment.
Worst worst worst ever stayedPlease stay away
This place is a joke. Don’t waste your money!
Apartment constantly flooded, maintenance just puts a bandage on it and leaves. Mold growing on bathroom ceiling, they will just paint over it. Outdated and overpriced
David Gonzalez i agree with u my air conditioner is not good my light bill is $150-$160 a month maintenance is horrible someone try to open my truck there is always a problem with the water they sht the water off since 7am is 4:50pm still waiting and there is no parking spot bcz some tenants decide not to use their garage so stay away from Regency Lakeside Apartments.
I lived there for 3.5 years.Cons:Rent went up almost 300.00/mo. from move in datePros:Floor plan
Good place
As everyone said, this is a very bad property and house facilities. Except for the five lakes that can be given to the lake, I am not thinking of anything better. You can imagine a property pointing at you, very disrespectful people as other people said, the management over here is terrible, we even got three times robberies in our building. Maintainers are really good. If you want a suggestion, then please Dont choose here.
