I am a current resident here and i have had problems since day 3 of moving in management is awful they will assure you under new management and promise new renovated units yeah well Thats what i am living in hall ways are left with junk every time they clear a unit they arent cleaned weekly nothing this stuff was left in my hallway for 3 months on top of that we have mold in our shower we havent used there is roaches/ bugs water damaged all these pictures are how we found this apartment we have contacted them they fail to complete they are getting to the point where they go into the maintenance requests and clear them as done but they dont contact me or even come by to fix it ive only been here since January RENT ELSEWHERE NOT WORTH IT AT ALL
I dont even know where to start. Was never shown an apartment or the inside of a building. Long story short we got our keys and when we walked into the building we knew we didnt want anything to do with this property. Our lawyer has been here to take pictures. We have a video of something nesting in our master ceiling. There are bats living in a hole in the wall outside our loose balcony. We found cockroaches and mold etc. This place has deplorable conditions. We also contacted channel 6 news who did a story on Legacy Crossing last year. There is a reason the dumpsters are full of furniture. Its called infestation. I have over a 100 dated pictures showing that this place is beyond dangerous. Literally here for 5 days and moved our stuff out already. Dont be fooled by the pictures on line, very dangerous living conditions.
Do not move there, This place is truly the worst. If you think this place is the cheapest you can afford youre wrong. I got a 2 bedroom townhouse with 1.5 bathroom, a garage and a large back yard for a bit under what you would pay here. You can do better than this dump
Until recently I’d lived in this complex for the better part of 10 years. When I first moved in the place was well kept and clean, management and staff were accommodating, and maintenance was swift. This was 3 management companies ago. Over the years the grounds have got trashier, office staff have been replaced multiple times, and maintenance response times and quality have declined sharply. They don’t fix anything, only patch and hope the issues disappear on their own. The office staff are doing their best with a bad situation but it’s not enough to save this place. Avantic is a bad management company and should be avoided at all costs.
I lived here from May 2012 until May 2021. I always paid my rent on time. When it was time for my lease to be renewed they sent me a letter stating they would not be renewing my lease so they could do renovations. They gave me only 28 days notice and with that small of a timeframe it was very difficult to find another place to live. I called the office to see if they could give me a bit more time and no one ever bothered to call me back. I never felt like the office ever cared for me as a resident. In fact, in October 2020, the main line to the building was backed up. We were unable to use the toilet since it was on the brink of overflowing (the tub was also full of water from the backup). When the office would not answer the phone so I could report the issue I walked down to the office as two of the office staff were walking out. They assured me they knew of the issue and a plumber would be out. We asked if we could use the restroom (it was just me and my daughter) and they just stared at each other. How inconsiderate to not even have decency to let your residents use the office restroom! We were without a toilet for at least 13 hours and the plumbers left behind a huge watery mess that we had to clean before we could use the bathroom again.Be prepared to be nickel and dimed on your rent each month. I was paying almost $100 each month over my rent amount for things like common area electric (as in the lights in the hallways), insurance for the building (they call it risk mitigation fee), admin fees, and pest control (even though they rarely came out).I would never recommend this place to anyone and I’m glad to be moved out.
Word gets around when you mistreat your tenants. Legacy Crossing feels the need to threaten their tenants with legal action when the tenants try to warn others and in the hope that things will change. That really just reflects poorly on management, not the tenants who are trying to improve their living conditions.
I just wanted to leave feedback on my stay at legacy December to April 2018. The office staff was awesome and I can say the same for the maintenance crew, they do the best they can. I would definitely recommend working with them any day. 5 stars and kudos to you all!!My reason of 2 stars would be, this place has so much potential if only the owners would re-invest into the property. If the owners continue to put off upgrades and adequate staffing I can promise the reviews will continue to lower your overall scores and the property will continue to decline. With so many apartments and rental income it’s very possible to renovate and make this place shine amongst the rest. This property also has great access to the freeway, Walmart, and next to a great elementary school.I have not so good things to say about the building, but will just leave it at this.Property owners need to pay a visit and start acting if you want to salvage your investment.Overall, property being not up to par pulls my 5 stars down to a 2.
Havent officially been able to move in yet(we are one week away), but they have been so accommodating so far, the apartments are beautiful, and staff is super helpful. Cant wait to move in!
This place will cost you more than you think. The love adding fees to your rent, the assistant manager is so incompetent im surprised she passed kindergarten. Do not move here
Place is not worth the money. I gave them a $200 deposit, and did not get approved for the place. They stated they would return the money in check formation. Also stated it would take a couple weeks. Well a couple weeks passed, and still nothing. Its now going on 2 months and NO ONE will answer the phone or tell me where my money is. This place is unprofessional, and the staff are disrespectful.
The 1.5 theyre rated is too generous. During my time there I dealt with horrible maintenance and management. Management got better when it went to a different company but it went from really bad to just bad. I had to send 14 day notices on 2 different occasions to get certain things fixed after waiting months to get repairs done. Theres better places to live in this price range. In my Drake voice.....dont do it, please dont do it.
This summer, several residents including me reported that we had mice drone late June on. Nothing was really done until several of us contacted the health department. The complex also asked if we had any ceiling problems/leakage. I sent them a photo of my inside ceiling that is starting to come loose and a picture of the black mold on the wall from the roof leak. I also have a toilet that will not fill the reserve tank. I have to flush my toilet by dumping a large pot of water in the bowl. Ive had a service request in from early July with no attempt to fix the problem. This was a great place to live when I first moved in 20 years ago, but I would think twice today.
Do not live here. My shower was broke since I moved in (reported it multiple times and they never fixed it) along with the furnace AND stove. There was also mold in the apartment also and they didn’t care. But when I didn’t pay rent one time they were at my door in a heartbeat to kick me and my 3 month old daughter out during a snow storm. Thanks mf’s. ✌🏼 DONT RECOMMEND
The only downside in my experience was that the pool didn’t open this summer, but due to Covid and other outside factors it is what it is. Overall good price and location
I live here now and it’s truly the worst apartment every, if you can move somewhere else do. We have been having problems with a leaking ceiling and today the ceiling fell on my elderly father in the shower. This place will kill someone. We can’t afford to move somewhere else eles. They have done nothing to help.
Worst apartment complex Ive ever lived in. Management is horrible. They refuse to take late fees off for a mistake their own computer system made. Roaches and bedbugs. I would never recommend living here. Beware.
We had squirrels in our walls.
Do NOT live here. I lived here for 2 and a half years. I moved out within the past month because my lease was over. They charged me 1500 for breaking my lease (not giving them 60 day notice even though my lease was over). Then they sent me a bill for 495 dollars for painting, turn over cleaning, and carpet cleaning, all of which would be done anyway (remember I lived there for 2 and a half years). Then I received the final bill and the statement on it states they will turn it over to collections after 10 days if they had not heard from me. I called 7 days after receiving the bill and was told they already turned it over to collections. This company is not above board in their dealings. Do not rent from Avantic, they own 3 in Omaha/LaVista.
My Roomate and I lived here a few years ago. I should have reviewed this place back then. They are absolutely terrible and Ive heard theyve gotten far worse. please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. If you are looking at reviews to see if you should live here, this is it do not do it. The show room is a hoax and probably the only place thats actually taken care of because no one lives there. The air leaks and costed us over 200 dollars for an electric bill. You wont save money here.
Terrible place read the reviews and listen. Maybe these bad reviews will embarrass them enough to fix these problems.
Was nice until new management took over. They are rude and inconsiderate. Very disrespectful and unprofessional when it comes to handling mistakes on their end. I was overcharged and almost evicted because of a mistake on their end. I have a family, and its my job, my duty to keep a roof over their heads and this place, before even looking into it, tried to tell me that if I didnt pay the money me and my family would be evicted. Luckily I was able to get in touch with previous management to get proof of what was actually owed. These people dont care about their clients all they care about is money. I would never recommend these apartments to anyone. I would rather live back in the project then to be here Ive never been treated so horribly. I have also heard some similar stories from three of my other neighbors two of which were from other buildings. At first I thought they were discriminating me from being on housing but then found out it was other people too who werent on housing. These people are just plain rude and that is all there is to it.
This place is horrible. Roaches are everywhere. We called and all they did was throw down a sticky trap the first time. They didnt even inspect the problem, which is behind our fridge. We have a newborn and a toddler and living with roaches is unacceptable and unsafe. We are currently looking for a new place to live since our lease is up soon, and somehow legacy crossing is screwing us over with that too! The new place we are trying to get in to had called legacy MULTIPLE times to get information about us living there, and they wont answer one call. The new place tried faxing legacy crossing too, and still got nothing. The management here is horrible, the staff is rude, and pest and maintenance are jokes. It took them 5 months to fix our leaking garbage disposal, and Im sure they will charge us for the damage to the wood that caused, even though it wasnt our fault. We have roaches, beetles, and all sorts of spiders all around our apartment; a leak in the foundation causing our carpet to get wet when it rains (We are garden level), all sorts of broken things they never came over to fix, oh and the pool was rarely open and functioning during the summer.Theres too many problems to justify living here any longer and we couldnt be happier to leave. They arent worth the $1500 it would be to break the lease. All we want is out at this point and for them to send our information over to the other places we are looking. Edit: pest control finally came to spray after a whole year of them not coming to our apartment. Still did not look behind our fridge which is where our pest problem is. Weve cleaned behind there multiple times only to find piles of roach poop. We did see roaches, so we assumed thats what it is, however the fact it keeps coming back after we clean pretty much helps with our assumptions. Weve given our 30 days notice and theyve given us a letter THREE times asking if we want to renew our lease. Its gotten to the point we warned our new neighbors here to move out IMMEDIATELY because it is NOT worth it!
I lived there for one year, it was taken under new management halfway through. The previous management was horrid, worst ever. The new management appears to want to make things better; however they are poor at keeping paperwork proper as they have tried to bill me twice for early termination even though I gave proper notification and they had to refund me over $1000 once, a month later they still sent me a bill for $2000 for early termination. I would not recommend.
If I could give this place NO stars, I would. These apartments need to be condemned and demolished. Please bring on a new management company, build the place from scratch. There are roaches everywhere, these are the most raggedy apartments I have ever stayed in. I can’t even begin to say how raggedy. Just please demolish these apartments. Do not, I repeat DO NOT move here. This is a warning, you will regret it. DO NOT MOVE HERE. It is disgusting! I just saw a roach and I almost vomited from the site of it. I repeat DO NOT move here. It is ghetto, the grounds are not taken care of. It’s sad because this is a nice area but the complex is raggedy as ****. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!
So happy to be living here, it is quiet and I am able to have a wonderful 2bed2bath apt with all amenities that fits my budget. Love having a waser and dryer right in my apt.I was a little worried about getting packages when drivers were not coming to my door, but the staff at Legacy makes sure I get prompt notices. They are so friendly. Thank you.
BEWARE! They kept my admin fee of $150. When I applied their disclosures clearly stated that if youre denied an apartment, they will return the fee. Lies. And after looking at the reviews, Im glad I didnt move here.
New management is really turning this place around. It is so unfortunate that they got all the baggage that was left to clean up from previous owners. Each day there is improvement so give them a chance!
It is somewhat ghetto but I can take care of myself and I like living here. Its not too expensive and its simple. But management is terrible. Once youre there they do not care. If youre trying to pay to break a lease, get a landlord reference from them, or anything, good luck. All they want is to get the most money from you.
Do not move here. It is a joke. New management!!!!!!!!!! They don’t fix anything, it’s just a joke. Needs to be demolished.Even the move out experience was horrible. Do not move here.
Please do not waste your money in renting any of their properties. They do not repair anything. For instant air conditioner and heater; when you call for it to be repaired, they will never come. Other things like licks and mold, they will still not show up to fix/ treat it. Poor management.
I have been waiting on getting my washer and dryer replaced. The management ignores calls and has closed my tickets twice saying it has been completed. My first 4 years here was great. But now the maintenance takes over a month to complete. The home office for timberland partners does not help either. When they closed my maintenance requests I was put to the back of the line again and I may have to wait for another 3 weeks or more for someone to look at my dryer again. The maintenance team are good with there job but the management team is really lacking. They control where the maintenance team will go and will choose who is a priority. (Usually their friends). If you choose here just know you have been warned. I do not have issues with bugs or mold like I have read about others but I do see that you will never have all of the amenities promised.
I moved in and thought I got a great deal. I was told Id have a patio and a fireplace, I got an entirely different apartment. No biggie. I then had CONSISTENT issues with my dishwasher draining all over my floors.... this was strange cause I didnt use it I hand wash... my linoleum tiles were peeling up and management and maintenance kept telling me there was no issues in the apartment.. i had video of it happening and showed them, they sent maintenance again who said I was using the dishwasher incorrectly. Again. I didnt use the dishwasher. My washing machine stopped working, and when I put a ticket in it took nearly a month to fix. Still not enough issues to bail on them I brought up how there appeared to be mold or mildew on the ceiling of my bathrooms... they painted over it as a resolution. As if that wasnt enough they threatened to evict me multiple times because they wouldnt accept a third party to drop off the check for rent. This place has bad customer service, and a bad environment, especially if you have children. Would not recommend. New management sucked too.
The office staff and the maintenance guys are friendly and helpful!
People fighting in the parking lot constantly. Pool closed all summer. Garbage and dirty diapers in the hallway. Bedroom ceiling leaked the entire year I lived here. Roaches. Wasps infested my balcony and no one came to spray or remove them. To top it off my boyfriends truck was stolen from the parking lot. Horrid, horrid experience. Management was rude for the most part, I think there were 2 ladies that were actually kind and helpful, the rest were rude and talked down to you. I wouldnt suggest anyone live here.
This place is a joke, and scam. They dont know how to manage their business. We leaved in this apartment three years, ever since we came in we had lots of problems. Our first maintenance request order took 6 months for maintenance to come and look at the problem, but didnt fix it right away. He claimed (maintenance tech) that parts are needed to be ordered to get the service back on. That took them more than a month before they get the parts needed. I would say, the old legacy management was little bit better then the new management who took over this year. One day I wanted to speak to the apartment manager, the lady in the front desk told me they manager was around and that I have to wait. She want to let the manager that a client would like to speak to you, I believe she knew who I was, she hide herslf because she doesnt want to speak to me; instead she ask a different staff to speak to me. My question wasnt answered at all. The staff who represented her was very rude and doesnt want to look at me. Another major problem is roaches infestation, man the roaches increased towards the end of our lease, we have reported multiple times, but we havent seen pest control specialist at my door. And yet we have been charged pest control fee every month. I wont recommend anyone to lease legacy. Its shameful company. Wait! They even started accusing my kids that they are throwing trash outside the complex. Trashes were everywhere ever since we started living there. They are quick to critize but slow in responding the issues that will impact their business or company. Please dont and never rent legacy.
This place deserves NO stars. I’ve put in several work orders for the same issue over six months and the order will be marked as completed without even being looked at. They’re constantly working on remodeling empty apartments but won’t fix something in an occupied one. They charged me an extra hundred something dollars on my rent and the manager never called me back to explain why. None of the people working here know what’s going on. Now threatening to evict over a few dollars.
I rented one of their “NEWLY REMODELED “ units. Come to find out I needed a new a/c unit! And this is the end of May! The manager even promised me a portable a/c unit for one of my rooms for the time being, but did her promise come thru? Nope. June 24th was when my a/c was fix. One of the ladies told me that I will be receiving at least a $300 credit, so I paid $600 for June’s rent. Come to find out they only gave me a $60 credit! So I received a $75 late fee and also $5 a day after the 3rd (July 24 and still adding $5)additional payment not received. When I confronted them about it. They’ll credit me an additional $150 but I have to pay the late fees. so pretty much they just paid for the late fees with my “credit”. They also said that I shouldn’t listen to what their employee told me! Really?! I also still haven’t received a mailbox key. Even the post office guys irritated with them. Very unprofessional place and I should’ve read the reviews first before I moved in here. I will be asking legal advice about this because this place was not apartment ready, especially when it’s supposed to be newly remodeled.
Pricing on the website was wrong when we applied ended up paying $690 a month for 1 bedroom 1 bath old model. Management sucks! They never fix anything. Ive been here for 7 months and they still havent fixed the things that needed fixing from when we first moved in. Pool has been closed all summer. Apartment building spelled like dog piss for the first few months. They never come in spray for bugs that we pay monthly for. So much needs fixing in my apartment that has been put off for months now! It cost $2,000 for me to break my lease.. just got a neighbor that likes to blast music and then office doesnt do anything about! I would not recommend these apartments for families! Im so fed up with legacy crossing my worst experience ever!!!
Do not move here, these people are crooks. Management is HORRIBLE! They were in the wrong and STILL trying to charge me. DO NOTmove here. Shady, just don’t move here. Money hungry, it’s just horrible. DO NOT move here. Worst apartment I have ever lived at. They need new management; horrible horrible!
This place sucks. They don’t fix anything. It is truly sad. Worse apartment I have ever stayed at in my life. Stay away from these apartments. They don’t fix things when requested . It is sickening. Staff gets rude. Take my advice. If I could give it a 0 I would. Place needs to be demolished. This is a warning
ZERO STARS IS DESERVED! Let me just say that I will be reporting this to the BBB. I have lived at this property for almost a year. Upon moving in, the first unit they tried to move me in to was roach infested. There were literally roaches every where, and they wanted me to move in. I refused to live in such conditions. I then had to cancel my movers, who I still had to pay, and wait another TWO WEEKS to move. They then offered me another unit that was updated and much better. Well, I let them know that the screen door to the patio needed to be fixed, there was a hole in my patio flooring that needed to be fixed, the ceiling in my master bedroom shower is peeling, there is a leak from the neighbors above me in my main bathroom and it leaks constantly and has ruined my bath rugs, the vents in my Grand daughters and living room do not work well, so throughout the entire winter, my Grand daughter had to sleep with me because her room was freezing, the closet door in my Grand daughters room needs to be fixed, the closet door in my master bedroom bathroom needs to be fixed, my faucet in my master bathroom leaks, my dishwasher needs to be fixed, there is a stain my living room carpet that needs to be fixed, AND TO TOP IT OFF, MY DAUGHTER SLIPPED IN FELL IN THE BATHROOM WHERE THE LEAK IS! I found myself talking her out of getting an attorney to sue the property, but why should I? Now she has been having these pains and is trying to deal with it. I advised the corporate office of all of these issues over a month ago, and still, nothing was done. I even told corporate about how my 2 year old Grand daughter almost slipped and fell, but I caught her. I am unable to even have guests over because of these issues and my apartment is a liability and has too many safety risks. Due to the leak, my home stinks and I believe it is moldy. Now, my grand daughter has been diagnosed with bronchitis after living in this apartment. Are yall ready for another issue? Friday night, my daughter and her friend was over with my grand daughter, it was raining pretty bad. My grand daughter kept looking out the patio and told her mother it was raining inside. There is a leak all along my patio.... lets just say I woke up to a very stink apartment the next day. The property has new management now, but I disgusted and just want to transfer to Park West, their sister property. DO NOT MOVE INTO LEGACY CROSSING. THEY QOUTE YOU A RATE AND THEN IT IS NEVER THAT RATE, THEY DO NOT FIX THINGS, MAINTENANCE LEAVES BEHIND TRASH AND URINE ON YOUR TOILET AND THEY JUST ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL! STAY AWAY!
My bathroom is currently flooded, and my toilet and shower arent working. Even though this absolutely constitutes as an emergency, the office insisted that I “put in a work order” and that they “usually get there within a day.” Save your money people. This place is so trashy and ghetto.
This place is horrible. Yes they remodeled new floors appliances and everything BUT they go up on rent every month. I was told I would be responsible for my rent and lights. Then 2 months in they billed me for electricity, a utility fee, sewer, trach, gas, water, pest control and so on adding an additional 150-200 a month. My sink has been clogged since my 3rd month here, there is a fireplace that doesnt work, bug (roaches, spiders, centipedes, a mouse that I had to spend money to catch because they wouldnt come out). I have gotten sick twice from not eating because of the roaches. I have to go to other family members houses to watch or buy fast food just the sight of these roaches make me sick to my stomach. They want rent on the 1st you pay on the 5th you will be charged 75 late fee and 25 attorney fee its hard to get someone on the phone when you call the office almost always will be forwarded to the answering service who knows NOTHING. I havent had hot water for 4 months so I have to boil water for my family to bathe. Open tickets get closed out but never resolve the issue. Dont get me wrong the ladies in the office is nice BUT living here is a living hell. I pay close to 1,000 a month for a 2 bedroom with no hot water, every bug you can think of, a bathroom sink I cant use, and last winter my heater did not work. They just came to fix it a week ago because we are going into the winter months and I had to take off work to stay home to make sure it was fixed. Dont be fooled when you walk in the unit they are well pasted together HOWEVER once you move in maintenance is almost a figment of your imagination and if you are moving into an apartment to the the break on utilies such as paying rent and one utility... this is definately not the place you want to be because you will pay 150-200 thats taxes on to your monthly rent plus oppd. The frame of my door is all buster as if some kicked the door in at the time of move in the lady told me we ordered a door frame we are waiting to receive it that was in May 2019 here we are October 2019 still no door. The patio door does not lock I was told someone would come in the next business day to fix the lock so my dad came over with this thick piece of wood to put in the door so my kids and I would be safe until it was fixed that was May 2019 here we are October 2019 still not fixed.
I brought my wife, newborn and toddler to an apartment viewing appointment at 6 pm i get that is their closing time, but they booked it for us anyway and we get there and wait 30 minutes outside in 90 degree weather only to find out that there were 2 to 3 people inside who couldve came out and talked us. When they finally came out they immediately said yeah were closed so yeah. I am disappointed that you would make this appointment and not honor it but then also more importantly make my family wait in the heat for just those few words. In other terms management not good at all.
I was attracted to Legacy Crossing because of their remodeled apartments. I loved the fact that in a city of apartments that look exactly the same i finally found an updated apartment that offered hardwood floors, updated cabinets and fixtures. They advertised pool, tennis court, gym and a washer/dryer in each unit. Score right?Reality checkUpon moving in (after they took the rent and increased deposit quickly through an app) i discovered the truth.1. None of the amenities are real....the pool has no water and wont have any all summer, the lock is broken on the gym and no eta as to when it will be repaired2. A washer and dryer were the main draw to rent the apartment which i told the leasing agent before renting. After taking my payment on the app for move in she showed me the apartment which offered a gaping hole where the washer and dryer should have been. She stated they were on backorder and again no eta as to when they would arrive could be next week could be next year. After literally sobbing in the office in hysterics after being told by office staff they dont have to legally give me a washer and dryer and to go down the street and use the laundromat (hmmm i was shown the model with a washer and dryer, my lease said washer and dryer, the leasing agent stated washer and dryer) the maintenance supervisor took pity on me thank god and gave me an old unit). So okay i can deal even though i feel ripped off. But wait the story gets better. Next i found out you cant even get mail delivered here because every mailbox has a broken lock and you guessed it no eta as to when and if the tenants will ever have a mailbox. Guess i get to cancel my ipsy subscription as well as never see mail again. But wait the story gets better...my first night in the apartment it starts to rain. Every window in the apartment plus my patio door starts gushing with water coming in. The apartment flooded with water when the patio doors and all the windows were closed and locked!! The water was so bad the paint on the walls buckled! After calling emergency maintenance who finally showed up armed with just a wet vac, i was told report the flooding to the office staff..again no eta as to when and if it might be fixed....Lesson learned...
So unprofessional, immature and lazy!! Havent fixed my outside sliding glass door in 10 months. Its still messed up and wont fix it. Amongst like 6 other things they wont fix or do anything about. Please go somewhere else to save your time and money!!! I was warned and didnt listen. Listen to me lol!!! Joke!!!
The cops were there constantly arresting someone or settling some sort of dispute. Vehicles were broken into/vandalized/stolen frequently. There are cockroaches in every single building, they infest everything. I had to use very very very strong chemicals to keep them out of our area, and when we moved we washed and treated everything we owned to keep them from following us. But not before they infested all of our electronics to the point we had to throw them all away and start over: tv, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, radio, and other items.People with dogs do not pick up after them, there is dog crap everywhere on the grounds, and the only area that was free of it was directly around my building, as my wife and I would frequently pick up after other peoples animals.Management did little to nothing about getting rid of problem residents, and did nothing to help residents like myself that paid every month on time to feel safe. They have 1 really good maintenance guy, the others were quite useless.I even had a problem with them trying to charge me for water, sewer, and trash after I had moved out. They refuse to drop the issue even after we have gone over all the paperwork with them and payments weve made to them. I will eventually have to pay almost $100 just to keep the ding off my credit. Its just a way for them to rip off everyone that does business with them.I would recommend living under a bridge or in a shelter versus living in this violent, dirty, disgusting, and repulsive apartment complex.
If you dont mind roach infestation and the smell of curry all day (every day), then youll love it. This place is ghetto. No other way to describe it.
If If I could leave zero stars I would. We made a huge mistake moving in here. Everything sucks. They were making MAJOR mistakes before we even moved in and it has but nothing but total insanity and bull since weve moved in, has been alot of excuses, its been lost money found in someone elses account, ive had the same maintenance requests since I moved in, they never answer the phone, Ive called 25 times since Ive moved in and have spoken to the office 3 times.. they dont return voicemails either, the office is pretty unprofessional, theres always broken glass all over, dog poop everywhere, the apartments are barely redone before people move in. My apartment was and is a absolute joke to say the least and the list I gave them for things that wrong with the place was unbeliveable.Just do yourself a favor and save your time and money. The only good thing Ive noticed about this apartment is that a few of the maintenance men are super nice..JUST DONT MOVE HERE!!
The unprofessionalism that comes a long with inhabiting this apartment complex is monumental. The staff are disrespectful and liars. They are bad at looking into work orders and leave problems unfixed for months at a time. Do NOT live here if you can help. It is seriously not worth the trouble.
THIS PLACE IS HORSE CRAP!!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN GIVEN A SINGLE THANKYOU AND EVERY MONTH OUR CHECK IS LOST AND WE ARE CHARGED A LATE FEE!!!! When you try and call to the apartment complex, you will NEVER get someone on the phone. I have lived here for eight months with no reply or call back. All eight months I have not been able to use my shower because they came to fix a leak and just left a big hole in the wall and never fixed it.... LOTS OF EXTRA FEES EVERY MONTH AND IF YOU DONT PAY THEM THEY WILL THREATEN TO EVICT YOU WITHIN THREE DAYS EVERY MONTH!!!! I will never live here again nor should anyone else... not to mention the bed bugs...... and I had to pay $1000 out of pocked for the bed bug spray...... F this place...
Me and my girlfriend have been here for 2 months and the list keeps piling up of things going wrong with this place. We first were not able to move in on the correct moving date because they forgot to clean the carpets. Next we finally move in but the carpet in the master bedroom closets was never put in. Next the sliding door doesnt close right and is falling apart and letting cold air into the apartment during this cold winter. Our dining room light was just hanging by wires and our bedroom lights pull switch was missing so we havent even been able to turn our bedroom light. A month into staying here the heater breaks and our house is 52 degrees. Now were two months in and the carpets still havent been put in, the bedroom light still broken, back door is falling apart, and now our pipes have bursted and soaked the whole apartment buildings bottom floor. These past two months have been a headache and hell. The office will never answer the phone so the only way to get something done is to call emergency maintenance or go into the office and yet were still waiting. We also pay our rent on time and the first month they managed to somehow throw our rent towards the wrong apartment and say we owe a late fee?! I dont blame the maintenance I blame the office for a lack of ability to get things done. These apartments have too much wrong with them they were made for the 60s not today. Best way to fix this place is to tear down all the buildings and start new. These apartments should condemned. I have no idea how they pass inspection.
DO NOT THINK ABOUT IT!This place is a joke, theyll move you into a cockroach infested building then wait a month to give you options other than just having someone come out to spray once a week....but somehow is still a problem. Ignore phone calls absolutely avoid talking to a tenant or trying to resolve anything. Accusations of not paying my first month rent and raised the amount, I have my receipts and a copy of the paperwork when I moved in. I got rushed out of the office told I have to wait for a phone call when I can hear the manager in the back office. When I say this is kind of serious I want this delt with today, the reply I put urgent on the note.Whatever you do save yourself the trouble and the pain, please go anywhere else.
Thanks for the reviews. Feel like I dodged a bullet. Way too many 1 stars.
If you do choose to live here, keep great records of your rent payments and ask for receipts every time you exchange money with Avantic management. They provide electronic confirmations, but having a hard copy is absolutely necessary with this management. My husband and I received eviction summons because management claimed we missed a rent payment. Funny part is that our payment was in managment’s receipt book the entire time. We had our carbon copy of the payment in question and was able to match the receipt numbers, which proved they had our payment in their records. If my family didn’t have our record keeping together, we wouldn’t have been able to prove otherwise. Btw, they no longer provide receipts from a receipt book anymore. Go figure. Also, our rent was raised almost an additional $100 because Avantic’s own internal audit discovered they were not charging utilities properly from the time they took over management of Legacy Crossing. They blindsided many tenants with this one because Avantic failed to disclose explanation of the changes before rent statements were released. They claimed to not backlog utility payments but they did. At least for us, they backlogged from November 2018 not June 2018. Long story short, keep copies of everything, read your contract and any other documentation from Avantic thoroughly, stay on time or even early with payments if you can, and don’t depend on a management company to give you the whole truth while they are courting you to live on their property. Do your research. Omaha Tenants United should look into this property. I’m sure there are families here that could use the help.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. THEY LIE. THERE ARE ROACHES. DO NOT MOVE HERE. CARS GET BROKEN INTO. DO NOT MOVE HERE. THEY ARE NASTY. I FOUND A BIG HOLE UNDERNEATH MY COUNTER, IT WAS FILTHY. PLACE NEEDS TO BE DEMOLISHED WITH A NEW PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX! Spend the extra fifty dollars a month and move down the street. This place is worse than a housing project. There is mold everywhere, due to the fact that the plumbing is terrible, and Im sure doesnt meet city code. You can hear every word your neighbors say through the walls and floors. There is zero insulation in the walls, but theres plenty bugs. You cant use your deck bacause it is covered in beer cans and cigarette butts from the lowlifes who live above you. Dont bother having company over because the idiot across the hall shot off the fire extinguisher all over the halls and no one from management will do anything about it. Management is completely inept. Once you sign your lease you will not get a hold of them unless you go to the office and threaten them. So, if you want to get your car broken into ever couple months. Or if you like walking through filth to get home, you should move here. Basically if you are a woman with five kids and you are on welfare but still drive a new SUV, you will fit right in here. If you work for a living and have any dignity move on.
Blech!! Move here if you love paying hidden fees at upwards of 200/month EVERY month. I paid my pet deposit twice and even after paying it a second time, they still have no idea that I have pets and are looking to collect their pet deposit!! Horrible management and excruciatingly exhausting staying simply not evicted. They will charge you hundreds of dollars over your rent EVERY month and if you dont pay it, they WILL evict you and charge you three months of rent after youve been evicted. They are running a SCAM. Stay AWAY. - Dissatisfied Customer
I am a current tenant bound by contract. Sure to leave it once the contract is over. I live here for more than 4 years and last couple years their management has been messed up. The last best manager was Chris and since they fired him, most of the maintenance guys, and other follow the suit. They quit. Now all you see is every month new personnel who do not care about the residents AT ALL. All they care is money, they will suck money out of you.I read other reviews and wanted to post this review. These buildings are very old and their roof is flat. They keep leaking. It leaked 4 times already and they fix it temporarily. They never fixed the celling which looks like an inn in a ghetto area. Waiting to be repaired for more than 3 years. No lie.Maintenance is very rare. They have one guy, Only one guy and they have 360 appartments. Each given day this guy has over 100 maintenance requests to deal with and apparently he can not. In average you have to wait a month to get your simple maintenance work done. Complex work.....dont even imagine that they will fix it.I wanted to move out of this apartment where it does not leak, they would charge you $400 dollar moving charge. otherwise you have to wait until ceiling falls on your head (seriously, they said that....can not believe). No other way out. If you are terminating early, you got to pay 2 or 3 months of rents for nothing.Forget about their gym. they have 2 treadmills, one of which was broken before i moved in (4 years earlier) and it is as is till today. No exaggeration. There is no dumbbell below 25 pounds. Dont believe it? go see yourself.Pool is closed pretty much half of the summer because they have to wait for inspection or something else.Stuck....stuck....and stuck.Only one good thing they do it...........MAKE MONEY OUT OF YOU. VERY GOOD MOENY.
WORST APARTMENT MANAGEMENT EVER! They made me wait two weeks for no reason until I could apply and of course the rent jumped $100 by then. Move in day I wasnt able to receive my keys until 6pm and my apartment was still occupied by maintenance trying to fix issues. I moved out after 4 months and paid the entirety of my lease break fee just to be out of this place. I was the ideal tenant always paying rent on time, I was rarely home due to work and I am a very tidy person yet they charged me $100 for cleaning (I left the unit cleaner than when I received it) and $150 for carpet shampooing, except the carpet was brand new when I moved in so there was no need for shampooing. My final bill was never even sent to my forwarding address and after 14 days (it was only 12) my bill was sent to collection services, leaving me no chance to dispute the cleaning charges. I have never had a bill sent to collections! I would never recommend these apartments or timberland management to anyone!
My 1 year experience included; Dirty hallways, gang symbols painted and carved into walls and doors, no controlled access, constant door-to-door solicitation (including transients and people trying to sell stolen goods), my car was vandalized, my roommates car was vandalized, garbage (including dirty diapers) left in the hallways, broken bottles on the sidewalk, Section 8 hooligans climbing the fence to pee (and worse) in the pool, police regularly asking us have you seen this man?.I wouldnt live within 20 blocks of this place.
Very unprofessional, they dont fix apartment issues and they also dont keep up on snow removal for their tenants. Tried to help my sister move out and it was hell! Also, seen a lady almost fall down the stairs leading to the parking lot because they are covered in snow!
Legacy crossing has got to be the worst place to live. I have complained about the master bathroom having mold and ceiling leaking the maintenance has done very little placing a band aid over every request. I have complained about mice in my unit the level of concern that this company has is disgraceful, I pay 800 a month and to not have this resolve in a professional and timely manner is absurd. I have photos, videos, and documentation and plan on terminating my lease. My advice to anyone whos looking into housing with legacy crossing is to stay far away you will not be valued
*MONTHLY PEST FEES but no pest control comes into our apartments. Major plumbing and roach problem!!!They charge you a monthly pest control fee but pest control doesnt come into your apartments they spray in the main hallways of the building so they say but I still have not seen a pest control van. The roach problem is annoying and I didnt know until I signed my lease then I went to look at my apartment again before I moved anything in and my bf killed 8 roaches in an empty apartment in the daytime. That was a warning but my lease already signed. I have been paying their fee plus going to the stores buying roach motels and bait. They are hoarded behind my refrigerator judging by thats the popular spot to catch them in a roach motel. So gross bc the motel gets full before morning. I tried bleaching everything not leaving water in sinks etc they are just infested. I moved my refrigerator shortly after moving in and it was trash and a pile of dirt from a plant that was left from the last tenants considering I dont have plants. My dishwasher is backed up that water has been in there for months getting nastier. I have been complaining about plumbing for months with every room that had plumbing but maintenance only snaked one sink saying it should solve the problem. No! Its bigger than that hire a freaking professional plumber bc I am tired of my master bathroom smelling like a sewer when water comes up in my sink. Water comes up everywhere on a weekly basis. They are under new management and unfortunately for them the old management was sooo far behind and neglected people work orders that they are overwhelmed with catching up. If I get mold anywhere sorry new management but I will legally break my lease. This is beyond stressful to live in these conditions when you have children. I am so paranoid about contamination from these roaches its taking a toll on me. I can honestly say that I didnt know how bad it was til I came home one night and turned the kitchen light on and they scattered from all over the floor. I cried and freaked out! I cant get rid of my roach problem til they fix plumbing issues bc water will keep them around and my pipes are leaking regularly. Please new management complete the maintenance requests professionally and get a real pest control to come inside our apartments since we are paying a monthly fee anyways.
My family and I moved here in Oct and either Im naive or stupid, but so far we havent had any issues I would consider serious. I see all these bad reviews and now Im a little nervous. Our apartment is very nice. No issues. When I had issue with my bathroom sink and my other bathroom tub not draining, maintenance came right away. Our apartment is clean. No bugs. No critters. Were new to apartment living (our 2nd time) but we prefer the top apt to avoid problems like noise, bugs and critters. Works for us. The worst of our problems has been an old stove that all the burners dont work all the time. Maintenance has been by a couple of times about that, but its an old stove. Itll never work right. Weve paid a late fee once or twice, but our rent hasnt been anything like Im seeing on these reviews. $50 at the most. I am sad to hear that the staff that was here when we moved in (approx 5 months) ago is no longer here, but that happens alot with these big complexes. In bigger cities, staff changes about every 3-4 months. Were happy with our current situation and are hoping for a good summer here. Well see. The one negative thing I will say is that my daughter was told that she could use the gym after hours if she purchase a key card for $25. She attempted to do so and was told they dont know where they are currently. So Im under the assumption that the gym is for looks only. No one ever uses it it seems. That was a selling point for her. We have since joined Blue Moon. Weve made the best of our situation and it seems to be working for us so far. Well see what the summer holds. Peace and blessings.
One of the worst places ever to live. Office loos nice but dont be deceived apts are crap and need to be condemned. Many many times trying to get my apt fixed I was ignored. Our sink overflowed and rotted all of our cabinets they never fixed them and told me my rent would go up of I did. Screw this place
I would not recommend a first floor apartment, I had 2 break ins in the year I lived here. Maintenance took forever. Day before my move out my kitchen flooded from the washer in the apartment above me. We got everything cleaned up repainted the walls, made this place better than it was before we moved out. Only received an $18 check for my deposit back. It took them 3 months to get me the check and so much confusion afterwards. If you are moving out be sure to take pictures because they accused me for a broken fridge and drip pans. They were spotless and working properly but to them it was $125 worth of damage.
Worse experience ever, first time in my life i had to write a negative review. My floors had smooshy spots like waters been sitting on it for ever and they took carpet and it over it, wasp were so bad my daughter got stug by one in the winter time inside my house on new years of 2017, i also had bed bugs which i had to throw my newborns stuff away cause it was badly infested. Since i moved out early cause i cant have a newborn living in a badly infested apartment i got stuck with a fee for leaving early owing over 2100$. never received a break down what i owe they just sent it off to collections. called the front desk and they referred me over to them. I recommend no one to ever move in unless they want to deal with bugs, bugs, and more bugs and in the end have a headache and a big bill.
I have had a terrible experience living at Legacy Crossing Apartments. Before I moved in I was asked if I wanted a wet bar, or counter top in my apartment. I requested a counter top, and was told they would replace the wet bar before I moved in. I moved in at the end of August and it was not done. I have called weekly, being told each time a day that it would be replaced, and it still has not happened. They did not clean the apartment before I moved in. There was hair/grime all over the bathroom door, cigar tips and glass on the balcony, and dead fleas laying in the drawers...among other things. My keys were stolen out of my apartment door the first day I moved in, as I was carrying stuff into the apartment. I set the stuff down and went back for the keys two minutes later, and they were gone. That night my car was stolen from the parking lot. When I was considering the apartments, I had asked if there was a lot of crime and assured there was not. After the car was stolen, I found out they have security that patrols the parking lot at night. I find it interesting that they supposedly do not have a lot of crime, but feel the need for that.I moved in during a special they were having, stating I would get the first 3 weeks free. You receive an invoice each month stating what you owe for the month. From the beginning it has stated I owe $500 more than I am supposed to, because they have not taken off that free rent from the special they had when I moved in. I have called about this every week at least once. I am told the correct amount I owe, and that they will remove the balance...however they do not remove the balance and as a result I have gotten 2 notices of late payment on my door. Yesterday I came home to a paper in my door stating I have 3 days to pay the $500 or will be forced to move out. I feel I have been patient so far, but that was the last straw. It can no longer be chopped up to an understandable mistake. The woman who signed the notice was one of the ladies I have spoke to about the situation, who has acknowledged I do not owe this money!I have needed to call them about something gone wrong more in the 3 months I have been there, than I did in the two years at my last apartments. The apartment itself is very nice (after I cleaned it, since they did not clean it to begin with), but everything else is terrible. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We have black mold in the shower and we let them know about it 2 weeks ago and they STILL have done nothing but spray some all purpose cleaner on it and say they will be back. They have yet to return. We have been in 3 times and called almost daily with no response as to why it is taking them so long. The office is next to impossible to get ahold of. Our car was one of almost one dozen to get broken into a few months ago and they did nothing about the issue, stating they do not get involved with 3rd party issues. This place has been nothing but problems since we moved in. DO NOT MOVE HERE.
This apartment is hell. Waiting maintenance at least one month for washing machine as well as light. Has been two times.
Look elsewhere. Maintenance doesnt fix anything. They will come to your apartment point out the problem to you, say they will come tomorrow and than you will never see them again They charge unhidden fees. Id give this place a zero if I could. This place sucks
Save your money and time, these people are so unprofessional. Don’t let them fool you with them saying that they take care of MUD, and you only have to pay for OPPD. Believe me, you will end up paying more than you consumed. Office always locked, and when open you feel unwelcomed. Very disrespectful. Maintenance is sucks, had my bathroom sink broken with water all over the place. Had to wait for 2 week to get someone to show up after multiple calls I made begging for help. Had to fix it myself. They don’t take care of the snow ice. I fell twice trying to get out of the building during winter time. My ankle still hurts. You will be surprised about the among of unknown charges you will have to pay by the end of each month. Very old apartments. Moving there was the worst choice I’ve ever make in my life. That’s how bad my experience with them was.
I stayed in this apartment for past 6months and faced lot of problems in these 6 months ( roof leaking, washer n drier problem, etc) . I have given complaint to leasing office n logged ticket n talked face to face but no use they use to take 3months or 5months to solve the problem . Finally i fedup with these issues n vacated the apartment by lease breaking n payed lease breaking amount also .Very bad apartment n staff .
Reviewing apartments for a move. Cant believe a 1.9 rating with almost 50 reviews. Something is very broken here. Whoever owns this must take notice.
I see your pictures of the apartments not all of those are fricken true half the apartments Ive seen vacant are either newly done or still same old falling apart original looking furnituring and appliances but I will say the maintenance has had its ups and downs since Ive lived there but it isnt just their fault its the offices mostly because they dont tell the maintenance certain things that need to be done at all at times although I wish the maintenance would listen and not interrupt you when talking when trying to point stuff out to them that they missed or was promised to be done by the office in past managements at least two different ones said theyd replace the inefficient water damaged lighting and in the same building they had an electric fire jeez I wonder why water damage, old electronics, old wiring, windows leaking, rotting outside building, building offset, power surges when turning on certain lights blows circuit breaker seen two times bolt of electricity go between the areas that this happens in. I have heard from multiple people who live/lived here in person say roache, ants, mice throughout the buildings apartments not all the same price even though they are the same room size and everything like for example two bedroom apartments one with falling apart everything about 600 or so one thats not falling apart 900 or so like seriously same floor plans only updated which to be honest you should just update the building by tearing them down and rebuilding them because in current conditions they should be condemned
Horrible apartments!!!! Horrible management!!! They tried to give me a room with broken doors dirty bathrooms door hinges missing from the door! Mold in the bathrooms!! The furnace wasnt even on correctly!! Went to complain about it and manager says oh i walk through that room, you cant say that its trashed word for word what she said. Stay away!!!
I think they take section 8 so there are unoccupied teens and kids running through the building and being loud in the parkin lot using bad language. It is turning into the Projects, so if you can afford it please search for a better place to stay......
We are leaving soon and could NOT be happier. This place is straight TRASH. I wouldnt even recommend living here to my worst enemy. Maintanence and management are absolutely aweful. Our thermostat was broke and stuck on 80. It took them 7 MONTHS to come and replace it. 7 MONTHS. Everything else that was wrong (which is a god aweful amount of things) never got checked out. Our work order for maintanence was about a mile long. Pest control services are terrible too. Our building has roaches bad. And out of all the times our sightings have been reported, pest control only showed up maybe 3 times. And what they did still did not solve the issue as they only treated our unit. Its to the point where we were seeing roaches in the hallways at one time. So now we are worried about taking roaches with us to our new home beings pest control showed up and only did some units in one half of the building so now theyre crawling into all the other units to find sources to survive. Thankfully we never had any issues with our vehicles being destructed, but theres lots of people who have had their vehicles vandalized. We hear car alarms ALL the time. Parking also is very bad. Theres been more times than not that we have had to park all the way across the complex which was an extreme hassle with carrying in groceries while being pregnant. You cant get ANYONE on the phone to talk to them. You always have to go into the office and speak face to face about everything, and half the time their staff is never there, so youre waiting forever and a day to speak with someone. Most of the ladies are rude, and dont even acknowledge you when you walk in. But even with all the bullsh*t the residents have to deal with from them, and have very many liable causes to break a lease fee-free or withhold rent, they SURE AS HELL are knocking on your door for their rent every month, or charging $1500 to break a lease!!!! This place is a JOKE.
One star is too many. Both management and maintenance are horrible. Moving in was a complete nightmare, my apartment wasnt even ready when I came to pick up keys and my lease wasnt even typed up. I came at 9:00 and wasnt given keys until 11:00. My apartment was never even cleaned. I havent had a working dryer since I moved in 4 months ago. It took 6 weeks, it catching on fire and a call to corporate for them to get it somewhat useable. It took 3 months to get my fridge to stop leaking and it this point we stopped even putting in work orders bc it wont get fixed anyways. Our ceiling is falling apart and leaks every time it rains and has only been looked at once and the man said Oh yeah theres nothing I can do about that. The people in the office are rude and always have an attitude. I once stood waiting for probably 10 minutes while the 2 girls were just sitting there having a personal conversation.. I wake up this morning to a man standing on my balcony, which I was never notified of, with my door wide open. This place is a joke. You can call the office 30 times a day and no one answers or returns voicemails. Do not waste your time or money here.
Most horrible place to live at If I could I wouldn’t of gave it a one star we still currently live here and they want fix anything they make excuses so stay away from this place I heard they are gonna be shut down less then 6 months so please don’t live here I’m going to contact the property owner
LMAO the 2bdrm 2bath are higher then the 3bdrm apartments theyre raising the rent but they currently have an aspectis problem that they claim they just found out about they even told that to the news but I lived there 2 years ago and they where well aware of the problem
Great place to live!! Great people! Very community oriented! Great Staff!
My review keeps getting deleted but ill keep writing it. My review has little effect on this, because every single review is crappy. Keep deleting it and ill keep posting them. ANYWAYS!!! The worst place to live in Omaha. They lose your deposits, they lose your check EVERY MONTH!!! They charge you miscellaneous income fees, your rent is $640 a month on average and at the end of the month youre payong $1,100. Then if youre even ONE day late they send you a 3 day pay or quit notice. They lost our pet deposit and tried to make us pay it again. Their have 30 buildings with 12 apartment complexes in each one, on average they make $240,600 a month on JUST RENT, that doesnt include the extra charges they charge just because they can. They dont fix anything, they NEVER ANSWER the phone, nor give you a call back. It took them 3 weeks to fix our AC in the middle of the summer, our house was 85 degrees with the door and windows open. Do not rent from these slum lords. They will f you over! Sincerely, A really mad, law abiding, rent paying, tenant. Please delete it again so i can keep posting it.
HORRIBLE!!!! THESE PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN MY DEPOSIT, AND GAVE MY APARTMENT TO ANOTHER TENANT, WHEN I WAS TOLD 2 WEEKS AGO THAT I COULD MOVE IN. HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT MANAGMENT, BUT FRONT DESK LADY SAYS THAT THEY WILL GIVE ME A CALL BACK AND NEVER DO. HAVE WAITED ON HOLD FOR 30+ MINUTES ONLY TO BE HUNG UP ON AND TOLD THAT THEY ARE HAVING PHONE ISSUES. HAVE ASKED FOR MY DEPOSIT BACK, AND THEY HAVE YET TO RETURN IT OR MY CALLS. 2 WEEKS I HAVE BEEN WAITING!! THIS PLACE IS BULLSHIT AND SHADY!!!!
I am writing this review as a completely reasonable current resident of Legacy Crossing. I moved in about 3 months ago... although because of all the horrific reviews I almost didnt even tour the place. However, after looking at 5-8 other complexes in Omaha I ended up touring Legacy Crossing and discovered their apartments were HUGE compared to everything else in my price range, and included all the amenities I needed within my budget. So I took a leap of faith and decided to give them a shot, knowing that I would probably only be here a year either way. Im writing this review for anyone out there like me, who is wondering if they should take the risk of moving into this complex. Heres an account of my experiences so far:1. STAFF/MAINTENANCEThe first thing youll notice upon moving in is that the complex is significantly understaffed at all times. The day I moved in there was a constant line out the office door and I was seriously concerned with the mental health of the one person there handling everything himself. Maintenance pretty much isnt a thing here unless your apartment is flooding. I had a leak in one of my windows during a rainstorm and they fixed it the next day, though I had to clean up the puddle of water myself. All of the other minor requests that I put in when I moved in (caulking needing touched up, stain on kitchen floor, etc) were never acknowledged so I just took care of them myself. So the moral of this story is - if youre handy enough and willing to handle your own minor maintenance, youll be alright. If not, dont move here.2. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF UNIT/COMPLEXThe building is old. It has old building problems. If you want to live somewhere new go somewhere else. In general though, my carpet and paint was nice, as were the window treatments, and everything (faucets, drains, toilets, etc) worked just fine. Sometimes outside there is a bit of trash on the ground because it blows from the trash cans. The residents are nice. There are a lot of single moms, multigenerational families, and kids, but Ive had no issues with them. Parking close to the building is difficult after 8, but thats why I have a garage. All in all it is a perfectly fair price for what you are getting. As far as the extra fees go... I have not experienced anything unreasonable so far.3. PESTS CONTROL ISSUESThis is by far probably the BIGGEST PROBLEM AND MAIN REASON YOU MAY WANT TO RETHINK MOVING HERE. If Id known before I moved in, I may not have, and I considered breaking my lease for the first month because my apartment definitely had ROACHES. No fleas, bed bugs, or anything else mentioned by others, but roaches were a problem (almost exclusively in the kitchen) for the first 3 months. Roaches are a big issue in apartment complexes because theyre almost impossible to get rid of. Even if you eliminate them in your unit, they will travel in through cracks from other units and your work in getting rid of them will have been in vain. I have just now gone my first roach-free week, but I spent hours (12+) in the kitchen meticulously caulking EVERY CABINET, CRACK, CREVICE, AND HOLE I could find in order to seal them out. Pest control used to come every other week, but they now come weekly (per my request) and Ive been told they are going to every unit in an attempt to fully eradicate the issue complex wide, but we will see how long that lasts. All in all, you get what you pay for. Depending on what you need and how much DIY youre ready to take on, make your own decision about whether the great space/location is worth it to you. Best advice though is inspect every inch of whatever apartment you tour for signs of roaches (tops of cabinets, below sink, light fixtures) before signing a lease and know that if you see dead ones, you will have live ones within days. Unless, of course, you wait until I move out in Sept 2016... then my roach-proofed fortress is all yours :)Hope this helped!
This place is a joke, the manager threatens people with eviction notices, I feel bad for the maintenance folks because they try but the main office doesnt allocate the finances for the maintenance to get there job done. The apartment below us has had mold in it for months, they took busted pipes out and have yet to do anything to apartment below us besides put sulfur to cover the horrid stench of sewage. The rent is over priced for what you have to deal with when you live here. I wouldnt recommend this place on anyone, not even an enemy.
There is no option for zero stars, its better to live on streets rather than this place. Everyday I go to leasing office raise maintenance request but no one comes and it will never be fixed.
DONT RENT AT THIS PLACE AT ALL! MY CAR HAS BEEN VANDALIZED TWO TIRES ARE MISSING FROM MY VEHICLE AND THE LEASING OFFICE SAYS THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT? HOW ABOUT INSTALLING CAMERAS SO A CRACKHEAD WILL GET CAUGHT NEXT TIME & THEY HAVE MOLD THROUGHOUT THE APARTMENTS! I shouldnt gave a review but honestly people need to know about the MAJOR car theft that goes on
You guys have some stupid tenants that live there!! Who leaves a kitten on 2nd floor patio outside all day in the heat!?!?
Lived here last year management never once fixed anything we sent a work order in for. Got my cars windows got broken and they refused to look into at all. Never rent here!!!
All bad
Pool has never opened and tennis courts never maintained to play
DO NOT MOVE HERE, I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE. THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY EVEN WHEN IT’S THEIR FAULT. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
Staff is terrible. They will do anything to get as much money from you as possible. Mold is everywhere. Management is terrible. Rude. Worst experience of my life.
They over charge you and the pool never opens
New management is horrible couldnt find the lease that I had signed with old company in March resigned with the of course for more money and the was quoted $30 for utilities obviously that fluctuates and when we were billed it was $80 and the manager that we signed with is fired now because of things like this but theres nothing we can do because the lease is in black and white in averages maintenance ticket has been out for for 3 months now on dishwasher dont move here
Great place. Underrated.
BBB has this place rated F....move along
Terrible place to live and gross
