Although tucked away in strip mall, this is the first reasonably priced salon in the area since moving here a year ago. A cut was less than 30 bucks which is reasonable. Unlike several other places that asked for 2x and more for the same service.I was welcomed and was understood as to the kind of cut I wanted by Samantha who has been with this company for 10 years. This tells be she is well treated. This same treatment is passed forward to the customer.Minimalism would describe the salon style. Nothing fancy, no frills, and short on decorations. But when one is simply getting a cut and blow dry then fancy is certainly not essential.

First time Id been there in years. But both ladies working were very pleasant & friendly. The young lady that cut my hair did a fantastic job! I was happy to explain how I needed my hair cut, cause I have reall fine hair & its hard to find a stylist that cuts it right. Ill be going there again. Ty Hair Masters! 💯😁

So I arrived after short walk and I was told they wouldn’t service me.I asked for the mask to be provided but they said they don’t provide masks. I said I’m fully vaccinated so do I need a mask?They said yes you need a mask. Then I asked why don’t you provide them if you make it a requirement. They said they don’t provide masks but I can run down half a mile to Safeway. I’m on foot so I’m not going to run down there. I’m sorry we can not service you. And you can’t even be in hereI said are you sure your business does not provide spare masks for people who forget it or their employees? Your business can’t even afford to buy a box of masks at Costco?Why didn’t anyone tell me when I made my appointment over the phone?I walked out because there’s no way I was gonna let that person and mess it up too

My stylist was Allie (or Allison?) And she was amazing. I normally have a ton of anxiety when it comes to haircuts, but she made me feel extremely welcome. Even let my boyfriend sit next to me so I wasnt as anxious. She gave me exactly what I wanted and I had a great conversation with her. Will definitely me coming back 😁

I would not want to get my haircut there by that person.

I had someone call for me an apt and they were told 3:30 they had a opening, they were asked let me call you right back make sure you can do what’s asked. My apt was given away in 3 min to the next call after we we told them yes 3:30. Then i was hung up on when i called to ask for clarification on what happened. Great service👍🏻

I had an Appointment with Alana. She is an awesome, knowledgeable, professional stylist!! She asked a lot of questions to make sure that she understood what I wanted done with my hair. I had a previously colored my hair and she was very knowledgeable about what could and could not be done with any new color process. The haircut was amazing as well. She listened to what bothered me about my hair and found solutions that I am very happy with.She also waxed my eyebrows and they turned out perfect!!AA++, 10 out of 10, 5-Stars. Recommend Alana to everyone!!! Thanks for everything.

The place closes at 6 so my mom went in at 5:40 for a TRIM! Not even a wash or style. Would take 10 minutes tops and the girl refused service and LEFT AT 5:53 and locked the door!! If your hours are until 6, you serve until 6 LOL! Not professional. Lazy worker clearly.

My two boys just needed a little hair trim but at the end I was charged for 2 full haircuts plus they charged an extra $8 for sanitizing?! ($50 total with the tips).When I asked why, they told me that this is the company policy to charge the customer for that.I didnt see any written note, only the price list.I was very surprised! I believe any salon must clean their tools after each user for free!

I took my friend there for her birthday and for $25 she got a gorgeous shampoo, cut, and style that was amazing! Her hair type is very short, thick, and wavy. She used to have dreads but I cut them off for her and I took her here to get her hair fixed up. She wants to grow her hair out and the lady who saw us (I believe her name is Ashley) taught us about what kind of a cut would be best so her hair doesnt grow into a mullet. She worked with my friends hair so well to make it look as long as possible and showed her how to go with the flow of her hair to see where it wants to naturally part. We were both so impressed. And for $25??? That was a steal. Like I would expect to pay more like $65 for that kind of treatment. Great job! Thank you for making my friends birthday so special!

Two stars in generous for the experience I have had. Alana is the best hair stylist there and thats why this is a two star rating, on the other side of the things, I have called twice now on completely separate occasions to have a ombre dye. Last year for my graduation, and the present day. Last year, I made the appointment a week in advance to have my hair dyed for the ceremony. They sent me to all of there locations across town (rather than communicating with their branches) to find an appointment that had apparently never been made. I had to pay 300$ for a last minute dye in the mall do it was done on time! Back to the present day I made the appointment two days prior today and I had the same issue. I am not one to write a bad review but when it is a trend like this, something needs to be said for their organization and professionalism.

Think my hairdressers name was Alana. Was extremely nice & had great hair tips. Had my eyebrows waxed & she spent a good amount of time on them unlike other places Ive been too. Definitely will be coming back.

Went in to get a haircut 30 min before closing, I’m leaving to San Francisco for a few days and had walked to get there before they closed, wanting a haircut before leaving. There were two people cutting hair, and a lady at the register who greeted me, I told her I wanted a simple haircut, just wanted the sides trimmed and the top of my hair even. I was told I needed an appointment and that they weren’t going to fit me in and I can schedule one for another day. I understand I came in 30 minutes before closing, but I just wanted a simple haircut and you guys welcome walk ins. It was just frustrating to know I had walked there, there was someone able to cut my hair, there were 30 min before close, and I was told no. I normally have a fine experience and have gone there the last few times I’ve needed a haircut. Just disappointed.

I walked into HairMasters for the first time yesterday and got the luck of a same day appointment at 5:30 pm which was only half an hour away. I grabbed a quick bite with the husband and came back. I walked in and sat down and waited quietly and watched everyone interacting and saw the stylists working on a young boy laughing and making him feel at ease. The father was waiting in the area where I was on his phone. I smiled and kept quiet after all no one likes a nosy person. I watched as another man came in and asked for a hair cut appointment and seemed upset that all the appointments for the day were taken and left not making one for the next day. The stylist though was friendly and explained she would gladly make him one for the next day. He stormed out without a word or a no thank you.A few moments later my stylist with the cutest green/teal hair dye over her dark hair came to ask if I was Sondra Hicks and she even called me maam but she let me know it would be a couple of moments as she had to clean up from the previous client. She was rather quick and invited me back to her chair and asked me to set my bad and coat in the next chair which was in my eye view (this is comforting as a woman security wise) and she took inventory of my extremely long dirty blond (looks blond in bright lights but dark in normal lights) hair. She asked if I wanted it styled but I said no thank you and that I was just looking for a trim (adult hair cut) and she asked how much I wanted to cut off. I thought about it and said about 2 inches and after she looked at prior layering from previous saloons and how to bring it even she showed me where it would be best which came to 3 inches. We agreed and I loved how she listened and showed me how she came to her conclusion on why she said 3 inches by literally showing me my hair and the levels.She took me to the hair washing station and explained that cutting hair Wet has a greater elasticity than dry hair. Also since I was doing a straight haircut it was easier to get clean, precise lines versus a dry haircut which is more a curly hair how does it fall approach or what my husband got when he buzzed his head of hair.We shared stories while she washed and massaged my head and scalp during the shampoo and condition of my hair. I actually laughed and felt at ease and we talked about my kids and my husband too. She talked a bit about herself also but she was a great listener and it felt good to give a bit of advice to someone who was younger but so dang talented.She finished up my hair and blow dried it and put some hair serum on and explained how to apply it for when I decide to buy some. I took some photos of the hair cut appointment. She gave me permission to post them. Honestly, I hope she stays in Olympia because she is the best Stylist I have ever had out here in years. I hate having to travel to Tacoma or having to shuttle around just for a hair cut. I found a coupon for $4 for their sale they are having and I tipped her $10 because she was worth every penny.

There was one barber that I like getting haircuts from, however, I believe she is gone now. The prices are fair, but the quality of the haircuts are not that great. I feel like it has to do with the equipment some of the barbers use. I cant tell you who to go to, but just know that with each barber you go to the outcome will be different. Their fading skills are not that great. Like I said, there was only one barber I liked there, but I think she is gone. She had been cutting hair for a long time and thats what made her a great barber. Theyre all nice though!

On tuesday, August 14, 2018 I had a haircut from the cutter on the left 2nd station that is the worst haircut I have had in my 85 years. I showed her a picture of approximately what I wanted. A short on top but over the ear tapered cut. Also stated that when wet my hair shrunk when dry. She held up a piece on top for length and I said yes that would be ok. Well she started in the back, then the right side which ended up very very short. Then at on the left side which ended up just a little longer than the right side. All over is about an inch long with the crown 1/2 inch long. I look like I am getting over chemo treatments. She did not show me the back, which all other cutters have done, and when I got home I looked and it is so short that my scalp show thru. It looks like a child cut my hair. It has taken me 1 week to finally do this review without using bad words. She needs to return to hairdressing school for more lessons on hair cutting. She did offer to shorten the left side to match the right but I said NO, knowing she would goof that up also. I paid $18.50 plus left a $5.00 tip before I really saw what damage she did. Would be nice to get a full refund.

After reading so many negative reviews about walk-ins being a disaster I made an appointment online. Get a call that the appointment is now not available. If youre not going to accept walk-ins and not keep appointments then you obviously dont want business. Never been and never will be, apparently.
