First time here, Lucy was my nail tech. She is awesome! I walked in not sure what I wanted done, I like crazy stuff, she helped me figure something out and did an amazing job. This is my new nail place. Very satisfied. She also handled my eyebrow wax. Perfect!Pardon my terrible photos (and ugly fingersπ³)
8/25/21β¦Too shame to show a picture. For $35 I got my feet wet & polish changed definitely not a pedicure. I ask the receptionist was the guy new and he said βno heβs just startingβ¦no he was finished. I should have paid for the 2 minute soak & left then. Instead I dropped my head. This was the 2nd time supposedly paying for a pedicure at this placeβ¦.3 yrs apart. Itβs so convenient to home but thatβs not always best. They suck!
This is the second time Iβve come here.I asked for dip manicure. For some reason the girl did only a dry manicure.Cut me three times. Will not be coming back. Was coming here for convenience, but I guess Iβll have to make a drive to a better place. It sounded like other customers were having same issues as me.
Poor customer service. They seem to have picks as to who get service first. I walked in and was told to wait one minute as she was on the phone. Three women came in together and she instantly started to check them in. I asked was she going to check me in and she said yes, what you getting. Inasked why were they checked in before me and she said that they getting pedicures and then I was told it would be an hour before I could get my nails done and there were no other customers in the shop. Clearly they didnt want my business.
Quite possibly the worst fill in that anyone has done on the 20+ years I have worn acrylic nails. Bumpy, laid acrylic over cuticle, and cut cuticle with drill. Awful and expensive.
John was great. It was clean and fast. I will definitely be back!
The floors are completely dirty, and they have signs posted that customers need to wear a mask. My mother and I walked in and there are customers not wearing masks as the sign posted.
Rush job done on my Gel mani and pedi I came here for the first time for my birthday. I paid $90 for services that were not completed all the way. No foot file was use on my feet, and I had to ask her to clean under my nails, my cuticles were not clean/cut correctly. My gel nails starting chipping 2 days later. I still tipped her $10 bc I am a kind hearted person, but I will not be going back.
Sakura Nail salon on Church road is the best nail shop I have been to in years. The owners are extremely professional and actually tends to and make sure each customer have the same experience. Today Ana did my nails and pedicure and I am beyond satisfied. She takes pride in her work and was simply a fresh breathe of air on rainy day. I canβt wait to get back to see her. The drive was well worth the visit. I will continue to pass 20 nail shops just to get to Sakura.
They are horrible, I want my eye brow done, she did it half done and call another one,she came and she said Ill be back never get back.i have never seen worse spa in my life like Sakura do.ill never get back to this place .
Worst experience ever!!! My feet soaked for over a hour and still NO SERVICE. They skipped over me and put others in front of me. I asked to speak to management and no one seem to know how to reach him/her. Iβve never had an experience where I was discriminated against until I visited this nail salon.
My wife got a pedicure... and I got a happy ending... when we got home! Highly recommended.
Love how Lucy did my nails! Will be back when Im in town for photography.
I have been here several times. Have gotten manicures and pedicures and have not had an issue other than having to wait. So made an appt for 4 pm thinking it would solve the issue. My appt was for a manicure and pedicure. Walked in 15 minutes early and got sat in a pedicure chair. No one came over for an hour. The water was cold, the receptionist was on his phone the whole time and never checked if I would like anything to drink or let me know the wait time. Finally after an hour I asked for a towel to dry my feet and left. No apology, no nothing. Meanwhile there were women walking in and getting services. One woman walked in 15 minutes before I left and was seen immediately. I have been coming here for 3 years now and I will not be back.
Waited over an hour for pedicure then technician scraped an open wound into my lower ankle with the pumice stone and didnβt even touch the callouses on my heels. Another technician had to tell them to use the tool and go back to get the heels
Mel was very good love the way she does my nails...
The tech Ree was very rude and unprofessional!!!! She had an attitude the entire time. My nails are so ugly! Iβm highly disappointed! I donβt recommend and I will not return
Nails were neat and lasted a long time.
Only reason Im giving a 2 is bc the pedicure massaging was amazing but its the ugliest nail and toe painting Ive ever had.. i got there at like 2 and didnt get out till 6 something.. very disappointed in how my set looks, idk if they was just tired and ready to leave but that still isnt an excuse at all.. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone esp in the afternoon if that was the reason mine was done so poorly... update, manager recently called after seeing my pictures & review and said theyd fix it, which was nice, so we will see when I go back this weekend ..
I got my nails done Sunday and 2 of my nails done broke off back to back Iβm so mad π‘
Excellent service. I like that they spend time with and dont try to hustle you in out.
I picked this salon because it was closest to the place I was spending my Thanksgiving holiday. Shop decorated nicely, I was offered wine. The actual business of doing nails, TRASH. Mind you Iβve gotten my nails done the past 5 years so I know how to handle them. 4 nails broke within 3days, the gel PEELED off of my acrylic nails. A man did my nails. He was nice. I also donβt mind paying for quality, but they have no business charging the expensive prices they do at this level of amateur quality. I hope I can attach pics.
Would NOT recommend. I made an appt Monday for today at 430p. Why? Because I had plans and KNEW it would be packed. I walk in, asked what do I need. Told them I had an appt. They then ask me my name and what I was getting. I got a little annoyed here due to the fact that if Ive made an appt, I should be in the book with those exact details once I gave my name. But trying to be optimistic, I said to myself maybe he is just verifying. Im then TOLD where to sit, not walked to my seat or even directed. But the clerk sat down then pointed around the corner. Strike 2. I sit in chair and notice the lady I booked with is working on someone else. Any other place Ive gone too, once they find out their appt is in they address the client. NOTHING. She continues to work. Im now sitting in water going on 15 mins with no help. I guess they start to notice my patience is running thin and someone other than the lady I have an appt with asks me if I was waiting to get my nails and toes done per my appt or just nails. I told her Im here to get what my appt entails. She then says well she has 2 people in front of you. I dont know why he did that he knew she had them. I cut her off as I was taking my feet out of the water and informed her I could careless about the lack of communication between the two of them. My issue was with the establishment for its inability to hold employees accountable. If I set an appt I trump everything. Thats why appts are set. As I walk out with wet feet the lady with whom I made the appt with has YET to address me nor did the clerk as I left. And to make matters worse I was giving these people a second chance. We recently moved to olive branch and were referred by a friend. So we tried them. My mother and I acquired a fungus on our feet on our first and last pedicure. When I made my appt I let them know this. The clerk swore up and down that they use disposable everything. Well thats A LIE. And I witnessed it first had today. Not one pedicure bowl was disinfected after customers got up. And I saw 2! Looking for a reputable, CLEAN and UPSCALE nail salon in the Olive branch area.
I wouldnβt recommend just walking into their shop on Church Rd (call for an appointment) because you will be lied to and spend up to 3 hours in there waiting. They did an amazing job on my nails but the wait is crazy. When they were newly opened, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Now, this is my fourth time going there after waiting a few months to see if things would change but they didnβt. Therefore, I spend almost 3 hours sitting there just for a fill and nail repair (that they didnβt spend 30 minutes on). If I didnβt have to fix my nail for work purposes (not allowed to have broken/chipped nails), then I would not have stayed. Also, how is it that you have two locations but short on staff all the time when you know that you have a great amount of clients. I love how my nails are done but I donβt like being overlooked for other clients that came in after me without an appointment either. Please, work on hiring more employees and how to properly assist all clients in a fair manner. You will not get my service because of the unfair treatment but I truly wish your nail salon/spa all the best.
Very priced and slow
Highly recommend and will return! Iβm new to the area so didnβt know what to expect. My pedi and mani were great. She took her time and paid attention to detail. They were even closing up and she didnβt start to rush. I had a great experience.
Myself and my 2 daughters just left this salon. We had a BEAUTIFUL experience. Everyone was so friendly, personable, and kind. I highly recommend them π€.
My sister in law and I went to get pedicures. We were sat right away and began soaking our feet. After about 30 minutes we started thinking how weird it was that no one had started working on our feet yet. The lady next to us overheard our conversation and told us she had been waiting for 2 hours and still hadnβt been serviced either. We decided to just leave. Itβs understandable if they are busy or understaffed but someone should have told us this and said itβs going to be an hour or more wait. Instead we just wasted our time getting our feet wet.
This was the most unprofessional place of business Ive ever experienced. First of all, they have children working on clients. The nail tech that gave my pedicure was really inexperienced. Second, they didnt have the dip powder in the color that I originally picked so THEY suggested 3 different colors. I picked the one that was close to the original color. It turned out to be bright neon orange. I explained to the nail tech that I wasnt okay with the color and wanted to change it. The nail tech called another employee over and that employee tried to blame me for picking a color THE SHOP suggested. The manager was called over. I was never given an apology. The manager offered to fix it once she was finished with her client. That didnt happen. She sent someone else. Im still expressing how upset I am because I didnt receive an apology for the way I was treated. There was a nail tech behind me who asked me did I have a problem with a nasty attitude. We had words. Only for her to be a minor, trying to physically fight me along with another employee. We were literally yelling at each other. My friend and I were called ghetto and the minor said we always get that kind in here. If youre black NEVER EVER visit this shop. My experience was a nightmare.
I thought Iβd really like this place but I donβt. I told the lady I wanted my nails and feet to match. However she did NOT listen and they do NOT match. She also made my nails not even and did not paint my pinky toes. Very disappointed.
I went there to get my nails done and I asked the receptionist did they have a price list, she said no & asked me what I wanted done (you would think they have a price list considering the fact they charge a lot compared to other nail salons around the area). There was a wait so I didnβt want to wait that long, as me & my friends were walking out the door I hear the receptionist yell βwell looks like we have another chair openβ (when there was obviously a wait) very unprofessional & they were unpleasant as soon as we walked through the door & they do discriminate. Would not recommend.Edit To Response: I know exactly what location my incident happened (church road). And what does it matter if the receptionist was white or black there should be NO DISCRIMINATION felt from your employees towards any customer. Your asking me for the date yet you just said it was fully investigated. HOW ? You donβt even know who was there that day working as your receptionist but you say youβve fully investigated the situation ? CLEARLY you all are liars just like the other reviewer said . GET IT TOGETHER & just take the negative feedback instead of saying these such events never occurred because they definitely did. And she was Hispanic by the way.
The price is a little higher than other salons but my experience with them was wonderful. Nicole did a wonderful job on my nails, she interacted with me and not just her coworkers. I will be going back!
1st time here! Was very pleased. My Mom and I both got a pedicure and I got dipped nails. Before my pedicure started I let Sohka know I had recently had hip surgery so I cant move easily or quickly and that some of my feeling in my foot has been lost due to the surgery. She was AMAZING. She was very easy and kept making sure I was alright. She did a great job and the rest of the shop was super friendly! I will definitely be going back again!
Horrible experience. Nail techs donβt listen to what you actually want, they instead talk to each other. I was there last week, and the nail tech Jessica told me about the marble nails saying it was cheaper to get those instead of what I wanted, which was ombrΓ©. My nail tech Lucy HEARD her saying this, and continued to do my nails not trying to communicate with me, instead kept talking to Jessica in Spanish. When it was time to pay? It went from $50 to $75. When I told her, thatβs not what I was told, she blamed me. And Jessica denied saying it even though Lucy WAS RIGHT THERE. I was really disappointed because I thought Iβd found a place that was inclusive and diverse. Instead felt even more cheated and ended up with nail I didnβt want.
Sitting in the shop waiting on a pedicure and nails polished. There is one girl that seems to be doing all the pedicures and the other workers are working on the hand. The owner finished up and could have began my pedicure but instead she goes to the register. So I am still waiting until another employee is done with their client in order to begin on me.I understand she is the owner and perhaps pedicures are beneath what she chooses to do, but she could have at took another workers place and asked them to start on my pedicureNormally a pretty good experience; hence the 2 stars, but today not so much. At this point I am not even sure if Ill return.
Make an appointment. Youll be pampered and feel safe too.
They are great people. They like to get to know you like a friend . Treat you like you are one of the family. They do really good work. I have never had to complain about anything. Always smiling and always friendly. I would recommend them to anyone .
Great service! We walked in with a party of 5 (4 adults and a 3 year old). They got us all started almost immediately and took special care with our little one. She had such a great time! Definitely recommend!
By far the best pedicure experience Ive ever had! Better communication on pricing extras would be helpful though (I was surprised with $20 extra fee just for gel polish)... Otherwise, Will be making regular stops here.
This place is phenomenal! Impressed with service and atmosphere. Will definitely be going here from now on.
First time customer. It was a great experience. Shop was nice and clean. Very prompt and enjoyable service. I will go back.
I have been here several times, and they have always done a great job! I went to visit my aunt in Hawaii in December, and she complimented my nails, so when she came to visit a few weeks ago, I treated her to a manicure and pedicure here. She is a very picky person (which sometimes makes me nervous to recommend, LOL), but she said it was the best she had ever had! We both got dipping powder, and they did a great job! Oh, and we were walk-ins, and the place is beautiful and relaxing.
Love my girl Kim. She is so caring and takes her time. She does a great job.
Good service
I got my nails done and they where wrong but I did not have time for them to fix them. So I called Monday and they told me to come back in and they would fix them. I told them I could not do it until the next Sunday and they said okay. But then when I went up there to get them re done they tried to charge me full price. I will never go back up there again. My nails started popping off after a week of having them done and I did not work in that time because I am a college student. Will never take my business back.
If you believe in getting your money worth donβt come here. Owner/Manager has poor customer service. Had been coming to nail shop a while before I had a huge mess up done to pedicure and dip powder full set. The nail tech did not clean cuticles on feet; neither did they remove hang nail. Talked to owner/manager to get issue taken care of & was told they have done all they can do to assist. Top coat peeled off of nails as well the same day. Manager saw issue and stated thereβs nothing wrong with it.
First time in today. Did a take off and full set. Ifor the price I paid, I thought it would look a lot better than it does. They are crooked, uneven, and I have a bunch of gunk under my nails. They look terrible. π£ The shop was very well lit and clean. Just wish it would have been a better job.
At first it was a good experience. I went in for a gel manicure and toe polish change. My nails were great and when it came time for my toes to be polish a child who looked no older than 12 did my toes. Im not a mean person so I just let her do them but there was polish on the side of my toes and you can see the streaks of polish on toes. It looks like something I did. They are filed at a slanted angle. I just decided to go somewhere and get the polish change. I probably will not be back because of that.
The girl working the phone does not understand the terms for different services .... i asked about a fill in with gel polish and she said dip powder I repeated saying I need a fill in with regular acrylic powder and gel polish and I have my own polish she said it would be 45 for colored powder I said i dont want colored powdered and repeated myself again she said yeah its 45 .... i can go to multiple other shops and a fill in on a regular full set with gel polish using there polish is at most $33 .....they are way over priced
Had a Hot Stone pedicure here and it was amazing. Two days later and my feet still feel relaxed. Alisha is the best... Ask for her when you go in to get a pedicure.
Had an excellent pedicure from Alisha, who came highly recommended from friends. I felt like I was in paradise for a good hour. Got a Japaneses Hot Stone pedicure and it was amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Update: I went to the location on Goodman Rd. Lucy fixed my nails and they are beautiful and perfect. I would have given 5 stars but I still had to pay something like $25 dollars for the gel paint. Not sure why after paying $60 for a botched job. So in one weeks time Iβve spent $100 including tips. I would go back to Lucy though***Iβve been getting my nails done for many years and this is THE worst set of nails I have ever gotten. I paid SIXTY dollars for these and Iβve gotten waaay better job on a $20 nail job. They look like I stuck press on nails on. They are loose, uneven, too fat and not drilled, filed or buffed correctly. They are uncomfortable and everyday I am upset I went here and paid this much . I brought a picture from Instagram of what I wanted. Not at all like it π
I had good service the 19 year old who did my daughterβs pedicure was very Patient with my three-year-old who was not the most ideal
At first I thought it was a great nail shop. The staff were nice for the most part and my nails were cute. I got a fill because that is what I thought I needed. I leave and my nails begin to crack, more than one... I come back the next day and the guy was apologetic and he tells me it was brought to his attention the day before (the first time I came) that I needed to get the acrylic removed and get new acrylic. But instead of communicating w/ me about it he gave the guy permission to go ahead and do the fill. I had to pay for a repair... since then Ive had two more nails to break. Long story short its been 2 days and my nails look a mess two of them have broken and two of them have chiped acrylic. If your going to go there just make sure you know exactly what you NEED.
I have been looking for a shop where the employees listen to what the customer wants and Ive found it at this nail salon. This was my 1st visit but definitely not my last. She was great, she didnt do a rush job, all of the employees I had an encounter with made me feel comfortable and my nails look wonderful. Thanks Sakura Nails & Spa
I went for the first time and they got me in right away! They were very friendly and made me feel very welcome! My new favorite place!
My best friend, Alicia and I went here and she was treated not so good. Never recommending this place. Techs are rude and not accommodating.
Best pedicure I have had in a very long time. And I was able to make a next appointment. Perfect.
Great and friendly services. Had a manicure and pedicure done recently and it was wonderful. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to relax and be pampered.
3 hour wait for subpar nails. Was talked out of what I originally wanted by the nail tech Jessica/Jackie . I wanted Ombre dip and she recommended the marbel b/c it was cheaper. Ended up being $75 instead of $55. When I asked her she denied saying it and didnβt offer any help. SHE wasnβt even my nail tech. I spent 3 hours and absolutely wasted time. And itβs very pricey. Lucy was great but she didnβt offer a solution. She even heard her talk me out of it and said nothing.
Wife loved their service, nails were excellent. Highly recommended.
*Edited to respond*If your prices are the same or lower then I wouldnt have mentioned it. I actually get charged something different depending on which nail tech does my nails. I have lived here over 30 years and get my nails done consistently. I know the area. People lie and over charge often. Even your nail tech said the same things a few weeks ago when I was there. Not to mention his disappointment with how my nails looked. And your shop tech did it. Smh. At least she under charged it.I can understand building relationships, but if they are talking to each other and not me, its not building.I guess youre a liar as well. You said you looked at the reviews I left with other companies and, they are all negative Then corrected it by saying you do see some 5 star reviews. I didnt know there was a certain way I should be reviewing my experience. Please elaborate so I can do what best fits your needs. Basically I give a 5 star rating with no response or a bad review. #lieBut to explain my bad review. I wouldnt give it if my experience was not poor.I was a big fan but now I am not. Other than the ridiculousl prices I was annoyed by the non stop talking while getting my nails done. If you can work and talk fine but this guy kept stopping to look up and talk. Then their was a nail tech beside us doing a lady nails and he kept stopping to see what they were doing.
This was my 1st time here after going to a local spa in O.B. for 16 yrs. Services there became mediocre and rushed. Came here and Tia was awesome! She paid attention to details, she took her time, and we hummed music while I got pampered. I didnt feel like I was just another dollar made. They have earned my business!
Our first visit. We really enjoyed this place. The personnel was great. They did a great job.
Great place....Been there several times...Pay extra and get a leg and foot massage!
Bought my wife a gift certificate from her for her birthday. She absolutelyloves this place.
I have been frequenting Sakura nails since they first opened. I have always given them the benefit of the doubt, because I genuinely like everyone who works here and they do produce good work. However, I have found that in my constant experience, they do not produce consistently good work. Unless I am fortunate enough to have a seat in the ownerβs chair, I always leave feeling less then pleased. Due to my work schedule I am not always able to make an appointment, so I am normally a walk-in. Yes the wait times, can be a painβ¦but for quality work I donβt complain. But I went in Wednesday for a color change, and wasted 2 hours of time & money. Firstly, they were bickering back and forth amongst themselves about who was going to take me. Finally an older male whom I have never seen before started on my nails. He was very rough with scraping off my Shellac polish. I even told him that I didnβt think they had soaked long enough, but he didnβt seem to care. Instead he just used a drill to remove it. He then asked me what color I wanted and I showed him a photo of the color. He seemed a bit thrown off that I hadnβt grabbed my own color but never the less he went and grabbed the color and came back. Before he started painting, I reminded him that my nails had not be filed down, shaped, or anything and he assured me that it was best to do this after he had painted my nails. (Sure, OK). So he paints my nails with 4 coats of βShellacβ polish, lets them dry, then goes to wipe them down with the cotton pad and all of the polish slide completely off in full nail form. He looks at me and says βWhat did you do? Did you wash your hands with soap?β Long story short he used regular polish instead of Shellac so he had to redo my nails again, and at this point its 7:30 ish which is past closing. He rushed through my nails in the sloppiest way. Then he filed them down and shaped them afterwards which made it even worse. My cuticles were bruised and burning, my nails were misshaped, and the nail polish had streaks of uneven coats. He was apologetic, but offered no compensation, instead he just handed the ticket to the owner, who I explained all of this to. She simply looked at my nails, informed me to call and make an appointment with her next time, and then proceeded to swipe my card.Needless to say I donβt think I will be back. & it sucks because they have such an amazing space, in a great location. But I have had one too many bad experiences.
My tech was very thorough, she took her time to get it right.
First experience for a pedicure at Sakura Nail Spa on church rd and the lady doing my pedicure did it quickly and I barely got a massage on my legs and did not get a foot massage on the bottom of my feet, just a rub on top. I paid $30 and I will not go back. Nice staff but it was the worst pedicure ever.
I got a full set by one of the guys that work there and a couple hours after I left 3 nails popped off. I told him it wasnt enough glue but he didnt listen and nail wasnt secure. I guess some people hate to be wrong. I will be back but this guy will not be doing my nails again. I believe hes the owner brother. Overall great place and nice staff.
Very bad customer service. Very expensive. I got a dip manicure and my nails kept chipping no matter what I did. I thought maybe it was me but I went to glossy nails in southaven and I got the exact same thing and my nails I have yet to chip at all. I spent about 15 dollars getting my nails repaired.
It was good . The girl I had was shy and she didnβt speak up so i didnβt know if I had to put my feet in the water or not .
Today was my fourth visit and Iβve had excellent service on each visit. Great mani/pedi. This is the place to go!
I came in yesterday afternoon for the first time. I gad heard great things so I wanted to try them out. And I was sooo disappointed! It was awful!! I was literally in tears over it. The owner told me to back back this morning and he would get them fixed. I debated over it all night on whether I really wanted to go back. But, I went back this morning as soon as they opened. This time... I am in LOVE!!! Tia fixed my nails right up and they look AMAZING!!! And she did it in half the time it took yesterday. I told them that I feel like I have real girl nails now lol. I will definetely be going back in the future and Tia will be my girl! Love it! Thank you! You have made my day!!! P.S I wish I could post the before and after pic so everyone can see what a nail magician Tia is!
My favorite place to get my nails and toes pampered. Sukon is amazing. I highly recommend this nail salon
My favorite salon! Always consistently awesome!!
The owner just stop doing my nails to go do other things. No excuse me and no regard for the customers time. Completely unprofessional. She did more talking to her employees than she did her customer. Believe me when I say I will drive back to Germantown before coming to this place which is 5 minutes away from my home. Sad hadnβt been open long enough to have service like this.
Great work, decent prices. Not fast, but worth the time usually!
Great place to get pampered. The environment is so relaxing. I love this place.
Great staff but my nails began to chip within two days
I decided to try Sakura after seeing one of my SC friends make a post about them. I was preparing for two parties that weekend, one of which was my sonβs 16th birthday party. I went in on Tuesday. It took about 2.5 hours to get a mani/pedi. I didnβt complain because I did notice that they were short of help. On the following Saturday, the day of my sonβs party, two of the nails chipped. By the Sunday, the day of my auntβs party, the nails started popping off completely. By the Monday, both hands were completely bare. I returned to Sakuraβs the following Tuesday, exactly one week from originally getting my nails done to discuss my experience, only to be insulted. I was accused of taking the nails off in an attempt to get them redone for free. I am a small business owner myself and would never try to get over on anyone, especially a personβs business. That was a slap in the face to me and I will NEVER do business with them again. I spent $80 plus tipped $10. Why would I lie about my nails coming off. My situation was handled very poorly.
I love their work. Quick and efficient, not super friendly, Im ok with that.
John did great job. The staff was friendly.
Fantastic service. Great place. Beautiful nails.
The only place Iβll go to laid back and relaxing the staff is amazin
This place provides Professional and excellent service.
Love it!! Get in when open or you go be sitting enjoy π
Pedicure was Awesome!!
My wife absolutely loves this place and is trying to get me to go constantly. They must be doing something right and Im on the verge of giving in. What do you guys put in the water over there?
Great service, SK was great!! Love my nails.
Great facility, fabulous staff and relaxed atmosphere where customer service is top priority. Thrilled I found this place!
My wife loves this place!!! The people are so friendly and sweet
Clean, friendly and take care of their customers.
