So at first, this place was pretty good. But recently my visits there have been difficult. All except for 2 barbers have not listen to what I asked for. They do a great job at cutting hair but when I ask just for a simple scissor trim, they end up buzzing more than I want off. One time I asked for a scissor trim and the barber there gave me a shaved sides cut where I had to style my hair back. My hair doesnt style back either. Recently I walked in and asked for a scissor trim on top and leave the sides alone since I was just there recently. The barber ended up buzzing my hair on top and then cutting the sides shorter than I wanted to. Im not one to be rude or to complain but after the fourth time of a barber not listening to me and cutting the hair differently than what I asked I may have to find a new place. In conclusion, the place cuts hair great but I feel like the barbers dont listen to the customer.

Ive been coming here for years best mens old time atmosphere barbershop in Oklahoma .in my opinion .down to earth staff. Love that they are a full service mens barbershop straight razer, beards, clean shave, royal shave, all the staff are well trained and I have never got a bad haircut ever from any of the awesome staff. I had Marquita my Family and myself are always pleased with her skills glad they have her there. They take walk ins but make an appointment with who you prefer to save time.

4 star rating but let me tell you why. This place is the craziest busiest barber shop I have ever been to. Sometimes there isnt even a seat inside and you have to stand outside. This should tell you something. I have never got a bad haircut here. The atmosphere is great. You could wait a while to get a haircut because they are popular.

For nearly two years I searched around the OKC area for a barber who can do a proper fade/cut and be consistent. And finally I found the place, every barber in there knows what their doing. I leave happy every time, and it’s the only barbershop I’m going to for the foreseeable future. If you’re looking for a clean haircut every time you need to check this place out. I recommend getting there right when they open otherwise you’ll have a solid wait.

Really enjoyed my time at Lakeside today. It was one of several attempts to find a decent barbershop that does straight blade shaves. Mike took very good care of me and had a great sense of humor. I cant vouch for the others, but everyone there seemed more than capable. I got a cut and a shave, and the price was very reasonable. I will be going back when Im in this area if for nothing else the shave.The reason that I did not give a perfect score is that even though the shop is clean and setup nicely, it doesnt have a rustic, manly feel that a perfect shop has, in my opinion. Secondly, my skin is very sensitive, and, this was not the very best shave Ive ever had. Maybe I have impossibly high standards. That said, I will return to Mike. He did a fantastic job, and I really appreciate his service.

Lakeside is a great barber shop. Nick, Zach, Travis, and Allen are all top-notch barbers. Ive had my hair cut by every barber in that shop (even Harold) and have had a great experience every time.Today I was running behind schedule, called the shop, and Allen didnt hesitate to offer waiting a few minutes after closing time to cut my hair.The price is right, tip well! On weekends be prepared to wait a little, but relish the experience of chit-chat and camaraderie of a real barber shop.

Due to COVID-19, they had you text to make an appointment. After texting it took several days to respond. Got scheduled for a haircut, when I get there Nick no shows and after waiting in the parking lot for 20 minutes for him to show up I finally left. I texted the number back and got no response. Totally unprofessional and wasted a lunch hour for no haircut.

My sons & husband go here all the time. Its just a great old school shop. The guys are just that great salt of the earth blue collar guys. Allen, Travis, & Nick are maybe the best barbers on the face of the planet. Yes they look a bit intimidating & can be a bit crass at times but thats part of the charm of the shop! You dont go to a shop like this to get a quick hair cut you go to a shop like this for the community feel, they remember you, & the extra attention to details

I visited this shop a few months ago & since then I happily drive an hour each way just to get my haircut here. I got my 1st trim from Allen & since then he has been my barber & will remain so as long as Im in Oklahoma. Definitely go check this shop out. I am very picky about my cuts & shaves, this place has exceeded my expectations. Great job guys!

Great shop, with reasonable prices. What separates a barbershop and a salon? Salons take appointments and dish diva attitudes, these guys dont do either. I have gone here and sat with most the guys, everyone does a good job. The shop is worked by younger guys and they are doing a great job keeping a dying art alive.

This is an awesome old-school barber shop. The prices are very reasonable and their barbers are skilled. They dont take appointments though, walk-ins only, so it could be a bit of a wait. Definitely worth it though.

First off Id like to preface this by saying that I have got to be the pickiest person when it comes to my hair. I have a scar on the back of my head from a car accident and to make matters worse, my hair is very thin so getting a cut I like is a bit of a challenge normally. Today I walked into this place and was greeted right away and seated for a haircut. My barber was Joshua and he was awesome to say the least. He listened to what I wanted, worked with the hair I had, and even got the back super short without the scar being visible! To me, thats a first! I found my new barber/barbershop (finally!). These guys made me feel right at home even though I was a first time customer and after the cut was over my barber wished me farewell with a smile and a handshake. Now thats how you do business! Ill be back for sure!

I have been going for 5yrs. It is an old school barbershop with an outstanding staff. They make you feel as if they are there just for you. Alan is my go to barber. They provide straight razor and hot towel shaves. They are usually busy. It seems that most of us customers dont mind waiting. There is always great and lively conversation going on. An eclectic choice of music is always playing. This isnt a hairstylist place but a true barbershop. It has the smell of bay rum, barbersoll, pomade, and cleanliness. Definately the place to go.

I was not at lakeside barber but my GPS tagged me here. I was at BACON! Delicious place to go for amazing bacon flavored or covered food. Go for the bacon cheesecake, you wont be disappointed.

My boyfriend had been looking for months for a barber to do a proper flat top. Marquita surpassed all expectations, and has been very friendly and professional both times shes cut his hair.

The guys at lakeside are awesome they have great storys and give the best haircuts its not like Supercuts ECT where they do it in 5 minutes as fast as possible it is a real hair cut if you can give them a try it is the only place I will use from now on

I had been going to this place for more than 8-9 months. Guys in there are reliable to provide a basic haircut -- nothing more - nothing less. Price is reasonable.Unfortunately, I went to get a hair cut at 5:15 on a Friday afternoon. Store is to close at 5:30 as per the sign on the door. I tried to open the door, noting someone in the chair getting their hair cut. The door was locked. I tapped on the door and all 4 guys, whom I had haircuts with previously, pretended like spineless men, not to hear me. I knocked a little sterner and noted that one or two of them were looking down at their shoes and smiling under their conversation. The nice thing to do would have been just to come over to the door and indicate they were sorry and just closing early for some reason. Instead, just a few childish men wanting to get home earlier.The only reason I didnt put one star is because I have gotten good service here previously and to his credit, one of the guys who was likely in the back room, ran out to the car to tell me that they were leaving early and that I could come back the following morning. Too bad his colleagues didnt do that at the beginning. They lost a twice a month customer not due to bad quality of work, but due to disrespectful treatment of a client.

The person cutting my hair shoved the clippers into my skin giving me a ton of like razor thin cuts on my neck. It hurt so bad when I took a shower. Only reason why this isnt a one star is the people there are nice and my hair looks good, but man I was in some serious pain that evening.

Im not entirely sure why there are several bad reviews on this place because this place is legit for sure. To the posters that gave negative reviews, the majority cant be wrong and thats why you can wait a few hours on the weekend to get a cut. I strongly recommend you go here if youre looking for an experience far above your normal cut.

I initially found out about this barbershop from doing some searching on Reddit. Lakeside was the most recommended barbershop I could find there. So I also looked at the Google reviews and saw it was very favorable and many people liked it.I needed a new barber because my last one was partially retiring, or whatever, and was only cutting two days a week. So I decided to drive over 30 minutes to Lakeside Barbershop.I received my haircut from Jake. I was so surprised at how damn good my haircut was. I had no clue how bad of a job my old, small-town barber was doing. Lakeside is full of relatively (in my situation, at least) younger barbers who knew what was in style. Jake, and Im assuming obviously the other barbers as well, knew exactly what I was wanting when asked.I am extremely picky about everything, especially my hair, so I was so satisfied when my haircut was finished. It was, without a doubt, the best haircut Ive ever received in my life!Furthermore, the atmosphere was something to mention, too. It felt like an old school barbershop. Everyone was friendly and having a great time, with lots of laughs. The music was nice, as were the people. Something I was ignorantly missing out on with my last barbershop. It really adds to the experience.The drive and price is so worth it. I will definitely be coming back here from now on to get my haircut. I highly recommend a hundred percent!

Brought my son in to get his hair cleaned up for a family photoshoot. Waited 45 min to get a barber who looked perma-fried on drugs and that should have been my first alert...Walked next door to run an errand and came back to find he basically shaved my sons head into one of the worst, hands down the worst, hair cut ever. He was devastated. I had to also cancel our picture session.I should have walked out right then and not paid but we were in such shock that any individual would cut a persons hair no where even near what we discussed, much less into a horrible cut. I said specifically DO NOT CUT HIGHER THAN THE EYEBROW...and what happened? This barber cuts about two inches off this hair leaving about an inche of hair, blunt cut across his forehead.Never again. I cant understand why hairdressers and barbers dont listen and actually do what the customer wants. They just do whatever they want.

Disappointed, Just moved to the area from Denver. Had a sick barber Proper barbershop. searched online for one near OKC and found this one that had good reviews and seemed legit. Got there on a weekday 30 min before they closed, because that was the only time i could make it. Wanted a straight razor fade was told couldnt do it 30 min before they closed, but they would use an electric razor. So i got the cut that lasted about 10 min, felt supper rushed and the melon was raw from the barber running the S#!t out of it on my head. Not friendly at all, seemed like they just wanted to go home and dint enjoy their job. The cut was OK but not worthy of a supposedly old school straight razor barbershop like advertised. I will not go back nor recommend if you have ever been to a legitimate barber shop AKA not great clips or fantastic sams. Because the cut i got was worthy of the chains but not a real barber!
