I work at an assisted living in Ogden and I have had the pleasure of working with Weber human services and their new choice waiver program. Laura, Angie, Ginny, Sam, and Cindy are absolutely amazing and so incredibly helpful. I know that if I need something for one of our shared clients they are going to get it done. They really do help make my job easier and I know I can always count on them for anything!
Be aware if youre here Due to Court they give you just enough rope to hang yourself be very careful do not trust these people they video camera you come and leave they entrap you while (saying) theyre trying to help. Yes these are sneaky government paid jerks! They dont care about you personally they just cant get a real job this is where they end up.
Weber human services used to be a good place to go to get help. But now it just seems like all they’re worried about is getting their job done and going about their day. Supposedly they want people to be healthier and happier and be able to live. But how am I supposed to keep a job when they are telling me I can’t get an intake appointment ahead of time. I have to call when they first open and hope that they have some available that day. I tried telling them most jobs don’t allow people just to call in that same day unless it’s an emergency. No wonder why our suicide rate and drug use are higher. People can’t get help when they try.I noticed that even regular doctors now won’t help you if you have Medicaid. I have a job and I’m a single mother. My job doesn’t offer medical insurance. So now what is the point of Medicaid being around when they just make it hard for people that do have it to get a doctor or get mental health help. The low income places like Midtown can’t even help you when you need it. When you call to get an appointment it takes two months to get in there.
This place and the people that work for Weber Human Services are amazing. Life changing for the better. WHS and the people who work here are caring people who will help any way they can as long as you are also willing to help yourself. I am a better person because of their help. Thank you!
If you can get a therapist that doesnt cancel at the last minute all the time they are pretty good. Since they stopped taking crisis calls (thanks new laws that dont help anyone) this place has gone downhill. It wasnt excellent to begin with.DBT is offered only for adults.Child section gets a 1 star. They are horrible. Threaten DCFS to the kids they are supposed to help, one counselor hit my son in the face.
This place will give you the help you need
Great place I highly reccomend
I decided to give this place a try. Hoping for a change. But instead they gave me the run around. REFUSED to help me. The therapist here were never understanding. They always acted like they had other things to do than to help me. They just judged and never listened to me. I was asking for help but all I got was NO HELP in return. Places like this make me sick. They just want money they dont want to help anyone. They just toss you aside and make you feel like you are TOO BROKEN TO FIX OR TREAT. NOT COOL! nobody could get help from this place when they wont even listen and keep you with a therapist that will understand and work with you. I thought that was what this place was for. But i was mistaken and wrong. I dont recommend this place. Unless it was your ONLY choice. I wish it was not my ONLY choice and my last.
Who likes having someone watching them pee?.. i know i sure dont.. But The staff is really nice and fun..
This is a part of the same Weber Housing Authority that is like a block away. The way that they handle each person is formal, responsible (given the health crisis), and incredibly helpful. I did not have proper ID (do not recommend if avoidable) but they were able to verify my identity and still help me with my needs. Staff has been really helpful and efficient. I havent had to spend any extra time here. Literally, in and out within a matter of minutes. I take UAs here, so of course, make sure you are ready when you go in. Im just especially really grateful that its ONE person in at a time. No worries about contracting the Rona 🤣 Thanks again, Weber.
This place is a good place. The classes and counselors are very helpful to help you get your life back on track. They also offer help in many kinds of situations, like housing, meals on wheels and such. They have good prices.
Nice staff they are understanding but some times they post the wrong colors
Lovley
Went here for suicide watch, ended up staying at a detention center for a weekend. yeah, terrible times.
My son goes to counseling here. It use to be a great place with people that care. Now its all about just barely getting the job done. Maybe its moral or not enough funding. They once use to take the groups out to eat or to the movies, this is a great way to learn social skills. Many mentally ill people lose the ability to function in society, they need to have these outings and theyre no longer doing that. I do like the pharmacy and Im happy with the front desk, but the monetary and counseling need to get it together
It was ok. professional
Very helpful
Worst customer service. The people are very unprofessional
Some wat helpfull
Trying to call and cancel an appointment and the phone is still set to after hours message this is ridiculous
Ive always had good experiences here, when I was released from the hospital I was sent there for therapy, an Dr. Adams, was incredible! He helped me in so many ways, understanding, to much to list... but, I personally really liked my experience here.
I really want to know how can a public servant who works for the people that played taxes to build that building, Only allows people that have appointments that day can use the restrooms, that building is there for us to be able to use because we are not able to use private restrooms and we can t go anywhere near the UTA Bus Stops. What is the problem with the public servants who work for the Planning Department dont they have to go to the restroom. What is happening with this world? I remember every business that serves the public was required to allow the people to be able to use restrooms!! Sanitation is a Public Health Concern and we all should be able take care of our families
I really think they have something for all five of US. ME likes the professionalism. MYSELF likes how they greet US with a smile. WE leave sessions with the belief that they care?
Have been there before. Then didnt need to. Then I started going there again 3yrs ago. My counselors were wonderful kind and understanding. I see Angela for medications and she wonderful. Im sad to see her go. They have a variety of different types of help for people.
This is not a reflection on the treatment providers here. They are well educated and dedicated to what they do. The problem is the system. This is the only place for anyone on Medicaid in the county to get mental health or substance abuse help. To say that the staff are overwhelmed at times is an understatement. Appointments are often difficult to get and when you have one you may get bumped due to a crisis. As you wait for your appointment you are surrounded by junkies often fiending for a fix. I understand that we all have our own struggles, but at times it makes getting needed help more difficult. As a disabled veteran I am thankful I can drive 40 miles and get help through the VA rather than go there. My dont have that luxury though and private insurance would cost half my income. The work they do at Weber Human Services is important. But the facility is too small and there arent enough people.
This is a good place. They really take interest in helping people with different kinds of special needs and addiction issues. They are professional they make it easy to get help. The therapists are great
When your in need of some extra help and find life a bit to difficult, you are sure to find answers and assistance with Weber Human Services. Im thankful that we have such great, talented, trained professionals who are willing to help out during lifes many difficult challenges! Thank you for the services you provide or county. Thank you for the professional ways youve served and blessed my life.
Counseling, information for different services needed, and drug and alcohol programs are available. Very nice people all the way around. If they couldnt help theyd find someone that could.
Wasnt me who went and did ua. Gave friend ride there yesterday.
Well maintained/clean. Friendly security guards (One went out of his way to look up the directions for me to a clinic in a totally different city)... Situated in an easy to reach area.
What an absolute blessing to have this facility available to us. I have always been treated with kindness and respect. I watched one of the security guards in the AM, he was so patient with an individual. Never once raising his voice, and willing to listen to the individual. He set such an example.
Kind, compassionate, and explained all of the information I needed to come get assistance. Im thankful for the services they provide. Thank you all for your kindness and help! May you and your lives be filled with joy for the amazing service you render.
Most accurate place ever! Better than task!
Its an okay place to get help! Some therapist are mean and evil but some therapist are really nice you know when someone cares about you. One of the good therapist i met was camille!
Thanks so much for your time and effort....I am a client.I didnt get the help I needed till just 5 years ago when I was in the state hospital... nobody else has been able to find any way to help me but Weber Human Services band judge Noel S. Hyde and my treatment team nothing is perfect but Im getting better thanks to loving care and understanding not just throwing me in to incarceration where you get worse and No help.thanks again everybody....
Great service provided for people in need. We are blessed to have such great services available. Thank you for all you do to help assist us.
This place is absolutely amazing! A couple years ago I was going through some personal struggles. Due to amazing people like Roberto & Emily, I have been able to overcome many of my struggles! Look, if you are willing to do the work to make life changes, there are ABSOLUTELY NO BETTER PEOPLE to help you with your goals. Keep in mind that they are YOUR goals though, you have to be the one to put in the work. My ENTIRE BEING is extremely grateful to Roberto, Emily & everyone behind the front lines at WHS. I could NEVER repay you for what you have done for me!
There really nice there
My doctors office is there and they have excellent customer service there.
Everything was fine. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A+++
They were not as informative as I expected. The girl at the information desk did not want me to use the restroom as they do not have public restrooms. I clearly saw a sign pointing to restrooms. I needed a min to freshen up as I was meeting me son there so he could start the intake process as he is a heroin user. So.... I sat in the lobby and cried and read scripture verses that would comfort me while I was waiting for my son to show up. I also prayed out-loud and prayed in the spirit. This has been a very difficult time for me and my adult children. I had some friends from church and my Pastor praying at the same time. I will not loose my precious and beautiful son to drugs! My point here is... To the door keepers in the lobby of the Weber Mental Health services. Please show a little compassion for those families struggling through drug and other addictions. Would it have hurt you to let me use the bathroom for a few moments of privacy? I really needed a place not so public to pull myself together before my son got there. You made an unhappy situation even worse.......
It location is very convenient for first timers and the people that work there are very nice and helpful.
I like some of the people there but that in Ogden Utah Im not there no more my life change so fast
Ive been going since I was 5 years old and Ill soon be turning 30 Ive seen things change there most good a few bad ideas came out but soon were fixed. I go because I have schizophrenia and Ive had it my hole life and Ill have it so forth but Weber Human Services is more than just a building were I get treatment its were I go to see friends and those Ive known for years. Its somewhere I feel comfortable.
Love this place and what it stands for. They offer amazing services to low income families. Youth mental health, adult mental health, substance abuse, and senior citizen services. Great place and great staff. Especially the pharmacy staff. Nate, Jenipher, and Heather are the best!
The staff is nice and professional. I have alot to be thankful for with the resources they provide.
I love the staff at WHS. Michelle and Emily are great. We have a great working relationship with them and communicate regularly regarding patient care and mutual patients.
The team at Weber Human Services has been a big part of my family growing and becoming healthy. We love Tyson Barlow! He is so awesome!
They helped me extensively 1. Housing 2. Furniture for apt. 3. Drug rehabilitation 4 cognitive thinking (to stay off drugs)
Awesome staff. Quality care for everyone. Treats everyone with the respect they deserve.
Hate the fact that we pay for all those programs that are being offered by them, but they act like they are not interested in our health. Why do they have so many vehicles in the parking lot! I think its a big waste of money to spend on services that are not worth it
Great place to go in a minute of need saw a therapist here didnt charge me anything and I really needed to talk.
Horrible place for mental health services. Therapy is like a drive thru and an appt for medications is a meet and greet even though I requested medicine change and more time than 5 min every 3 months.
This place is horriable, the people that need the most help people like the poor, homeless and drug adicts are not getting good or priper care. Its difficult to get thwm to give people a psychological evaluation or to even get perscriped meds. I have known two people that have said they go there for help and nothing really happens and the process is long and tetitus.
Great place to go for all kinds of help and friendly ppl who really care
Awesome place!! Its for Medicaid recipients only .. will need to have medicaid backup so I can continue going!! I just barely got accepted to receive disability benefits!
The pharmacy there is top of the line I highly recommend it other than that its all right
😄 Best services and staff Ive ever had to deal with.
Very caring helpful people willing to assist you with your present situation!
Youd think they would be happy to help someone who is really depressed...they wouldnt even talk to my daughter because she doesnt have Medicaid and they only accept Medicaid people didnt matter she has no insurance at all...very disappointed on top of the fact that they were very rude...never have I experienced such a thing at any place that deals with mental health issues. Would never recommend this place to anyone
The best help in Weber county. Support and helpful skills oriented groups.
The crisis worker I talked to helped me out so much. I am in a bit of a mess that needs to be fixed and they were my first stop in trying to get help getting my life back together and she was so helpful and kind. I have an appointment tomorrow to talk more about all the options I have out there
Senior Companion program is top notch. Excellent staff working there
Easy access. The staff here are very plain and robotic. I assume only because they deal with a lot of ignorance from the public.
This is the best experience Ive ever had in 3 years the staff here is amazing they go well and far beyond their own jobs to help you in any way that they can if I could give them 10 Stars I would
They like to give you a wiz quiz
Felony DUI court is an amazing program!!!! Ive been sober for a year and a half now. They gabe me the tools and taught me how to live sober
Their staff could of been mote understanding
I went there to seek help with my parenting and behavior skills for my children. I was delighted at how helpful and supportive the staff members at Weber Human Services.
These people have no consideration for other peoples time. My son has had 3 appointments. He has shown up as required and toldSorry your appointment has been cancelled No phone call to let him know. Of course not that would be to polite and appropriate. If he just didnt show they would have him arrested. What a joke people. Pull your heads out of your rectile area please. Thank you
I just started taking my kids about 3 weeks ago . Our experiences have been outstanding. Keep up the great work!
A great place that helps You with Your Mental, Physical and other Services that Help You better to make You a better person for Your Family and Friends.?!!
The counselors were top notch and very supportive. If you are willing to dig in and work hard, you can suceed with the help and support of this wonderful organization.
Lets just say if it wasnt for this place I could be dead. They are great for addiction services an i wanna thank them.
A good place to help get your self straight, or at least as good as possible.
I have a wonderful therapist and a new case manager. She is awesome
They dont know what they are doing!
Ive been going here for 15 years, ever since I was a kid. This seems like less of a place for the community to seek help, and more of a place to institutionalize, belittle, and take advantage of those caught with drug charges. You can only receive treatment here if youre on state Medicaid or Medicare -- they dont take regular insurance and you cant even pay out of pocket. Yup, no psychiatrists available to the general public. For that you need to visit a different county.Personally Ive only been in trouble for missing school, and the state branded me a criminal on par with drug dealers and heroin addicts. Needless to say, that actually *introduced* me to drugs at a young age. They seems to have an enourmous workload, because of Weber Countys massive drug problems. And I dont think they make any impact on the community to fix it.Regardless, they do have good people working here, probably because they pay well, but those people could be doing much better work at a place less focused on keeping the incarcerated incarcerated.
The youth services that suppose treat kids for therapy is ridiculous. My son has been thru so many therapist that they dont realize damage they are doing to my son. My son really liked Becky S but she retired and she had be one of therapist to abandoned him too.
Good im glad there is help for low income to see a psyachatrist fpr deppression. Dustinn Adamas is. great. people in the clinic employees are sweet too
Why have the people in this organization set out to make it as difficult as possible for recovering addicts to get into treatment?
Hard to get figured out, but I do appreciate their help and services during times of need.
Great starting point to find resources but a lot of services are only available with insurance
Wish they had cool there like music water sand different things like that would be cool.
There are some amazing people working there that genuinely care!
The front desk receptionist was very helpful in me finding where I needed to go.
Been going for 5 yrs staffing wonderful love my therapist Connie.
Great local Mental Health and Substance abuse agency. They offer a range of services from MH, Youth, Substance, Aging and Housing.
Great drug programs helping me out a lot
Everyone is so positive and helpful, my DAUGHTER had to move from Davis to Weber, she was very reluctant at first, but smiled through it just fine.
Has lots of resources to help you better your life
Micheal Hastings is an awesome counselor taught mw some techniques that truly work to combat anxiety. He is a huge asset to the community and the WHS, sad that I had to leave so soon after finding him as I moved home to Georgia.
Great people to work with. Seems like they really care.
Ive been going here for very long time and the counselors are great and they help you out so much I would recommend it if you have problems great place to go
Most effective service Ive ever recieved.
I feel like I get a lot out of what I do in the people I see when I go to Weber Human Services if you try to be not negative about things you are able to get more out of being positive thats easier said than done sometimes but I get a lot of out of where I go thank you very much I hope that helps you
Theyre very hopeful in doing what you have to do. They have some really good therapist and prescribers if youre in need of mental health assistance
Love the classes and the staff thanks ❤👍👍😊
