I own a business across the street going there 3 years. Supported them thru COVID. Went there today and saw employees poorly dressed dragging their feet in unfitted shoes and basically looking like unprofessional. One guy looked like he just got out of bed. Sadly I didn’t get the usual pedicare. Will not going back even if I can walk across the street.

Fairly nice employees, but poor quality. Prices are ok, but not up to expectation. The interior could use a substantial deep clean as well as all furniture. Every piece of furniture is peeling and falling apart as well as has no indication of cleaning between clients. The chairs and all furniture are made of PU so it is very easy to clean and clean well. That is just not happening here. I don’t know how it has so many good reviews as that was not my experience, but maybe I was just unlucky. I took my 9 year old daughter there and will not risk it again. If anyone has any recommendations for a reliable place, please let me know.

I went in for an appointment at 2pm and they didn’t do anything for me except put the nails on. There are bubbles under my nails and they are already coming off. They did not push back my cuticle or do anything else so it already looks like a weeks worth of growth even though it’s been 2 days! When I asked why they didn’t do anything to my cuticles they said they didn’t have time and still charged full price.

My nail tech knew exactly what I wanted and she performed! My nails and toes look amazing. I’ve never felt more confident with nails but these ones are great. I came in bc I needed to get my acrylics fixed and she fixed them, reshaped them and they turned out beautiful!

I love going here. Everyone is very nice and attentive, and they do a great job on pedicures, gel manicures, and waxing which is all Ive had done. Best place in Oceanside and surrounding areas.

The girls were amazing. I was a first timer and they took great care of me. I am so coming back. I needed my eyebrows done as well and they did an amazing job.

My nails looked so pretty and better than when I went in! They really got on it and didnt take long to do both pedi and fill. Ive been to other places that took all afternoon, so this was great!

Came here with my 4 year old daughter for a pedicure. The manager told me that for my daughter toes painted with design was 10$ okay no problem than when I asked about the design they said oh no that’s extra because she painted each of her small 4 year old toes a different color. He than turned around and said you didn’t mention the colors. Very unprofessional to speak to me in front of customers the way he did.

I fight all the time with nail places about not sanding with a machine on my nails. I didnt have to fight with them. The ONLY reason i did 4 stars is we ( daughter and I) went together... they didnt start us even close to same time. So she sat for like 25 min before someone got to her and we DID have appts.

Everyone seemed very happy 😊. Choice of colors is enormous. Great detail to cuticles. Im coming back @

Great place to get a mani/pedi. The environment is clean, chairs are comfy and the people are really nice. Definitely recommend!

Came in on my lunch to get a pedi. They took me right away no waiting, and the pedi was fantastic with a hot stone foot rub and the prices are great. Will be back for sure.

So, Ive been here now twice. The first time, I didnt even get far into my manicure before I had a very rude nail tech catch an attitude with me and I not walked, but STORMED out. I decided to give them another chance while my friend was getting her lashes done (which Brenda and Jasmine do an AMAZING job btw) and I got Daisy. At first, I didnt know how I felt about her to he honest. I had to ask them to cut my cuticles and I just felt very uncertain due to my last experience, but as the manicure went on, Im telling you, she was PHENOMENAL! This is BY FAR the BEST manicure that I have EVER had! She even helped me decide colors because Im VERY indecisive and I cant emphasize that enough. Ask for them! Im telling you, its so worth it!

I had a 4pm appointment and the ladies didnt start my group until 4:30 pm. Our water was cold and 3 out of the 4 ladies were very rough. Most likely wont return.

I highly recommend Red Persimmon to do any of your nail services. I come here regularly and always get compliments on my nails. Additionally, my nails last after I have them done here, which makes me glad to not be wasting my time running back and forth getting them repaired, or filled for at least 2 1/2 - 3 weeks, sometimes 4.Leo is who I go to for my nail services. He is outstanding! He is a perfectionist and very professional. Hes also very artistic. I feel very fortunate to have found someone to help make my nails looks so beautiful for special occasions! I highly recommend Red Persimmon Nails,, and definitely Leo!

I have been here on a few occasions over the past couple of years and each time I visit I have had a good experience. The place is clean, staff friendly, and the section of colors is great. They can be a bit busy at times, so I try to only go at off hours to be able to get in quickly. Pricing is great, about the same as other local nail places. Parking can be a bit tricky at times, but usually there is space available. This place is great, highly recommend.

This place is terrible. Better get there early on a Sunday, because they won’t take anyone by 3:30, even for a single pedicure. They apparently “close” at 5pm. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been a customer there before. The staff can be rude as well, because they know they’re busy, they don’t need to be nice. Their manicures are not great, everything is extra, no cuticle trim, no hand massage, just nails. Take your business elsewhere, as will I from now on.

I come here everytjme to get both pedicure and manicure . They shaped my nail Great and always make me feel welcome, they have large selection of color . Many options for pedicure treatments, always nice and extremely CLEAN.Overall very nice place and I & my family keep coming there

Service is usually fantastic and the ladies are very nice. They are usually busy on weekends and late afternoon, but they take appointments. I recommend them!

Came to this salon with my daughter for an appointment on Mothers’ Day. Overall, we were dissatisfied and will not return again for more than a few reasons. My biggest issue is that later in the evening after our services, I developed an infection in my left big toe where the manicurist cut the sides of my nails deeply. It was painful when she did the pedicure.

This shop is a mile above your regular nail shop. The services offered are spa worthy, without being terribly over priced. The nail techs are very professional, not offering more services to jack up the prices. I love the royal mani/pedi, which includes paraffin. The salon is spotlessly clean and everything is sanitary, including the one use liners for the pedicure basins. I also get the feeling that the staff is not taken advantage of here. In some salons they pay under minimum wage and the working conditions are very poor. I always (and advise others) pay the tip in cash, just in case. Great salon overall- my gels from here last 2 1/2-3weeks!

I use to frequent this salon for over five years but I have more love and respect for myself so I started going to Happiness Nails. I have watched Red Persimmons decline over the years and enough was enough when my nails were ‘gouged and bleeding’ when I left. There are plenty of reviews on here mentioning infections and I was also a victim of a nail infection I received at Red Persimmons. This place is NOTHING MORE than a “nail mill” and they are also overpriced with inexperienced workers that speak really poor English. They take NO responsibility and instead blame you when in fact you are the injured party.

Be here for years since they open, Love the shop and employees . They use the best spa chair i ever see with Air jet meaning everything is disposable .It is hard to find a clean shop like that the reason me and my family loves it so muchTry and get your experience !!!,

Sorry for the long post :(. I want to say this is very sad to post but TRUE. I started going to Red Persimmon over 3 years ago just from a gift certificate given to me. And this is when I met Kathy. OMG she was amazing. She listened and she was great in the respect that I wanted to maintain my own natural nails. She was my person. Once she shared news of her departure I was so so sad. She told me that Brenda would take care of me and she would share with her my likes.....I was skeptical because again these are my natural nails. Not every salon embrace this practice and respect it. But they did. Brenda came in a truly did her best. We developed our own relationship and I even brought my two daughters here and had them get their nails done. It was truly a family experience.When Brenda shared her wedding and honeymoon plans I was again happy for her and sad for me. :) She said Leo would be able to handle the one appt. I would miss with her in her absence. I ALWAYS make my appts. In advance ALWAYS, and always KEEP them. I made my appt. for February 1st @ 4pm. I get a call the same day about 1ish asking if I could come in at 4:30 pm so that Leo could accommodate another client. I was off put but I said ok. I get to the nail salon at 4:16 pm not greeted, no apologies for having me wait. Because he did not start my nails until 4:50 pm.My appts. Usually last about 2 hours when I get a new overlay. Which was in this visit. When all said and done Leo stated my charge was $65. Gasp in disbelief. I have NEVER EVER paid Brenda of Kathy $65 for anything I have ever gotten. Remind you I get an Overlay $27, Leo said he charge me $45 for a full set??? I dont do long nails EVER. Leslie said oh well we have to charge you $15 for gel and long nails..... LIES. And I toned my design down specifically for this visit. And I tipped him cash $$$ even leaving upset. He said he would contact Brenda and make the adjustment.But, I called this morning to follow up only to be met with lies and lies from Leslie. Who told me it took him 3 hours to do my nails and all this other Bullshi* that made no sense but just enraged me. These people know me. I have been consistent in my appts. I told her thanks to your behavior and lies I will no longer be back. You just lost Benda a good client. Even my daughters was surprised as they are with me at appts. So we will unfortunately have to find another place to go. Im so upset that this is what its come down too.I will be contacting my bank regarding this charge. I will pay for what is right. But, I wont pay for imaginary work that was not performed. Red Persimmon you should be ashamed but the sad part is I dont think Leslie or Leo care as to what they have done.

My nails look great. Just not sure if it was worth the 15 minute late opening without an apology and the Nat infestation flying around. Will have to think twice about another visit :-/

I came into town for business and needed a gel manicure. I walked in and had the pleasure of Tifffany as my nail tech. Nice atmosphere, quiet and relaxing plus Tifffany was fantastic. The best gel manicure I have had in a long time. Thank you Tiffany. 😊

Very hurried, inexperiened person gave me a pedicure. When I got home removed the polish . The time before that I waited 1 hour, I had an appointmentHave since gone to another spa, had a wonderful experience.

Tried pedicure and the SNS powder and loved it! Most staff are friendly.

Had dip powder on my nails and had them taken off here. Totally ruined my nails. The lady removed them by scrapping a press on, on my nails to remove the dip powder instead of soaking them in acetone. Pretty upset since my nails were long. She had to cut them short because of the damage done after scrapping my nails.

I called for an appointment and was told to come right in. Got there in 8 minutes, everyone was busy. I waited and then was put in water to soak...for 30 minutes! I started to get up to leave and was begged to stay 5 minutes more. I waited 10... finally my pedicure started. It wasnt terrible, but the girl just went through the motions. No real attention. She did notice that others had spilt wax on the floor so she got up to clean it up. She used my nail file to scrape up the wax, got out the broom and dust pan. When she returned to my service I was very glad she threw away the file and changed her gloves--so weird though. My $30 pedi lasted 30 minutes not counting my 40 min soak. I will not go back and dont believe they care about repeat business. They get 2 stars because the place did not reek of acrylic nails.

They had me leave with wet nails because they needed the seat and didnt have a fan available, in my wedding day. My nails were ruined by the time I got home.

Went in to a 415 pm appt for a full set acrylic that I had already scheduled prior, went in to get it done and there were 6 technicians and only 2 customers and 3 of the technicians staring at me tallking, none came to greet or get me set started, so after 10 minutes I left...was not pleased
