I was on the hunt for a new barber. I stopped in to Platinum Cutz just because it was on my way home. And I’m really glad I did. I always figured I knew what my hair was supposed to look like. But I was wrong. Danny changed my style and I couldn’t be happier. My hair never looked better. Fantastic cut, fantastic service and a great experience overall. I can’t say enough great things about Danny and Platinum Cutz.

The only reason I give this business 5 stars is because of Danny. Danny goes above and beyond to make sure not only his station, but the barbershop as whole is clean. He takes his time and is very professional and consistent in what he does. He opens the barbershop sometimes being the only barber available. Seems like it’s hard to find people who want to work nowadays. If you go, make sure you ask for Danny, you will not be disappointed!

I know the owner, Gis he is a really great guy very professional, and business savvy but a really down to earth guy. Great for all ages of men..

Upon ending I was greeted by barber Danny. He was very polite and showed me where I could collect a number to be seen. Our barber was John. He was great with my son offered us a cold water and was very talkative and attentive to our needs. Overall great experience. Plan on telling our friends and family to come as well. If youre looking for a barber that believes in Jesus whos fast and provides services at good price this your guy and your barber shop.

New to the area. Haircut came out decent but not a place I would recommend. My son has urban spanish curly hair. Ill keep looking for other areas. But overall, Im on the neutral with Platinum Cutz.

Great barbershop loaded with experienced, friendly barbers. You should feel comfortable being cut by anyone in this establishment. Great customer service as well. This place gets very busy on the weekend though. You should probably make an appointment if youre tight on time.

Hours should really be changed. I went there at 5:50PM and the open sign was off and they locked the door when they saw me coming. Trash 🗑

I showed up at 6 the door said closed at 7 several people sitting by door as it was locked no one would come to the door so I could get my son hair cut. I showed up in a big pickup truck with our nation flag on it and was refused service because of my flag. Never will i go there or refer them to anyone ever. My son was refused cause of there stupidity!!!

One of the worst barbershops I’ve been too do not go to John the barber he doesn’t give good cuts he doesn’t even put a new razor when he does an edge he’s heavy handed and will give u a razor burn... save your money and your hair and don’t come to this barbershop so wack it’s not suitable for children

Awesome Place to Get A Cut And Trim!

Service is good, the guys are really friendly and fun to talk with. Usually my hubby gets a very nice cut unless he tells the guy he pretty much wants a buzz cut which looks ridiculous on him. Oh well, its summer. 👍👍👊

I’ve been coming here for over 2 years with no problems, an amazing cut everytime and good conversation. Today I was told to park across the street at Walgreens because I was next and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 I did. After awhile of waiting I was told someone else showed up and wanted to VIP. I told him I wanted to VIP as well. His text to me read “ another vip showed up so if you want to be next y’all going to have to bid I’m still wrapping up on my cut”. BID!? VIP is already $50 plus a tip. He said I was being unreasonable. I said “ That is BAD BUSINESS, I come to you because I like the cut PLUS I’m loyal to you and I support you only and not any other barber. It’s a shame how all this went down. You act like I can’t get a cut down the street for $12. Amid the COVID-19 this place is a shame to make people have to spend that much money when 1/3 of Floridians are without work. 🤦‍♂️

Took my 20 year old son to Plantinum Cutz Barber Shop this past Sunday for a makeover and I cant stop raving about our experience. The staff was very friendly, shop is gorgeous and clean, and prices were great. His hair looks fantastic and I cant wait to bring my 12 year old son in next. I love this barbershop! Ive been to a several Ocala barbershops but none compare. Atmosphere always pleasant and there is never no drama in the shop. My barber Steve is always on point with my cut, as well as the other barbers. The waiting seats are nice and they have flat screens on every wall. Best cut in town.

Fair prices too.At peak times there are four excellent stylists, all men, working, so the wait is always manageable. Women get the same close, professional attention that men are afforded.This is exactly how a well run, home town barber/stylist shop should feel and run.

Their VIP skip the line service is a joke. Please dont waste your time. Everyone should have to wait their turn. I waited for more than an hour to have my hair cut. With one person left in front of me I was told someone else had just paid for VIP and Id have to now wait for him. STOP. THE. MADNESS. Its not personal, Its business, I was told. Well hear this Platinum Cutz Barber Shop: Youre chasing money and LOSING business! Yes, you made an extra $30 TODAY from this ONE VIP customer. But I will literally never return your shop. Therefore youve lost my $20 today, next month, the month after that and so on. Hopefully you see where this is going. So no, its not personal, its BAD BUSINESS.

I got a great hair cut

Now, I have only been going to Platinum Cuts for about two months. They are a LITTLE too expensive for my budget but worth it, but I must say today, that I truly do appreciate the customer service received from Gis. Their shop has comfortable chairs, they are open on Sunday, and they usually have something fun on the TV (and there is more than one TV). Now, I kind of left my old barbershop on 27th because when you walked into their shop. There were 3 barber chairs but always only one barber. The other two was never there, and they never handed you the mirror like they cannot make a mistake. Today, I went to a new guy at Platinum Cuts and his skills need some work, but he did a good job. But I did have to come back after washing my hair, and Gis just provided excellent customer service. I tell you when I left the second time. I truly felt like I had a Platinum Cut.

I loved taking my boys there to get a haircut when they was in the mall until they got rid of the Arabian barber.. I gave it a one cus my barber not there and the owner Gizz or Guts, whatever his name is, was very rude and unpleasant. Mainly, the wait time is FOREVER. Since you a JW please represent his name.. Bad service but thanks to Caucasian barber for making my boys look fresh.

I had a barber there, Puerto Rican dude but hes gone now so I went with the owners cousin cuz the owner is not even the best barber. Hes rude and has no respect for people unless they go to their jehova witness convention smh. Have signs of no cursing yet they curse and put movies and shows on their TVs with profanity, my kids need to cover their eyes at times. His cousin Ansley is a good barber but would not go against his cousins request even if the request arent right. His cousin is the owner, giz..the prices were also raised from 15 to 20 to drive out cheap customers but didnt even give better service to the customers that stayed. I wouldnt go there again.
