One of the best mens haircuts I gotten in a while. I Highly recommend making an appointment. The appointment is worth the $5 extra, or expect to wait. The barbers are not like the budget cutters who get their clients in and out of the chair in 12 -15 minutes. The barbers are meticulous and understand what it takes time for a decent good looking haircut followed by a straight blade to properly clean the edges. Plan to be in the chair until they get the cut right.

Edit: David says your barber completely missing the fact that I wanted to spend my money at HIS establishment, and to support HIS business. I wanted to support this place, but his response shows where he stands... He could not care less about the well-being of his own business - let alone your hair.The only reason Im here is because David blocked my phone number after he texted me asking my why I left before my time to sit. I did not want to leave a review for this place because I have been going to Mecca for the better part of a year now to see Ruben or Julio. I have a simple, bald haircut, and theyre generally the least busy - they were awesome though! I also understood David works by Appointment Only - hes a busy guy and I have a simple cut, so I respected his grind from afar. So, when the day comes that David has lost all of his help and its just him in the shop - I attempt to set an appointment with him. We set an appointment for 11:30 Saturday. Saturday comes he reschedules me to 12 - fine. I respond a little after 11:30 saying that will work. He tells me my response is late and he has to move me back to 1. No. I leave for vacation for the weekend, come back Wednesday and unfortunately the shop is closed due to a leak - fine. Try to set up a time for Thursday afternoon - no go. Roll in Friday at lunch trying to get a walk in - this is when I realize that David has lost all his barbers. We set a time for 4:40 - again he texts me at 4:20, after Ive already left work and on my way - Running a lil behind...5 oclock. - okay... I get there at 4:27 - hes just sitting someone (mind you Im nearly bald) - still, no problems Ill be patient, the seat is mine at 5. Well... 5 comes, and theres somehow someone still in the chair. I give it a couple more minutes and then leave, only to receive a text from David shortly thereafter. I simply tell David that I respect his grind, but I dont operate that way - appointments are for professionals, so they can be on the same page for that allocated time - with me, he missed 4 appointments and rescheduled appointments in a 7 day span. David, then says that appointments are nearly suggestions and that if there is someone more important he will put them in front of you in a heartbeat if he doesnt trust you. If youre looking for someone to treat you with respect, and probably charge more reasonable prices - Id go elsewhere.

Visiting Ocala Last week and after driving around trying to find a decent clean shop I was told to come and check this guys out, I was warned it’s not easy to get an appointment which that could mean it’s either too good or too bad, I still took the shot and walked in and yes they were right, this guys are booked most of the day and setting up an appointment was a a lil difficult but I was able to get one, when I came back I had to wait for the barber to finish with the other person in front of me about 5 min wait no big deal, when it was my turn The barber cleaned the chair and tools before I sat on the chair, and that means a lot to me ! After 45 min my service was almost complete not before I get a clean hairline hot shave it’s been years since I had that feeling !! I was more than pleased with the service from Mecca ! Very clean and professional!! Wish you guys the best see you next time

My son is 6 and has been going to Mekka to get his cuts since he was, I don’t know, I wanna say 3. He always does such a nice job, and he is the first barber that my son has ever let cut his hair without throwing a fit. Great place, great people, and great cuts!

Mecca Hair Studio has been a great experience. Coming from Miami, where I had the same barber for 10 years it took me a while to find the right barber shop here in Ocala. My barber is David, who is a very professional, punctual and extremely detailed barber. He takes the time to understand what you want. Mecca is very clean, comfortable and they always have great movies on. I was recommended by my friend, but after a few bad experiences in other barber shops, I was doubtful. But this barber shop exceeded expectations! A few months back I recommended Mecca to a coworker of mine and he is also super content with his cut and with the experience. Thank you David and Mecca!

This place lacks class and professionalism. I set an appointment prior to arriving, made arrangements to leave work early and everything. Was asked to arrive 15 minutes before, which I did. Only to wait 45 min and be told he scheduled me for the next day. When I got up to leave the barber told me not to have an attitude,(as I’m quietly leaving) like if I’m his child or something. Then I told him he was unprofessional, he literally stood there and yelled trying to argue with me across the barbershop. Decent looking place but, maybe try training your barbers on customer interaction, and scheduling.

Great haircuts and clean place, I had to wait about 40 min that was a bum ! but they were really busy and since I keep hearing mixed reviews decided to wait and I was beyond content with the haircut I mean you pay about the same but you get half the quality around the area so yea I’m a new customer now
