Its easy to get a bad comments and rating but when a business receives 5 stars than you know they are providing above and beyond. I would have to say the same for Andy, honestly surprised he even replied back in 30 min on a Sunday afternoon but referred me to another business that was more suited for the repair I needed. I messed up, and Andy fixed it all. I wanted to build a computer, paid close to $800. Andy made us one for cheaper, with better parts. This is probably the last time well be able to afford a computer, but well definitely come back. He even used the spare parts we had to build a second computer! Hes thorough and genuinely seems to care about things besides profit, which is rare. Would give him more stars if I could.

FAIR WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH QUICK TEKS IN NOVI, MI. They call themselves a computer repair company, but they are far from that. I called them in May 2020 to look at my Dell laptop that would not start up. I only called them because my go-to computer repair company was closed due to Covid-19. Quick Teks came to my home and picked up my laptop on May 6th or 7th and returned it on May 10th. They informed me that the motherboard and hard-drive are not good. They then tried to sell me a new laptop. I said no and that I would do some research on the brand they tried to sell me and other brands. Later when I flipped open my returned laptop I saw damage that was not there before Quick Teks picked up my laptop (see attached photos). They had drilled a hole through the keyboard area and in a different area there was a reverse indentation. When I questioned owner Andy about this, his only response was looks like the ground screws came through and the chassis plastic must have become weak. I told him the plastic was not weak and it feels strong and solid. Dont you think that a computer repair company would know how to attach something as simple as ground screws, without damaging the keyboard? I received no appolagy from Andy about his careless workmanship. I left it at that and purchased a new laptop from a different source. A few months later, I took my Quick Teks damaged Dell laptop to my trustworthy go-to computer repair since they had reopened. I wanted to see if they could extract any data from the hard-drive. When they opened the back of my laptop, it was a mess. The RAM memory cards were missing and the hard-drive and battery were not plugged in and there were loose screws and other disconnected components everywhere. I called Andy about this and his only response was why would he want to take my RAM, RAM is cheap, inexpensive. Again, no apology about the missing RAM and their disastrous so called reassembly. I later received a call back from my go-to computer repair company saying that they were able to retrieve some data from my hard-drive and they put it on a thumb drive for me to review. When I got the thumb drive home and looked at it on my newer laptop, the info on it was not mine. It was from a landscaping company in the next city over. The data had customer quotes, pictures of jobs to be completed and billing info. Nothing that I recognized, because I have nothing to do with this landscaping company or any other landscape company. So it looks like that Quick Teks took my original personal hard-drive and replaced it with a hard-drive they had laying around their workplace. Im sure Andy will come back with a reply that this did not happen and this is a fake review and ask me to delete it, which I wont do. To verify all of this, I have a receipt from Quick Teks about the work they completed, along with saved text messages from Andy. I also have saved voice-messages from my go-to computer repair company about the terrible condition my older Dell laptop was in when they received it and the thumb-drive with the landscaping companys info on it. AGAIN - FAIR WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH QUICK TEKS IN NOVI, MI. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED!

I definitely would recommend them to everyone. I went to cyber power and within a year my power supply was malfunctioning. Never going to them again. This company saved me. Andy was very helpful and understanding on my situation. He got back to me with any questions I had instantly. I had such a great experience with this company. My laptop wireless switch wasnt working and they first tried to see if it was something I could quickly fix myself over the phone and when it was determined it wasnt they set up an appointment to come out to my residence to help me fix it. I had a great experience with Andy. He broke everything down for me and got it back working quickly and even got my memory upgraded Thank you!

Andy came by this Tuesday at around 2:40 and did not stop until my computer was set up hours later. He allowed me to observe the entire time and would inform me on what he was doing whenever he was doing it. He has so much knowledge that I felt truly lucky to be able to call quick Tek’s and have a guy like Andy come out and just handle everything for me. This is the second time he’s helped me on two different computers and both times there were issues that would have taken me hours upon hours to even grasp let alone fix. Andy has been talking with me for a month just to help me find the perfect computer for me. After I bricked my PC from water damage from a leaky cooler, Andy and Ben did an amazing job painstakingly repairing all my components and made my system run smoother than ever with some extra build suggestions. Consistent communication was amazing and they put in some late hours to make the repair happen as quickly as possible. I could go on, but in summary, I could not be happier with my interaction with this company and the people running it.

Phone support was amazing they could have taken my money and done a diagnosis to my dismay but instead a well informed troubleshoot was done over the phone (obviously only helps me) and I was saved a visit and subsequential fee. Extremely impressed with this establishment. My MacBook died during a software update just a few days before I had to submit an online assignment for school. The need for a working computer is so vital during this pandemic. I called their number at around 10pm and within a few hours I had one of their techs at my door ready to fix my computer. Andy fixed my laptop within two hours from 12am-2am so when they say they are open 24 hours, they truly mean it. After one of our studio computers went down, Andy came out right away to help. Much of the internal components were fried from a bad power supply, requiring a complete rebuild. Since it was a custom build to begin with, we needed specific components in the rebuild to adequately run studio applications including audio production suites, video editors, and composition software along with particular outboard hardware for these tasks. Within about 24 hours we had a full turnaround with a new machine, by far the fastest and most impressive service weve ever experienced! Andy took the time to communicate every step of the way, offering sound advice and a genuine level of care in the PC rebuild that most other technicians seem to simply disregard. Hes definitely somebody you want to have as a go-to for any PC/Mac repairs/upgrades/services/etc. Thanks for all the help Andy, the new system screams!

If youre wondering why this business has close to 5 stars. Look no further. Whatever you need, theres 100% chance they will get it done for you. My problem was a crashed HDD that I thought was unsalvagable. They took care of it and drove to my house so I didnt even have to go anywhere. I love seeing results. I had a less than three-year-old HP Omen get fried by a bad power supply, including the now obsolete mother board. I found Quick Teks during a google search and gave Andy a call. He came to my home and got the PC and took it back and tested it. Within hours he called and told me all that was wrong with it. I asked him if he could just build a nice custom gaming PC using my Nvidia video card (the Omen did not destroy that, thankfully) and he said he could. I run a resource-hungry flight sim called X-Plane 11. He made sure the PC was spec’d to run this monster. He delivered the PC and had me run the sim while he watched to make sure all was well (looking at core temperatures, adjusting fan speeds, etc.) Since then, I have really put this machine to the test and it hasn’t let me down. He knows his stuff. Quick Teks will be my computer resource from now on. Oh, the price was more than reasonable, too!

Very responsive and knowledgeable, can definitely Build your computer for you, although I hired him twice and both times were unable to achieve what I hired him for, I ended up having to pay For something that never got done. Imaging hiring a carpet cleaner to get a stain out but they are unable to get the stain out, but they still ask to get payed for Atleast coming out and doing something, that’s very similar to what happened to me. I was having trouble getting my pc repaired because all other pc repair places I went to would not fully repair my pc, take weeks and charge me quite a lot of money. I reached out to Quick Teks and got amazing service along with a fast repair time. I have gone to around 3 other places to get my pc fixed and this company is by far the best one. The guy is very smart and knows what he is doing and talking about. This place is the only place I would recommend for anyone to go to if they want quality.

They first came out to to my firm to fix our server. Arrived the same day we called, and had it all set to go in within a few hours. These guys built my son a gaming PC later within the week. For the cheapest I could find someone to build one too. They definitely aim to please you.

Me and a couple of buddies ended up messing around and knocking over our pc and having an error within the pc. We called here and within about 50 minutes of just advice from over the phone, Joe managed to guide us to fix it and ended up saving us money in the end too. They work fast, came out here on the same day that I called, and do a great job. I had 3 of my iMacs go down from a bad power surge. The server wasnt working properly after the surge too. They finished everything on the same day, plus were way cheaper than the Apple store in town here. So happy I dont have to pay a lot of money to have this kind of work done! Ive been having these guys help me for years, and I never thought about leaving a review, so here it is. The first time I had these guys come over was 9 years ago. I had a their tech come over right away, within the hour, and took care of my problem the same day I called. Even though it was a lot of work to do on the computer, they still managed. To this day I wouldnt bother calling anyone else, because they treat you like youre practically family and only want the best for what you want. Ive had them come countless times for all sorts of things i needed done or fixed. I got my fast custom PC built by them, network setup, data backups setup, and many other things done here. Its always done efficiently and for a good price every time. Heck, there were a few times I only had just a unplugged wire or something really simple like that. They still came out right away, and didnt even charge me for the visit. Theyre very honest and clearly have a lot of pride and integrity in their company. I Hope anyone reading this will call them when they have a problem and see what I mean.

Ive been using this company for both my personal and professional IT needs for the last decade. The owner and lead technician is friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He always tries to get me the best deal on parts that he can. Ive never had any issues with anything hes built for me, or with anything hes repaired for me. The attached picture is a PC I recently had him build for me. The previous PC he built me worked great, but my tech needs changed and he was really great about working with me to figure out something that would meet my needs for several years to come.

I called Andy based off his Google reviews and he was fantastic. I called him on a Friday afternoon and he came straight to my office to sit down and work on my laptop issue. He ended up taking it back to his shop and diagnosed that my hard drive was shot. He was able to get a new part, backup all my files, install the new hard drive, install and optimize Windows/drivers and restore all of my files in less than 24 hours (I needed my laptop and files for a Monday am meeting). He met me back at my office the next day (Saturday) and I was back up and running perfectly. Fantastic work and excellent customer service....I would highly recommend Andy.

Incredibly knowledgable staff. I spoke with a gentleman at length about a power supply cable issue and he spent the time to explain what I needed to do. Very helpful!I called because I thought the fan on my laptop needed to be replaced. Within an hour of my call they were able to come pick up the laptop, and only a few hours later they had already run a full diagnostic and called me to let me know what was going on. Andy brought my laptop back the same day along with a written reciept. While I know nothing about computers, Andy was very patient with explaining everything to me in a way I could understand. Unfortunately the problem was with the motherboard and, with the price to replace it, I was better off getting a new laptop. I had black screens and crashes on my gaming pc. Tried a different shop first. They could not fix the problem for 2 weeks and made it worse. Per the 46 consecutive 5 star reviews, decided to contact the quick teks around 3PM Thursday, right after I got my pc back from the initial shop. Spoke with Joe and Andy came to my house at 5:30 PM of the same day. Andy brought back me the pc to my house on Saturday noon, in less than 2 days later from the first contact. After all, too make the long story short, I learned so many things from Andy (not just pc stuff). And yes, he did fix all the problems in less than 2 days. Not only fixed it, but made it better. TRUSTWORTHY is the perfect word to describe Andy. Decided to leave a review for the first time as the 47th.
