Company called to tell me I was at the end of my contract and that theyd like me to sign on for another year. Gave me an exorbitant price - way more than my introductory level (which was actually high to begin with). I declined, found another oil company, and called to let Dominick know I would not be renewing. The customer service rep SCREAMED at me for some time and completely freaked me out, the anger was so sudden and unexpected. I hung up and proceeded to communicate with them only by email from then on. I assumed they would not renew my contract and that our relationship was done. Two weeks later, I am told that they delivered another round of oil and that I owed them over $2000! I asked how it was possible that they would deliver oil after we had so obviously and rancorously parted ways and was told they couldnt stop the delivery! This, in a time of telecommunications - call the truck driver and cancel! You had two weeks to do that! This final delivery is one I refused to pay for. I couldnt tell if it was sheer malice on Dominicks part, if the sales person who yelled at me was embarrassed to admit hed been so awful, or what. I did send them a check for $1600 or so, which was what had rightfully, if expensively, been delivered.And then they sued me. For $814. Took me to small claims court, in a process that dragged on for more than a year, due to Covid. Just a warning, if youre thinking you want to use this company. Never once did they communicate that this fee had been hidden in my original (and illegible) contract - which, if Id known was the case, would have been helpful. Helpful is the antithesis of this company. Caveat emptor.

I have used Dominick for a long time. I have had 4 heating companies since buying this house 30 years ago. They have been the best so far. Very responsive, and most of the time their techs are top notch. I think maybe once I had a problem it took a few tries to solve, but they stick with it and get it done. I recommend them without reservation.

Jim and Steve were great! Having Jim come out was like getting a private tutor for a course on how to maintain our new home. Steve did the heating maintenance professionally and was exceptionally thorough and neat. I am extremely happy with Dominick Fuel so far and highly recommend them. I just moved from Westchester where I was with my previous heating company for 22 years so my expectations were high and they were more than met.

Identified the need to replace our oil tank and replaced it within a day. We use them for oil and propane delivery as well as maintenance of all our equipment. A wonderful family run business. A pleasure to deal with.

They are awful, after calling me to pay the year maintenance service in January knowing that I get oil from them only when I call for fuel, they tried to say that my service was cancel on February 10 because I wasn’t on automatice. The reason for them saying that was because I called for a service and it was greater than what I paid. They are crooks.

Nasty, really nasty company. I believe they deliberately withheld information while we were having a home energy emergency, just to make it difficult or impossible for us to take action to correct the situation. In other words, we believe they deliberately withheld information in order to make it harder for us to resolve the emergency. As to why they would do that, I dont know - but there is something wrong with these people. In essence, we turned to them in good faith for help during our energy emergency, willing and able to pay, and instead of helping us - they intentionally toyed with us, causing the emergency to drag on, apparently for their own sport and amusement. A really, really nasty company. They advertise they will help you, but instead they harm you. remarkable that a company in CT would do this.

Dominicks Fuel excels in service, response and full customer service. Having been a customer of theirs for 22 years. They were always responsive when they were needed for a service call. Most recently when I sold my home in July, they helped provide the lawyer with all the documents needed from them in a timely manner,for the closing. Over the years they installed a new furnace. New oil tank in the basement. after the original one from 1930 was removed from in the ground .

I am currently going through a major renovation at my home. Dominick Fuel has been my oil provider for a few years. I was always happy with the delivery of oil and my new addition was going to be propane. I contacted Dominick and they sent out a technician to just talk to me about what I was looking to do. From that moment Dominick was always in touch in regards to my needs, timeframes, and information that I would need to make my final decisions. When I needed someone from Dominick to come out talk to my contractor again Dominick Fuel came out to discuss the plans for my house. Every email I sent was answered in a quick and timely manner. Every phone call was returned when expected. When it was finally time to install my 3 120 gallon propane tanks I knew when I came home I would be happy with the work that was done. As the project at my house continues it can bring some anxiety but none in regards to my Heating/Air/Propane/Oil needs. I appreciate all that Domnick Fuel has done for my home and family.

Called Dominick Fuel to troubleshoot water heater not working. Steve arrived on time and was able to determine the cause which was not immediately apparent because the unit was not a common one in usage. He had to travel two towns away to purchase the part and spent much more time that is usual for this call because of the part situation.Throughout the trying time he remained pleasant, positive and committed to helping us resolve this problem. Have been using them for fuel delivery for a few years and they are reasonably priced. They came to my house Thanksgiving weekend to fix my heat which stopped working due to a clog in the oil tanks. We had no heat and they came within 2 hours. Fixed the problem. Terrific service.

Great company initially when signing up or moving from another. Incredibly responsive and caring - in the beginning. Just like car dealerships, they are fantastic getting the customer in the door and poor at making an effort to maintain that relationship. Sadly, the longer a customer, the less Dominick Fuel appears to care, there is a failure to listen to and/or respond to customer inquiries often at all, and the customer with questions is seen and treated as a nuisance to be dismissed rather than an asset for the company. Truly disheartening and frustrating, particularly when I firmly believe(d) in supporting hometown business.

Very careful and prompt service for a furnace that was emitting fumes. Also it was leaking water due to a waterpipe that had an obstruction and another technician remedied that. Dominick gives prompt and very good service.

When our old oil burner finally gave out on a cold day in March, Ted and the crew were right on the spot to remove the old one and put in a brand new efficient model. Dominick S. from Dominick Fuel did a great job fixing the burner on our furnace. It was going out and making a grinding noise as it tried to light. He diagnosed it, replaced an internal part and has us up and running in about 15 minutes. He was also patient and took the time to talk about an issue we were having with our air conditioning unit.

Dominick has been giving our family great service for over 30 years!We had a pipe burst above our boiler in our mechanical room this past weekend - Dominick was at our house within an hour. Even though, the broken pipe wasnt part of the boiler system they identified the source of the problem and diverted the water until the right person could address it. We love Dominick Fuel!!!

I was a customer of Dominick Fuel for about three years when we lived in Norwalk. They are a reliable oil delivery company and always delivered service (heat and air conditioning) whenever we needed it.However, I cannot recommend Dominick to friends and family. The overall service wasnt great and I feel that they took advantage of my family when they didnt tell me when my contract was about to expire and I had to pay higher price per gallon .The contract is set for a single year and apparently its up to you (the customer) to remind them to extend it or you will get the current price on monthly basis. Not sure whether this is a common practice in the industry but our rep was extremely rude when we question the price hike and why no one called us to remind about the contract expiration.Think twice before signing the contract with Dominick Fuel - do ask about their intro / new customer price and also what happens when your contract expires.Dominick Fuel, you should never yell at your customers and treat all issues with respect. This is one thing that find completely unacceptable when dealing with yours reps.

I ran into a problem with water in my oil I called Dominic because I had no heat. The guy came out he told me I had wate r in my oil so he did what he to do. He took me around the house he checked every opening he told me everything was sealed shut. Next my ex-sister in law tells me that I cant get anymore oil till we put in a new oil tank! What? They cost 5,000 that I dont have. I called them left a message with the girl. Never got a call back!!, If the oil guy said everything was sealed shut why a new oil tank? When Dominick was here fixing the problem I had to call the office for a price at that point they told me it was not a big deal I would only have to pay for his time. They sure made it into a big deal a 5.000 deal. So where do we go from here? If your oil guy said, everything was shut tight I ended up going to the company they are rude and they dont tell the truth. I had a furnace guy come out I needed my radiators bleed what I was told is that my furnace was never serviced!, What! They came every year for the past 20 or more years to do a cleaning it was not serviced in years i was told. Be aware of what they are doing my ex-father in law was taken advantage of for years from them they are the worst oil company

This company is horrible and the woman that answers the phone is disgusting. We were charged $1000 3 weeks ago and it seemed like there was a problem with the charge. I called and after being on hold for 15 min the phone person came back to tell me she had absolutely no idea why I was charged and would send someone out. The gentleman that came out told me that I had plenty of oil and the office said they were refunding me and I wouldnt need a delivery until the spring. Today I woke up to another 1000 charge from Dominick and they already delivered. When I called the office again I was insulted and told that I have some personal problem going on and it wasnt their problem. Then she hung up on me. What??? A personal problem??? Dominick fuel has no control over their work orders and zero customer service. Im taking my card off of their automatic delivery until I find someone else to work with. If you want thieves with no class, these guys are for you.

I have been really happy with my heating/cooling company, Dominick Fuel. They have been doing the maintenance on my HVAC systems for about a year, and I purchased heating oil from them all winter. Whenever I call them, Mike is friendly and helpful and remembers me personally.The other day Teddy came to do the annual check-up on the air-conditioning system, and did such a professional job. He was on time, respectful of me and my home, highly knowledgeable and very efficient. He located a problem with the system and thoroughly explained what was wrong, and what repairs were needed.I will continue using Dominick Fuel and appreciate their great service!

Easy IN / DIFFICULT OUT ! Your loyalty doesnt count even after 35 years !20 % more expensive heating oil and 35 % more expensive maintenance plans than local competition such as the giants SANTA FUEL & STANDARD OIL.We have been with Dominick for over 35 years ! . For the first time I looked at their rates ( on our invoice) compared to the market and realized we could have gotten better deals elsewhere (40 cents - 60 cents, less per gallon ) and I am not talking about those 1 truck company or COD ( cash on delivery ).We called Dominick several times and tried to work something out or at least get out safely - The lady who answers the phone ( Debra ) was not allowed to address simple account issues, thus never had the answers. She had to transfer the calls to her boss, Charlie who had no idea what he was talking about and was quick to push back before he even got the question.The big break came when I spoke with Mrs. Sandy Dominick : ) - She was very pleasant and personable and she offered us a discount (though it was still not at a competitive rate).We switched to Santa Fuel which supplies also some of our neighbors with heating oil.after speaking with Ms. S Dominick, I have added 2 more stars ( update from * to *** ) .We wish Dominick company and Dominick family the best.

We had a difficult financial year this year and was hoping to get on their payment plan option, but their policies make that inmpossible for a family of 5 that has fallen on hard times. To top it off they left a voicemail saying not nice things about us after they thought they hand hung the phone up. Family company my butt. After being a customer for 5 years I’ll will be looking elsewhere.
