My last time! So I was into the Firestone store this morning for an oil change. Ive been coming for many years now with both a Buick and Volvo. Its always been straightforward sort of stuff, oil changes, tire replacement, alignments. All stuff well within their wheelhouse of what I can trust them to do. Today was infuriating. I had an 8:00 AM appointment for a simple lube, oil and filter change. I brought the car in on time, they confirmed that I would be waiting, and thats what I did. WAIT! Over two hours for an oil change. They took the car in right away, but then it just sat. What really sent me over the edge though was that someone came in with an 8:30 AM appointment, was paid and gone by 9:30 AM while mine still sat. Waiting in a communal space wearing a mask is bad enough, add to that bad service from people that I no longer trust to know what theyre doing, that put me over the edge. In the end, we settled up, I was polite and walked out the door and that will be the last time I walk through those doors.
Was told by a friend that they had a great experience at an other location. The team at the North Reading location got my car fixed in a reasonable time frame considering now a days its hard to find a shop that is fully staffed. I trust Firrestone with all my car repair needs.
I had my new tires dropped shipped to this location,. The installation cost and wheel alignment were exactly as quoted by the manager when I made my appointment. Friendly staff, quick service. I have had multiple vehicles serviced at this location since it first opened, that says it all.
These guys are great. Ran over a razor blade in the street and had a very rapid leak. Thank God these guys were right down the street. They had me up and running in less than 20 minutes. Didn’t even skip a beat. Great, clean place with attentive staff. Worth your time and business.
Don’t go to this Firestone. I have been a Firestone customer since my first car in Virginia, over 10 years ago. What happened at this Firestone is reason enough for me to never visit another Firestone. This is a top down problem. “I’m just the sales guy”, “No techs are here, come back tomorrow”. NOT wearing masks.It’s not the kids’ fault working there, they’re just kids. It’s the owners and corporate.I brought my car in because the alarm was randomly going off and there was a “hood open” notice; after paying $1500 and expressly describing the problem, they gave me my car back with a “hood open” notice still flashing. I immediately told them it still says “hood open”. He yelled at me, “it’s because the hood is open” as he slammed it shut five times, the “hood open” notice was still there after he slammed my hood five times. He then asks me to drive it home while the car is beeping at me “hood open” and come back tomorrow.I should have known better than to take my car home. The alarm went off in the middle of the night, waking the neighborhood. I couldn’t go back to sleep.I immediately took it to another mechanic. THEY LEFT A WRENCH IN MY ENGINE. The wrench size used for disconnecting the battery . . . Enough said.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FIRESTONE NORTH READING!!! The price is fair, but they do not know what they are doing. I would give it 0 stars but not an option. I brought my wife’s Honda in for an oil change and battery replacement. After a 90 minute wait, they came out and said that I would have to take it to the dealer to get the radio working. They came up with every excuse as to why they were not able to fix. All the tech had to do was to read the screen in the car as it clearly said to enter the code OR press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. I voted for right to repair twice and maybe I shouldn’t have. If they are unable to complete the repair and read simple instructions, then maybe they should not be working on today’s cars. Too bad as they used to be great but this is the last straw as last time they replaced the rear and not the front brakes as asked for. Clearly just a lazy bunch of techs.

Fantastic and reliable service. I stopped by to have snow tires put on a new set of rims on my Mercedes-Benz E550. The work took longer than expected as they were backed up which wasn’t a problem, it happens. However they said the service was on the house due to the wait time. The people here know customer service, highly recommend taking your vehicle here.
Do not recommend going here! I asked for specific tires to be ordered and put onto my car. When I arrived to pick it up, the tires were not what I ordered. The kid working acted like he had no idea what happened even though I talked to him, in person, the day before. Tires were gross and not cleaned. They still had grease on them. Before going here I never had car issues. Now I have tire and alignment issues all the time. Regret going here everyday.

I paid two grand for bearings brakes and pads they messed work up. I went to another branch thinking as a company they would resolve . The other branch looked at work . Said we cant do anything. Then the other branch after seeing my account and work done held car. Then an rep came in who didnt know rep said there is issue witj how they set your breaks and pressed bearings . So I made apt here tp address noises wotj breaks and bearings and thats that. Left car with other branch thinking it wad real w but got call saying v we cant do anything. So I todws car to here. Rjey claim to have looked at work and failed to toghtnw my right lug Nita properly a d as I drove home i lost 3 nuts and my car almost crashed I have 5000dollars in damage to my car now. Thwy will argue and ND mark up a part and act like socialists. Some dealers are cheaper hey use dealers for parts and serve expieirn. They feed to do work to my standards after 20000. Then they got info from another branch I wad not happy. Then they face to secure my lig nits causing damage to my steering break and pinions. I asked for parts back when when wnt in . They said we send them back. Then today they said we have them but the argumentative cj would not talk to me. Update one bearing already failed

I recently went to Firestone for new tires. After specifically telling them that rear right tire needs to be changed, they only changed the front one. They also recommended tire alignment at that time. So, i had a puncture again in 3 days. So, i went back, they apologized, remove the nail and after strongly arguing, they rotated my tires and did alignment on my tires. I paid $93 for alignment and the very next day, started having problems (weird noise from rear, car going on left/right side on 40mph) with my car. I have never had these problems before. I am the guy who paid to get the problems in my car. I went back to firestone the third time, they checked the car and said alignment is way out and they needed to get fixed, 15 mins later, the mechanic said, there is nothing wrong with the alignment and car passed on the machine and there is nothing they can do. Now, they have recommended me to go to another Firestone to get it checked, this was my first and would be last time at Firestone, please get some mechanics who are wiling to fix the car rather than breaking it.
My family has been coming here for years. I brought my Camry in that rumbled. They said it had frozen calipers and needed front brakes and quoted a price about $780 with a lifetime warranty. When we picked it up, we showed the guy our receipt from them in 2018 that they already did front brake work of $270.25 plus tax and asked if that was covered under warranty. The kid didnt know and said he would credit us ($133.00). Then he charged us $700.20. My husband argued with him if the quote was $780 and you credit ($133) we should be paying about $650 not $700. The guy showed us the receipt on the monitor, but did not print it. He emailed it to us. He said it was sales tax, but my husband even said tax on the monitor was $31.93 so that still wouldnt add up to $700. My husband kept telling him to do the math. The receipt tacked on a Car Care Package of $10 plus Supplies $10 to make the $20 difference. I never had a quoted price not include all the extra charges they add. And why he only credited us ($133) when we paid $270.25 in 2018 is a mystery to me. The guy was a young worker and absolutely clueless.
I had perhaps the most pleasant and professional experience in maintaining my Dodge Ram Cargo Van that I have ever had, and Im over 70! Your store manager (C.J. in the North Reading, MASS station) suggested a Destination tire but when I test drove it, it was still too loud, so he immediately swapped the tires with a quieter variety, which was a perfect solution. The entire team in North Reading is very pleasant and professional. I will be sure to go back again. I feel I got good value and excellent service.

Was just here for some minor issues from last repair a few weeks ago. Manager AJ, and Mike were both very friendly and concerned that these issues happened after my last service here. Mike whent right to work on on the repairs fast quick repair I was out within a half an hour. AJ apologized about this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS!!!! Stopped in on a busy Saturday with a leaky tire. Apparently there was a gash on the foreskin of the tire and it needed to be replaced. My first thought was ugh I need to spend more money ugh ugh. But I originally bought my tires here with protection and my total bill was WAY less than I expected and had me out of there in a timely manor. Everyone there always has a great attitude and would Advise anyone to visit the north reading location. Keep up the good work guys!!!
Ive had mixed experiences. Have been in and out quick and then Ive waited many hours. But thats just oil changes and tires. I need to have some real mechanical work done and Im debating on bringing my Jeep there. But I know these mechanics dont make much money so Im kind of leery what experience they have. But the real kicker thats throwing me off is this totally mixed bag of reviews which makes so unsure whether to bring my Jeep there for repairs or not? What to do what to do?
Deceitful and unreliable. Tried to sell me two tires for a tire with a slow leak. When I declined, they kept my lug nut lock and allowed me to leave with dangerously low tire pressure. I recovered the lug nut only after another competitor worked on my vehicle the same day. Scottys tire which is only .7 miles north of their location, took care of the slow leak and pointed out to me the missing lock. Otherwise, I wouldnt have noticed. Scottys tire has a new customer in me. Ill finish this review by noting that Scottys tire opted not to charge me because of the distress Firestone caused me. I recently completed a survey sent from Firestone airing out my concerns. No follow up as of yet. PS I ranked one star in order to post this review. They dont even deserve one star!
I went in to this location for tire balancing and alignment.Andrew, the service advisor, was very friendly and able to get me in quickly with very short notice. Nick, the tech that worked on my vehicle, was very thorough and knowledgeable. I watched him remount a tire a second time in order to rotate it on the wheel for optimal balance. Most techs would have placed a weight and called it good.I am very pleased with the service, communication, and willingness to go the extra mile at this location.

I called ahead and scheduled an appointment for 3pm to have my transmission fluid change and a new pan put in as well as balancing and aligning my wheels. Tom explained to me that it was a 3 hour job which is why the fluid and pan alone were going to cost $600 which I found to be a bit drastic but needed to get it done anyway. They close at 7 so I asked if they were sure they’d be able to get it done in time because he made it sound like it was difficult to do and he assured me they would. I dropped the truck off at the correct time, and waited till about 5:45pm to call and get an update. Tom answered and proceeded to tell me they were just starting to work on my truck then. So now they were going to do this “3 hour job” in a little over an hour. I got there a little before 7 to pick up my truck and it was still not quite done yet. So my truck sat there for 4 hours and they hadn’t even finished the the transmission fluid. Not to mention they never balanced and aligned my wheels, and they never even mentioned it I just happen to notice on the receipt before I left that it wasn’t on there. So I asked and the response was “no we didn’t have a chance to do it because you were in a rush.” I was because they did not stick to the appointment time, and clearly the transmission fluid does not take three hours so there was more than enough time in the 4 hour window they had to complete everything. On top of that there was absolutely nothing done to compensate for the slack on their end. At the least call and notify me that it’s going to take longer than expected, something. This is not the first time they have not stuck to an appointment time. They have one mechanic there I believe his name is Greg that is great, a pleasure to deal with. Other than that I would not recommend this place at all.
Ive gone to this location for brakes and suspension. I had my rear brakes replaced a year ago and they were making some noise, I brought my car in for suspension and front brakes today and had them look over the rear brakes. I told them to call me before doing anything to the rear brakes because I didnt want to pay anything and would rather do it myself.They called me saying they had already did the brakes without my authorization so they gave it to me for free which I am ecstatic about. Unlike small repair shops, Firestone will stick to their warranty and not try and screw you over little things.Huge perk of going with a large chain rather than a small independent shop.
These guys were amazing! Andrew and the man that changed my tire ( I didn’t get his name ) took care of me in crisis! A blade lodged in my tire on the way home and they took me right away. Customer service was awesome. I appreciate all their help. Thank you guys!
Tried it for first time for a synthetic oil change. Suggested some add ons - brake fluid change. The prices were very fair. Place appears new, it is clean and has a large service bay. Took me in on time and was done when promised. Salesman was considerate and polite. Easy in/out. If you want to wait, there are restaurants nearby.

Every time I bring my car here they are extremely helpful and professional! Trust them with what they say actually needs to be fixed. They never push you to have anything more done to the car then you want.

Cannot recommend for higher end cars needing mounting of low profile tires. Despite having an appointment, I was told that I would have to wait two hours before work would even start. And then was told I had to supply 4 lift discs to make it possible to use their lift instead of simply a jack. They seem to have a lot of requirements of the customer, not so much of themselves. I drove an hour there and back, with an appointment. Never again.
They told me I needed rear brakes. 6 Weeks ago when they replaced my front brakes they told me my rear brakes were fine. 6 weeks later they need replacement???? Gave me a quote of over $500. Took them for a second opinion at another shop. I DONT NEED REAR BRAKES.

They were great. I pretty much just walked in around 9 and throw my keys at them and said fix it. They were very nice good customer service. Did a good amount of work in 4 hours. Dont be afraid to make a deal with them too. I got 1400$ worth the work for 995$. I will go back.

There was a popping noise coming from the front suspension of my Buick Enclave. I drove the car to Firestone thinking that the problem was going to cost me an arm and a leg. Fortunately, it turned out the pin from the brake caliper was loose. The mechanic Marc solved the issue and now I am enjoying the ride.For that, I thank you for your honesty.
Went for a tire and wheel replacement and they have done an excellent job. Also, i had an issue with TPMS ON and they could identify the issue and provided recommendation on the next steps.

The people and service is great. Unfortunately I decided to support my hometown business with the purchase of my tires. They told me after the purchase that their was no hazard insurance. My family and I had previously purchased our tires from direct tire on 114 in Peabody and they stood behind the purchase. I had a tire replaced for 0 dollars in my previous car and my husband also.
I arrived at the Firestone located on Main Street in North Reading on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 4:30 PM. I had a nail in the tire. But the manager said he can’t do anything about it because they close at 5:00. I told him that the closing time is at 6:00 according to the website. Even if the closing time is at 5:00, there is still time to extract the nail and patch my tire.He clearly did not want to be bothered and to accommodate me due to laziness. I explained to him that I spent thousands of dollars on my previous purchases and services at this particular Firestone. Now I need help on a Saturday afternoon, it will only takes 10 minutes to patch a tire. The manager said that I could bring my vehicle tomorrow and leave it for the whole day. He maybe able to fix the tire. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed and took my vehicle to another shop. Come to find out, the nail didn’t penetrate the tire and the mechanic just pull the nail out and did not even charge me.I will take my business elsewhere from now on. There are so many tire places around. Goodbye Firestone.

Honest and awesome service from Luis Higs & Michael Gaudet! All the employees there were very nice, and I witnessed them taking great care of other customers too.I had received a rejection sticker from a different establishment that to me seemed questionable. Luis said they would check it out for me. After a short while, Luis brought me to my Jeep and Lead Technician Michael Gaudet explained that there was nothing wrong with the front ball joints. This saved me hundreds of dollars. They explained what I needed to do to remedy the situation. There was no charge for their service, but theyve earned a customer for life!
Went in for tires. Was told i should get an alignment even though my van drove straight. After getting this done I drove off and the van pulled to the right. I then brought the van back in and the tech said my alignment was way off and it should be better now. I drove off again and it pulled to the right. I went back a 3rd time and the person that worked there told me I should come back so someone can fix it that knows how. So I went back again got another alignment and it’s worse than ever. It gets a bit scary driving a vehicle that pulls you into break down lanes
I made the appointment in advance for a tire rotation. I was told there would be no charge. I have a Jeep and a special lock is needed to unlock the tires and I informed them it was in the glove compartment. Half way through the appointment they asked me if I wanted them to reset the code on the dashboard so the system would recognize the change of tires....oh for an additional $20. THAT IS AUTOMATIC...there is NO NEED to make such a reset! Further, they charged me $20 for the rotation after being told there was no cost! FINALLY, I got in my vehicle and everything they took out of my glove box was all over the passenger seat! They never bothered to put anything back. I gave this review one star because there was no option for less!
If I could give them zero stars I would. Showed up to drop off my car and they never made an appointment when I called the first time. Set me up for an appointment the following weekend for tires and they said everything was ordered. Dropped the car off Friday night get a call this morning that only an oil change was done they never ordered the tires and I could bring it by next weekend. This is completely unacceptable. No more wasting my time! I’m heading to town fair tire. This is the worst establishment and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE.

Got an oil change. Soon after, theres a burning smell. I thought it was a bit of oil drops which would burn off (not uncommon). After driving for a few weeks, the smell was still there. Took to my regular mechanic. The oil was almost GONE. I only drove 1200 miles, so they cheated me out of a full oil change. Also, did!t tighten the cap enough so there was oil splattered everywhere! There is STILL a burning smell that was never there before I took it to this place.

Maybe I just caught them on a bad day. Had terrible service. 4 hour wait (mothers day) despite the gaurnetee of in and out service. Put the wrong oil in and not even sure they corrected that. Still charged me. Been a customer for 12 years. Will not be going back. I understand stuff happens but nothing was done to make it right.Update: went back again at a later date and they didnt fix the issue. Instead they replaced the incorrect item and still tried to charge me over 2K. In the end they wasted 4 more hours of my life and charged me 10 bucks... for nothing. I should send them an invoice for my time. Will never go back again.

This is a place that once you get past the rudeness from the owner, it can be...meh. You know going in, that:1). Staff has minimal training.2). You will be overcharged.3). Expect to wait a looooooooong time. I came in for a tire patch and waited 5 HOURS and they wanted to upsell me $800 in tires. I literally lololololol. Then, said no.If, you have a good sense of humor like I do, youll take it in stride, otherwise, avoid it like the plague, until they get their act together.
On Friday August 4, 2017 after speaking to someone late in the day the night before about getting a stem put in my tire I went in the No.Reading Store as the associate had asked me to because they wernt able to fix it then. I went first thing in the morning. When I got there they took my tire and emeditatly started working on it. After working on it he explained to me that tire was ruined and I would need another tire. He gave me a quote and I told them I would shop around and get back to them. Before leaving they gave me the best price and said that the service they did earlier would be included if I bought the tire through them. I went home and called around and was able to only find one other place that had the tire instock and they were able to match the price. I called Firestone Tire back and decided to give them the business because of how I was treated from this morning. Very pleasant and professional. They ordered the tire and replaced it with no additional cost. One other thing I would like to point out is the fact that they were able to use the same Stem with the sensor built into it wich is very expensive to replace. I feel if I went any other place they would have automatically told me I needed a new one. I would go back in a heartbeat and would recommend Firestone my friends and family to go there! Used to choose this place over any of the dealers I went to, bmw audi or mercedes but just had to delete my 5 star review. I call saturday for an appointment for the following day. I arrive sunday morning at 11 driving half an hour and find out no one put me in the system and they are short on staff and a quick sorry as an answer
Ugh. The owner, bless his heart, doesnt understand how he comes across...not customer friendly. He tried to upsell me and a 30 minute job turned into a protracted hour and a half job, to fill and plug my tire.
They did a good job swapping tires on my Bimmer and they use modern Road Force Balancing. Its not a quick lube place, so expect to wait.
