My car was acting up on me and I had to go to work so I looked for a budget rental since Im a long time customer. Found this one very close to my location. they treated me like gold. gave me a great car, made an extension very easy and a quick return a breeze. Mark and Becky are the best.

They literally gave my reservation away and left me and my family stranded at the airport at 11:00 p.m. at night.. Never ever use Budget rent a car. Its an excuse for a company!!!!

Worst customer service ever! Wish I didnt have to put a star! Reserved my truck almost a month ahead to plan everything out for my move. Got my conformation send 2 days before my move by email stating get ready to pick up my truck. I constantly checked to make sure my reservations was good all month. I get a text from the manager saying our 26 ft truck wasnt there and that the company over books reservations all the time when they dont have the vehicles. I call corporate because my email states it is only to wait on a district manager to call back. We call again the lady said your truck should be there. We call today only to get cursed at by the manager Mark at north woods saying he already told us the trucks not F here and theres nothing I can do about it. I call corporate again because its our pick up date and were supposed to get the truck in an hr. They asked us again to wait 15 min to 2 hrs for a district manager to call back. We call again only to be told oh its been canceled. I said how can you cancel our reservation with out a notice and when was we canceled because we was supposed to get the truck at 11:30 am I was told we was canceled around 1pm. Nice customer service!!! Thankfully uhaul gave us the same size for same price last minute because budget is incompetent! We work for a storage company and we will never send our customers to Budget. Ill send all my customers to Uhaul!!!

Prepaid for a car reservation $165. Show up and they tell me they don’t have any cars to rent me and they’re sorry but when you make prepaid reservation online the inventory is unknown. Now I have prepaid AND got a confirmation so I canceled my flights.Want to give me a number to call for a refund. I call and they tell me since it’s no fault of my own they will refund me 100% and not charge me the $150 fee. Look online today. They refunded me $15 only and DID charge me the $150 fee for my troubles. Never dealing with Budget again. Thankfully Hertz saved the day!!!!

This is our go to location for car rentals! I highly recommend this location, as it is family owned and operated. We drive up to NY a couple times a year and the owners always work with us to get us the best car. The last car had excellent gas mileage (39-59 mpg) which was a great money saver. They never hesitate to upgrade our car if their supply is limited. We are always taken care of very quickly and courteously. They treat us like family!

Great customer service. Especially on short notice. I needed a same day rental reservation and they accommodated me with no trouble.*Maps says they are located inside the mall. They are actually in a different building between the skating rink and belk. Call for specifics.

Mr Mark is a very good man to do business with. Ive rented many cars from many places but Ive never been more pleased than I am with Mr Mark and his staff at this location. I would highly recommend him to anyone living here and needing a rental or someone from out of town. This is how customer service should be. Thank you for the great service.

Rent a car from Mark StanleyWas really friendly on the price worked with us wasn’t bad until we return the car we got the car from him it had less than a quarter tank of gas return the car before the time the car need to be returned and It had a little more than half a tank of gas now he’s charging us almost $10 a gallon of gas for the van that we rented. This is absolutely wrong if you wanted us to return the van with a full tank of gas you should’ve given it to us with a full tank of gas this man is cheating good people out of their hard earned money I will never go to this budget car rental again

Great people, very helpful and friendly. Service was very quick too, that was probably due to picking up early in the morning though. And because they didnt have the cheap option that I reserved I got a bigger, nicer car.

Made a truck reservation online for the following day at the Ashley phosphate location, and received confirmation. Was told to call this company to see if someone would be able to help me get a truck. Was told they’re reservation system isn’t good. And that the other location should have called around for me. Mentioned this was an inconvenience, was told “yep,yep” then hung up on. Great customer service guys

Dont rent from Budget! Bad business ethics!Totally dishonest company with horrible customer service. I rented a standard size SUV online but when I arrived at the Northwoods Blvd. pickup location, they gave me a midsize SUV. I told them that I needed the space of the standard size SUV that I rented online and they argued insistantly that what they were offering me was a standard size SUV, which it was not. I asked if they had any other standard size SUVs and they said they didnt but if I wanted to give them an extra $150 they would put me in a larger SUV. I asked them if they could call the other Budget to see if they had a standard SUV and they said they couldnt. When I called the other Budget rental company myself, they also argued and insisted that the vehicle they offered me was a standard not a midsize and said that they did not have any other standard size SUVs either but if I wanted to give them an extra $150, they would put me in a larger vehicle ss well.Just because a mid sized SUV seats a lot of passengers does not mean it has the same capacity as a standard size SUV. This company is deceitful and the customer is the one that has to pay for their mistakes and ignorance.Because of time constraints, we had to spend the entire trip cramped in a midsize vehicle after having paid for a standard size vehicle. If you want to get what you pay for with friendly customer service, do not rent from budget. ENTERPRISE is a much better option.

If I could give negative stars I would!! Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life!!! My credit card chip wouldn’t read on the owners computer, probably because of the dust build up. Owner then told me that I couldn’t use my debit card, actually telling me I had bad credit without even running a credit check! I called cooperate office to ask if I could pay over the phone which was no problem only if franchise owner said it was ok and of course he said no. Went up the street to enterprise who took care of my last minute reservation with a military discount! Thanks enterprise

Guy at the counter took one look at us and said we couldnt rent a car after I already paid on line. What a joke. Paid 320 dollars and now I have to wait up to 7 days to get my money back n I would suggest to go elsewhere!.

I had a great experience at this location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, addressed my needs quickly, and treated me like a person rather than just a number. I will definitely be using this Budget location again in the future.

Called to confirm time that they closed and was told 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:40 pm to find the store closed and the store hours had been scratched off the door. There was a young lady that had been there since 4:00 trying to return a car as well. Totally seems like a scam to me. Will never use this location or Budget again.

They seemed unconcerned that either their address is still their old location or that GPS navigation is leading people to their old location. Its very frustrating when your lacking time and you need to be there by a certain time to not get charged. I called and got the automated system and then my husband called at the same time and got in touch. Its something that they can fix and the fact that they havent shows how much they care. The other reviews are spot on, the people are rude and dont belong at the front desk of a business! They are very nonchalant and seem miserable in their lives. Other than that, I got what I came for and I was miraculously on time for work.

Worst customer service ever. Definitely will not be returning to this location. I showed up to pick up my reserved vehicle. He informed me there is 100 hold to rent the car. No problem I gave him my card and he tells me its not going through. I check all my bank acct info and the money is there so I tell him the money is there I dont understand why its not allowing the charge to be made. His response was your bank may say it is but my computer says its not. So I ask him to try again he huffs and puffs and goes OK gonna be the same result. Ok I ask if my sister can use her card to put the hold on. The answer flat out NO! Ok I said cancel the reservation this is ridiculous not only do I not have a car I dont have the 150 that yall gladly took out of my acct when I made the reservation. His response was I didnt make the reservation you did! Call the company and see what they can do for you. At this point Im furious go to my car and call budget. Budget is super informative and tells me a credit check is made when using a debit card and that is the reason I cant be approved for a car. That was a simple reasonable response and had I been told that by the guy behind the counter it wouldnt have been an issue. He never once mentioned anything about credit. Instead just made sarcastic rude comments without offering any solution at all. I would not recommend this place at all. He doesnt care if you leave with or without a vehicle.

If I can give 0 star I will give it 100%. The guy, the only employee there plus I guess thats his wife are both rude and grumpy old people. I reserved a standard SUV and he gave us a Terrain GMC which is a mid-size SUV. When I complained, he insisted that its considered a standard SUV. Because he already showed the attitude and his wife, I didnt argue anymore. We didnt want to get late w/ my appointment, and I didnt want to ruin my day, so I decided not to complain any further. With those kind of people, I will not stoop down to their level since theres only $7 difference in the rate of a mid-size and a standard SUV. My thing is, if youre running a business, thats not how you treat your customers. Ive rented a car w/ them in the past but this last one is the worse. If you treated other people wrong, one day these things will come back to you. I will spread to other people how you treat your customers. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I booked online at a discount website, but they did not have a car when I came out my appointed time. They were super polite and apologetic about it, even though I wasn’t able to Rent-A-Car I’ll give them five stars for excellent customer service.

They owner text my phone and said return my car after I had already extended it through Reservation center... time before that had a reservation before closing and told me he had no cars but the ones for people with (Reservations) 🤔😂... then instead of upgrading me because of no cars was supposedly available he down down graded me because everyone would have to charge more... had to call corporate office to look into it to have half of my money refunded with a upgrade and to be told how bad they want him off there franchise... budget and a a visit is the far most best company besides this location... I think its more of a stereotype of business than a customer service place...And they need to look more into this place as it is not about the customer satisfaction... local people who goes there dont like it... but the owners son is the best... cant wait till son takes over after the ole man crokes....

Do not rent from this rental location was 2 hours late returning vehicle after speaker to the guy who runs the budget and explaining the situation, and still was a charged a full day rental. I have rented from other locations that didnt mind you not being on time considering things do tend to happen
