I’ve been going here for a few years now. The service is always nice. Unfortunately I’m moving so I’m going to miss this place.

I visited Smooth to get my back waxed. My wifes friend is a regular and recommended Karie. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled time. I completed the first time visitor form and proceeded to the waiting area. Karie was very nice and professional. She calmed my nerves since it had been some time since my previous back waxing. The entire process took 30 minutes. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic the whole process was simple. Salute to Smooth and its staff. I will definitely be back!

Took my girlfriend there and although I cannot speak for her experience, I was treated very well and the staff was very friendly. Took time to give me information about their after care products and their recommendations. Will definitely take my girlfriend back when shes ready

Reese is an AMAZING waxer. Shes the best waxer I have gone to in over 2years of getting waxed. Reese is super friendly, super knowledgeable, and a very fast waxer. I highly recommend going to her for any of your waxing needs!

It was my first time visiting this place… I chose it because it had great reviews. The place itself is cute and the esthetician I had was nice. What I don’t appreciate is their policy on retinol. If you have used a product with retinol within the past 2 weeks, they won’t wax you. I came to get my eyebrows done for pictures I have later this week (because I need them to look amazing!), but because I use a product with retinol, I was told I must have them tweezed instead of waxed. I signed the consent form and informed her that I’ve never had an issue in the many years I’ve gotten mine done elsewhere while using my retinol product— implying that I was fine with being waxed. If I sign a consent form I should be consenting to allow the use of wax instead of being tweezed. Yes, I understand there are rules but like I said, I acknowledged the consent form and signed off so any liability would not have been on them. Nowhere on the website could I find this information where it recommends to refrain from using retinol products before a wax. Had I known this would happen, I would’ve just rescheduled. I paid almost $20 just to have my eyebrows tweezed… not very happy about that. Could’ve done that myself at home.

I had a great aesthetician work on my Brazilian for me. Great costumer service and everything was very cute and clean.However, the reason I am giving my review three starts is because after three days I had patches growing back. With tip I paid someone close to $80 and had major patches growing back.. I could have shaved and gotten similar results for half the trouble :/ I ended up canceling my boyfriends appointment because men’s waxing costs more. I wish I could give this place a better review but the price and the results just were not worth it.

I love coming here!! All of the staff is nice and caring. They are clean, thorough and very professional. The young lady I used to see no longer works there BUT today I saw Amari (sp) and she was AMAZING! Highly recommend you ask for her; and that you try Smooth out altogether.

I got my first ever brazillian here with Amber and she was amazing! She talks to you the whole time, makes it comfortable and quick. This place is nonjudgemental as well which helped eased my anxiety as well. It was painless and the best first time i could ever ask for. 10/10 recommend :)

Horrible quality of professionalism. This place has poor communication and doesn’t care if you are late, but will gladly charge a late fee even if you’re in a car accident. This place is only out for money. There are better places to go that make you feel cared for. Panache and the body chateau are way better at making their customers feel like they are people, this place is garbage at doing that.

I drove very out of the way to come here & have Shelby do my eyebrows & I am so glad that i did! This was my first “professional” waxing. I had been going to the nail salons & now my life is changed forever. I’ve been telling everyone i know to make the switch ASAP.Shelby was great, she was efficient & made me feel comfortable. I have been coming here for close to 2 years now. Everyone there is super friendly. The girls up front already have me checked in as soon as I walk in the door and are super nice every time. Sometimes I will be a few minutes late and they always make it work for me. My girl Kat is the bomb also at waxes!! Location is super convenient too, I live a hour away so I really look forward to my monthly Friday morning visit. After I’m done I walk to the mall.

Smooth is the only place I would ever let wax me. I get Brazilians done here, and they are all so professional and clean. No double dipping, both hard & soft wax used (depending on the area of skin), and very Covid-19 friendly (temp checks for both staff & clients).

I’ve been going to Smooth for years and they’ve always impressed me with how cleanly, punctual, and all around great they are. I’m a germaphobe so finding a place I trusted was scary for me, but Smooth is the one place I trust. They are always consistent and I 100% recommend them.

If you are plus size and are self conscience about coming to get waxed downtown DONT BE!! The manager Chanel and my esthetician Karie made me feel like any other woman when they walked in the door..special. The aroma when you walk in the door is intoxicating, It smells SO GOOD. The decor is simple and beautiful. and the waiting area was nice as well, making you feel relaxed. When I came in they had me fill out a form and I was good to go. Karie greeted me with a warm welcome and after I told her how nervous I was about my size she immediately turned off any negative thoughts/comments I could have had about being bigger and coming to get a Brazilian. Karie made my first experience with getting a Brazilian so worth it, she kept the conversation going the entire time and I almost forgot what I was getting until she said I was done. I have already rebooked with her! GO SEE HER! She is awesome and so is the entire staff at SMOOTH! I cant wait to come back!!

I have been getting my waxes here since I started my wax journey and I love it every time! The estheticians are attentive, knowledgeable, and makes the process less painful! 😆 The receptionists are also very nice too. They are always willing to accommodate my schedule and I really appreciate that.

Nikki changed my skin. I came to her with severe cystic acne after I had tried everything - medications, diet changes, and endless different skincare options. We did three back to back facials (one month apart) to start, and then went to 3-4 facials a year. It has been over 3 years and with my quarterly facials my skin has remained for the most part clear. She always helps me go through any changes I need to make in my skin care routine, and is never remotely pushy with any of their products like a lot of spas are. The product line, by the way, is amazing and they sell it much cheaper than you can purchase it even on Amazon.I also use Smooth for waxing and see Nikki or Mary. Ive been going there for over 7 years and have never been anything but thrilled. I have incredibly sensitive skin and their house wax does a great job without irritating my skin. A few months before my wedding I got my brows done somewhere else that completely messed up my brows (they made the left one about half the thickness of the right). Within three sessions they had returned my brows to a reasonable shape.While youre here make sure to check out the retail space. Its a carefully curated selection of treat yo self goodies. Luxury candles, bubble baths, and skin care mixed with sassy socks and greeting cards. I find new treasures every time Im in, and actually do a large percentage of my Christmas shopping here.

Easy to make an appointment. Everyone was very cheery and personable. I was in and out in what felt like record time. And not to mention my eyebrows looked perfect! Not too much or too little taken off. Definitely recommend

Mary does an excellent job with my Brazilian. She uses a combination of hard and soft wax. Ive been to marry a few times here it is the only place I go for my Brazilian because I dont get bumpy after, the process is not nearly as painful is when I go to other places, and if you come back within 4 weeks your Brazilians only $50. I love the aroma and the atmosphere here? They also have a neat little shop out front where they sell incense candles socks bags and other cool items with neat and funny sayings

Today was my first visit and I think it is an adorable little shop. It was a gorgeous day so I enjoyed being able to park and then walk over. It was a very calming atmosphere walking in so I fell in love immediately. I didnt have to wait to long before I was greeted by my esthetician Cat. She was professional but also very warm and welcoming. I got a eye brow and bikini wax. Waxing definitely hurts but with Cat talking to me the whole time it didnt hurt as bad (but still hurts). C-section moms, this wasnt as bad as I thought so if that is one of your concerns I would not worry at all. Cat was very gentle and understood my concerns. The eye brow wax was very different than what I am used to. She had a mirror that I kept while she was waxing to make sure I got the exact shape I wanted. I will be coming back next month! Its also next to the Norfolk Light Rail so that could save money from parking in the mall parking garage. I cant wait to go back next month!

The only place I go to for waxing. I usually do eyebrows and a Brazilian. The facility is amazingly clean. The staff is always friendly. Everytime I go they do a great job. Im always in and out quickly. I love the fact that you can make an appointment online. Theyre always great about sending reminders.

My experience there was great; Amber really did an awesome job. The reason I’m giving three stars is because a week later I’ve became all bumpy and it is still there and now starting to itch. I have a thousand hair bumps and it looks nasty and feels disgusting.

I have been sugared and waxed at a few different places and SMOOTH is the BEST by a long shot!! I wisited today for the first time for a Brazilian wax and my underarms and it was VIRTUALLY PAINLESS. I havent waxed in 2 years and I expected it to hurt more than usual because the first time always does, but Jasmine was fabulous and really fast! She left no hairs behind and was very gentle. The atmosphere in the boutique is wonderful, its beautifully decorated and they have so many products for sale. Their website says they formulated their own wax which is a combo of both hard and soft waxes and its designed to be less painful, well from first hand experience I will honestly say that was the most comfortable waxing experience I have ever had. I most definitely recommend this to anyone considering waxing.

Guys, you need to go see Dana and get the male Brazilian wax. I had been manscaping down there with a razor for years, and I didn’t even know male waxing was a thing. A female friend convinced me to try it one time, and I’m so glad I did. Dana was the ultimate professional in explaining what would be done and how it would feel. Did it hurt? Somewhat, but not near as bad as I expected. It took almost 2 weeks before the hair grew back, and it was much thinner than before. I loved having that smooth feeling without shaving almost every day. I have gone back 4 more times, and the experience is easier each time. Dana is very easy to talk to and makes the appointment stress free. I’ll never go back to shaving again. Make your appointment today!

I got my first wax with Leah in July 2017. I’ve seen her almost every month since then and I have to say she does an excellent job every single time no matter what. I had never let anyone touch my eyebrows ever but I decided I could trust Leah and she did not let me down. She’s done them twice and they’ve been perfect. I’m never in pain, my face never breaks out, and I hardly ever get any ingrowns anywhere I get waxed. I will absolutely continue driving all the way from Yorktown for as long as Leah is working here because I’m always satisfied with my services. Thanks Leah!

Today was my 2nd time visiting this establishment. Brandy, the lady that actually did my waxing, was very nice to work with and pleasant, also very good at what she does; however one of the ladies at the front desk just totally ruined my entire experience to the point that I have no plans of visiting this place again. When I made my 4 week appt 3 weeks ago I requested the same services I had done the 1st time but she scheduled me for a Brazilian only. When it was brought to her attention today she expressed absolutely no accountability for it, made no efforts to help make it right, she seemed a lot more concerned with placing the blame with me. I am in the process of moving and leaving for Vegas in a week...point being, I don’t have a lot of spare time right now. I was not planning to have to shave while on vacation. Great establishment with a person behind the front desk that totally lacks basic empathy and proper customer service skills. Very disappointing.Update 4/8/19:It wouldn’t be right if I don’t make this update. The owner actually called me on Friday evening and took care of EVERYTHING. She made it right and restored my faith in this business. Thank you!

Amber works magic on my lashes! She is amazing!!! I only planned on getting lash extensions for a special occasion, but I’ve been a regular customer for a few months now. The environment is very clean and professional. Everyone is so friendly and I always leave having a pleasant visit.

Very nice and friendly place. Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I’m actually comparing them to another place I used to get my Brazilian waxed done at. My old place didn’t use those strips and they used a different kind of wax that didn’t hurt at all, here it stings a little more than the old place and I just kiss that comfort. Plus my hair is already growing back a week after my wax, that’s crazy 🤷🏽‍♀️ Normally it starts to grow back around the 3rd week after having it done.Found a new spot called Braziliant in va beach, get the sugar wax and ask for Asia! AMAZING! Absolutely amazing! No pain!

I would say my very first Brazilian wax was the worst experience I was almost traumatized. First and foremost I was not prepped or forewarned on what to expect.. I gave her my design an the first 3-4 swipes were extremely painful, I may have distracted her a little. Well she cleaned the Entire landing strip😭😭 Without my design!! I was soooo devastated, and almost at tears. I have NEVER in my entire life been COMPLETELY bald! It is the ugliest looking Thing😂.. I guess she was trying to make light of the situation and replied well I cant put it back on😳 duhh.. and complimented me on MY 😹..Yes, she was visibility upset, I could see but it still didnt change the fact I walked out Bare Bottomed and a extremely unhappy customer. They took an additional 20% off which I felt they should have not charged me! I even tipped her, all because she owned it and was apologetic.. Well Im waiting for the grass to fully grow back to try again elsewhere. Ooh NOooo aftercare instructions whatsoever!! SOO YOU KNOW I WAS GOING NUTS WHEN IT STARTED TO GROW, I HAD TO PHONE A FRIEND🤦🏽‍♀️

I received a Brazilian wax while on vacation in California back in November, and it was just how I had imagined it to be... painful! So painful I only ended up with a bikini wax! I decided to try Smooth after much research on the few businesses here that offer Brazilian waxes and without a doubt, picked Smooth. I am so glad I did!I made a 6pm same day appointment with Tiffany, she was awesome. Parked directly in front of the building. The wax was no where near as painful as my first experience but still stung a bit. She made the experience pleasant and even motivated me to get through it even when I wanted to stop, while still giving me the option to. Im glad she did because I loved the results! I am going back today for my 4 week appointment and plan to stick with Smooth! Yayy!I highly recommend them, their salon is cute, clean and quiet. I like the somewhat discreet location of it as well. Try them out, especially if you had an not so nice experience somewhere else!

I went to Nicki for my first wax ever 2 yrs ago and ive been a devoted client ever since. She makes you feel very relaxed and at ease. She makes getting a Brazilian as painless as possible. Her space is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. I usually park at a meter and have never had a problem finding a spot. I highly recommend Smooth.

I’ve only been once so far, but it was an amazing experience! I went in for a full Brazilian wax, which I’ve never had before. I was initially super nervous, but Cat, my esthetician, explained exactly how the process would be. I loved that she talked me though the entire thing and asked me questions as to distract me from the pain. She was very thorough and even went so far as to tweeze some ingrown hairs for me! I love her!As for the boutique itself, it is very cute and has so many Vegan and natural products that you can shop for. The ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly also. It is located where parking may be scarce, but I utilized the MacArthur Mall parking garage and just walked to the boutique. I can’t wait to be back!

Ive been getting waxed here since September and Rosaria is who I go to shes great gets everything done and cleaned up very very well. Love it here I highly recommend after you do it one trust me do it again theres such a difference in pain and you will not goBack to shaving and you shouldnt either! She gives so many great tips!

Veteran of Brazilian waxes, but new to the area. Had been some time (3 yrs) since I had an official wax. Place was classy, cute little items in the front part of the shop (Lollia, Box Naturals etc.) Starla did the quickest/least painful wax I have ever had. Highly recommend.

This was my first time getting waxed, and it was not like I thought it would be. Cat talked me through the whole thing and made it very easy to get through. I will definitely be going back. Great place.

Ive been here several times, and its always been great. They use great products and are meticulous. They are also flexible with changing schedules.

Smooth is great. I am a first timer, and Tiffany was very professional and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. The facility is very nice and clean. I will definitely be back to visit.
