Ive been coming here for the better part of 3 months. Sadly last time was my last. They give solid fades and hair cuts. This last time I came in on Monday 23aug21 I left with minor irritation on my neck. Over the week it developed into whats commonly known as barbers rash. A fungal infection from unclean cutting equipment. After having it looked at by a medical institution I can safely say Im not going to be returning.

I was in town for work and found VIP Barbershop on Google. Dre was my barber and I would highly recommend this barbershop! I got a low fade, beard trim and they have a spa that waxed my nose hairs (Don’t knock it until you try it). They respectfully greeted me at the door to check me in for my appointment. My haircut is one of the best I’ve had and I’m compel satisfied. These guys are professionals and the money I spent was well with it!

I am not trying to be like one of those people who gets a bad cut and feels that they need to write a review but this has been coming for a long time now. I went there and got a haircut and it was so bad i did not even want to look at myself in the mirror. It is the kind of cut where I wont be leaving the house without a hat. I am very disappointed because I used to enjoy this place but I think it is played out now and they are focused on other businesses. I wont be returning and I dont recommend this place to anyone who isnt in the military or isnt getting a simple cut.

Only came here once so far but I plan to makeIt my regular spot. Had my head straight razor shaved, and my beard trimmed by rob. Great experience and professional all the way. It’s the kind of hole in the wall barbershop that you wanna make your own. There’s parking on the side of the building and the space they have is inviting. They offer deals and discounts on certain days and although I saw them take a walk in customer I’d recommend that you make a reservation. Military is totally welcome here, definitely worth a look if you’re looking for a new spot.

Great place! Classy look on the outside and inside. Barbers are gentlemen with a shake of your hand and ask your name. They really seem to enjoy their craft and it shows. Not too pricey either. Typically look to spend around $30 and you get what you pay for.As some of the reviews have stated dont be in a hurry. Ive seen a cut take 10 mins but mine took almost an hour. Not complaining I had a mess of hair and they cleaned it up nicely.Not as crowded as other reviews suggest I guess its just the time of day. Make an appointment tho if you dont want to wait.I had an apprentice barber cut my hair and he was getting some coaching through my cut which is not a bad thing I have no problem getting a haircut while the barber learns. The one thing about that would be to let me know before, it wouldnt have changed how I felt just there are some people who probably would. Plus its just peace of mind.It looks I found a barbershop for me I will definitely be back.

5:50 pm on a Saturday afternoon, I decided to get a spur-of-the-moment haircut. I was turned away by a couple barber shops in the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area as their availabilities for the afternoon were already filled up. I called VIP lounge after a quick google search and asked if I could do a walk-in, and to my surprise, John said he was free for one last appointment for the evening. As soon as I got there, I was kindly greeted by him and described to him the haircut I wanted, and so John got to working his craft. I am normally not picky of my haircuts; I usually leave it up to the barbers judgement, and I am so glad I did. First 5 minutes, I could tell John is easily one of the most experienced barbers Ive gone to. Fastidious with his trimming, he carefully made sure I left satisfied. In addition to the haircut, John is a very affable person and super easy to talk to as we discussed a variety of topics from funk music to high school sports. In terms of price, I found it to be very reasonable as styled cuts nowadays are steadily increasing in price, but you get what you pay for. To sum things up, I will definitely be coming back to John for my next cut, but this time Ill be sure to schedule in advance as I probably wont be as lucky as last time for a late walk-in.

Whenever I visit the barbershop is always clean, barbers dont have you waiting too long and theyre very knowledgeable about their cuts.

Stylist Salt originally from House of Hair did my makeup for the wedding last year! I came in for a trial and paid 50. I loved the makeup and colors plus my makeup wasn’t oily and I have very oily skin so that was a plus! I told her what I wanted to change and she made sure to note it on my wedding day. I paid for traveling services and she did it on the spot. Prices were affordable and my look was timeless! I loved the subtle colors but she made sure I still popped!

Great barber shop! But this time around I got one of the younger barbers. He was great to talk to but was struggling with the blending, maybe the other seasoned barbers can help him with that. The nice guy spent almost two hours trying to get it right but it didn’t turn out that well and I didn’t wanted to mention it after him spending so much time on it.

This was my first time and I’ll tell you what, I will never go to another place to get my haircut as long as they’re in business. Rob, an owner, took care of me last minute before a wedding I needed to get cleaned up for. Words cannot describe the satisfaction I have from his work tonight. My self esteem is through the roof, whereas my esteem was very low and was self conscious walking in tonight. This place is a true gem...... I take my son here and we have received service from Mandy and Nyjal and they are both exceptional. Nyjal’s smile will brighten an entire room so you feel at home immediately when you walk in... Mandy is great with kids and talks to my son the entire time during his haircut.... I always schedule an appt and we have never had to wait and we’ve been going there a few months now... just an overall good team and great service!

Well they charged my 7 year old kid 25 dollars for his hair then he didn’t cut it the way I need it and told him how I wanna cut he made me upset didn’t told me the price never gave me a receipt lied and said it would have came too my phone they charged me 25 and didn’t even touch my face a fade alone should not be 25 dollars at least twenty dollars and I gave him a 7 dollar tip the owner basically beg for it so I gave it to them but I will never recommend there service to anyone if I could’ve given them a zero I would’ve

Seemed like a solid place, atmosphere was great and barbers were great people. Overshadowing complaint was merely the haircut, CJ was a gem of a person but obviously was not an experienced barber, his fade was uneven and choppy, and I asked him to to trim the top 2 in, and he not only cut it too short, it was uneven all over the place. Can’t speak for the other barbers here, but this was probably one of the worst haircuts I’ve received in a long time.

I only visited once. Maybe 5 months ago. I had scheduled an appointment with a barber several days in advance. When I arrived (during a lunch break) the barber was no where to be found. One of the other barbers called the guy and he told them that he wouldnt be in til later, asking me to come back.I allowed one of the other barbers to cut my hair instead. The fill-in seemed like a really cool guy. But that initial experienced coupled with the price tag has detoured me from visiting again.

Decent haircuts but they work incredibly slow, and are terrible with time estimates. I’ve gone three times for walk-in appointments, after calling ahead and being told there was no wait. I’ve waited 30+ minutes each time to be seen.Haircut is expensive, if you walk down the street on Granby there are other shops that are half the price and just as good.
