I have been a fan for years and I was a professional collision technician for 50 years. What I like about Dan and his show is he is 100 percent with his statements. If he thinks you have a peace of junk that isn’t worth the money you are going to spend he will tell you and hope you can accept. He brings you into his world of automotive as it is in real life, or as close as he can. I have dealt with suppliers that will tell you they have just what you need then send you a peace of dog do.He seems to work with a full checking account the way he spends it, but that’s the way it is sometimes when you want your customers to be happy with what they get.What I would really like to know is what does the shop charge per hr on those repairs? If you’re a true fan than you know the truth about DRS. Dan is a great guy with a big hart. We stopped in on a Tuesday after lunch with no expectations except maybe we could buy a tee shirt and take a picture inside. The shop had lots going on and Dan was about to have an interview with a new employee. He took a few minutes to show us the little retro apartment he had finished. Dan and I shared some personal observations about some of the people we had met and had a good laugh. If you plan on stopping by like we did, please call them first so they know you are coming. Good people deserve our respect and this is one of those places. Thanks again Dan!

Addicted to watching FantomWorks on DMAX. Halfway through watching season 2. Find it fascinating the work they do to restore these classic cars.

Had a great time meeting Dan. Very friendly and appreciative of his fans. He took time to talk with everyone and answered questions. Definitely going to miss the show.

No on site experience. Having said that & based on following their show I cant imagine I would take my prize possession anywhere else.

Just judging by the Motortrend show, this garage must be the biggest ripoff in America. The owner invariably throws off on the cars people bring him, whines about very simple issues, and calls the customer in to prepare him for a tremendously inflated bill. Norfolk must be full of people who have more money than good sense.

As I live in Australia, me and my brother always watch your show on satellite TV (Foxtel) here! We both love the amazing work you and your team do and the love you have for cars! We always say to ourselves, If we ever win big in lotto or something, well fly to the US, travel Route 66 and search for the perfect car and then bring it to you to restore, before we have it transported back to Australia for us to retrieve! We even say to ourselves, Wouldnt it be good if we took over a Holden Torana A9X for Dan to do? I bet hes never seen something like that before!😂 Its something that wed just love to do.......but not having the money....just sucks!

Ive most all of programs, and get me wrong. Theyre great and Ive have several projects but short on funds. When is the new season going to srart? Im looking forward to it.

He repairs, upgrades and fully restores just about anything. From aircraft to Volkswagens. Quit an amazing man who puts honesty before profit.The show i one of the best. Definitely top three.

Just watched the show with the mail truck and 69 Camaro with the 4 link kit and these guys flipped out about the rear differential being closer on one side than the other, I guess they are so knowledgeable they couldnt understand the Trac bar would pull the axle over when it was in the air, lol to crazy, I feel sorry for those customers

My experience with FantomWorks was excellent. The staff were as professional as they were talented. I love how my car was transformed from the Frankenstein monster to a jewel box! Dan and his crew went above and beyond to leave no detail unfinished so the car would be brought back to its original condition. From research to engine they made ever effort to give me what I wanted.If you value perfection and integrity, FantomWorks is your place.

Loved the show and admire Dan tremendously. I think he took his passion and found a way to make money, make people happy and preserve these beautiful automobiles in the process.I also wanted address the people that leave negative reviews frivolously. One person Shannon Netherland said something about the 4l60e not being a derivative of the th350. Idiot. If you look at their other reviews you will see they left the local Fire Department a bad review for using their siren. No kidding. Check it out. Cant fix stupid

I have watched the show, and like many other shows of a similar vain, i appreciate there is some artistic licence that film crews want to add in which appear to the viewer as an issue.The show is just for entertainment with a pinch of reality and isnt a litteral blow by blow documentary of fact. Scenes are created not always in the interest of the business but more for ratings and entertainment value.But my thought is, if i had a car that i wanted to be worked on that i was passionate about by an established professional, based on what i tell about this business from the television programme.. i would seriously concider Fantomworks.Nothing worse than having Google Trolls posting negative reviews in part or wholey because you made a television show .I live in UK and run my own business in a diferent trade, Gxxgle n FB make it too easy for false reviews to remain as thier automated complaint proceedure is a joke.All the best :)

Saw an episode with a Vette in it that was painted a gorgeous purple which is perfect color for a project of my own. Emailed asking the color code wondering if I would even get a response.Next morning there is an email from Audrey in my inbox with the color code. That is customer service. If I ever get to that point, they will get my business.Thanks!

The team puts on a great tour. One day I will have them restore a vehicle. Until then, its nice to drool over some of their amazing work!

My dream would be for Dan to do my Z28...love the show

Fantom Works is one of my favourite car shows on TV. It was fun to watch Dan and crew restore cars better than it left the showroom floor. If only there were such shops all over North America. Is the show still on the air, or has it been discontinued? If the show itself is no more, does that mean that the shop is also no more? I would hope not. If youre anything like the show, I think there should be Fantom Works auto rebuild shops all over North America, with workers dedicated to preserving classic cars and trucks, and rebuilding antiques better than how it left the dealer showroom floor. :)

This guy is ridiculous. Flat spotting peoples tires is no way to check their brakes. You overcharge an absurd amount of money and completely rip these people off.

Well actually Ive never been to FantomWorks but I do watch the show on TV. As a car enthusiast I enjoy watching anything with automobiles. I watch many shows but I really enjoy FantomWorks because of the high skilled work they do and it is one of the only shows that I can watch and see people who look like me working there. I like that Dan the owner employs minorities and actually allow them to have speaking roles. Very rarely, if ever will you see African Americans on any of the other auto shows. Me and my friends talk about this often and we all agree that FantomWorks is the show to watch. Thanks Dan.

Shipped a 1969 camaro convertable from fresno ca. to him for engine wiring and fuel hook up finishing suspension rack hook up etc.way more detail than i giving here . the first week he seemed ok then after all the detailed E mails over and over its like he wasnt reading them . so he to do a $1,400.00 evalution i said ok . then after the evalution he became condescending and complained about every thing on the car was done wrong and he wanted $250,000 .00 to fix what a jerk

I searched this sites reviews hoping to find some actual customer reviews. the ones listed here are almost all about the tv show and the few actual business reviews are not very good. to be fair i searched other websites and found most actual car repair customers rated fantomworks about a 2.5 out of 5. maybe thats why fantomworks the tv show is gone.

We stopped by for tour information and was lucky enough to be able to actually go on a tour. Couldnt believe how knowledgeable Conner was! Then to actually meet Mr. Dan SHORT, himself!!! Wow is all I can say still. He is such a down to earth REAL PERSON! We got to talk to him, get pictures, and autographs as well! I even shivered when he put his arm around me. Lol Mrs. SHORT was there as well. She was so nice in talking with us as and taking pictures and doing autographs as well. This memory will last our family a lifetime!

Just watched a rerun of the show that was dedicated to Richard. He and his wife brought in a 51 Buick that didnt look like it was worth fixing even though they had already spent $10k - $15k on doors with single hinges, undercoating, and a new paint job. In short, Dan calls the wife to discuss his concerns and finds out that Rich fell and only has 6 months to a year to live. The wife calls back a few days later and tells Dan that her husband Rich passed away from his brain inguiry. Dan gathers all the workers expressing his desire to finish the car in a way that the family will look at the car and always think of Rich. The wife and two daughters come in to pick up the restored Buick and much to their surprise Dan only charges her for the parts. All the hours of restoring are donated by his men and Dan in memory of Rich. What a testimony to Fantomworks owner Dan and his workers!! Thank you Rich for your time service to our country!!!! When the posted at the end of the show In memory of Rich, he was pictured with his Military hat. He is my hero of the week! REST IN PEACE sir.RegardsDon Bishop/ Houston, Tx

Havent had a personal experience at the shop but from watching the show, Dan and the guys are honest, regular Joes who love building cars and more importantly, keeping the Customers safe. Sometimes you have to wonder whats real on t.v., but, when you hear someone speak from the heart you can tell its real.... Dan Short is that guy (real). Regardless of the show coming to an end, I feel one day, I will be driving a vehicle into that shop just to have the FantomWorks touch on it. I have officially been impacted by the show. Thanks Guys

This show is the same as American Chopper with the added reality...either that or the mechanics there do not know what they are doing...if a fan is going to hit the radiator it will do so when you crank it up.....not after you get it out on the road....

Im a huge fan of the show. The crew does amazing work and the attention to detail is spot on. So sorry to read that the show is discontinuing. However, its not a surprise. Dont know how your crew is able to get done what they do with all that goes into filming. I will be sure to catch up with all the reruns. If I ever have an opportunity to have my dream car built right I will search out your shop. Thanks for a great car show. And thank you Dan for your service to our country... We had a really nice tour of this place, and enjoyed meeting the owner, Dan Short, and several of his employees.It is an amazing place that does high end restorations of classic cars! Everyone was pleasant and helpful, and made us feel welcome.

Dan is amazing! He sat and talked with us as if we were old friends. He was very welcoming and inclusive to everyone in the room. Staff and employees were very helpful and informative. The tour was fantastic and the building is awesome! This experience far exceeded our expectations!
