Every since Waste Management took over they have been inconsistent with their scheduled garbage pickup, recycling and dont get me started with the yard waste pick up I pay for annually. Its like they pick it up when they feel up to it. If there was a more affordable yard waste pick up service around I would drop them in a heart beat.

Customer service is terrible. You will be on hold for 20+ minutes. I called every single day from Monday to Friday and spoke to 3 different reps. They all work in the same department but told me 3 different things. I paid for service starting in March and never received service. I called everyday and was told “they’ll be by today to pick up your yard waste” and of course, it never happened. I was promised, told they’ll call me if something changes, etc. None of that was honored. Yard waste bags sat by my curb for a week. My HOA called and told me to remove the bags AND it rained for 3 days, making the bags very soggy. After finally having to show my true colors on Friday in an attempt to get stuff done, I was told they came by to attempt to collect the bags on Wednesday but they didn’t take them and NO ONE thought it professional enough to call me to tell me why. They just let me call back everyday and tell me lies. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had. I’d recommend that NO ONE uses this trash (no pun intended) company.

WM purchased my Commercial Account from Advanced Disposal. Service has deteriorated dramatically. Biggest issue is that WM driver damaged the gate to my dumpster 11 weeks ago. The farmed claim out to 3rd party insurance company. Insurance claim on indefinite hold since WM not responding to their own insurance company

Absolutely the worst garbage service. Our street has been skipped several weeks over. Lets start dropping all our garbage at their facility or class action lawsuit for Gwinnett county residents who keep suffering due to the negligence. When we sign up and pay for a service its in good faith the company will comply with their end of the contract. Enough is enough. Perhaps this would be a wake up call, but i highly doubt it.

I was gonna review but looks like all they have are negative reviews. We go notification they would not be picking up trash on Monday but would Tueday they came though on Monday anyways. No one had trash out. I guess that is on us actually reading their stupid email.

Just to get out my house I had to get off and move bins a little in and had to go around them so I wouldn’t be out there taking them back .It’s raining I have kids this is not okay . Absolutely horrible service. The dont run on time any more. When I signed up with them they picked up both trash and recycling of Fridays. But now they pick up recycling on Friday and trash on Saturday afternoon, requiring me to either put trash put separately or leave my cans out for two days. They absolutely wont pick up anything other than what is in the can or within the 5-bag limit for yard debris. They didnt even pick up a few torn-down cardboard boxes! On several occasions they have broken the can lids. Their customer service is almost as bad as Comcast, and the only reason I have tolerated their lousy service this long is because they charge an exorbitant cancellation fee!UPDATE - April, 2021: Due to the Easter Holiday weekend, Adv. Disposal did not pick up recycling. While they typically postpone pickup by one day on holiday weekends, on this particular week they simply SIS NOT PICK UP recycling at all! No notification... nothing. My wife attempted to call them to enquire if they would pick up and she sat on the line for 45 minites without ever being answered. As a result, our recycling bin sat there FULL for an entire week (and the next weeks bin was almost full on day one after they finally picked up). And they charge an additional $12.00 a month for recycling??? Such a worthless service from a horrible company!

I live in Gwinnett County and dont have a choice in my waste removal company. Customer service is HORRIBLE. Call wait time is over 30 mins and everyone seems to have the same bad attitude, all of the time. The drivers will skip your pick and not return until the next scheduled date. They have damaged my can several times, left garbage in the street and the can is usually left turned over, blocking part of a lane as well. If you have the option, do not choose this company.

One of there commercial garbage trucks backed in to our company box truck and damaged the rear camera. I had the footage on my security camera to show them what they did and asked them nicely to fix it. Just received letter denying any responsibility for damaging our brand new box truck. Very poor customer service and beyond upset for the way they have handled this situation they caused.

I placed a request online and have tried calling multiple times but their service number always disconnects me while waiting for a rep to speak to.I accidentally called Waste Management today and would you believe they answered my call within 5 minutes.Advanced disposal I have been on hold for all the combined hours.

We have used this company for over 15 years with stellar service and never a problem. Starting 8 weeks ago, we have been skipped 6 times with either recycle pickup or waste/yard pickup. Lots of promises come from the office, etc. We live in a culdesac where most others have moved on to other companies. But having been a long time account, we felt loyalty. Loyalty is now over. Spending time on the phone reporting, begging for service that has been paid for is no longer fun.

These people are very unprofessional. A few months ago I scheduled a large item pick up and they came out and took a couch and loveseat with no problem. I cleaned out my shed and had several items that will not fit in my can. They proceed to tell me that they can only pick up one item a wee . They proceed to pick up one item the past 2 weeks and just spread all the other items all over my yard. The pile was neat and organized and they could have easily picked up all items the first time they came out

Worst company ever! They will misplace trash/recycle bins in the middle of the street or sidewalk, which is disrespect to others property. They also stink up the neighborhood and city with a foul odor that resembles a smell of rotten dead fish heads from the trash bins which they leave open to pollute the air! Also, they even leave trash on the street and not in the truck and they even broke a glass bottle on the street and did nothing about it!Are you serious advanced disposal?! I have tried to have a piece of fence picked up for 10 days, andthey have not picked it up. When you call your hold time is 15+ minutes.They have promised to come out and pick it up 4 times and they stillhave not. Unfortunately, they frequently leave the trash bins in the street across our entire neighborhood. This is a photo of our bins and neighbors left on the road.They will normally correct the issue after a notice to customer service, but it normally only lasts a week.

After reading these reviews I see how lazy and ridiculous people are. You expect these workers to be superheros. They do there jobs and yes no one is perfect and people do make mistakes from time to time. These workers worked during a pandemic with minimal to no protection everyday while most people sat at home and cant even put there garbage or recycling out correctly, expect them to take things that they are not supposed to and try to get away with putting garbage in recycling and then get mad and complain that they didnt do there jobs when its the actual homeowners who are too lazy to follow directions and put the correct materials in the correct bins. These workers work in all different weathered environments and half of you would not be able to do what they do. Just be appreciative of what people do period and do your part to help out.

Out of 5 weeks my yard waste has been picked as scheduled (Fridays) 1 time. The other times it’s been 3 to 4 days before it’s been picked up from the yard. This week I’ve called and left a message Friday then Monday when it wasn’t picked up and asked to have a manager call me regarding this poor service. Today is Tuesday and the trash is still sitting where I put it Thursday evening.No one has attempted to contact me yet. It’s hard to believe the lack of professionalism and poor quality of service being provided by Advanced Disposal.

Huge let down. This landfill charges $85/ton instead of $45/ton in west Atlanta @ C & D transfer. Also they decide to make everything as difficult as humanly possible. . . Theyve been unpleasant in general and bizarrely charge in a fashion which seems as if not a thought was given in regard to customer satisfaction. You can only enter if you have your reflective safety vest. Okay - standard. They have no extra, and only accept cash for them, while only accepting debit / credit for disposal fees. They said i could go to homedepot next door, who only sells them in packs for 25.00What a sleazy setup. Avoid at all costs. I drive out of my way now each dump instead of ever revisting this location. Other Advanced Disposal locations are great! Still higher prices though.

They skip my house about 1 time every 6 weeks, they drive their trucks across my front yard at least 1 time per year. They throw my trash cans in the street & in my driveway so I cant pull my car into the garage. They never answer their email requests for bulk pick-ups. They never answer their phone even after waiting on hold for hours sometimes.

I actually wanted to give this a 4 star because they keep raising their prices, but They deserve a 5 star because they make up for it in service. I call them if I have big stuff or odd items and they have always been able to pick up what ever I have. I appreciate them being flexible. I also appreciate them picking up my yard waste, usually I have none to pick up but sometimes I have a lot and they never give any problems. I appreciate that kind of service.

Its very nice to see a team not only work well together but to have fun doing it. The driver had music playing and he and his helper were jamming and smiling while working. Dancing while handling waste probably makes the day go by quicker, its definitely entertaining to watch. Great job!!!

Their set up is very unprofessional; you have to wait on an area manager to change or cancel service so you are locked into the plan and you can never get a call back. miss a lot of pick ups and offer no help because again you have to wait on an area manager or sales person to call you; you have no recourse to call them

Today, the collectors tossed a bin full of recyclables at their truck and completely missed, causing glass bottles to shatter all over my street. I was walking my dog and had to cut through my neighbor’s yard so my dog wouldn’t have to walk through broken glass. They throw bins around so that they land in and roll through flower beds, destroying the plants and often breaking the bins. They leave bins out in the road. Poor customer service and little concern for others’ property or safety.

Advanced Disposal has excellent service, why because I have never had to call them. They send on time email alerts of holiday schedule, and informational emails about how to properly recycle. Their use of robot arms makes a much faster and efficient way of collecting trash and if you set the trash bin properly (not leaning on a curb) the robot arm will set it down in the upright position. I appreciate their service.

We have been calling this company everyday fore the last three weeks to start service and they have never picked up the phone. Ive called several locations, left messages for people I dont know but still no response. The same scripted response is heard on their automated message while holding, Estimate wait time is more than 10 minutes due to an unusually high call volume but after 10 minutes you are put back in a call queue again. My husband and I stayed on hold for over TWO HOURS before we finally hung up. My husband finally called the better business bureau. If you are able to find a more professional trash service, its highly advisable.

Superior Service!This morning I was late getting my trash and recycling out. I took out the recycling bin first (just before 11 am) since I still had a little capacity in the trash can. The recycling truck came down the street as I was taking the trash can to the curb.After the young man on the right side of the truck (I didnt get his name) emptied the recycling he ran up my driveway, got my trash can, and took it back to the curb for me.That was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated! Give that young man a gift card for going above and beyond!

I have been a customer of advanced disposal of Norcross for five weeks. My pick up day is Friday of every week. There has not been one week where they have shown up at all. I am lucky if they come the following Tuesday. I have had a call on Thursday to make sure they will be here on Friday they assured me that they will. I call on Friday to make sure they will be there they assured me that they will. But they never do and I am left with foul smelling garbage at the end of my driveway. Do not become a customer of advanced disposal. You will most likely regret it. The only reason I have stuck with them for five weeks is because of their saving grace which is customer service. They are wonderful but they are constantly flooded with the same issue. I feel sorry for them.

Customer service was excellent; although the address that is listed for the Norcross Fill is not the correct address. Norcross Fill needs to make an update. That was very inconvenient. I left cardboards with heavy piece of wood on top. Came home with cardboard everywhere in my front yard and bushes. Called customer service who was extremely careless and rude. I questioned her why they didn’t pick it up twice in our conversation and she goes “ma’am, I don’t know how many times I have to tell you xxxxxx”. I told her to record my complaint and she carelessly said thank you for calling and hang up without me finishing the call.

Not sure it makes any difference with the other people who have posted negative reviews, but today is 05/14/19 and I have been on the phone for over an hour waiting to speak to customer service about bulk pickup, while listening to tiring elevator music on a loop. Horrible customer service! I dont believe they care because they have a monopoly of trash pick up in my area. I called in to have an item picked up on Tuesday and no one did the job. I called back on Friday and I spoke to a rude customer service rep who said her name is Angela. She was very argumentative and accused me of lying about scheduling the date because it was not in the system. She said it would be scheduled for the following Monday for pick up and then changed her mind and said the following Tuesday. She also refused to put me though to her supervisor or give any email information or contact information to reach a pick up supervisor. Unacceptable and I will be forwarding my complaint up the chain.

Today we confronted the trash man as to why he wasnt picking up the trash we even offered to put the trash in the dumpster truck he refused to even talk to us and threatened that we were all going to jail because we were confronting him about the situation.They called the cops and claimed we assaulted him. Me a 45 girl who cant even reach his door handle. Cops Showed up they asked us about our legal status, the cops tried to diffuse the situation. But they still refused to take the trash claimed the supervisors were coming for the trash they never did. I have put in countless complaints to the coorpated office but they dont care about their costumers or doing their job they will just hang up on you and claim it was never put in their system. They truly are the worst.!!!!! We will be taking this into a lawsuit as we have rights too and pay for a service that isnt being done! The crappiest service ever. They always forget to pick up my trash so I have to schedule a specials pick up. The neighbors around me have already changed over to a different company and I will be doing the same. I was told that my account was suspended and I had to pay BEFORE the due date in order for them to pick up my trash. I currently owe a negative amount on my account and yet, they still refuse to pick up my trash. Terrible customer service.

Since we have no choice to use other providers I am stuck with Advanced Disposal because we are mandated by Gwinnett County to pay for their services on our property tax bill. I would fired them if I had a choice. I have to call them quite often because they forget my neighborhood. What do they care, they are going to get paid by the county whether or not they pick up the trash or not.

It seems suspicions that there are only positive reviews here that are from the same period of time. Terrible Commercial Service! They continually miss our Pick-Up day, when we call to find out when they will be picking up and why theres always a delay, they just make excuses, have bad attitudes, and give us the run around. This is the 4th week in a row that our trash is not picked up. Being a Medical practice, this causes a sanitation issue for our patients. As of 5pm on Wednesday, the trash from the previous Friday still has not been picked-up and there is no more space in the dumpster. We will be switching services as soon as we can get Advanced Disposal to come pick up the dumpster.

It has been THE worst service, any business types, that I have experienced ever! My church has used this company for trash disposal for years, and the service has been in a downward spiral over time. More often than not, the trash container has not been picked up on time and when I contacted the company, empty promises were given. They treated a customer like a trash. Feel like they hate their jobs. I would give zero or negative star if I can. I feel lucky that there are other trash disposal companies available in my area so that my church does not have to be stuck with this bad one.

I guess Advanced knows the customers have no other choice, because their customers are treated as if they do not matter. I have a trash bin that was crushed by Advanced disposals automatic arm. I have called 5 times over the last 3 months to get a replacement bin. No luck yet.

Our experience with this company has not been a good one. The employees dont show much concern for how they do their jobs. This is probably because they are aware the customers dont have a choice in who they use, guaranteeing job security regardless of their performance. Sloppiness, throwing containers wherever they see fit, not putting things back where the customer had them, not picking up things that fall off the trucks, blocking driveways with containers, leaving trash bins tipped over....etc....This company provides no documentation of services or billing of any kind. Flat out carelessness and taking advantage of residents who dont have a say in who they can use.

Great service, timely. Customer service always takes care of any issues.—- edited review June 2021 from 5 to 3 stars: the service with WM now is far inferior to the AD. I spent months and too much time to count calling about a 2nd can no longer being serviced and that I had paid for. Service is now spotty.

Horrible service from waiting over 30 minutes to have a phone call answered to their ineffective billing method which causes all sorts of delays and fees to their sales representatives who do not seem to care about how delays affect a contractors job and site. I switched to Arrow Waste and will not be using Advanced Disposal.

I would give them less stars if I could. They dont pickup recycling when they should, they dont return phone calls, and they dont come through. Ive had trash spread across my lawn, and my trashcan left in the middle of the cul-de-sac. Terrible service.

This company has terrible service. Promised a credit due to two missed pick ups, took several calls to have them put a credit on, now on our new statement it shows that we owe the credit they gave us. Ridiculous billing department, unresponsive team, and I think Google should note that all their Positive reviews were done 6 months ago, posted at the same time..

I have never had a problem with trash pickup in my life until I moved to Gwinnett County and was forced to use Advanced Disposal. They pick up the yard waste that you have to pay extra for about half the time and then only when you call and complain. I have called Advanced Disposal, I have called to report missed pick ups, I have called Gwinnett County Solid Waste to report missed pickups, it has been escalated, it has gone to the supervisor but nothing changes. Horrible, inconsistent service that should never been allowed in Gwinnett County.

I cant believe they left a load of trash on the ground here in Red Gate Commons townhomes. My neighbor and I trash are always side by side during trash day on Fridays. Clearly he had lots of soda cans, and bottles in his trash that those dummys left. Him or I can get fined if the wrong person see this. I am not picking it up. I wish I could show you all. Clearly those bums dont like to work and was to lazy to pick up the trash they dropped.

Missed my pickup trash 2 weeks in row. When I called them, they put me on hold for over than 45 minutes... bad service all around... their customer service stinks like trash.Very unhappy with them... I would have fired them but Gwinnett county attached them to my property taxes...

Worst company ever. Immature and unprofessional beyond all point of measure. They took a piece of debris out of the trash can, left it in the middle of our street, tossed the trash can over and drove over the debris. They are total garbage. I would give this company zero stars but that is not an option. Terrible terrible terrible.

They are rude and half the time dont take all the trash out of the can or leave the can in the street not on the curb. I have called and complained but they speak to you like it is your fault they cant do their job. Our whole subdivision uses them and people are asking the HOA to look at other trash services.

Although they are supposed to pick up the trash in my division every Tuesday, they’ve missed picking up my trash about 10 times this year even though it’s left out on the curb. I wish I could change companies because they are literally trash!

This is why we need the government to stay out of the free market. They dont care one bit about the job they do because their service is guaranteed and paid for when we pay our property taxes! They threw away our trash can on service day by accident and after 5 phone calls, they still have not brought us a new trash can. Stay away if you have a choice!

Customer service was not helpful and rude. When you have a problem with service and dont get home until after business hours they have no way of answering questions. Often forget to pick up leaf and lawn debris even though you are charged for the service. Garbage pick-up feels like a third teenager in my house to deal with every wednesday! Ugh!
