I went here a few weeks ago because my A/C was not blowing cold air. Left my car with him to be diagnosed and he called me back an hour later and says it’s ready. When i got there he had NO DIAGNOSIS and could not tell me what was going on with my A/C. He told me he would need more time to figure it out. I have a mechanic who is great but because he was on vacation, i thought these guys would be my quick fix and i was dead wrong. They took my money ($100 for an hour of nothing) and sent me on my way with no fix or even a clue as to what the issue was with my car. I would not recommend this shop to anyone i know.

My wife and I were stranded on our honeymoon. We called at 9:00 on a Monday morning and we had our car back by 5:00 that evening. They checked in multiple times with updates on what was wrong and what they were going to do to fix it and accurately quoted the price once it was fully diagnosed. They were very friendly and the pricing was much less than expected.

Absolutely worst place to bring your vehicle they will steal your money and your vehicle inflated prices horrible place

Just look at the reviews and his responses. Theres nothing I can say that everyone else hasnt. They owner is a joke. His employees are no better. Save yourself the head ache and go elsewhere.

I called on a Monday afternoon to arrange for a tow to bring my vehicle in for repairs. I made an appointment for 10:30am Tuesday for the tow. Apparently they tried to get in touch with me a few hours after I called on Monday because they wanted to get my vehicle at that time. Since I didnt answer (I wasnt expecting their call and had fallen asleep), they said that I would have to bring them the keys. My vehicle isnt drivable and I have no other transportation. So much for making an appointment. Horrible customer relations.

A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! Ran into car trouble halfway through a long road trip two days before Christmas (cracked rim, couldnt finish our trip without a replacement or weld job and we were hours from both home and our destination). It was a Saturday afternoon and everyone was closing or closed for the next few days. This shop was our last hope. When we called, we were received warmly and told that everything would be okay. Shop had to call the welder in, as he wasnt currently working, but within a few hours he had arrived and completely fixed our rim. The shop workers were all very friendly and struck both me and my (very skeptical) boyfriend as genuine and honest. We were so grateful for the kind demeanor of the employees and their patience - they stayed open after hours to help us! To boot, we had our large, curious cat with us, and the woman running the shop assured us that she was fine with him walking all over the place and getting up into the reception areas business. Wait, wait, even better - we would never leave our cat with anyone, but after getting to know the staff here for a few hours, we trusted them enough to take them up on their kind offer of watching him while we ran to grab some take-out. Cant say enough positive things about this place! If youre stuck, theyre there for you! Thanks again Good Guys Auto for saving us from our awful situation!

Went on a spontaneous trip to see Niagra Falls. Ended up having issues with passenger side rear tire. These guys were the first ones we looked up. They were so polite. It ended up taking all day but the work they did was amazing and so is the price. They made the shop kinda feel like home. Parker is awesome mechanic.

Setup an inspection yesterday when I desperately needed it and they had it back to me an hour after I showed up for the appointment for only $20! Very good guys indeed!

Great shop! Went out of there way to get my car fixed on a Saturday so I wasnt stuck in New York.

This is what they did to my truck. They zip tied my shifter cable to the bracket, did $2100 of damage to the bed of my truck, all of my transmission fluid leaked out. $575 later this is how I found my truck. They had it parked around back right next to a wall so I couldnt see the damage. They didnt fix the neutral safety switch issue which I paid them to fix as well. I basically paid them to destroy my truck. DO NOT EVER TAKE A VEHICLE TO GOOD GUYS. you will lose out on thousands of dollars just like I did

This crew was amazing. We’re from out of state, and had a bad car issue once we arrived. We showed up unannounced, and even though they were busy, said they’d start diagnosing within a half hour. And they did. Found the problem and said they could have it fixed in hours. And they did. The cost for work was more than fair, and it’s a great, personable group working there. I wish I had this where I live.

I was just visiting and my car needed repairs, every other repair shop said a week, Amy at Good Guys got me in right away, she was great, Doug was my mechanic and he got my car fixed and got me back on the road within hours. When they found another problem after already quoting me they discounted the labor for it!! Highly recommend them, fair prices, good people and good work, I really can not say enough how great they were for getting me in and back on the road!!! Thanks guys!!!

These Guy are GREAT! I am new to the Niagara falls area and the clutch went out in the Subaru I just bought. They got my car into the shop quickly and replaced the whole clutch kit in only one day. I drop the car off and picked it up the same day! Will be getting my future work done here.

Scammed a friend of mine by stealing multiple parts and items from his vehicle a couple years ago and I was just looking through the reviews and saw this super unprofessional petty response SOUNDS LIKE AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR ANOTHER SHOP. I was relocating from Missouri back to the East Coast and my car broke down in Niagara Falls with all of my belongings. The moral of my story is that this is a wonderful shop and I would highly recommend it to anyone but here is my story below:I read the reviews on Good Guys but it is always hard to fine a new automotive shop in an unfamiliar area. Sheila was amazing and they got a tow truck out right away and got my vehicle in. They found that there was something wrong with the transmission in my Subaru Forrester (the fly wheel) and explained that it would take several days to repair. They recommended that I finish my journey home and fly back when it was done.I was reasonably distressed as there were no rental cars available in the area for a one way trip. Luckily my husband was also driving his car so we needed to move many of our belongings into my car in order to fit passengers into his car to complete the trip. I was nervous about leaving my valuables but there were not a lot of other options.Transmission work is never inexpensive so I was preparing myself. However, Shiela called different vendors and haggled on the pricing and got me the best deal. She was also very sweet, reassuring, and helpful. The work was all completed in a few days and she even arranged for her son to pick me up at Buffalo airport!My car has been working great and I am forever grateful to all of the people at Good Guys Automotive. They clearly take pride in their work and care about their customers and helped smooth over a terrible situation.

These guys were life savers to us!Our truck had broken down on the highway so I called them & had it toed 2 hour before they closed. They fixed my trucks alternator on the spot. They were nothing but kind, thoughtful & understanding. There prices are more affordable then anyone I have ever been to. Broke down today. Within a hour Goodguys where there with there tow truck. Hauled my truck back too his shop. Looking at the truck the water pump went out locked up threw the belt off. Needed new water pump new belt. They were able too get the new parts needed and installed also were able too change the oil witch needed to be done also. They had to work a little late to get it all done but did so. Stuck to the original price to. Thanks so much for getting me on the road again. Duane

Very unprofessional. Hard to get on the phone over many years of taking my truck to them. Last year Sheila played phone tag with me for 2 months after telling me that I only had about a month left before my cadilitic converter blew out. She kept telling me she would call back and never did. She told me I had to pay for it in cash because there could not be a paper trail as she called it,because my truck needed a California emissions and she wanted to save me some money so she was getting me a federal emission and they kept sending the wrong part. Getting the wrong part seems to be a reoccurring issue with them. After that all of my engine lights came on. They werent on prior. Fast forward to my inspection. I was told when they replaced the converter that I had to replace my exhaust manifold. So when I needed to get my inspection I asked for my exhaust repaired as well. This took 3 weeks. They went back and forth with me about my truck being in the shop so long not being worked on yet. Then told me about someone elses car more than once not realizing who they were talking to. THEN they told me that another shop worker got fired over my truck and my truck not being done correctly. 2 months and $3000 later my brand new wipers fell off after the 2nd rain. My wiper fluid cap I gone. My serpentine belt broke off. And Roy cussed me out like he was talking to another man when I called crying and asked for help. Where Im from men speak to men like men and women like women. Him and I are not equal. They are very unprofessional and they do not care who they speak to or how they speak to them. They will give you the run around and pretend as if they did nothing wrong. Roy barely touches vehicles in there and will still fight you as if its his personal work. They cant even get their customers straight when calling people back if the even call back. They are the absolutely worst shop in Niagara Falls if you live here. If youre not local and you break down he might take care of you. But if youre local call someone else.

We were visiting the falls from Montreal Quebec, Can. While driving on I-90 the oil pan cover lost a few bolts and clips. I looked up the reviews on google and found the Goodguys. Dan lifted our car right away and fixed everything in about 10 minutes. I know it wasnt much but for us it was the end of the world. Thanks again Dan!

Brought our van in for an alignment, we didnt hear from them for 4 hours so when we called to check on the van they said they could not do the alignment because the struts and bolts were old and used . When we called them back to let them know we was picking up the van and we didnt want them to do the extra work they said we owe them $40 for taking the hubcaps off 😒😒 when asked why so much the person who answered got very rude, disrespectful and belligerent stating its not our fault your car is broken or you cant pay your bill (its $40) and hung up in our face we are now in the process of taking it somewhere else just to make sure they didnt damage anything out of spite. I will NEVER use this place or recommend it to anyone

Hit a piece of ice off the back of a tractor trailer going down Walnut today which smashed my exhaust flange and left my muffler dangling. I called Goodguys (had never been to them before, but they were the closest shop) and Sheila answered the phone and warmly offered to get me in asap. Under an hour for 70 bucks they patched up my muffler. No b.s. just timely straightforward service. A++ Goodguys!

On a recent visit to Niagara Falls, NY we had serious car trouble. The owner of Good Guys, Roy, and Shiela who worked out front were fabulous to us. It’s a long story, but let me say, they made us a priority, they kept in good communication, they did NOT take advantage of vulnerable tourists and they were super conscientious...wanting to make sure we would have a safe car to drive home. I brought in my own parts to fix my headlight connector, and was charged $106.92 for about 30- maybe 40 minutes of work. Also, I did not get the rest of my parts back as I assume they were not all used. I guess I went wrong telling them I was from out of town. :(

Visiting Niagra Falls, Canada and were on the way back to US through customs when tire sensor came on stating we had a flat. Sure enough, our driver side rear tire was down to almost nothing. We filled it with air at first gas station, but saw nail sticking though it. First google search had tire place that was closed, but further down was Goodguys. Despite being alone in the shop, the friendly goodguy was able to patch the tire himself in less than 45 minutes. Great service, great price, easy in and out. To my wife, her car, and this family road trip...a lifesaver. Great shop from what I saw.

I needed an inspection and some work done to my truck. There were issues that needed to be addressed and they were very helpful and honest with what needed to be done and what it would cost. They kept me informed and did not do any extra work that would raise the price like I have experienced with other mechanics. Also, they worked with me on making payments and didnt charge an outrageous storage fee. From now on, this is where my truck goes for any work!

Good work on the car...I had my alternator changed.Good price too.but my brand new jumper was stolen from the car.it was a good jumper too...Reply to ownwer:No unfortunately the jumper was not found..I needed it to get to the shop in case my car died...I ubered back home and forget to get the jumper out of the car.There are some seedy characters on Pine Ave.The jumper may have been stolen from the car.. The car was kept for 3 days and while it was parked outside it may have been stolen. But nope my jumper is gone and Im out of 139.00 bucks.

Amazing, knowledgeable auto-repair shop. My buddies and I slid off the road during a bad ice storm and messed up the wheels on the car. Received a fix-it-ticket for a broken taillight on a Friday night. Basically had 24 hrs to fix it. Cold called these guys around 10 AM Saturday asking if they had time to fit me in their schedule, and they asked me to come in. Waited maybe an hour, got an extremely fair priced bill, and Dan (sorry if I got the name wrong) had everything fixed and notarized my ticket for proof of repair. Really saved my behind and sorted out a hectic weekend. Thanks guys!

About 8 months ago, my transmission began to slip. I brought it to Good Guys and was told I needed a new transmission. I didnt have the money at the time to buy a new transmission, so the owner, Roy, gave me a few pointers on how to drive my car to help prolong its life so I could have some time to save up for the repair.I saved up, brought it in, had the transmission replaced and my car is running great; just like new! I had a very bad day with them, and I will never go that shop again. The guy in front desk had no respect at all, and he used the F word every few seconds. I called 911 for that, and I am highly recommend you to stay away from that shop.

Needed tires. Called every tire place in WNY. Good Guys not only gave me the best price on the tires I wanted over the phone, but also gave me very fast service. I really couldnt say enough about these guys. The mechanic working with my van was one of the nicest guys I ever met. Did not try to sell me anything I didnt need. Absolutely great bunch of guys. Take your vehicle there, you will not regret it.

I had someone trying to sell me a car and told me he did all kinds of work to it. I asked to take it to my mechanic (Roy Dean) at Good Guys. Thank God I did because the car needed all kinds of work. Roy was awesome, throughoughly went through the whole car and told me exactly what was wrong with it and how much it would cost to fix. From Chicago and got stuck in Niagara falls on a Sunday. Went to their shop first thing in morning. These guys are awesome. They left what they were doing and starting working on my car right away. Roy debugged the problem and showed me what was wrong and ordered the necessary parts. Since it was going to take a while, they even gave me a ride back to my hotel. They also picked me up when the car was finished. You would think that they take benefit of the situation and charge more, but not these guys....If anyone is stranded, just give them a call. If you live close by, even in Buffalo, you should give them a try. Very friendly, professional, and honest.

Absolutely outstanding and efficient service at a very reasonable price. My alternator died near the end of a long trip due to oil leaking on it from a faulty valve cover gasket. Right from the very first call, the owner Roy was prompt and helpful, and took the car in immediately since I needed to make it back to NJ that night. This was a major repair that needed several hours and they worked until almost an hour after normal closing time in order to finish it for me! When I mentioned I was thinking of walking a couple mile to see the falls, one of the mechanics even gave me a ride down to Goat Island, no problem. What would have normally been a very stressful and not the best use if time in Niagara Falls turned out probably the best it could due to some Good Guys.

This place charged way tooooomuch had my car for way to long and kept giving me the run around..i feel I was taking advantage off..she told me my car was in good shape and turns around after 2000 worth of work and tells me my motor might be going..never ever again will I do business here only came due to the reviews I read they are not GOOD GUYS they take total advantage of who they want to

I had no issues wit my car i got a oil cgamge now i have a slow leak i go back to them to see why all of a sudden why my engine light come on after a tear of having the car the charged me 75 dollars to give me a list of potitial issuse it had and now they will charge me 85 dollor an hour to run it on the same machine to fime the problem i never go back

Good Guys automotive is a great place to take your car Im a single dad with not a lot of money brought my car two two different shops looked online saw good guys had a great rating brought my car to them talked to the owner Roy scanned my car turns out it only took me $200 bucks to fix it was just some wiring and ground other shops said i needed a new computer Im so happy they are an honest shop because i needed my car for work and my kids thank you good guys automotive!

Usually I do not write reviews. Ever. Because I believe that people usually only write reviews to complain about a company or a product.However, I feel as a potential customer of good guys automotive, you should know about my experience with this company. Long story short, my boyfriend just won a court case against them for $1,420. As nice as the guys seem, they took his truck in 5 times, which is never a good sign in a mechanic.They told him he needed his transmission fixed, so he authorized this decision. The transmission was never fixed, and it seems they could only point out more and more problems that were not present prior to bringing the vehicle to their establishment. And I say this, yes with bias, but also because we ended up suing them, and we ended up winning. The judge even commented that they have been to court before. And I have to tell you, the owner was not level headed after the court did not rule in his favor.I would caution you think twice before choosing Good Guys.

Unfortunately i called about getting a transmission . Talked to the lady who answers phone seemed nice and wanted to help. Then never called back. I tried 3 times to set up a repair that was estimated for 2400.

Every time I come in, they want to redo my oil, even if I just got it changed. They claim that it was done wrong. Even if I come in for a different reason, they always want to change my oil. I get it changed regularly, so it doesnt make sense. I began to feel uneasy about letting them into my car, so I have gone elsewhere. They worked with me on a payment plan once and were very understanding, which is why I gave three stars.

Brought my truck here for an inspection.The guy was extremely rude, ripped my sticker off and refused to give me a ten day sticker. The way he spoke to his customers was completely out of line.He said i needed new tires and new back breaks.I went to two other shops, got my truck inspected with no problem at the first one....but both mechanics said all my truck needed was a new serpentine belt.He completely went out of his way to try and rip me off. I would never go back there.

My family and I had just left Canada when my van started to act up! My 6 month old, 3 year old and 5 year old were stranded outside of Good Guys and with temperatures high all I found myself doing is crying! Not only was it a holiday weekend and everything was closed but I knew it was going to cost me an arm and a leg to fix my car to be able to drive home to PA, also I was expecting to have to find a hotel to stay for the night.I went into the garage where I saw a man who has waist deep in a different van. I asked if he could please look at my van and he immediately stopped what he was doing, opened the sitting area for me and my family, and looked at my van. He was able to find the problem, repair it and send me on my way in a matter of 10-15mins! Not only that but it also was the cheapest repair job I ever had to pay for! To me and my family he was a LIFE SAVER! I have no idea what we would have done if he wasn’t there! The place is in a small town and the outside of it doesn’t do it justice! You can tell he loved what he does and if I ever needed repair again around there, they would get my business 110%!

I have run into some pretty fair guys in the four plus decades I have owned cars. This first time dealing with the GOOD GUYS and I can most assuredly say this so impressed me that I want others to know. THEY KNOW every system that is operating in my car. They also were MOST TIMELY in the work they did. Their charges are MOST FAIR considering that I priced out the work at four other shops, GOOD GUYS came in under 23% under the next lowest bid. Had a trip with a group of students 2 weeks ago, and as soon as we left the hotel, the van started overheating... made it to Good Guys somehow at around 5:30pm, and even though they were closing in half an hour, they took the car in. These guys went above and beyond for my family and me. Not only did they overnight a part after looking all over town for it (not charging us anything extra for the shipping) and give us a very reasonable rate for the labor, but they also allowed us to park our RV behind their shop and hooked us up to their water and electricity (probably saving us $150+ on hotel bills,taxi fare, etc). If we were going to break down, we were very lucky that it was near these guys. I could not have asked for better service.

Awesome guys, great service, great price. Its been awhile since Ive been to Good Guys, and I should have left a comment half a year ago. Back in December 2015, I had gotten a car given to me, which I later found had a plethora of problems including a rotting frame, break lines, and gas lines. I ran all around trying to find someone to fix my problem, but it was the holiday season and I was out of luck. After going to Good Guys I was told that they would try to do all possible to help me out, even though I came in the day before Christmas Eve. They got things together and came into the shop THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS to do all the extensive repair I needed. I needed to drive the car out on the 27th, and they worked all day long the 26th to make sure it was ready for me. I was able to have a well functioning car that took me all the way out to NYC that day, and here I am back plus still driving around. Thanks Good Guys for saving the day!! (My deep apologies for not leaving this sooner)

2 hour oil changes .. and to your reply. I asked how long and you didnt say. You said you would get it in after the car that was in there, thats all. So you didnt give any indication of how long nor what my car needed after finally looking at it an hour later. So Im sorry, I should just say hour and a half long oil changes because thats how long it wouldve at least taken regardless of the other reasons. And to add, you tell me we didnt charge you for taking off the cover. Well they didnt charge for it last time either. Im unsure that was really a thing or just an attempt to satisfy the customer. So thank you for not charging me but Ill adjust my review to satisfy the customer.

We are from Connecticut and had just arrived in Niagara Falls for Fourth of July Weekend. As soon as we got to the RV Park the water pump in our truck massively failed. I had tools but could not could not free the fan clutch from the pump. My wife Googled and found Good Guys and their excellent reviews and gave them a call on Friday night around 9:00 PM expecting an answering machine. Much to her surprise the the owner answered the phone. Long story short they got us back on the road Saturday July 4, 2015. These people are amazingly kind and compassionate to total out of town strangers. We can not Thank them more for saving our vacation.
