I had a sloppy and angry nail tech and I hated my experience and I wish I never stopped here. This nail salon has apparently been open more than 20 years but they do not have an understanding of customer service. I understand any professional wanting a customer to have confidence in their ability but any customer facing professional should be ready to make sure that a customer gets the work they came for. I asked the person working with me today to straighten the tip she placed on my finger and this made her angry enough not to talk to me when I tried to speak to her there after. She called someone over to speak in a different language over my head about how it’s not messed up. I asked her multiple times to fix it. She only fixed it when I said I was going to pick up and leave. So don’t bother.Don’t come to this store if you want your nails handled with care.Don’t come to the store if you expect any level of customer service.Don’t even come to the store if you want your nails done well because mine do not look good. None of them are similar. The nail tech in training that I had today globbed on chunks of SNS powder over my nail line and cuticles. (Look at my pinky nails for residue. ) I asked her why she was doing that and she said “ I know what I’m doing”.When she was done putting on the topcoat she proceeded to use a nail drill to skin the area around my nails instead of shaping the SNS nail from the start.Cutting into my skin was not professional, obviously. I endured this because I have important things happening tomorrow and needed a new set ASAP. The blood was little and the wounds are thin and Deep. I like to cook and I use my hands every single day. I can’t rinse my hands now without getting a burn at my fingertips and cuticles. I had to ask her three times to fix the under parts of my nails as well as the corners. She cleared the cuticles and thought she was done but my nails still looked like globs of mud.And of course she got angry with every thing outstanding that I asked her to fix. Every time I opened my mouth she couldn’t believe it. Someone behind me asked for the same finger to be redone the person working with her said “sure“ and replied enthusiastically “of course”— and they moved on and it was done the way that lady liked it. it didn’t seem to be a problem when someone else asked for something to be fixed.I came here in an emergency but I hope never to run into any need for the store again. I hope never to see the woman that worked on my nails today again. I just got home and I’m reshaping each of these bulky nails myself because none of them are straight.PSThe nail tech that had me today knows who she is. If you don’t like people, then stop working with people. Don’t be pigheaded to get working on the way MY nails will look without knowing or even asking me what I wanted it to look like. You can’t work with someone else’s hands and then get mad when you don’t do it the way they like it. You don’t know new customers needs. You’re supposed to fix it and note that I like it that way and move on. Your job is to make sure your work is perfect only in the Customer’s eyes. I left this place P.O. today. You need to quit working on nails. You are not good at it and you don’t care how they come out.
The day I got my nails done, one broke. I went back in and they repaired it. While I was there, already annoyed I had just left with fresh nails, the staff laughed at my friend and I and spoke very obviously about us in their language. It was unprofessional and rude. The next day, a second nail broke. I won’t be going back again. In addition to poor treatment and a poor job, the nail tech cut my cuticles and left them bloody and painful. Do not waste your time. The place is pitiful.
Recently got eyelash extensions, eyebrow and lip wax with Christine.....LOVED HER WORK! So beautiful. She was fast and efficient. I will be going back for all my salon needs. Great place. Ive already recommended Zaza to all my friends.
I drive from Boston to this nail salon, because the girls are wonderful at what they do! The best nail salon around Boston.
Awesome place ! My husband and I got manicures and pedicures by Nancy and Bella today they were very professional, kind and did a great job !
Very rude workers spoke in their language the entire time obviously complaining about God knows what. my pedicure was mediocre and the worker completely ignored my daughters request for a design on her nails, we both requested the design twice and were ignored. It wasn’t until I went to pay and complained about the request being ignored that another worker quickly made the design. Do not recommend this nail place at all. So many better places to choose from.
I dont normally write reviews because most of the nail salons are not so different, at least to me. But this place is just much better. The price are reasonable and they do a really solid job. The salon is always kept clean and I love how they open a new pack of tools for customer.
I love knowing that every time I go into this salon I am going to get great service. The staffs are often there all smiles and is constantly making sure that customers are well taken care of. The prices are reasonable for a nail salon and the work is always better tan expected. I have been a proud customer for quite some time and I can see myself remaining a happy customer for a long time.
The most beautiful nails I have got is from this nail salon. I have to say that the products they use on the nails is the best because they can last very very long on my nails, untill more than 2 weeks. The technicians are also talented and creative because they can design very quickly and beautifully even very small patterns.
Im a busy mom and they get me in and out at my convenience. Great staff, clean shop!
The people are so nice and talented never ever had a bad experience!
I consistently get beautiful manicures and pedi’s from this place. Professionals.
Thanks to for Christina, from the eyelash extensions for reaching out to me to give them a chance to rectify my previous less than stellar experience. I came back for a mani/pedi this time and it was much improved. I arrived right on time and didnt have to wait. I brought my own colors but they have their colors organized by brand/color. Christina even made sure to wipe down my bottles after use since the nail polish buildup can make the bottles extremely difficult to open. All of the 9 pedicure stations and manicure booths are very modern/new. I can definitely tell that they did a great job with the remodeling, and all of the decor also looks beautiful! Im impressed that they have so many stations as other places that I have been to only have 3-5 (i.e. M&T in West Newton) so this would be a great option if you wanted to make an appointment with friends. During the pedicure she made sure to check in to make sure that the water temperature or the massage pressure was appropriate. The pedicure also includes the hot stones massage. They have 2 large TV monitors on news: one in the pedicure area and one in the manicure area. The manicure station has a counter with built-in a cubby with fan for your hands instead of the mini table fans at most nail salons. The waiting station after the mani/pedi has the fruit flavored mints and they also offer neck/shoulder massages for an additional cost. Christina usually does waxes and the eyelash extensions but she worked carefully on the manicure and pedicure. My skin and nails are pretty sensitive, so unfortunately I had some nicks from the manicure.I also found out that they opened last July. Happy 1 year anniversary to Zaza in Newton! After my second experience, Im glad that I came back here to try out the mani/pedi. All of the people working there seem very hardworking and I really appreciate that they care enough about client service to reach out to me with a sincere apology with an explanation of what happened, then offer to fix the disappointment. Ill definitely stop by to prepare for the next special occasion.
Its not that I disliked Zaza Nails and Spa but their waxing practices are very unsanitary. I got a Brazilian wax and underarm wax and the esthetician did not wear gloves at any point. She also performed the wax using wooden sticks (which is fine) but she redipped the same stick in the pot of wax and I assume they do not get new wax for each customer so sticks that have touched countless peoples skin are all getting dipped in the same pot. These kinds of practices are very risky and its possible to contract STIs and other infections so I will not be returning until they change their methods.
Staff was unfriendly and rude.
