Amazing fishing trip. Great captain, and daughter Mate is outstanding ! They both gave exceptional instruction & support. Gorgeous, immaculate boat. we had so much fun. Been on lots of these types of fishing charters all over. This one was by far the best. Can’t wait to climb aboard again next time we visit Newport.

Captain Joe and First Mate Coral were phenomenal! Their experience shows in every action they do. We went out yesterday morning and caught our limit on Stripped Bass within 45 minutes. Before the day was over we had our coolers full. They put in extra work for my 7yo to make sure his experience became a memory. We enjoyed the charter so much, I just booked another trip in a couple weeks!

We’ve been out on a few different charters in RI and Sara Star is by far the best. Captain Joe and First Mate Coral are super knowledgable, friendly, great with kids, and provide everything needed for a perfect day on the water. We caught stripers, sea bass, and even a thresher shark! Can’t wait to join them again.

What an experience! What a boat!Captain Joe and Coral really know exactly what they are doing. We had a fantastic time fishing and seeing the sights around Newport Harbor. A wonderful multispecies trip, we caught some big fat stripers, then we did some bottom fishing and caught a pile of black sea bass, scup, and even a flounder and a dog fish! After we bottom fished for a while, we came BACK around for some more stripers and caught another big fat one! I also really appreciated how Captain Joe and Coral take conservation of the fisherie seriously, and want to fish sustainably. We caught a 42 striper and made sure we did what we could to revive it as well as tag and register it for research!Cant say enough good things about them, and I am fairly certain we will be booking with them every year they are available.Thank you again Joe & Coral!

A great experience!!! My wife and I did a half-day with Joe and had an amazing time. He walked us through the techniques and made it easy for us to get the hang of things. Great trip with Joe and Cody. Took our family of 5 out for a morning fish. They were very friendly and informative, showed us the proper way to fish, both trolling for stripers and blues and then dropped lines for bass. Wonderful time. Would highly recommend. Bring a good sized cooler for your fish

Myself and 2 friends went out for an afternoon charter and had an amazing time. Capt. Joe and 1st Mate Coral were absolutely awesome. We did some trolling and ground fishing. We caught a bunch of fish and Capt. Joe filleted the keepers for us when we hit the dock. I would highly recomend calling Sara Star Charters for next fishing trip out of Newport!

Joe and Coral are the best around. This is my 4th charter and I don’t remember the other charters’ names! Really! They are THAT good! Professional, hard-working, competitive, and fun! Great sense of humor and great music! They have a true passion for finding YOU the fish. It was an action packed day for my whole family that we will NEVER forget! I’m already planning my next trip! This is the only boat I will trust to put me on the meat. I’m hopeful to catch an abundance of species on the Coral Rose!

Joe took my wife and I out on a miserable day, windy, rainy, real sloppy seas. the boat, a Downeaster just cuts through the crud and kept us comfortable. we had our limit of striper in 20 minutes. Then we bottom fished for Sea Bass and joe kept chunking mackerel and brought in stripers which we caught and released on light tackle. got our limit of sea bass as well. will surely go back.

My boyfriend and I recently chartered a half day with Sara Star. We had an incredible trip with Captain Joe! He’s extremely knowledgeable and does his best to make sure you have a successful catch. He had a great playlist going which we loved. We had an absolute blast. Look no further!

Went out yesterday with my husband, two sons, and our nephew.... we had an amazing day! The captain and his daughter were awesome, and patient, and helpful, and we caught some great fish. It was definitely worth it! My husband is already trying to find a time to go out again with a friend.

Every time I go to Newport to visit family, we go out with Joe and Coral. Weve been out with them twice and, both times, we have had an absolute blast! A Fantastic day on the water Capt Joe and Mate Coral. These guys do a great job, any level of fisherman will enjoy a day on the water with these guys.They know where the fish are, and they are constantly changing until they find a spot, bait, or technique that works that day.Highly recommend going out with these guys
