Shim did an excellent job on my hair! She made me feel comfortable with her in such a short amount of time. Definitely returning!

I was not happy with the large gouge that came out of my hair over my left ear. The tech didn’t acknowledge it or apologize. I was disappointed

Don’t come here for any special treatment or hair straightening, the owner did a horrific job and she knew it too, she didn’t care

I went last week with my mother to use groupons for highlight, trim, deep conditioning, and a wash. I say down and the lady seemed unhappy from the get go. I have very long thick hair, so I did apologize because I know my hair can be a bit of a pain. I didn’t catch her name, she barely talked to me at all. But I had the short asian lady who works in the first station behind the counter. She was very rough pushing my head around to be where she wanted me, pulling my hair all over, etc. When we got to the wash the water was really cold which actually felt good simply because of how bad she made my scalp hurt. But she failed to get all the product out. When we went to comb and dry my hair the real nightmare began. She asked how do I comb my hair. And seemed to not know what “It’s a 10” spray detangler is or Wet brush. Both pretty common or popular products to my knowledge. She seemed to not know what detangler was at all when I asked! She started at my roots, working one handed and just dragging down. No attempt to hold my hair to prevent pulling it out. She eventually gave up as I tried not to cry and had me comb the other side of my head while she tried to blowdry the matted mess she had created. I ended up walking out with half dry, matted hair. I had to go to another salon right after and fork over 40$ to get my hair rewashed, to get the bleach and other products out, detangled and combed out. As well as retrimmed because the original trim was uneven and my hair was so damaged. I lost probably 4 inches of hair when I only meant to lose an inch or so. I have a patches of totally white hair that’s damaged and fragile. One segment near my face is 4 inches shorter than the rest but thankfully it has a gradient and I can hide it in the rest of my hair. What was meant to be a relaxing girls day became just an evening of pain and stress about what my hair would end up looking like. 10/10, would not recommend.

I bought a groupon. She refused to honor it. At first she said it was because I was pregnant. Then she said if I said $77 she only gets $30 of that. Then she said People with hair like yours shouldnt buy groupons. Im heartbroken. She refused to do my hair.

I have extremely difficult hair. I have never found a stylist who could handle it well no matter how much I spent. Cuts were always off and no one could do the color right. I have been to the same stylist at Hairriffic twice and she is AMAZING. She not only is vary knowledgeable and intuitive about hair, she actually *listens* to what you want. Im sold. I wont go anyplace else now.

I love shim. She does a wonderful job. Establishment is comfortable and welcoming. I highly recommend this hair studio!

I got a Japanese Hair Straightening treatment with Shim and not only was she kind but she also did an amazing job! Will definitely be back.

Most horrible haircut ever!!! A simple bob that looked more like a bad shag when finished. Refused to fix it unless I waited in line behind several other victims and also refused to refund my money. Ended up having to pay for another haircut somewhere far from this hack shop.

I went to get a cut and highlights. Haircut was meh and my hair was fried. It’s been so dry and breaking all over the place. I’m thinking about cutting off seven inches so that my hair can just be healthy again.
