Doctor Samaha is a holistic dentist who truly cares about her patients. If you are apprehensive about going to a dentist, her bedside manner will melt away any fears you may have. And her staff is very friendly and professional.Recently I had oral surgery and the process went very well. So much so I couldnt have ask for it to have gone any better. Even though I came in for a tooth extraction, it became apparent more was going on. I ended up needing to have emergency oral surgery. So you can imagine how glad I was to learn that Dr. Samaha had the training to do that. I really felt I was in good hands, which was very reassuring. And I was thankful she did it right there on that visit! I was pain-free the whole time and I liked the fact that Dr. Samaha let me know what she was doing during the procedure since Im the type that like to know whats going on. Most of all her manner of speaking to me kept me calm, along with her reassuring words. Im impressed with the abilities that Dr. Samaha has in the different facets of dentistry.I think most dentist would have needed to send me to an oral surgeon. At my follow up visit I was pleased to hear everything had healed properly in a short time frame! I feel a part of that was due to her technical abilities in performing that procedure. I am so happy I found Dr. Samaha and highly recommended her.

Sad to say that I have had the worst experience with this office. The issue wasn’t with the care but with the billing and insurance department. I payed cash for my families service. Our insurance sent them the checks and they cashed them although they were in MY name. To not drag this story any longer I am still dealing with this issue almost a year to the date! There was no assistance on the dentist office part. I have had to navigate this and there is still no resolution. So essentially insurance fraud is no big deal to them.

Absolutely love this dentist office. The doctor took her time to explain everything to myself as well as my small children in a way they could understand. The front staff is very friendly and made us feel welcomed. This place has changed my children’s outlook on dentist offices and gave me hope that even in dentistry you can be healed holistically.

It was like a magic trick see this now you don’t. The best reverse psychology used on an adult I have ever seen relax this way okay your numb lol!! The nurse staff was amazing the way they all cared Lisa Marie Samaha, DDS she was the actual dentist that numbed me and extracted my tooth! I felt the relief from the pressure! She was very general and she even checked on me that night! How awesome is it to have someone that cares even after you leave!! I wish I could give them more than just my review! I saw the Netflix Documentary called ”Root Cause” and at the end of the documentary they mentioned to find a biological dentist. Dr. Samaha was on top of the list on Google. I read a lot of her great reviews too and knew this was the right doctor to see. She spent a lot of time with me and found out the cause of my right sternocleidomastoid pain. Im hoping we can get to the bottom of it very soon. Dr. Samaha and her staff truly care and were very comforting. I grabbed some cards from her office to pass them out to people that want to see a holistic dentist. She has some of the best equipment that I would typically see at a oral surgeons office not a dentist. I was very impressed of the office and equipment. I work with an excellent doctor myself, so I was very pleased with everyone and everything in there. I highly recommend Dr. Samaha.

Everything about this dentist and her staff is five stars and should be 10 Stars. Ive never met such a compassionate and caring team from the front desk to the billing office to the dental assistants, everybody there makes you feel so comfortable which takes away a lot of the dental fears that I have. I went in there a complete mess because I broke another tooth, and I already had cavitation on other broken teeth. Been dealing chronic Lyme disease and seizures, and general overall poor health. Dr. Samaha does very thorough exams and totally understands the body/mind/ spirit connection. She has a koi pond to relax Her patients, music if you need it, very comforting. I would highly recommend her to everyone!

Everything about a visit to Dr. Samaha’s dental office makes you feel special – from the beautiful waiting area where you check in, to the friendly smiles on every staff member’s face, to not feeling rushed through whatever Dr. Samaha is doing for you. She comes into the room with her own friendly smile, really listens to your concerns, does whatever treatment, and patiently answers any questions. She makes me feel confident that my mouth is in good hands.

Dr. Samaha is so warm and inviting. Shes knowledgeable about cutting edge science - isnt afraid to look into new things. She uses SMART removal to take out silver/mercury fillings, very interested in helping with dental anxiety, and very thorough. She incorporates ozone in her treatment plan as well! My favorite thing about this practice is that she talks a TON about diet, especially to my kids. They need to hear it from someone else besides me!

It is difficult to be at ease in a dental environment. However the strides taken towards that end at PWDA have been most successful. The staff is engaging, personable, thorough, and most importantly competent. I feel more like I am visiting favorite family members than a medical practice. The family at Port Warwick Dental Arts is amazing! I have been under Dr. Samaha’s care for years and I’ve never experienced any medical care as wonderful as hers. Her treatment rooms were carefully designed to help a patient relax and allay fears many patients have about going to the dentist. Her staff is trained not only in the technical aspects of their work, but also in being very attentive to patients’ needs and concerns. And once, after I had surgery and was home recovering, she called to see how I was and when she sensed I wasn’t feeling well, she sent one of her techs to my house to take my blood pressure and temp and speak with Dr. Samaha by phone about my current state. And that’s just patient care! The quality of her work is just as stellar! I have gotten so many compliments on my beautiful smile after she applied my veneers! By far the most knowledgeable, professional, and courteous experience I have ever had. I was not prepared for the level of expertise I received and am still awestruck this experience.

I don’t even know how to begin! I have been terrified of dentists since I was a young child. I have neglected my smile for years, and have been driving by her practice for at least 5 of those years. I always felt a “pull” to make an appointment but fear stopped me, Pain and swelling finally made me call, the experience I had with Dr Samaha and her staff was nothing short of miraculous!! So calming and peaceful as I entered the practice. The wait was long as I became more anxious, but ohhhhh so very worth it! Never in my life have I experienced anything in a dental practice like this! She is compassionate, empathetic, professional, and truly blessed with her gift of healing and understanding the whole person sitting before her. I had an infection and pain in an upper tooth as I had lost a filling and part of the tooth broke off. I was suffering for days ( of course it happened on a Saturday). Finally after speaking with this kind and gentle soul she moved me to “the chair”😱she calmed me with her soothing voice and gave me a rinse for my mouth to reduce my anxiety. In 5 minutes I kid you not my anxiety went down at least 75%. Then after xrays she informed me she needed to extract the infected tooth! I knew it needed to be done as well and I was trying so hard to be brave but I was still terrified, but somehow ai trusted her and the dental assistant to take care of me! She gave me the injection to numb me and I honestly did not feel it at all!! Really and I know people say this all the time but she is so incredibly skilled that she was finished and I could not believe that she had injected me already. Then the extraction, of course I felt pressure as she talked to me about the warm sunshine and the sand between my toes to help me with guided imaginary. The extraction was completed painlessly and ozone was infused into the space to help heal it. At this point tears are streaming down my face in gratitude of the awesomeness of Dr Samaha and her GOD given gift of dentistry and healing! Today is day one post op and I have had absolutely no pain!!! At all!!! She called me this morning on her personal cell to see how I was doing and said she prayed for my comfort last night!! What Dr. do you know that does that??? Words cannot explain how completely enveloped I felt in that practice with love and understanding!! I can honestly say I trust her, what a blessing to have found her and her staff. Please go and see her you will be astounded at the experience! I am in complete awe of her and the entire process. I waited for hours for my appointment, which posed some challenges, but I still give five stars because it was worth the wait. The dentist has rare and valuable skills and also knows how to talk to patients. This is a rare practice that has caring conscientious aware staff, top notch practices and most importantly a dedicated and very knowledgeable, highly skilled dentist who is a thorough diagnostician. Also if you want integrative/biological/biomimetic dentistry, this place is the full picture of that kind of practice. I will update when I get more care here but as of now I recommend highly.

I would like to start with thanking the very helpful and sweet woman (whose name I just cant remember) who was very gracious to me and my family the entire visit and made me feel at ease even when it was chaos. From one military family to another I will forever be thankful to you. I did a phone interview with Lisa Samaha with the impression of bringing both my children in for a free consultation. That was not true and ended up paying $98 for one of my children. The visit was not the greatest I will admit. My oldest son(age 3) does not do well at the dentist and having to juggle both my son and daughter(age 1) was a disaster. After the chaotic appointment we had to leave in a hurry because my son was having a meltdown after being there for a while. I left with little to no information and called back to have a quick reminder of what was said and recommended but was informed I needed to make an appointment to go over what was said. So I scheduled an appointment for almost two weeks later. I went in and wasnt seen until close to an hour after my appointment time and had a very unpleasant experience. Lisa Samaha talked about my daughter with ease and when it came to my son she had nothing nice to say. She went on and showed me a video of an older kid who sat perfectly still in a dentist chair for hours and said that my son should be able to do that. After going on about how shes never dealt with the behaviors my son showed that day( she wasnt able to control him) and out of all her prestigious years of being known as the dentist who can calm the wildest kids and give them a wonderful dental experience she would not be able to treat my son. She kept implying my son had behavior issues and assumed he has horrible sleeping patterns and to which she was wrong on all her assumptions and even seemed puzzled when I corrected her. At that point she was very disrespectful and not compassionate at all and even said she feels bad for me for having to deal with my son. She then referred me to a behavioral specialist. I caught myself trying to defend my son but stopped myself because I shouldnt have to convince this woman that her only impression of my son is wrong. I simply said okay and went on my merry way. As I was checking out thats when the surprise charge of $98 came and that was unfortunate but just paid it anyway to get out of that environment. As I was paying this bill that she lied about the receptionist relayed that Lisa Samaha would allow my son to come back for another visit. How sweet of her. After this woman labeled my son and disrespected my family she would take him back. Why go through all that? Its very unfortunate because finding a holistic dentist was amazing and very exciting for me and she just made it so awful with her choice of words. I completely understand that she has every right to deny service but she was very unprofessional and disrespectful and I just cant support someone like that. I would recommend you ask all about pricing upfront and make sure the communication is clear. Thats the only recommendation I have. My family and I will happily find another dentist. I dislike denal office with a passion, until I went to D . Lisa!! Everytime I would go to the Dentist I left in severe pain, until I we t to Dr. Lisa! My very first visit, when she found out I was in pain, immediately she took me back, listened to me, calmed me down and gave me all natural meds to ease the pain. The forat visit turn into five hours because Dr. Lisa found some foreign object in my mouth that wasnt supposed to be there. She stuck with me until she cleaned everything out. Her nurse, Megan, was with her the whole. I have NEVER been treated like a human being before in a dental office, until I went to Dr. Lisa!! Her, her staff, the office environment is EXACTLY what I needed. She is personal and hands on and wants each patient to be healed!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DR AND THIS OFFICE!

OMG! Ive never been to a dentist like Dr. Samaha. Ive never even heard of one like she is. And her team (as she calls them) too – everyone is so positive!And theyre so thorough also with their wholistic approach to medicine and health. Add to that their obvious continuing education and research and their investments in cutting-edge technology. They certainly inspire confidence.And finally, being in their office is a bit like being in an art gallery. Dr. Samah is an artist, having painted many of the pieces of artwork that decorate the walls, and she personally curated the others. Plus, she designed the building from the ground up! The best part may be the koi pond in the garden that is visible through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls directly in front of each dental chair. WOW!!

I definitely believe this visit to Port Warick Dental Arts was one of the most memorable and exceptional experiences ever -Recently I paid a visit to Dr. Samaha for a removal of one of my molars, the attention and care I receive from the point of entry greeted by the receptionist ( Heather ) to the doctor and her assistants was astoundingly amazing. The doctor herself was very meticulous with explaining the procedure and her work itself. I would state that this dentist office in the state of VA and/or America itself as being one of the most prestigious and honorary businesses this century could every offer.

I don’t know how she’s a doctor, all she cares about just how to get money from people. She told me a lot things about my teeth and she was like you need to change a lot things in your mouth that didn’t even need to be changed. Definitely don’t recommend her for anyone. She isn’t a honest at all trying to work on something that does even need any work.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Samaha for a 18 months. Most recently, I participated in her 6 Months Smiles Program. BUT not before I spent 3 months on periodontal treatments. I was intent on having nice, straight teeth; but she knew in order for me to be successful, my gum disease needed to be put at bay. This type of comprehensive and holistic health approach is what you can expect when you go to her office. I’ve always HATED the dentist. I neglected my teeth and gums well into adulthood. Walking into Dr. Samaha’s office can be described as tranquil. It doesn’t have that sterile look or smell of a typical dentist’s office. It’s inviting. Which can certainly reduce stress for even the most anxious patient.Dr. Samaha is the only dentist on staff and she and her team are very thorough. For those reasons, you should allot more time than you might typically plan for when you go see her and her staff. The staff are friendly and inviting. Ms. Annette, the accounts manager, has become my “dental mom,” advising me on financing options and updated me on my insurance claims. Each appointment I was seen by the same hygienist (depending on what we were working on) so I was able to build rapport and be a bit more comfortable. HUGE shout out to Ele! She put on and removed the wire for my braces month after month - always with patience, a smile, and firm but gentle hands.Anyways... after years of crooked teeth, I finally have an amazing smile to be proud of, thanks to Dr. Samaha. I highly recommend her practice.

Highly recommended, no one comes close! Ive been to many different Dentists and this is the first time I have ever had my blood pressure taken before being examined! The Doctor also screens for cancer under the tongue and other areas of the mouth with some kind of blue light.

Other than a short wait (of 1 1/2 hours due to a couple walk in emergencies), once we got started the appointment went very well.Maria set me up with a comfortable pillow as she recalled my fractured C4-5-6 from an accident left little comfort, Leah did a very good job with the BP, bite wings and the prophy and the doctor’s exam which included laser therapy went very well without pain. I had an adjustment on some work done in Mexico and on my dental appliance which abated my snoring due to extreme apnea. This was probably one of the best dental appointments I’ve had in a very long time. Dr JC Linn.

I had an incredibly wonderful experience at Port Warwick Dental Arts. Dr. Lisa Marie Samaha is an exceptional dentist. I am preparing my body for pregnancy and needed to get my toxic mercury amalgams removed, and make sure I didn’t have periodontal disease, as I am quite aware that both can contribute to dangers during pregnancy for my baby and me.I had a talk with Dr. Samaha about removing the fillings and she took her time to educate me and gave me valuable information about the mouth and body connection and the effects that oral disease can have on my overall wellbeing. We then proceeded with the most comprehensive dental examination I have ever had. I was also very impressed with her state-of-the-art dental technology. The examination revealed that I needed more intensive treatment that I had imagined. Dr. Samaha addressed my diagnosed condition with ease, grace and expert care. Because I was traveling, we only had a short time to get a lot of treatment done. It was intense, but gentle and compassionate. All much needed for my health. Post-treatment a few days, I am now recovering fast and feeling great. Dr. Samaha has changed my life! She not only restored my teeth and helped to heal my gums, but she also helped create a shift within me. I am now making better food choices and because of that, I’ll have a longer enduring life because of my experience with her and her practice. I am forever grateful for her and her team because I know my future children will be stronger and healthier because of my treatment with her.I’d also like to add that Dr. Samaha’s team were such angels. I cannot believe how amazing Dr. Lisa and her staff were to my family and me. The atmosphere was welcoming with positive energy and I felt truly good being there. For the first time, my daughters did not feel fear about being at the dentist.Moreover, her expertise in dentistry is unmatched. I have searched for years to find a more holistic dentist for my family. I live in New Jersey with my three daughters and took my daughters to one of the best pediatric dentists in New Jersey. However, I was not satisfied with what I was told about one of my daughters teeth. I knew there had to be better options, but they told me that there were no other options. Two of my daughters also did not like the dentist and were fearful of going back. So, I began the search along with my daughters father and he found Dr. Lisa, in Newport News Virginia!After the first appointment, we have made the decision to travel to Virginia for our dental care. The technology and depth of knowledge of Dr. Lisa is unmatched. Not only does Dr. Lisa have a dental practice but she also teaches other dentists in holistic dentistry! She is an actual expert in her field! Dr. Lisa and her staff not only treat the teeth, but they also teach their patients about the importance of dental care during the appointment. I learned so much just being there. My daughters also learned how to properly brush their teeth, when they should brush it and for how long. My experience with Dr. Samaha and staff was amazing!! I received a full set of custom dentures and my smile turned out amazing! Dr. Samaha and her staff are very polite and knowledgeable. Most people dont like the dentist but, I can honestly say I really enjoyed my experience with Dr. Samaha and staff! The dentures that she created for me have completely changed a lot of things in my life! My chipped mercury filled molar tooth turned out be a blessing in disguise! I was searching for a holistically minded dentist who could safely remove mercury from my chipped molar and I am beyond thrilled to have found Dr. Samaha and Port Warwick Dental Arts. The office is peaceful, serene and calming. Ele, April, Leah, CJ and Annette are each such wonderful assets to PWDA practice. I found myself getting nervous before the procedure (mercury removal and crown) and Dr. Samaha and April did some fantastic breathing techniques with me and before I new it and credits to Dr. Samaha s skill and technique, I was totally numbed before I could realize I was even given a shot. My father, (a verified patient in your records V. Davis) and a retired US NAVY Veteran came here with his TRICARE insurance in order to receive dental care after hearing of great reviews. He also grew up with not the best access to dental care in his childhood prior to his service which has caused problems in the long run despite his attempt to reverse it. After being told how much his out of pocket expenses would be he asked why would it cost this much with TRICARE in which Dr. Lisa responded TRICARE is really for people with healthy teeth. I believe her response was in poor taste, this is not how you treat a patient at all especially a veteran who receives TRICARE for his 20+ years of service.

They were amazing...the staff is very friendly. I hate going to the dentist...but they really made me feel at ease. Dr. Lisa Marie Samaha...actually saved my life..I had a bad infection and was unaware of the infection. She is amazing.

There should be just a poor quality tab. Dr. Samaha is a very educated woman. However, all reviews that are written on her site and others by patients are turned into her and edited by her before being placed on the sites. If you go to PWDA you can expect extremely long wait times and a very short visit with the doctor, over priced services, and lack of organization. Her office is beautiful but the care is sub par. Procedures that should take an hour and half taking 4-5hrs is not an over exaggeration in this practice. The staff is highly stressed and you can see it on all of their faces. The turn over rate is very high in this practice; youll always see a new face. Therefore there will never be consistence in this office. She says she places implants but ask her how often, trust me there are more quality doctors in the Oyster Point area who place implants daily. Youre also expected to pay for your services upfront and file your own insurance if you want to actually be reimbursed in a timely manner. I’m sorry but do any everyday typical patients know what a 4910 code is??? I didn’t think so. Be very wary of this office and don’t judge the book (PWDA) by the cover and flashy accessories.
