Dr Stockberger, and staff, do excellent with my stream of questions before a procedure. I’ve been with this dental office since Dr Hinson back in late 1970sThis recent visit was for a filling that got loose in an upper left wisdom tooth. Hadn’t needed a cavity filled in over a decade. The cavity needed to be drilled out and whatever portions were cleaned needed to be refilled.The procedure started with numbing which I need a lot of. I could hardly feel the drill more likely the sound would shock me. The materials as explain to me were first class and should last a long time with my caring for my teeth.Thank you and your staff for a pain free visit. And for helping me keep all my teeth

Person. The front desk staff, the hygienists and of course dr stockburger. Everyone makes me feel so welcome and 110% lowers my anxiety if I’m feeling nervous about a particular procedure. I love it here so much. everything is super clean too!

I like the doctor well enough but man do they make it difficult. The phone goes straight to voicemail and they dont return voicemails. Ive sent at least 3 emails, none answered. Their web chat will only help with setting up appointments. The receptionist flat out ignored me today when I asked for an update 35 minutes after my appointment time.

I read he has very good reviews but also works with military members so i gave it a try. I can tell you that him and his whole team were God sent! I had dental caries that was causing me some problems during the winter holidays..Due to me being a Travel Nurse Practitioner for COVID19 in the Tidewater VA area I had to randomly find someone in the area..I had such an EXCELLENT experience with Dr Stockburger and his amazing dental hygienist plus his professional medical secretary Shana that I took the long drive back to Tidewater VA area for my oral hygiene care and dental procedures I needed 2 more times..Not only are they professional but honestly caring and compassionate about the patients best interest..Highly recommended!!

As complicated as my cases have been, with more procedures to come, I have never met a more dedicated, and patient staff as OPS. Unfortunately this is why so many neglect oral care for fear of pain and costs. The irony is, delay incurs costs and some pain. But not here. They were very informative regarding my insurance plans, they helped me navigate coverage options when my college student had to change carriers, and were compassionate regarding an emergency referral for him that same day. Their advances in pain are so phenomenal, I had to ask several times if he even started the work. They are as considerate as they are frank regarding not just oral care but how it impacts overall health. If youre ready to be candid and honest about oral care, and treated with inclusive respect, then this is the place for you. If you want a family atmosphere, and kindness, you will find it here. My only regret, is not using them sooner. I couldnt have a better dental family.

I was terrified of dentists due to past dental experiences. Dr. Stockberger and his entire team from Shanae and Beth to the hygenists to the doc himself are all very professional yet extremely friendly.My first visit was because of a broken tooth. They make every effort to make the patient comfortable while there. Dr. S. uses state of the art equipment and always, but especially during Covid, employs strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols. I’ve been a patient for a number of years, and would recommend this practice.

Dr. Stockburger and staff are AMAZING. I needed two emergency crowns and they not only fit me in but got me started on a treatment plan without any guilt. I am unnaturally terrified of the dentist, and I have always been so nervous trying to find a new dentist. When my last dentist wasnt making the effort to make the experience less scary for me, I decided to try someplace new. Ive had a fear of the dentist since I was little. Ive had some really rough dentists before that left me with a lot of anxiety when I needed to see one. My sister recommended Oyster Point Smiles. I actually made her go with me to the appointment because I was so nervous. I was pretty sure I needed a crown and I couldnt put it off any longer. The staff had me so at ease as soon as I walked in. Everything was so calming and went so smoothly, that I didnt even realize until after I left that I wasnt even nervous AT ALL while I was there. I dont know how they did it, but they ROCK!!! After painlessly filling some cavities (even the novocaine was relatively painless) he took the time to explain and show me the work that had just been performed and what to look out for in the future. I do not know of anyone that has a bit of a fear of seeing the dentist, much less an orthodontist. I have been putting this off for over a year, the last orthodontist I saw was pretty good, but this one is fantastic. High tech so I didnt have to sit there with goop in my mouth and the Dr listened to my concerns for the treatment plan. Signed up for the invisalign, should be coming in in the next week or so.Update:I now have my invisaligns, and they are taking a bit to get used to. But at my age anything would take a bit getting use to.
