Chuck is an exceptional salesman, he is very honest, attentive and has an extensive attention to detail profile. He is devoted to the customers needs and goes above and beyond to guaranteed the customer is satisfied. My husband and I walked in the dealership with no intentions of purchasing a vehicle but due to the warm welcome we received from Chuck and his drive and motivation to assist us and made sure we were satisfied motivated us to purchase a vehicle. I always go to Ford dealers as they have always treated us fairly across the country. It is so nice to go to Ford dealers and know that I will not be treated disrespectfully (as a female), and always appreciate a certain level of professionalism (until now). I asked about two small issues and was told it would be $169 each for diagnostics, and he acted like they had no interest in looking at them.I gave them several tries, as I thought the first time might have just been a busy day. I have never received poor service like this at any dealer. No print outs of what was/was not completed. No status updates. The last time, I made an appointment and waited for my car and it took over four hours for a routine oil change/tire rotation. I was trying to be patient and walked to some of the little strip malls in the area. I checked in with the service advisor several times, and when I finally started to get really frustrated, he said that he had me down as a drop off, even though I had an appointment time and had checked with him several times over the hours. Misunderstandings happen. But, no apologies and then argued with me about it being my fault. When I filled out the survey, it said I should receive a call from the manager (which I never received). With so many other choices. We will not return here.
I worked with the sales Manager Ryan and my sales person was Stephanie Sprouse. I came in with a low budget purchase on my mind and left with the car I truly wanted. They worked great to help me out and keep me in the loop. They cared about what I wanted and any concerns I had. The vehicle price was better than anywhere else. I came into Hall Ford in Newport News to have my 2017 Ford mustang looked at for a trunk wiring harness issues (broken wires). My initial visit didn’t go as well but after talking to Mr. Rodgers (Service Manager) I came back a week later and had the Harness replaced. I got a replacement vehicle for the day and was happy with the results. Communication is key to success and Mr. Rodgers was easy to talk with and what my concerns were.
Took my vehicle in for oil service (to include a 23 point inspection) and tire balancing. . returned home and discovered my tires are worn to the marker. . i told them i was towing a trailer on a cross country trip, but they didnt alert me to the danger from worn tires. . clearly, they dont do a 23 point inspection. . i wasted $80 to balance the tires. . they lost an opportunity to sell me 4 tires. . they also lost my future business because i dont trust their service.hall ford service department doesnt deliver trustworthy service.

I bought my Mustang at Hall Ford and I always take it back here to get serviced. They make sure you get the fixes that your vehicle really needs. The service is fast. I made an appointment a week in advance to have my F-150s oil and filter changed, tires rotated, state safety inspection completed and take care of a safety recall for the master cylinder. My appointment was for 8:45 AM. I arrived before 8:45 and the service rep got the process started. He asked if I was going to wait and I said no I was not, but I did want the work completed that day. I was concerned the safety recall would take some time to complete. I did not receive a call from the service rep until I called him about 1:30 and left a message. He returned my call about 2:15 or so and advised me the the service tech had my truck in the garage and was working on the safety recall. He said the work should be completed by 4:30 PM. It was. My concern is, why make an appointment for early morning when they obviously did not begin work on my truck until some time in the afternoon? Was it because I was not waiting for it?? Seems to me if you make an appointment your vehicle should be worked on soon after you bring it in - especially if you have an early appointment. They may have completed the inspection and oil change in the AM, but apparently did not begin work on the recall until the afternoon.
I needed to get my tires rotated, but we couldnt locate my wheel lock key. I went to Hall Ford and ended up ordering a whole new wheel lock kit and they were very helpful and I received my order pretty quickly. Every single person I dealt with was helpful, friendly and professional. The price was also very reasonable. I will absolutely go back to them again and highly recommend them!

I purchased a 2019 Toyota Corolla to be shipped from your Hall Toyota of NC to the Hall Ford Dealership of Newport News. I love the car and it met most of my needs. My biggest issue was with the service at my home location. The staff, ESPECIALLY manager BYRON REESE and service manager ALICIA CHAPMAN JONES and the entire service department were EXTREMELY unprofessional, lacking in hospitality, and continuously giving me the run around and wasting hours of my time every time I came to their location. As a service member in the US Air Force, this is an extremely disrespectful and appalling level of unprofessionalism. I purchased the car two days ago and was called by BYRON REESE yesterday to inform me that I had to return over 40 mins to the dealership for an inspection that should’ve been done BEFORE purchasing the vehicle. I arrive this morning for what shouldve been no longer than an hour of a procedure, to which I sat for OVER THREE HOURS with no updates or even eye contact from any personnel. They acted as if it was an issue with ME asking about MY vehicle and gave me the run around yet again, only listing TWO minor things needing to be fixed on my car that should not have taken over an hour. Then no one knows where my keys or my car is and I have to hunt down my vehicle. They also NEVER answer their phones, and it takes someone over 15 mins to “find a manager” that can be easily located by looking over their shoulder as all of the grown men up front stand and sit at the desk and gaze into each other’s eyes like high school sweethearts. I am not only extremely disappointed in the service, as I purchased a defective 2018 Ford Ecosport from the same location a week ago and returned it, but with their complete disregard for myself as a customer and dragging their feet when importance and TIME are of the essence.
I took my 2020 Raptor in for service and the Hall team did a great job. On time and no extra costs!! Great experience!! Highly recommend!!

The service (The Works) was fine. However, when I scheduled the appointment I asked the rep if I could use the coupon I received in the mail for two vehicles. I was told yes “no problem” and back to back appointments we’re scheduled. When I arrived the service advisor said I could not apply the coupon for two vehicles and the call center got it wrong. I feel like the advisor should have honored what the call center rep told me. Customer service was lacking in that situation.
Its the little things that mean the most that can easily rank you over competitors. Like checking and topping off customers fluids. This simple task wasnt performed twice in a row by this service center, even though its stated on the invoices... thats why I gave them only 3 strars

My most recent experience was pretty good because of the service manager Mike Lewis, he was very kind and helpful which I wish it could be that way each time I need to bring my car to be serviced. Unfortunately my previous experiences with the mechanical staff was unpleasant because of the rudeness and lack of professionalism. Some of the mechanical staff members could benefit from some trainings on customer service and phone etiquette. If Hall Ford could please address and improve on those issues, the customers would greatly appreciate it.

I have been with Hall Ford since purchasing my vehicle in June 2019. The service team goes above and beyond for its customers. I purchased my car used and began having trouble with her almost a year in. I contacted my service advisor, William Rodgers, and he made sure everything was taken care of. Not only was he able to make sure that my warranty covered all issues, but he surprised me with a call Christmas Eve and told me my car was ready in time for the holidays. I am grateful for the service team here at Hall Ford. They are extremely professional, helpful, and they make sure we are not only satisfied but we are also safe. In March 2021, I was involved in an accident and Mr. Rodgers took care of everything and made sure I was okay. They treat you like family here and I appreciate each and everyone of them. I am always satisfied with my service and my experience is more than extremely exceptional. Thank you team!
I think it is ludicrous to text updates when you are waiting for your vehicle in the customer lounge! I like personalized service, and this is so impersonal. Please walk across the garage to the waiting area to update customers! Additionally, it is even more ludicrous to have to defer/accept maintenance suggestions via text--when you are in the waiting room. Now, heres what really gets me. I understand the thought process behind a designated service advisor, but when that advisor is not available at the time he is needed, what good does this do the customer?? If updates are put into one main system, why cant other advisors look information up.I had an appointment on July 23 at 1:15; I arrived a few minutes early. I was getting an oil change and state inspection. After about an hour and a half, I get a text saying that my inspection and oil change were complete. But there was suggested maintenance. And I had to defer/accept via the text. The problem with this is--how do I know (1) if this maintenance is absolutely necessary, (2) affect the vehicles performance, or (3) cause the vehicle to fail state inspection. Hence, why face-to-face interaction is so important. From the customer waiting area, I went to the service desk to ask these questions. My advisor was not there and no one could tell me anything. Yes, my advisor showed up within a minute or two. I deferred maintenance as it was not necessary or would affect vehicle performance.One hour after deferring maintenance, I still did not have my vehicle. So, I once again went the to service desk. My advisor was once again not there, and I mentioned that I deferred maintenance an hour ago and still did not have my vehicle. Someone else immediately went to find out and a technician was bringing in my invoice and keys about that time.Now, I chose to schedule an appointment and wait because these services should not take 2 1/2 hours. And I find that this type of service is very impersonal and does not make the customer feel valued. Please consider changing the way you do business or I may find another service provider. Thank you!!

Love the text message service. Made an appointment. Got in and got out with in an hour. brought my F150 in for its first oil change. Trucks is riding real smooth after the oil change. Did not have my door code and service was able to help locate it. Overall service was great. It will be my regular place for truck to be serviced.

Ok...where do I begin. I took my car in to have it fixed on April 16, 2021. It needed to be towed as it wouldnt start. I usually do my own car work, but I was very busy at the time and suggested to them that it was the ignition coil. They had the car for over two weeks. I had to call them first week to check up on it. They said that they hadnt found the problem. I suggested again, the ignition coil...they said that that checked out and that they were still looking into it. Okay. 2 weeks pass, I have to call them again. Turns out...its the ignition coil. Okay...get it done. Thats not really my complaint. My complaint is this...I get my car back and yesterday, I look under the hood. Wires not wrapped in at least electrical tape, battery cover was not secure and a wire harness clamp was not replaced back. So, I have to clean up after them and finish the job. ATTENTION TO DETAIL!!!!Next complaint. Recall notice for door locks...different car. Took it in last summer. We dont have the parts to fix it today, but we do...next time you come in, well fix it. Okay...inspection month rolls around. While its here...fix the recall. Pick up the car, their system was down and they couldnt confirm whether the recall applied to my car. Okay...let me know. They did, and yes it does. Okay...I lets schedule that appointment. Done. Bring the car in to have this work finally completed. They had the car ALL DAY only to tell me that they dont have the parts and that Ill need to reschedule.Why allow me to make the appointment after the car has been in there already twice (now 3 times) for this issue and keep the car all day only to tell me that they dont have the parts.THEY NEED TO TIGHTEN UP! ATTENTION TO DETAIL PEOPLE! VERY, VERY, CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
My experience every time I come here is well worth it the staff is always very helpful and I always take my car here no matter what because I never have problems afterwards I know I can depend on my dealership they always go through each and everything to make sure my expectations are met I always deal with ms Stephanie in the service department whom of which makes my experience the best I really love her she’s always the most helpful and has a smile on her face even on her busy days thanks you guys for keeping me rolling
Not completely satisfied- Service implied that both recalls would be done when we dropped it off and we didnt find out until we were ready to pick it up that one wouldnt happen that day. Had we known we would have done it differently and stopped by and had them look at the car and then drop the car off when both parts were in. Also experienced a rude tone when calling back to confirm when part would be in.
Awsome...walked in looking for a good used vehicle, walking out with a 2018 Ecosport with only 6,300 miles on it. Love it.
Very good service. Everyone from service desk to the technician was pleasant to work with. The tech was timely in diagnosing my vehicle’s issue, ordering the part, and performing the repair. He further made me aware of some things to keep my eye on based on the mileage of my vehicle, but at no point did I feel like I was being gouged or taken advantage of.
We usually love Hall Ford, but this past experience was very disappointing. We had two nails in our back right tire (small leak occurring)and needed it replaced. We had them order 2 new tires since it was recommended to not have one new tire with an old tire on one axle. We dropped the car off the night before so it would be there in the morning for when the tires got delivered. When we went to pick it up, we noticed two new tires on the front instead of the back. They told us that sometimes they rotate the tires so that was why they rotated the two still fine tires from the front to the back and put the new ones in the front. I got home and noticed my back right tire still had less air than all of the other tires. So I called and they double checked with the technician and found out they didnt replace the right tire. We had to rearrange our schedule and change our reservation and since we were supposed to be grabbing a trailer we rented from u-haul to take the car right back to the service dept to get it fixed. They apologized but still a mistake like that should never be made.
THANK YOU. I was on vacation from New Jersey and somehow my exhaust was dragging on the road. Came here 10 minutes before they were closing for the evening. They were GREAT, took my truck right into the back 15-20 minutes later William Rodgers came back telling me it was completed. Mechanic was able to weld the broken bracket, then stood on it to make sure it wouldnt come back down as I traveling back the next day. HATS OFF TO YOU GUYS.

Dont bother with the repair shop. They had my car for 2 weeks and still unable to fix the issues I asked for. Their mechanics must be deaf not to hear the noise, and they never answer the phone.
OMG the experience that i had at this dealership was awesome especially getting the phone video from my awesome salesperson Chuck Spriggs that way I knew who to look for when i got there i highly would recommend them and make sure you ask for Chuck Spriggs he will take very good care of you actually everyone there was so awesome by the way Im loving my VW Beetle
Great service. I went here because it was closer to my house. I didn’t realize that it was much more expensive then the previous Ford dealer to get an oil change. Customer service was excellent.
Mark was absolutely wonderful in helping us purchase our ford focus. We told him what we were looking for and he went and found it. They will definitely get our business in the future.UPDATE: The clutch went in the automatic transmission before we made our first payment in June. We purchased the car in May. Its been over two weeks since they told us what was wrong with it. However we have yet to get an appointment to have it fixed bc they are waiting for a loaner car, for us. Last week we were told it would be this week. Now this week we are being told we are on a waiting list for a loaner and they dont know when it will be. Meanwhile we are driving our car with less than 18,000 miles on it, with a messed up transmission.Update#2: Mark took care of everything. Our car is going in tomorrow for the service. Thank you so much Mark. Hes not only a great salesman, hes great all the way around!!!
Had a disappointing experience at Hall Ford this morning.First I learned there are no longer going on to Fort Eustis for their free ride. It would have been nice to learn that the head of time, as I have used this service for the past 5 years.Second, my car inspection came back saying I needed windshield wipers. This was a total scam as I recently replaced my windshield wipers at Advance Auto. But I had Hall install the wipers instead of taking the car and getting them put on some place else to return for reinspection.So, after using Hall for service for 5 years for the car I bought new from Hall, I am going to move on to a different service center.

The best thing I could have did!! Marvin was extremely helpful. He didnt pressure me into getting a car that I felt I wouldnt love like most salesman. I told him what I was looking for and he found what I wanted and more!!! My Ford Flex is NICE. I couldnt of ask for a better car.
