I’ve been here over the years since they’ve opened. Gel manicures have been okay, the pedicures are definitely better. But I went to get a gel last week for my birthday and this is what I got. I will not be coming back.

Love this place great quality service at a fair price. Lets just start with the fact that it smells nothing like your traditional nail salon; it smells like an amazing spa retreat. They take walk-ins however it is best to schedule your services before arrival. I love that I can schedule and prepay for my services on a monthly basis. They specialize in nail health and care. I like that my Nail tech (Michelle) is very knowledgeable about the health of my nails and what I need to do to keep them in good shape. I have been getting the powder manicure with her since August. You can see the growth and how health my nails are. In the picture with my naked nails that was right after soaking off the powder; they look amazing. When I came to her my nails were very damaged from harsh chemicals used in traditional (Asian) nail salons. She used awesome smelling oils to condition and moisturize my cuticles and nail beds back to health. Thank you for taking me on that day as a walk in. I will always pick quality over affordability as you must remember you will get what you pay for. The Ladies of Bella Rock!!!!

This is my favorite nail salon in the city of Newark. From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. Decor is awesome and the way they slay my nails (shorties) .... OUTSTANDING. My tech Michelle is a doll and makes sure you leave satisfied with ALL your services. They are adhering to Covid-19 rules and are appointment only, checking temps, and make you wash your hands as soon as you enter. Oh did I mention its a BLACK OWNED business. You wont be disappointed!

My appointment with Armanii on 8/19 was honestly not as expected and a little disturbing. I fell in love with the decor of the place and the handmade products that the salon used. My pedicure was luxurious. However, I am deeply unsatisfied with my results and offended by the way I was treated. When she painted my toes I accepted her suggestion of adding glitter and just asked for an ombre on the big toe, it resulted as more of a french to be honest.Moving on to my powder manicure I expressed my concern that the powder looked to be too thick and I personally prefer to have them shaven down to look more natural. She replied, If I shave down anymore itll be too thin and the powder will break, plus you dont want it to look like a gel manicure. Ive been doing powder manicures for YEARS at other establishments, I expressed that I understood her concern but my personal preference is that I like my powder thinner. She continued to ignore me and said, Trust me, I do this for a living. It needs to be thick otherwise itll break. At this point I resorted to begging and asked AGAIN if she could PLEASE shave them down a little more because I dont like the way they look. She became short with me, said that she had a client after me. Then, with an attitude, she turned the nail drill to a higher speed and quickly passed them over my nails as if to appease me. She was rough, and it hurt. I told her to slow down. She again reminded me that she had another client after me then proceeded to wrap up the manicure. At the end she asked, Are your nails giving you gel manicure vibes? To which I replied No. I still think theyre way too thick. Without a comment she just checked me out.My resulting manicure looked like thick clumps of unshaped powder. Ive never received a powder manicure that looked like this. I paid for a service, not for the push-back or the unsatisfactory results. I thought Id give her the benefit of the doubt but after a few comments from friends and coworkers, I realized it wasnt just me. I truly believe that this visit should not reflect this establishment as a whole, I think I just had a terrible experience. Im writing this review not to deter future clientele (I highly encourage giving patronage to this black-owned business to see if its different for you) but to alert management that this should not have happened.

I found a deal through Groupon to use for a full set. The decor and ambiance is very nice. The owner is welcoming and friendly. My service was okay. Not the best and not the worse. The chairs although cute for appearance was hard on my back. I winded up standing midway as this was more comfortable then sitting. But very nice to see a black owned and ran nail salon

Today, I stopped by to SUPPORT A BLACK BUSINESS 🙄 the lady who greeted me was Soooo unwelcoming I literally felt like she was offended by my presence. Born and raised in Newark, returning from Cali after 17 years and soooo disappointed a sister with a stank attitude actually made me feel so unwelcome. Left a $10 deposit for an appointment 2 1/2 hours LATER….walked around the corner and found a shop AND I LOVE MY NAILS !!! keep the $10 deposit I WILL NEVER BE BACK

Honestly.... I paid close to $200 usd for Bella Nail and lounge near teachers village and my nails broke off on each hand. The first time my nail popped off hey offered to fix it however I was already on vacation. Then another nail popped off. I supported this black business from not only purchasing two services but also purchasing merchandise in addition to tipping. My nail tech was unwelcoming up until 90 minutes into my service however it was all fine because I support my local businesses aside from its lack of customer service. It’s disheartening to find the poor quality products being used on what is seemingly aspirational high end businesses. Newark desires better.It’s cheap and they charge too much for half par work 🤷🏽‍♀️I got them done Saturday and it’s only Tuesday.3 of my nails have fallen off and the owner leaves fake reviews to seem like they are doing something.Update ***The owner rectified the incident once I returned from vacation and I sat with a different nail tech who was literally amazing. I’m happy with my results and definitely will never get HD Gel polish again!

Regrettably, my experience today left a lot to be desired in the aspects of customer service and respect. I purchased 2 Groupon vouchers for a spa pedicure and a full leg wax. I only purchase Groupon vouchers for initial visits and this was no exception, as I wanted to find out if this establishment would ultimately be a good fit for a bridal party I am planning for my friend. If I am happy with the services I receive, I then become a loyal customer, as I believe in supporting small businesses. Unfortunately, based on what transpired, I wont be returning.I scheduled a 3:30pm appointment for a full leg wax and a 4:15pm appointment for a spa pedicure using their online scheduling system, which requires a deposit for each service. I am not a novice when it comes to these services and based on previous and more pleasant experiences, allotting 45 minutes for a full leg wax was never an issue. I got to my appointment at 3:25pm only to be told that I did not have a 3:30pm appointment. I was told that my leg waxing appointment was rescheduled to 4:00pm because of the time it would take to complete the service, but I did not receive notice advising me of such - not even a courtesy call. I spoke to the owner, as well as an employee and showed them my email inbox confirming my appointment times. I told them that I was willing to wait to be seen for both services.The owner told me that she would have Armanii come take a look at my leg hair to make an assessment on how and if the services would be done. That time never came. Instead - and I kid you not - Armanii proceeded to start doing the owners nails, while I waited for almost an hour! This should have been my cue to leave, but I waited patiently. I figured that my wax would be done after Armanii was finished with the owner. I scheduled my pedicure with Kayla, who walked in a few minutes shy of 4:15pm. She called me to the seating area to start my pedicure, which was okay.While Kayla was doing my pedicure, the owner addressed Kayla and asked me for my name. She told Kayla that I had a waxing appointment with Armanii, but that it was up to her whether I would be seen or not, which left me speechless. Once my pedicure was done and I dried my toes, Kayla told me that Armanii would call me in for the waxing - at this point I was not informed that I would not receive the waxing services. I told Kayla I would come back, since my meter was expiring soon. Had I known I would not be seen, I would have never added more time to the meter.Upon returning, I sat in the chair waiting for Armanii, since my toes were fully dry at this point. After waiting for over 15 minutes, I stood up and asked Kayla if Armanii would be calling me in for my wax service. Kayla went to get Armanii, who came back and told me that she does not know who I spoke to, but that my appointment would have to be rescheduled - the reasoning was that my toes were still wet, which was not true. I asked her why I could not be seen today and she responded that doing both services was not scientifically possible; her tone very condescending towards me. Her reasoning was that my toes were still wet and that if they got damaged during my waxing, it would not be fair to Kayla. I explained to her that my toes were fully dry, since my pedicure was completed almost an hour ago.Armanii still would not budge and asked me to reschedule, but since it is MDW, there is no availability before my vacation. At this point, I was so disappointed in her lack of common courtesy and told her I would be cancelling. There we no other patrons occupying her time. I requested a refund for my pedicure deposit and I figured that I would just use the remaining deposit amount for Kaylas tip. She refused to apply my deposit for the full leg wax towards Kaylas tip, saying it was nonrefundable because I was cancelling the appointment, failing to comprehend that I cancelled the appointment because it was impossible to receive the service that I scheduled today based on the lack of communication between the employees of the business.

I picked this business because it’s black woman owned but the treatment I received for their mistake was honestly disheartening. I booked an appointment last Sunday for an upcoming vacation but that day I received a call from the shop asking me to reschedule due to conflicting schedules which was not a problem. But the time that I was booked for was not a good time for me so I had rescheduled. But when I went to call a tech tells me that I wouldn’t be able to reschedule because I never had an appointment in the first place. Speaking to me in a way that made it seem like I was lying about a nail appointment .She then ask me to text her proof of my appointments which I send but instead of calling me back I have been left on read since last Monday.

I wanted to find a black owned nail salon to do my nails when I get lazy and don’t feel like doing it myself. I’m happy I had the opportunity to try Bella’s. Kayla did my nails. She was gentle and knowledgeable and kind. Overall the ladies seemed very nice and professional. I’m happy with the way my nails came out and that Kayla was able to preserve my length. I would definitely love to go back or host an event there Post COVID.

I found this place on Groupon and was really excited to try it out. When I walked in, I was amazed by how beautiful the salon is and how friendly everyone is! They offered coffee, hung up my jacket, got to know me, and even gave me a free sample of an exfoliating scrub on the way out. I got a gel manicure last week and the polish did not last well. However, I got in contact with Bella and I came in and they fixed it and it looks beautiful! They have great customer service and the friendliest staff. Ill definitely be back :)

I was lucky to get a last minute appointment at this awesome salon. I made the appointment the night before and when I arrived the next day there was no waiting time at all. I had a gel mani with Armanii and a relax release relief pedi. The pedicure with Sirena was amazing!! My feet have never felt so good. Perfect before my long flight home to Germany. My only complaint is that you girls dont have a salon in Leipzig!! Thank you so much!! 💍👰❤

The place is nice and the staff member servicing me was friendly however, my nails did not come out looking professionally done. I had dm’d the shop on Instagram a design that I had wanted and they said they could do it and gave me an estimate. I showed up for my appointment and was told otherwise so I just stuck to a solid color with a plain square shape. I came out of this appointment after paying $60 for a full set and acrylic with chunky, uneven nails, acrylic and nail polish around my nails, and two cuts on my fingers that I was not told about when they occurred. Mind you I was the only customer in the shop and I was there in the middle of the day so there were no outside factors affecting this manicure. The atmosphere was nice, cute, and clean and this is a black-owned business but, I will not be back to get my nails done here.

The vibe at Bella is amazing so relaxing and mellow. The staff is always friendly and informative. The cocktails from the receptionist are always great. It feel like family at Bella I go as often as I can. Lisa is so sweet and the handmade products they use and sale are something special. Forget bath and body works go to Bella’s and try her Queenie collection of scrubs, oils and body butter and thank me later.

I visited Bella Nail Lounge for the first time on 8/21 and it was a wonderful experience! I scheduled a gel fill and gel pedicure. The entire experience was fabulous. This was my first experience at this salon and it definitely wont be my last. I had a fantastic pedicure. They took there time and didnt rush me, sat me right away, and vauled my comfort level by actually assisting with what color would work particularly with my completion. The second I sat down she asked me what water temperature I prefer, that has never happened at any other salon. Every member of the staff made you feel at home. Truly happy I found this place.

Very impressed with the decor of this establishment in the heart of Newark. Friendly staff and great customer appreciation. I gave them 2 stars because my appt was scheduled with Michelle for 6:45pm. Upon my arrivaI I was told she was running behind schedule and Kayla would take care of me instead. My 6:45 appt started at 7:15p with Kayla who was extremely tired and hadnt eaten or had a break all day. Needless, to say the service I received reflected of her condition. Minimal effort was put into ensuring my toenails were filed and buffed smoothly. When she applied the white nail polish the big toes looked rough and messy. I expressed this to Kayla and she attempted to do it over with the same results. Second time around she only put one coat of white polish and then a top coat. Michelle had to ask her to use nail polish remover to clean up the sides of my toes. Left my 6:45 appt after 8pm went home and applied a second coat of white polish myself. I just couldnt be bothered to make another complaint. I understand how it is when someone hasnt eaten or had a break all day. To management please make sure your staff is happy so your customers will be happy as well. I will patron this black owned establishment again because I believe in supporting my people and hope to receive better service .

Love the manager and love the employees very welcoming staff to the very moment you walk in to the very moment you walk out. I have to say that I have been looking for a black owned nail salon for a long time and I tried one previously and had a horrible horrible experience, Bella’s completely changed my view of black owned businesses. Absolutely gorgeous spa in downtown Newark! The aesthetics inside the salon alone will captivate you. The staff are welcoming, professional, and personable. Oh this is a wonderful spot! All of the team members are very friendly and approachable. There is a wide variety of services to choose from, and everyone is super knowledgeable about their craft. And the bath products are divine!!! They use them during your service. The body butters are a must♥️. So are appointments, and you can book online. You also get text and phone reminders for your appointment, which is great. They are very responsive to inquiries and have a heavy presence on FB and IG, so check them out there as well.Michelle is my manicurist - she is great! Two pedicures in and my feet are so much happier. And my powder manicure is beautiful.Just two downsides. One is parking, which is tough in Newark, so leave ample time to get a spot nearby. And second, the manicure station is a little awkward to sit at; you have to lean forward a bit. That said, I am so happy to go there now. It is really worth the trip. 💅🏽

A very unrelaxing experience...the chairs (which were not even massage chairs) were too big for me and so during the whole service my back was unsupported. Their way of removing gel polish with acetone dried out my hands and it required me to constantly be moving my fingers the entire time I was getting a pedicure.Also they keep saying they returned my refundable deposit but I had to call multiple times and still never received it!!My nails turned out OK and conversation was friendly but I would not return here.

It takes entirely too long for nails to get done. My daughter got her nails done for prom. She went on her own. $115 for tips with design and a pedi. She came home with white filling crusted on the sides of several nails and woke up missing rhinestones. The setting was really nice.So here’s my story: I called to schedule the appointment. The person was very nice. I told her I needed a gel Acrylic Full Set and I asked for the price so I can be prepared. She told me about $35. Which is what I normally pay. Anyway, I personally don’t like using my cards at places I’m not familiar with so I withdrew $60 because of tip ( and most ATMs not believing in $10 bills). When I arrived, everyone was really nice. My nail technician, Mai, was kind and very gentle. I asked for the price again for confirmation. They told me $60 for regular nail polish and $70 for gel. Now I don’t know about everyone else, I’m a Social Worker and a graduate student so it’s rediculous to pay $70 for just my nails. And if I had known, I would’ve said never mind.So I asked why it’s so expensive and all I got was “well, we have quality stuff...” it’s whatever at this point for me. So I picked something else.Like I said, the nail tech was amazing but her skills was horrible base on how my nails looked after. Needless to say, my nails were terrible: they were Lumpy, uneven and to be plain, a “hot mess”.They were really small and did not have a lot of options, color wise.The most horrible thing to me was when the owner walked in; she said hi to special my nail technician and another customer and completely ignored everyone else. I’ve been to a lot of small places where the owners normally just say hello to everybody. So maybe I’m a little spoil but I didn’t like that. I also didn’t like that she said that her employees should not be playing hip hop in the shop because she didn’t want them to scare her customer away (she was talking about this one customer she said hello to).Honestly, they don’t deserve my one start but the tech was really nice so It’s for her kindness.

Last week on 11/27/2017 I decided to finally go check out Bella Nail Lounge and Beauty Bar located at 41 Maiden Lane, Newark NJ in Teachers Village.I had heard some really good things about their Services & couldnt wait to go see for myself. I was fortunate to find a good parking space at a meter at 2:50p. The meter said 2 hour parking, but actually only accepted enough money for 1 hour, so be careful not to get a ticket.I entered & a young lady at the counter asked May I help you? I told her I would like a Manicure & Pedicure. She apologized & said we are all booked up for today. I was disappointed.So, since it was my first time there, I asked her do you have to have an appointment? She said to me, No, but if we are all booked, we cant service you...there was a dead silence as I stood there, kind of in shock by her response. I really didnt know how to take that.That was my first encounter & contact with Bella Nail Lounge & Beauty Bar. Nothing else was said, therefore I asked her for one of the cards laying on the counter. She handed it to me & I said Thank you & I left.I wont let that experience deter me from trying again. Every Receptionist is the clients first introduction to any Business. I just think it wasnt introduced properly. Maybe she could have explained more about the services & appointments, referred me to the website or offered me the card on the counter, which offers a 10% discount. Never let your potential client walk away with nothing.I Will Try Again...See you Soon!

I love Bella! They have the best atmosphere and people there! Lisa, the owner, is amazing and she also makes the soaks, oils and other bath and body products they use for the pedicures (theyre also for purchase and Queenie is one of my favs!) I go there regularly and get the powder mani and express pedi by Michelle. I recently got the microshading done by Lisa and I love my eyebrows! No more wasting time filling them in in the mornings! Been going here for about 2 years and shes got a lifetime customer!

I went here for a mommy and daughter day. I was thoroughly impressed. They were professional and accommodating. My feet were done by Michelle. She did an amazing job! My pedi lasted THREE weeks. Armoni did my eyebrows. She had amazing conversation and i left that table feeling beautiful and valued. Mai did my nails. She checked in to making sure she gave me everything i needed. My daughters learned the value in supporting black owned business AND self care. They feet were massaged in all natural ingredients, none of the toxic smells that usually irritate my daughters asthma were present. It smells AMAZING IN THERE!! When I first started going to Bellas I loved the service. Unfortunately on July 24, my opinion changed, when the girl I booked for my appointment was fired. That was my favorite person. Armani knew how to do my nails and pedi just the way I liked it. Also she always use to arch my eyebrows nice. On that day her boss decided to fire her on the day of my appointment in front of me. I felt as if that was unprofessional. After getting my nails done with S.o.s my nails were chipping within a week. I was disappointed, because i spent all that money for my nails to be chipping within a week. I was upset 😡. Especially because this was owner who did my nails. It was a rushed job.

Atmosphere amazing ladies professional Sirena mani pedi was great I wanna say Amani hope I said her name right did my brows just loved it!!! However parkimg is limited so uber and catch bus depending on when you go cuz that school traffic is a nightmare bit their exquisite service makes up for that!!! Im definitely coming back!!!

1st visit I had to wait 25 minAFTER my scheduled appointment for service. 2nd visit I had to wait 8min AFTERmy scheduled appointment 3rd visit I was 9min late(I called to inform) due to the rain storm and was told if I were 1 more min late I wouldn’t get serviced. I was extremely patient on my first two visits and wasn’t given the same respect due to weather. Michelle’s sns mani was subpar, nails chipped within a week. Customer service was seemingly great until my third visit. I will not be returning. The lack of empathy broke my spirits considering I was so patient with them. Lulu’s attitude wasn’t very welcoming. Im very disappointed, beautiful salon but my experience went from bad to worse.I didn’t say anything about the chips because Michelle is very nice and I figured I could just keep her updated on the following visit and it’ll get better. I wanted to love this salon. So disappointed that I’m still salon hunting :-/

I would first like to start off by saying STEPHANIE AND SIERRA are amazing! (sorry if i spell anyones name wrong lol) Both ladies have a beautiful soul and personalities. Stephanie was so sweet and kind and gentle. While Sierra provided information regarding pedis and was very personable. There is another tech Mikayla (sorry if I spell the name wrong, who was just the sweetest)I was about 10 to 12 min late, kept calling and nagging the ladies in which to my surprised they were very kind and understand. (Path trains were acting up and delayed me)Stephanie can SHAPE okay! I rarely find great nail techs that can shape and do my nails. She talked to me about herself and seemed interested in me the client, which is hard to find in Newark period.Sierra was just as sweet. She actually talked me out of getting a gel pedi and provided me with the information as to why gel pedis can be harmful. I have never had a good experience with regular pedis so I was fearful. However, THIS IS THE BEST PEDI i ever received. Thank you girl !The thing is, not sure if I would go back. While the ladies there have great report with their clients I felt awkward vibes from Lulu and oddly enough Michelle (who was super nice to me) I guess it is because when Sierra came over to get me from the couch as I was getting up Lulu made a gesture making fun of me. Look its rude okay and if I was to say something about that, I am sure I would be in the wrong. But I guess the woman who is doing your nails feels better than you for some unknown reason. I believe she thought I was upperidy black girl. Which I am lol but i never forget where I came from. To make fun of a client because she holds her self in a high standard is weird. While talking to Stephanie about the nails techs I had been too. (Stephanie asked, she wanted to know) I mentioned I had got my nails done by Beyonce nail tech (Momo, OhMyNails, in LES/ABC City). LOL Now Lulu was ear hustling and I truly believe she THOUGHT i was trying to impress them. NOPE, I was just happy that I got my nails done by a celeb nail tech. What I was actually explaining to Stephanie was that fact that Momos price was affordable in a sense if you did not mind a plain mani, without designs.It took me back when I found out LuLu was the manager. Not only was she a manager but she was speaking poorly of the receptionist who appeared to had quit that same day lol. (talking about their employee group text) Look as a new client I should not know these things. Not only was the attitude off but my mother whom had just got her nails done by Lulu the day before came in, said Hi and Lulu walked right past her.Look do what you want to me make fun of me all you want, but please don be rude to my mama. I love my mother and it drives me insane when she is greeting someone and theyrre rude.SMH. I worked in Newark, and let me tell you ... its a lil newark in there lol. I felt beyond awkward.I love the fact that it was black owned and thats what made us go but gessh... please get the staffs attitude is better. Because these upperidy black woman that you look down on for whatever reason, is paying to be service. and could also bring in more clients... so odd when places like this turn out this way. It was beautiful inside and smelled good.

Let me start by saying I am hard on my nails and brutal on a manicure. I often nick and smear my nails before Ive left the shop. I had my manicure done by Ms. LULU two weeks ago and I swear she maybe a nail whisperer-no smears, nicks or chips. For the first time in a long time I kept manicure nails longer than 3 days, I worked in the yard (dirt), washed my hair (scrubbing my scalp), and had to dig in my mary poppins bag with no fear of my nails being shredded. Ask for Ms. Lulu aka nail whisper!

Sirena was soo nice and just down to earth. she was very patient and flexible. At bella, they educated me on different oils and how to improve my overall nail care and health. I even bought one of Bellas cutical/bath and full body oils and I am IN LOVE. This kind is called bellatini!! Its a black owned business handled by women of color and everyone there was respectable and professional. They even offer complimentary beverages upon arrival and very good with staying close to time on appts. Will definitely come back!

PROM NAIL NIGHTMARE! I had been following this nail place for a while on IG, I often try to support black owned businesses until they give me a reason NOT too! How my daughter ended up going recently was someone we knew referred us and offered her a discount on a nail job for her prom. In May 2018, the Monday before my daughters prom she had an afternoon appointment, we arrived and were told her nails would be done by a tech named Zee. Now I would like to add my daughter has been getting tips since age 13 and shes now 17. So she knows what to do and what to expect. It took the nail tech 3 hours to do a full set w/acrylic, 4 nails of designs and the others solid color. I was watching from a far and notice several non usual ways of the nail process but my daughter seemed ok so I chilled. But when I did check I noticed that the polishing on the nails was sloppy and I had to instruct the tech to clean it up. Also the nails with stone design were never first done with acrylic so I was concerned about that. We finally leave and once home checked the nails against the prom dress they did NOT match color but we could work with it UNTIL several of the nails BROKE!! By this time, its a day before prom & the nail salon is closed for 2 days midweek!! So I did contact someone via DM on IG but after the horrible work and service I refused to go back there & allow my daughter to be bothered. Mind you all this costed $65, which was WASTED!! B/c she had to go to our usual nail salon & have them repair the horrible work done! (spending more money) Whoever responded to me, had the nerve to offer a discount on next service but we will NOT be back! The only tech that looks like she knows what shes doing is MAI that works there b/c she had a client while we were there and her nails looked great! Oh almost forgot they put some type of lotion on my daughters hands and arms (that is made by the owner, that they bragged about) only for it to cause a BREAKOUT on my daughter. I recommend they get more EXPERIENCED nails techs, have more staff, learn to be more accomidating during a high busy season such as Prom season. B/c no one hardly came in there while we there. Also lower the prices for the services they offer b/c its not worth it from what we got. I dont need any response from this business owner, this is just a buyer beware to others. Oh another issue, all nail techs should have their own tools! I noticed that they were sharing nail tools which to me should be a no go!

I would NOT give this place not even one star, NOT even the tip of a star!!!!!!!! . I called them on Thursday, March 15th and made an appointment for 12noon the following day, March 16th.They took a deposit of $22.50 for a mani and pedicure and sent my receipt via text. So today they called me at 10:44am saying that the person who’s supposed to do my nails had an emergency and had to leave early therefore they had to move my appt to 1pm. I wasn’t happy about it but I said ok because it was my day off and it’s the only day I had to get it done. Anyways I took a nap, I woke up at 12noon as I had set my alarm so I could get dressed and be there for my 1pm appt. I checked my phone and saw a text from Bella Nail lounge text at 12:00pm stating “oh we have moved around some things and can now accommodate you for 12:30pm appt. I had just woken up so I typed “ok thank you”. My question is why did they texted me 30 mins prior. They have no idea where I’m coming from and how soon I can get there. They also inconvenienced me the first one and now I’m suppose to rush???? Last time I checked I’m not a super hero. I got dressed and planned to get there at 1pm which I agreed to when I spoke to the young lady on the phone. Fast forward, I’m now around the corner looking for parking, my phone rang, it’s the Bella Nail. The lady said “Hey Miss **** you’re late for your appointment, urrm say what now?? My appt is for 1pm. She began to say my refund has been forfeited etc etc like really lady!!! . It’s either you guys do my nails or refund me. They inconvenienced me then tried to keep my money. So I told the lady that I’m around the corner and I’m coming in because the phone conversation isn’t going well. I walked into the establishment where I saw two females, one of which stared me until her eyes hurted.I didn’t pay her any attention. I continued my conversation with the other young lady about my appointment and how to resolve the issue. Out of the nowhere states the other female, “You made me f***ing come down here for nothing”. At first, I thought she was on her phone but noooo, this woman was really directing her statement to me. I was sooo shocked. I turned around and ask her who she’s really talking to and we had a little back and forth, meanwhile the other female (the manager) is telling her to stop. The disrespectful female continued to yell and act ghetto. She then said to me “get out!!!”. I looked at her like she had four heads because there’s no way this lady is in her right mind. Once again we are going back and forth. I turned around and tried to finish my conversation with the store manager who’s stated that the “owner” will call me in regards to my refund. She also stated that they moved my manicure to 2pm, at this point I’m all confused as to when I agreed to a 2pm manicure. I went from requesting a 12 noon appointment to a 1pm to asking to a 12:30pm (without my agreement) and then now a 2pm. What kind of unprofessionalism is this. The female continued to shout and called me names, she then said she is going to call the cops, I told her go ahead because all I’m doing trying to get my nails done or my money back. I even mentioned coming back another day just to be done with it. The female went for security who entered the establishment and said absolutely nothing to me and just mind his business. I was “still” trying to get the issue resolved with the other female. The loud female hid behind the security recording me so when I realized that she was doing so. I asked her why and she replied “because I don’t want you to slip out with anything”. How disrespectful and rude and judgemental. What could I possibly want from a nail salon? Nail polish?? One thing I’m not is a thief, how dare this woman. I ended up getting half of deposit back and she stated that the owner will call me about the other half of my refund until this day, I haven’t heard from the owner!!! So I was verbally attacked, my appointment was moved around multiple times and I was recorded for what exactly???? That female was soooo rude and ghetto!

I gave an initial review with the jelly pedi and it really was great especially since I was a walk in. Appointments on the other hand are HELL to deal with. Im a vlogger so I tell the truth. After my amazing experience (Even with my nails) I attempted to make an appointment for a nail app. The phone call I was supposed to receive for confirmation was a reschedule the day before with no explanation just a complimentary body butter(which I have already purchased) OK. No biggie. When I called to confirm the reschedule 48 hours prior no response. I mean I called a lot ...no answer. Never ended up going. I booked and appointment on Google the next week which was easier than the website. The next day I get a cancel saying that I never confirmed. I got an email AFTER the cancel for confirmation. I never Check my email. I said cool. No biggie. An error that can be resolved but why wasnt your phone being answered during normal business hours. My final straw was I bought a Groupon for a wax. I called after I purchased and told the owner It is HELL trying to book online. You have to figure out time zones, calculate longitude and latitude. Its easier to do it on Google than on your website PLUS I have to pay more money to book and I have already paid for the service. I was told I still needed to pay her, book online and then she would give me the money back....I just had had enough. Asked for refunds and she said I needed to see Groupon for that. Its too many good nail salons like Design nails AND now that European wax center is right down the way...I dont have to be agitated for the hour or 2 Im paying a couple of hundred dollars for just because the salon looks pretty. The experience became crazy. When I started booking to become a regular. Nice place but not when you start booking appointments and calling.
