1. Driver didnt want to wait 30 minutes to be loaded- how long they think it takes to park and load 10 pallets and prepare the paperwork?2. They left the freight behind without giving me any notification, email or a phone call and i had to pay storage3. Delivery to final destination got delayed as freight was mixed4. Ten they told me freight was lost.5. Good luck filing a claim. This company should not exist.

Try not to block yard jockeys and delivery hrs are from 9am to 7pm and they let you sleep in the yard.

Other than how long they took to open the gate upon entering and exiting, they were quick. Got unloaded in about an hour.

This is the first time that I was getting a delivery from this carrier. They do not call to schedule a delivery appointment. I called to confirm if I was getting a delivery that day, they told me between 11am-2pm. 230pm passed, called for ETA, they told me 3pm no later than 330pm, okay. Waited, called again at 4pm, this time the driver called me and told me 30 mins away. OK waited. About 5pm the driver called and told me that he was stuck at the last destination and wasnt going to deliver.I told him, I waited since 3pm for this pallet. So I called 973 # and told the rep about it and told them to reschedule it for tomorrow. I told the rep, I would like it to deliver around 11am-2pm. I finally got it at 3pm. I think they need to do a better job of logistics. Make the destination closer. Make it easy for the driver.

The good news: Generac makes a great generator. The bad news: everything else. The trucking company was supposed to call to make an appointment for the delivery. Instead I got a call from the driver on Saturday asking where to put it. I was working and it came as a voice mail that I responded to quickly – the driver said he went ahead and delivered it. I was a little annoyed that I didn’t have the opportunity to inspect it or sign for it, but okay.I called my wife to confirm the delivery and it had indeed been delivered – to my neighbor, 150 yards down our country road. I called the driver back. “What do you want me to do about it?” he asked. I told him I wanted him to come back and put it in my driveway. “I’m not doing that. It’s portable – you can push it.”I had to wait until Monday to call the carrier, SAIA. An automated message said that I would be called back in approximately 10 minutes. An hour later I called Electric Generators Direct. I was happy with the response I got from the rep; she understood my frustration and assured me that she would look into it. She also informed me that SAIA had farmed the delivery out to an unnamed third-party carrier. At the end of the day she called me as promised. She said she was just touching base as SAIA had told her that they had contacted me and scheduled delivery for the next day. I told her that I had heard from no one. Now equally frustrated she promised to straighten it out. That was Monday evening; it’s now Wednesday morning and I’ve heard from no one.You can get a good generator pretty much anywhere, but unless you enjoy this level of ineptitude, unprofessionalism, and disregard then I would suggest you buy it from someone other that Electric Generators Direct or allow it to be transported by SAIA.

I was supposed to have something delivered through this company and they completely missed the delivery window. No communication to let me know when it will be rescheduled, or to tell me they wouldnt deliver it during your scheduled delivery date. When I call customer service they tell me they dont know where my package is! Make matters worse, theyre closed on the weekends so now I have to wait until Monday to get back in touch and hopefully find my package. Stay clear from this company.

Id give -5 stars if possible. NYC Residential freight delivery was a total and complete nightmare. If you enjoy doing business with companies who have no respect for your time, then this is the company for you. If you enjoy being on the phone daily for 3 weeks until you want to punch a hole in your wall, as an entire staff passes the buck and the blame, youll love Saia Ltl Freight. And if you love losing work days to commitments they wont feel inclined to keep or communicate with you about (they finally delivered my table the 3rd date they said they would, no advanced calls to warn me of the no-shows, and there was that one day they showed when we werent scheduled), well look no farther. But if thats not enough, these guys will even refuse to deliver to you until your shipment is rescued by another delivery company whose drivers can actually step indoors, even though all they have to do is think to ask if you have a loading dock. And if you dont have a loading dock, and dont really want your shipment after all, this is your sure bet. Enjoy your kick in the nuts, and dont say I didnt warn you.

Loading a trailer without securing huge metal parts is ludicrous. Drivers opening the doors on loads should not have to worry about falling objects striking them. Very careless of Saia.....
